Sorry it took so long to get this chapter up it is long and was difficult to write.

Heart to Heart

It was around 2AM when Seth and I made it back to La Push. Seth didn't want to but we went our separate ways once we reached the forest edge. I have patrol with Aspen and Aden at three. I wanted to shower and have a few minutes alone before patrol. So I sent him home to rest. It's still hard but I am getting better at not breaking down to tears every time Seth and I are apart for a while. When I reached my house I noticed a light on in the living room. I guessed that it was most likely Jared, considering a bag with clothes had been left for me in my usual hiding place. However when I went into the house, Braden was the one sitting in the living room.

"Hey, Ayasha"

"Hey, Little Bro"

I know that Braden also left us but I couldn't be angry with him. He was only seven at the time they left. What seven year old doesn't trust almost everything their parents tell them.

"What are you doing up at this hour?"

"Waiting for my older sister to come home."

"Sorry, I was hanging out with Seth."

"Well, I have to talk to you about something but we can't talk here."

"Can it wait until later?"

"It has to be now. You need to know this. I tried to tell Jared earlier but he wouldn't talk to me."

"Don't take it personally. Jared and I got in a fight earlier so he probably wasn't in a very good mood."

I grabbed my sweatshirt as I fallowed Braden out of the house.

"Where to?"

"How about first beach? I haven't gotten a chance to go there since we came back."

"To the beach then"

We didn't say much to each other on the way to the beach. At one point I caught what I thought was the scent of a vampire but it was so brief it couldn't have been that. As we got closer to the beach I thought I caught it again. I was starting to worry a little. I glanced over at Braden next to me to find that he wasn't there. He had stopped at the last spot I caught the scent.

"Braden are you coming?"

"Yeah, sorry"

He jogged over to me. it reminded me so much of the way Jared does.

"What's wrong? You look like something is bothering you."

"When I stopped back there it was because my nose started to burn. Like when you smell strong chemicals like bleach."

"Oh"

We were almost to the beach now.

"Am I crazy?"

"No, I wouldn't say that you are crazy."

"Wow, I thought the beach would be completely empty at this time."

I looked down the beach. About half way to the cliffs was a single person standing on the beach. I was surprised to know that Braden could see the man in the dark that far away. I suppressed a growl as the wind shifted. I didn't growl but a growl came from beside me. Where my younger brother stood seconds before now stands a wolf that is a mixture of my grey and Jared's brown. I quickly took off my sweatshirt because it was a Christmas gift from Sue. Once it was off I phased and howled to all the rest of the pack.

What the hell happened to me?

I really wish I could explain it Braden but right now you just have to trust me.

Ayasha you can hear me?

The whole pack can but I don't have time to explain. Fallow me quickly.

I took off running in the direction that the vampire went after seeing Braden phase. I looked back over my shoulder at Braden who hadn't moved.

Braden now

He was behind me in seconds after I gave the command. I felt Jake, Embry and Leah phase in.

Ayasha what it going on?

There was a vampire on first beach; I think he is headed in the direction of the second beach at this moment. I'm not as close behind him as I should be. I had a little complication.

Who is with you?

Well Embry that would be my complication. Guys this is my brother Braden. He phased when we seen the vampire on the beach. I'm sorry Jake I should have called you earlier. I caught quick scents before but I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me. I haven't slept in 48 hours.

Braden this is Jacob Black can you hear me?

Yeah, kind of it echoes, not clear like Ayasha.

It will do for now. Ayasha, Leah no restraints on running, I want him caught. Embry and I will take care of Braden and fill the others in on what is going on.

It only took moments for Leah to be by my side. Together we raced after the vampire leaving the rest of the pack behind. Normally we all run together as a pack so this was a little different. Before Jake and the others could catch up we had him pinned to the ground. Leah held him down by putting all of her weight on his chest, while I have my teeth around his neck keeping him from trying to fight against her. When Jake did arrive Edward and Carlisle were with him. We had crossed to the Cullens side during the chase.

"Who are you?"

"Call your dogs off me and maybe I'll tell you."

"Maybe I'll just let them have you. Ayasha the one that has her teeth around your neck, would really like to kill something right now. "

I couldn't help but to laugh to myself hearing that come out of Carlisle mouth. What happened with the Volturi kind or changed him.

