Tsubaki's POV, next day~

I watched as Derek, Jaspar, and Black Star dug the two holes. I waited for everyone else to start coming.

Almost everyone was here and I started to hear soft sobbing.

"Today, we lay Liz Thompson and Amelia Evans to rest. I ask for us all not to mourn their passing, but to smile at their memories." Jaspar recited, using his father's Bible. The longer it went on the more the bundle of blankets in my arms started to move. I quickly started rocking my arms, hoping to calm him down while I continued to listen to the funeral.

Soul tried to help with the burial but he kept breaking down, slowing down the whole process. Once it was over I walked over to Maka and Soul.

"If you need me to, I can watch Felix and Kalel for the night." I offered

"That may be best, I'm thinking of going to look for Tohnny's remains, so I can either bury or burn them." Her voice cracked while she rubbed Soul's back.

"No! He's the only thing I have left of Liz." Soul argued, reaching up to grab Felix from my arms.

"You can take care of him when you're rested." I sighed, carefully handing Felix over to an exhausted Soul.

"The crib is in Liz's room." Soul mumbled, holding Felix a little tighter.

"We can't stay here any longer. Meet in the town square in 20. Pack everything you can't spare." Kid ordered from the middle of the group.

"But I need to bury Tohnny." Maka frowned, obviously getting upset at the thought of not being able to put her child hood friend to rest.

"There won't be much to bury, and it'll be dangerous since you can't use Soul anymore." Kid sighed, rubbing his temple.

"I don't care. I need to bury him. Give me ten extra minutes, please." Maka begged. Kid sighed before nodding his head. Black Star quickly volunteered to help protect her.

I turned to get Felix from Soul but they were nowhere to be seen. "God dammit Soul." I grumbled under my breath.

I decided to go pack my and Star's stuff, since Star decided to go help Maka with Tohnny's burial.

I was about 15 minutes into packing when I heard knocking on the door, "It's open." I called, while continued to keep packing.

"I wanted to see if you wanted any help with packing." Derek blushed, walking into the room.

I walked over to him and pecked his lips, "I'd love your help."

Maka's POV

Star and I had been able to bury what was left of Tohnny's body, but now I was a snotty mess that not even Black Star could calm down.

"Will you help me pack?" I muttered, voice cracking multiple times. He silently nodded his head, and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Maka, where are we gonna live now?" Kalel asked from the side of the stroller. 20 minutes have passed and I had been able to calm down slightly.

"I don't know, maybe somewhere cool, like Disneyworld." I suggested, trying to sound cheerful.

"I don't wan-"

"Turn back now! Hurry." Kid yelled from the front of the group.

I looked up to see a pack of at least 25 zombies heading right towards us. I quickly picked up Kalel and turned around, rushing to get as much space between us and the zombies as possible.

"I got your bags." Crone yelled while grabbing most of the book bags out of the stroller. It didn't take him long to catch up with me. "I couldn't grab one of the food bags." He grimaced

"It's okay, you're safe and so is Kalel, food doesn't matter right now." I huffed, starting to get out of breath.

Black Star rushed towards me with Fire on his back. "Are you able to run with her? I can take is you need me to."

"Stop talking and move! We're going to Stein's." Kid ordered, we all did a sharp right and headed towards our former professor's house.

After about 8 minutes of jogging we were able to see the graveyard by his house.

We finally slowed down to a stop, and I was able to Kalel down before collapsing on the ground, gasping for air.

"Maka are you okay?" Soul asked, heavily breathing for air. I couldn't reply though, I was too busy focusing on avoiding an asthma attack.

Crona sat done next to me and placed my head on his lap. He rubbed my temple, calming me down a little. "You're all right, everyone's safe. It's time for you to calm down." He whispered.

"I could've done that." Soul pouted, upset he didn't think of it first.

It took about 5 minutes but I was able calm down enough to speak. "I'm okay now, thank you Crona." I sighed, taking deep breaths. I got back up and grabbed Kalel's hand.

"Did I scare you, Kalel?" I asked worried

"No, it's a lot like my breathing attacks." She smiled "I'm glad you're okay, those are really scary."

"You have asthma?" Soul frowned, holding baby Felix.

"I don't know what it's called but when I run really hard I can't breathe." She explained.

"Well we'll make sure you don't run that much, and start an inhaler collection." Soul replied grimly, hugging Felix tightly.

"Alright, we need to get inside Stein's." I sighed.

"Want a piggy back ride Kalel?" Crona asked, she just shook her head and rushed up to where Soul was; who was handing Felix over to Jaspar, leaving us alone. "Want a piggy back ride Maka?" he grinned, nudging my arm with his elbow.

I thought about it before finally nodding. "Sure, why not." I smiled, he bent down a little and I was able to jump on his back safely.

He started to sprint in order to catch up with the rest of the group. I squealed and clung to him until he started to slow down.

I laid my head on his shoulder and looked at the remainder of my friends. "I love you guys." I mumbled

"And we love you." Black Star chuckled, they all smiled at me except for Soul. He just gave me a sad look before kissing Felix's head, who was in Tsubaki's arms still.

"Hey Crona?" I whispered, loud enough for only him to hear.

"Yeah?"

"Did I fuck up? Was I too harsh on Soul? I mean we weren't even dating yet…" I mumbled, feeling sad.

"No, if he had done that to me, regardless of us dating or not, I'd never speak to him again. You're being generous." He sighed.

We were about half way through the graveyard before we were able to see Stein's house.

