Disclaimer: I wish they were mine... but they're not

A/N: This, my friends, is the shortest chapter I have ever written. I swear even I am appalled at how short it is oO However, it couldn't –and shouldn't- be any longer: short as it is, it gets my point across and that's all I wanted… Don't worry though, evil shortness won't become a habit, I swear :)

I mean this "happy" hour means he'll have to get separated from Fai! So sad! (I'm a sadist, I know x) )

RemiRobin: Ah, so it's quite new^^ I hope you don't have too many difficulties, French is rather difficult a language to learn (English is soooo much easier lol) And yeah, Drunk!Fai! It's far from new (I mean, everyone has done a drunk Fai at least once x) ) But I think there are some things that couldn't have been said without that^^'

Sinclair: Ah, that's because I'm ahead of myself in terms of writing so it helps^^ Fai's forming a band was somehow logical to me: I think he would need to have complete control over at least some part of his life… And since he can't really control people, I suppose he would appreciate to be able to control what his does with his music. But of course, that's only my interpretation^^ Ah, and pardon my question, but what kind of symbol do you see in Fai's forming a band? (I hadn't really intended to put any symbolism in that, so I'm curious about the one you found^^)
Ahah, yeah, Kuro-Baby's growin up… about time! Now Fai'll be able to stop seeing him as a little brother :)
Yeah, he was my favorite, too! When I was young I was almost in love with him… So much good memories ^^
So, here is the "Phone Call" … niark niark x)

Tuliharja: Ah, Kurogane dating someone else… I don't know. I mean, I can only picture him dating Fai… I don't think he will really date someone before Fai. What I'm really hesitating about is: will he be a virgin when he gets with Fai or not? But I really can't picture him dating anyone but Fai (I think he'd murder me if I made him do so) In any case, there won't be a full chapter for that, only mention(s) but… Well I don't know yet. Tell me what you think!
Hum, from what I know, Gay Churches consider themselves as Catholics, only they're not recognized by the main body (Like at first Protestants considered themselves as Catholics and the Church didn't recognize them so them became a new religion). But as you said, they're pretty much alone, and I don't think it would change many things if they became a new religion^^'
I totally agree with you on that point :) Fai in a dress is only good for Carnival x) (Or Kurogane's worst nightmares, but that's bound to be similar)
Ah, I personally couldn't have Fai seriously dating Tomoyo. I mean, I would perfectly see them engaged in playful flirt, but not in real dating… Yuui (the way I see him, at least) fits better with Tomoyo. But then again, this is my own vision of the character and, since we have so few elements on Yuui, there's about as many Yuuis as there are readers! To me, Fai and Tomoyo as exactly what you described: Partner in Crimes (and Kurogane is their favorite victim ^^)
Ah, I don't think 3 children is that much (but maybe it's because I'm used to 2 or 3 children families lol) but… I suppose it can be considered as a large family ^^
Well Sempai is a suffix for someone who is higher in his/her studies than you are, and since Sakura's too close to Kurogane to give him the "-san" but not so close as to call him Kurogane-kun, I figured it would be a good compromise.
Ahah, you're right not to like it x)
And yeah, Sayoran really is slow for that kind of things… I mean, look at the time it took him in CCS to realize he was in love with Sakura! ^^ Hadn't Chii helped him, he'd have takent ages to figure it out on his own (though I daresay he's faster when it comes to other peoples^^)
Ah, the whole teaching things… At first I wanted some change, because Kuro's always a P.E. teacher… but then I started to have some doubts, and your remark really settled that… So I think he'll change his mind some way or another. I'll just have to figure it out, cause it bothers me as well
And as for the Drunken Fai part… I know it's been done plenty of time before, but I think it was necessary to put this chapter here, because there are some hints that have been dropped for Kurogane that couldn't have been dropped here if Fai had been sober… So yeah, it's déjà-vu, but necessary one^^'

21 Phone Call.

There had been no sign of Ashura, not one tiny piece of news. All Fai was able to tell them was that Ashura was "A bit tired but fine. He sends his love."

Of course, the blonde had come up with at least a thousand ways of putting it, and most of the family bought it, but not Kurogane.

He had seen long ago that something was wrong with Fai and Ashura. Fai was a man of word, of voice, he couldn't stand not speaking to the ones he loved, so this total absence of phone call had immediately alerted Kurogane… the repetitive tone of Fai's so-called news of Ashura only brought more water to the mill.

What achieved to prove Kurogane's point, however, was a prank Chii had decided to pull on her brother.
Two days after New Year's Eve, when Fai had come back from shopping with a friend, she had welcomed him with an overly happy smile and a joyful look:

"Ashura called today! He wanted to wish you a very happy new year!"

For the shortest moment, Fai's face fell, and Kurogane could see all life and color flying from his face. But then, in the blink of an eye, the lie was firmly back in place, and Fai's smile was wider and brighter than ever.

"Really? Oh, that's sooooooo nice of him!"

He spent the next quarter of an hour bouncing around the place, pretending to be overexcited and the happiest man of all, but it was too late: this Time, event Chii had seen the crack in the wall.

When Kurogane felt the need to have a glass of water that night, not long before one in the morning, he realized what had prevented him from sleeping correctly for months.

Coming from Fai's room, he could hear low, heartbreaking sobs echoing on the walls.