"My name is Austin. Can I get up now?"

Carlisle looked at Edward to know if it was the truth.

"He is being truthful. Ayasha, Leah let him up."

Neither of us moved.

Go ahead and let him up. The others are surrounding us.

We both backed up, letting him up at Jake's say.

Wow, she finally learned to take orders.

I growled at Sam's comment.

Not now Ayasha.

After talking with the vampire for a while, Edward and Carlisle let him go. He was hunting and knew nothing about the Cullens or us. He left with the promise that he wouldn't come back or hunt here. Edward told him that if he did we would take him out.

"Nice work on catching him girls"

It make me feel good hearing Edward's comment. That was the first vampire I have ever hunted. The rest of the pack had gathered closer around. I walked over to Braden and pushed my head into his shoulder.

Come one new fur ball we have a lot to talk about.

I'm not a fur ball.

Go, look at yourself in the river and then tell me you aren't a fur ball.

Whatever, you're just jealous.

I rolled my eyes at him. Braden has always been the smartass one out of the three of us, even when we were younger.

Jared are you coming?

He hesitated for a moment before fallowing us back to the cliffs along the beach.

So, who's pack are you in anyway?

What do you mean? I thought there was only one pack.

Yes and no, technically there are three.

Well I guess I am in which ever one you are in.

We aren't in the same pack.

Why not?

Long story, the three of us are different though. Even though Ayasha and I are in different packs we can still hear each other. Other than us only the alphas can hear each other.

They have to try a lot harder than us to do it though.

Your alpha is going to be the loudest in your head. We would be the next along with the rest of your pack. Everyone else it quieter because you hear them though us.

So, who are your alphas.

Jared's alpha is Sam, mine is Jake and the other is Dylan.

How do I know though?

Remember when we were first leaving the beach and Jake tried talking to you. You said that you could hear him but it echoed. That means that he isn't your alpha.

Oh, so who was the one that was talking about Ayasha not listening?

That was my alpha Sam, at one point he was the only alpha.

He sounded a lot like Jake, far away.

That means that Dylan is your alpha.

I just caught a glimpse of the sandy colored wolf before it barreled into my side. Then pinning me down once he had tackled me.

Seth, get off me.

He continued to lay on top of me until I growled at him.

Seth is a wolf too? Does that mean that Kim is one?

Kim isn't a wolf. There are only three girl wolves; Ayasha, Leah and Aspen.

So, each pack has one?

No, because Ayasha and Leah are both in the same pack. Aspen is in yours though.

Seth began whining at ne because I wasn't paying attention to him.

What Seth?

Emily made breakfast.

Then go get food if you are hungry.

I can't.

You can go without me.

I did go.

Then what is the issue.

Paul and Sam keep talking about you. Jake told me not to worry about it but some of that they were saying wasn't very nice. Paul and I almost got into a fight about it. Jake told me to go cool off and not come back without you. He said that I can't fight Paul because I'm not a strong as you.

I could see in Seth's mind the things that Sam and Paul were saying. Most of the comments came from Paul and they were mainly about mine and Seth's relationship. I'm not going to lie some of the things that Paul said stung.

Seth, I told you not to let Paul bother you so much. He does it just to get on your nerves.

Jake said I can't go back to Emily's without you.

I'm a little busy right now though.

Please?

I nipped his ear for whining at me.

Ow, that hurt.

Go get me some clothes if you want me to go to Emily's with you. My sweatshirt is on the beach.

Seth took off running toward the beach.

Ayasha I thought that you and Paul were good friends what happened?

Paul and I are still good friends. Seth just gets jealous of Paul sometimes.

Just like Ayasha gets jealous of Aspen.

It's not my fault that she tries to cuddle and play fight with him like I do.

But it is your fault that you wear Paul's shorts.

That was Rachel's idea and Seth burned them at the bonfire in October. Any way Braden what were you going to tell me on the beach?

I overheard that stupid story that she told you yesterday afternoon. I wanted to tell you the reason they really left, if you want to hear it that is.

I looked over at Jared wondering what he thought.

First of all, Ayasha I want to say sorry for how I acted yesterday when you tried to tell me. I think we should listen to what Braden has to say.

