Chapter 20: Blood Transfusion-Done By a Vampire

I saw the house and spend my pace up. I knew the Cullen's had come to visit to, so I banged on the door with my foot until someone answered. Luckily it was Carlisle. When he saw an unconscious Ivy in my arms he turned around and told me to follow him. We rushed up the stairs and to his office. Then he called Nessie and told her to get Jacob and get Ivy's parents. I backed away from the doctor as he worked. She had been wearing a tank top so he pulled the shirt down so that he could easily take care of her scratches but he didn't expose anything. He called Alice and she came in with a clip over her nose, a bowl of water in her hands, and towels thrown over her shoulder. She set the bowl and towels down the n left the room. I felt sorry for the Cullen's, all but one of them couldn't stand the smell of blood. Even if it was the blood of someone close to them. It put that person in danger. I looked down at my hands, they were covered in her blood, and so were my cloths. I watched as Carlisle washed the wound. With closer inspection, I realized that the scratches were bore like deep cuts. How could she do so much damage? Then I realized she must have been scratching a lot harder and she must have been doing it longer.
Just then Crystal and Embry walked into the room. Carlisle had stopped the bleeding but she had still lost a lot of blood. Carlisle turned and addressed my parents.
"What is her blood type?" he asked.
"It's AB negative. We had to fill a section out on that when we put up for adoption." My dad said.
"AB negative is the rarest blood type. Do either of you have that blood type."
"I do." Crystal said quietly. Then she continued. "It's the rarest blood type in Sirens. It's impossible for a regular human to have that blood type. Only people who are Sirens or part Siren can have that blood type, so that cuts the people who could have it by billions. Then only a fraction of those sirens have that blood type. Every full Siren that has that blood type is part of a royal family. Part Sirens that have it are considered a branch of the royal family. These branches can only be continued by females. I won't go into why at the moment because we need to hurry. If Sirens fall unconscious because of loss of blood, the longer they stay unconscious the more likely they won't wake up." she said
"Ok everyone out but Crystal. I don't need any distractions." He said. He pulled out some tools and pushed the other bed right next to the one the Ivy was on. I left the room hoping that everything would be alright.

Crystal
I laid down on the bed and looked over at Ivy's emotionless face. I just hoped that we weren't too late. Carlisle numbed parts of both our arms. He took one of his tools that had two needles and stuck one needle in each of our arms. Then he took the area were the two tubes met in the middle and started pulling this lever that was just on the tube that went to my arm. I saw by blood begin to rise through the tube when it reach the middle Carlisle stopped pulling the lever. Then he switched to the lever in Ivy's tube then pulled it up then he slowly pushed it down. All the blood in my tube began to move over to Ivy's. When the blood reached the bottom he stopped again. He went to the leaver in the middle. He pushed it down and the blood in the tubes went into our bodies. He repeated the process one more time then pulled out the needles. He gave me two Band-Aids. I sat up and put one on Ivy then one on myself.
"We need to move her to a hospital so we can give her more blood. I already stitched the wounds in her chest. But she still needs more blood." Carlisle said.
"You don't need to worry about the blood. Sirens can regenerate blood cells as long as there's a curtain number still in the body." I said smiling. I knew now that Ivy was going to be ok.

I watched as her emotionless face slept. It had been two days since we had come here. Carlisle was checking how many blood cells she had every day. By his calculations, she would have all her blood with in the day. When I talked to Crystal she said that when this happens to a Siren, the Sirens body goes into hibernation so that it has enough energy to quickly regenerate the blood cells. As I watched her sleep I hoped that she would wake up soon. Just then I saw her eyes flutter open. She sat bolt upright clutching her chest. She looked over at me. "Where am I, Seth?" she asked confused
"You're at the Cullen's, they came for a visit luckily. Are you feeling alright?" I asked concerned
"I feel fine. When can I get out of here?"
"I'll go ask Carlisle. I'll be right back." I left the room to go see Carlisle.

Ivy
I looked around my surroundings and saw that I was in Carlisle's office. Just then he came into the room.
"Hello Ivy, nice to see you again." he said
"Hello Carlisle. Sorry it has to be under these terms…again." I said.
"Don't worry about it. It is my job after all. Well anyway, you're free to go. I'll help you downstairs." When we reached downstairs I had almost fallen ten times. I saw my mom and dad waiting for me I ran over and gave them both hugs. Although I didn't see Seth. My dad picked me up.
"Well, we'll be going Carlisle. Thanks for saving her life." He said smiling. I could tell it was forced. I looked at everyone around me. They all looked tense, including my mom. What was going on?