"Would you do it for a fuck?" I asked, nervous to hear the possible answer.

"No, I'd wait for the significant other to be ready for me to fuck their brains out." I could tell he was smirking.

"I'll remember that." I chuckled, we stayed silent until we got to the entrance.

"Remember, the welcome mat is a trap." I warned, remembering how Soul, Star and I were stuck in an 18 foot hole for two hours because Stein thought it was hilarious.

"Oh right, uhm I'll just stand over here then." Tsubaki mumbled, walking behind me.

I got down from Crona's back and walked over to where Kalel was, holding Soul and Fire's hand.

"What, got tired of your new fuck toy already?" Soul whispered harshly.

"Oh like you have any room to speak. Next time you want to have a fuck toy, use a condom." I spat. "And if you don't remember I just had an asthma attack, fuck off."

"Right, sorry. How do you feel?" he sighed, slouching a little.

"Fine now that everything calmed down. Thanks for actually caring for once." I mumbled before reaching in front of him to ring the doorbell. I watched as the door mat in front of the door slammed down, showing the trap.

"Ah so someon- you didn't fall." Stein frowned, cutting himself off

"Have you noticed the zombies and if you have; have you started a cure yet?" Kid asked

"You're missing a weapon… Why is there a new born with you?" Stein asked, avoiding the question

"Long story, now answer my question." When Stein didn't reply, Kid scowled. "There's a hoard of Zombies coming right now, please tell me you have a place to hide at least Maka and the kids."

"Why only me?" I protested

"You're the best at handling the kids other than Black Star and Tsubaki, and since you can't resonate with Soul, might as well keep you safe too." Kid explained

"You can't soul resonate? Do you need another training lesson with the candles?" Stein smiled, obviously thrilled at the idea.

"No, we're fine, if it'll work out, it'll work out on its own." I objected

"You sure? I can easily get it set for you." He smirked, showing some of the madness that was inside him.

"Positive, now do you have a safe place to hide from the hoard? We need to know." I asked hopefully,

He sighed but nodded his head, "It's in the basement. But that's boring, lets stay up here and dissect them." I scowled at him and he whined. "Well come on then."

He quickly led us downstairs, when the first of us started to reach the concrete Kalel screamed and started to cry. I pushed past everyone else and hugged her and Fire, shielding their eyes from all the things that were on shelves.

"Why didn't you warn us these were down here?" I hissed, looking at all the jars of organs and limbs.

"I assumed they had gotten use to the sight of these type of things." He replied simply, moving farther into the basement.

Soul and Black Star picked up the two girls and pressed the kid's heads into their shoulders, covering their eyes from all the other horrors in Stein's basement.

"What a good way to Kill yourselves, keeping children with you, I could take them off your hands." He smirked, slowly moving back the heavy door.

"Don't fucking touch them." Black Star hissed, Stein shrugged his shoulders while he opened the door.

"This is it, sorry it's so small, it was designed to be comfortable for just me, not a group of former students and complete strangers." He said before stepping aside, giving us room to step in. "There's an exit in the corner that leads out to the graveyard in case something happens with me. I'll let you out at some point. He started to close the door while the rest of us squished inside

"Well I guess some of us are going to need to sit on each other's lap." Kid sighed, looking around.

Jaspar ended up sitting on Kid's lap, while Tsubaki, with Felix in her arms, sat next to Star, who had Fire on his lap. Derek sat next to Tsubaki and Kalel decided to sit on Crona's lap. I looked around to see that the supplies took up a lot of the space, and that Patty was somewhat buried under it all.

I sighed and looked at Soul, "Is it alright if I sit on your lap?" He gave me a gesture to say that I was able to.

I sat down and got comfortable, "How are you?" I whispered

"I'm stressed, now the Liz is gone… I don't know if I can raise Felix on my own. He won't have a motherly figure while he grows up." He frowned

"He'll have a lot of mother figures. Tsubaki, Patty, Fire and Kalel." I sighed

"What about you?" he murmured, obviously hurt.

"I'm his God Mother, of course I'm going to be one of his motherly figures. How could you think otherwise?" I giggled, lightly flicking him on the forehead.

"I don't know what I was thinking." He smiled

It's been hours and Stein still hasn't come to get us. I looked around to see most of us had fallen asleep, even Patty, who was is a bag cocoon.

I started to feel my head drupe from exhaustion but kept fighting it since it wouldn't feel nice when I'd wake up.

"You can rest your head on my shoulder if you want." Soul whispered.

"Are you sure?" I asked,

"Of course, I've been wanting to get this close to you again for months now." He smiled. "I've missed you."

"Even though I still don't trust you, I've missed you too." I put my head on his shoulder, hiding my face in his neck and took a deep breath.

I felt arms wrap around my body. "I'll get you to forgive me one day." He whispered

"I hope so, I've missed my best friend." I mumbled before falling into a deep sleep.

AUTHOR SPEAKS~ Hey, long time no see. So chapter 21…. How crazy is that?! Well I'd like to let you all know I've decided to split the story into a series. Chapter 22 will be the last Chapter for this story. And then I'll finish "I Didn't See Anything!" and start on the second story. I have no Idea how many stories I'm going to have, the second one may be the last one, I may have a 55 story series (obviously that's my limit, 56 stories would just be too many.) let me know what you think of this pretty long chapter. A lot of stuff happened I think, a lot of side stuff was revealed, Like Tsubaki and Derek ;D Well. Thanks for reading, it means a lot to me. Review if you'd like. Love ya.