Alright Braden go on.

At first they wouldn't tell me what was going on. They would fight all the time and your names would come up. It wasn't mom's idea to leave you. He was angry with her for even bringing me with them. He had decided that he didn't want any of us. We lived in a little cabin about five hours from here in the middle of nowhere. He was the only one allowed to leave.

By he you mean dad right?

Yeah, but I quit calling him that a long time ago. There would be others that came and watched over us while he was gone to make sure we didn't leave.

I leaned into his side and Jared the same on the other side of him. We were trying to protect him.

Seeing as it isn't the truth, I guess he got tired of mom begging to come back to you guys. He had told the both of us that you were dead. Mom hardly even talked to me for the next year and a half. She blamed him for making her leave you.

That's awful.

Why did they have Holly then? I mean if he didn't want us then why would he want her?

After he had told us that you were dead not talking wasn't the only thing mom did. More than once she tried to kill herself. When he asked her what would make her stop, she told him having more children would. That's how we ended up with Holly because even though he doesn't want us he wants to keep mom.

Why move back then?

Well, Holly is getting older and according to mom she looks just like you at that age. She had started talking about you two all the time again. One day about a week before we moved back she tried to kill herself again. Then the next day he told us we were moving.

He didn't seem that hateful towards us.

Jared's right, he didn't.

I'm guessing that he realized that he only way he could keep her was to let her have you guys back. I just know that, this is what I have had to grow up with. Whether you believe it or not, I thought I should share.

I didn't know what to say. I had always thought that if Braden and our parents were still alive that he was out there living the perfect life that every child should have. I would have never guessed that his life was so much like Jared's and mine.

Seth was back now and he brought clothes for me and both of my brothers. I had to shake my head at him for the clothes he brought me. It was one of my winter dresses from before I was a wolf meaning that it is too short now. Well, at least he brought leggings to go with it. I took the clothes that he brought me away from the guys to phase and dress. When I came back I went to Seth's waiting arms.

"What's wrong Ayasha?"

"I just feel awful."

"Why Babe?"

"Jared, Braden and I were all so close when we were younger. And I feel so horrible for ignoring Braden this past month since he came home. I always thought that he had gotten to live a happy life with our parents like we all were supposed to. Part of me hated him for it, but now I see that he had it just as hard or harder than I did."

I felt another set of warm arms wrap around me from behind. I turned to find that they belonged to Braden.

"You didn't know and it wasn't your fault."

I smiled at him. The four of us headed to Sam and Emily's to join everyone else. Jared left us as we passed Kim's house. As we reached the yard I was ahead of the two quite guys behind me. The moment I was in the yard they grew louder. I turned just in time to see Braden hit Seth in the back of the head.

"Hey, you are supposed to be nice to my imprint not beat him up. "

"Yeah, most important pack law is that an imprint can't be harmed."

"Well, if he wasn't staring at my sister's ass we wouldn't have any problems."

"Seth"

"Ow, what did you hit me for?"

"Cause you are being inappropriate."

"Normally that gets me a kiss not hit."

I had to laugh at the pouty face he was making. Braden was watching us carefully.

"Go on in and meet the pack, I'll come inside in just a minute."

Once Braden closed the door behind him, Seth pulled me into his arms. I tilted my head up to look into his eyes. The moment our eyes connected his lips came crashing into mine.

It ended up being almost five minutes before we went into the house. All of the younger guys wolf whistled at Seth causing me to blush. I should have known that they would be watching out the window. Emily handed me a fresh warm muffin and a mug of coffee.

"Thanks Emily."

"You're welcome and don't let your brainless brothers bother you."

"By the way speaking of brainless brothers, do you know where Paul is?"

"He is in the living room with Rachel."

I made my way through the maze of guys and into the living room. There I found Jake, Paul, Rachel and Quil holding a very sleepy looking Claire. Paul was standing in the corner talking to Jake way from all of the furniture, which was perfect in my mind. I walked up behind him and poured my entire mug of coffee on his head.

"What the hell?"

"Maybe you should be more careful with what you say about people."

"I…I… you heard all of that?"

"Yeah, stupid it's called pack mind."

"I guess this means I'm in trouble now?"

"I'll just settle for dumping coffee on your head."
