Chapter 20: Kimimaro of the Sound Five
"A new member?" I ask.
"Yes, I plan on testing him with a gift I'll give him." Lord Orochimaru says. "If he survives that is."
"You're planning on giving him the curse mark." Kidōmaru says.
Lord Orochimaru chuckles. "Yes, I want to find out which is stronger. Him or the four of you combined."
The four of us combined. Does he mean that there a possible chance that there's somebody that could take on all four of us? I cringe in disgust. Does Lord Orochimaru belittle our power? What a joke! Glancing at the others, I notice that they were frowning as well.
Lord Orochimaru seems to notice our frowns as he says. "You shouldn't underestimate him. He'll surprise you at what he can do." He chuckles. "Think of this as a trial of sorts."
I nod. If this new member is so highly praised by Lord Orochimaru then, he is sure to be powerful. I'd better prepare myself for this...test.
"We'll leave tomorrow morning. Ready yourselves, and I'll meet you five-thirty sharp. Dismissed." At that command, we exit his room.
As we walk down to our respective rooms, Kidōmaru asks. "What do you guys think about this new member?"
"We can handle him." Sakon states.
"Are you sure? Lord Orochimaru seems to think highly of him."
"Whatever. I know we're stronger than him."
Kidōmaru only nods. "What's your take, Tayuya?"
"We shouldn't underestimate our opponent." I say.
Sakon snorts.
I give him a glare. "The Sound Four is made up of strong shinobi."
"You got that right."
Ignoring the side comment, I continue. "Which also means that the new member is powerful as well, because he was considered for this position."
"Does that mean that he's powerful than all of us as Lord Orochimaru implied." Jirōbō suddenly speaks. The three of us look at him like he grew another head. He sweatdrops. "Was it something I said?"
"I didn't say anything like that." I say.
Kidōmaru crosses his arms. "But isn't that what you were implying."
"No." I deadpan. "What I'm trying to say is that we shouldn't underestimate him. I didn't say he's stronger than all of us. I'm definitely not gonna lose to some new member." I state.
Sakon smirks. "That's my girl."
I blush slightly then glare at him. "I'm not your girl."
Sakon only grins. "I'm the leader of the Sound Four. And since you're one of its members, I can call you whatever I want."
"Birdshit Bastard." I growl.
Jirōbō then says. "Tayuya, a girl shouldn't-"
"F*ck you." I give him the finger before walking to my room and banging the door hard. From outside, I could hear Kidōmaru laughing and saying things about not to make me mad. Soon their voices could not be heard anymore.
Good. Looking at my bare room, I heave a sigh. Every time we move out, I will always pack up my things. It's not really the hassle of packing that bothers me. It's actually the thing about moving. I don't have a permanent place to stay. Moving to a new home means change. And it seems that there will be a lot of change once we move to another hideout. Not to mention the new member to join the team. I have no idea what to expect. I can only assume that he is powerful. I can only prepare for the upcoming battle.
Walking to my drawer, I empty its feeble contents. It only contains my mother's flute and my father's necklace as well as the scroll from the Shiin clan which I have finished already. My Sound ninja headband was also there.
Taking off my right wristband where a small paper was placed, I take it off and lay it on the table. Placing my important things inside the sealing circle, I seal my mother and father's respective things as well as the scrolls. Grabbing the sealing paper, I put it back on my wrist and cover it with the black wristband. Lastly, I put my headband on the bandages of my hat. It's been a while since I wore this. I don't have a clan, so I don't have a clan symbol. That's why this Sound symbol is the only symbol I have as close to one. That's why I don't want this scratched or destroyed.
Sighing, I take it off the headband and hat as well as the purple rope belt. Shaking off my ninja sandals, I plop down the bed and embrace my only pillow. I close my eyes and drift to peaceful sleep.
~oOoOoOo~
I wake up with a cold sweat. The mark on the back of my neck pulses, indicating that Lord Orochimaru is calling me.
"It's time already." I mumble.
Getting off the bed, I tie the rope-belt around my waist and put on my sandals. Grabbing my hat, I put it on then wrap the bandages around it, so it won't fall of easily. I debate whether or not to wear the headband. But ultimately I decided not to and seal it with my other things.
"There." I say. I then exit the room and head to the cave entrance. As I arrive at the place, there was nobody there. "Am I late?"
"No, you're just early, child." A voice says.
Turning around to face the voice, I see the form of Lord Orochimaru leaning at the side of the cave opening. I couldn't see him clearly as it was still dark, but I could shape some of his features. He had his arms crossed and looked like he was sleeping as his eyes were closed.
"Lord Orochimaru." I say.
Slowly, he opens his eyes. He looks at me with his piercing golden eyes. Something I find scary as it always unnerves me. He didn't say anything. He just stared at me with those eyes. I try to look away, but I couldn't shift mine away from his. It was like my eyes were being held by some powerful force. Fear starts to rise in me. But after a while, Lord Orochimaru closes his eyes. And the fear welling inside me disappears.
I quickly face away when I could. I could feel my skin start to sweat. The fear he sent me was...unnerving. I didn't realize it until now that I was hugging myself, rubbing my arms for comfort. I quickly stop what I was doing and turn around from the cave entrance.
Damn it. How could I let him see this display of weakness?
Glancing back at Lord Orochimaru, I see him eyeing me with such intensity. It was like he was testing me.
Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I turn around to face my Lord and stare back at him. Again, I could feel the fear creeping to my skin, trying to gain control of me. I try to fight it off, but the fear completely consumes me. I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. I'm afraid. I'm afraid of Lord Orochimaru...I'm afraid...I'm afraid of disappointing him. Disappointing him. I don't want to disappoint him. Even though I still have mixed feelings about him, I can't deny his power. His power that I oh so respect and admire. It was power that drew me to him, because I wanted to be like him. To be powerful like him. If this is some kind of test, then I will do what I can to pass.
This fear induced attack is genjutsu, so what I need to do is to disrupt the flow of chakra. I bite my lower lip. As it bleeds, the pain from the wound disrupts the genjutsu. But as it wears off, I could feel it was being recast again. Quickly, I cast a genjutsu of my own. Although not as powerful as when I use my flute, I can still deliver a blow. I counter his genjutsu with a genjutsu of my own.
It goes like that for minutes, and I was starting to break his hold. That was until Lord Orochimaru suddenly smirks and breaks his jutsu, leaving me slightly panting for breath. I look at him incredulously, asking him mentally why he had suddenly stopped. It was then that two members of the Sound Four, Sakon and Kidōmaru, walk out of the cave.
"You're early." Sakon says to me.
I look at the two newcomers, and I sigh inwardly. I see. So that's why. Damn timing. I was so close in breaking free of his genjutsu. I scowl at the two, and they look back at me with confusion.
Whatever.
I turn back to face my Lord to see him smirking.
Damn.
"Only one more to go." He says.
"L- lord Orochimaru." Kidōmaru says surprised.
Said person, pushes himself off the cave wall and steps toward us. "Where is Jirōbō?" He inquires the two boys. His voice was cold as ice.
Sakon gulps. "Maybe he's...eating."
Lord Orochimaru only stares at him. I could see sweat forming on Sakon's skin. His eyes were wide and locked onto the snake Sannin's eyes.
It's fear. He's using the jutsu he used earlier on me. I frown. Why's he testing us all of a sudden? I watch as Lord Orochimaru stops, releasing a panting Sakon from his jutsu. The boys are weak in genjutsu, but strong in taijutsu. Completely the opposite of what I am.
Lord Orochimaru then cast his next genjutsu on Kidōmaru. And like Sakon, he didn't stand a chance. He only stops when footsteps echo at the back of the cave entrance. Jirōbō appears and Lord Orochimaru shakes his head. Jirōbō walks toward us with a mouthful of snacks in his mouth.
"You all still have so much to learn." Lord Orohimaru whispers. He then turns around and walks out of the cave.
I clench my fists at the display of weakness of our team. I have a feeling that the reason he tested us is somehow connected to the new member that will be assigned.
I follow my Lord outside the cave. He jumps to the trees, and I quickly follow behind. Glancing back, I see the boys jumping as well. Sakon and Kidōmaru look shaken up, while Jirōbō looks confused. Looking back at Lord Orochimaru, I touch the back of my neck and wonder how strong Lord Orochimaru is. In my five years of serving him. Well, four of those five years, I spent away from him. And this past year of serving him as his personal shinobi, I haven't yet seen him in action. I don't know his strength. I don't know his weakness. Hmmmn... Actually, I don't know anything at all. My eyes widen. I don't know anything about him. He's a complete stranger to me. All I know is that he's the leader of the Hidden Sound Village. Even his hand is still a mystery to me. Karin had said that his whole right hand up to the half of his lower arm was gone. Although I didn't get to confirm it for myself, I know that Karin wasn't lying. So to say the least, Lord Orochimaru somehow stitched himself a new one. I don't know how, but I know everything's possible for him. He might have experimented on his right arm to make a new hand grow out of it...
...ugh. I shiver. That's just gross.
~oOoOoOo~
Upon arriving at the Northern Hideout, the sun was just beginning to set. The wide sky was painted with warm colors. And the tint of blue and violet were present at the top, signifying that night was approaching. Brilliant stars start to shine, twinkling with every delight.
We stop on our tracks at a large metal-like building. It was surrounded, if not attached to, by large rocky formations. The building was indeed magnificent to behold. It was large as a small mountain, towering over towns and other small villages. It was even larger than Tokomitsu Gate. Just the sight of this building is enough to put people in awe at its magnificence. As we approach the metal structure, a Sound shinobi greets us.
"Welcome back, Lord Orochimaru." He bows before him.
Said person, only chuckles and walks forward. "I trust you have kept the place in order."
"Yes my Lord." He confirms.
"Tell me." Lord Orochimaru eyes the man. "Where is he? I expected that he would be here to see my arrival."
The man looks down. "You see, my Lord..."
"I see. Very well then." He resumes his walking. "Take me to him."
"Y- yes, Lord Orochimaru." The man briskly walks on ahead to the building.
Once inside, he leads us to a series of corridors with bolted metal doors until we reach an unusual door with no locks at all unlike the previous ones. But before Lord Orochimaru goes inside, he instructs the guide to lead the Sound Four to the large room where we will wait for him.
"Yes, Lord Orochimaru." The man bows at him. Lord Orochimaru then opens the door and walks inside, leaving the five of us outside. The sound shinobi then leads us to our destination.
As we walk through the corridors, we passed by other sound shinobi. It felt awkward to see some other ninja walking around the hideout since I'm used to a dead empty one like the hideouts I've been through this past year. I could feel some of ninja we pass by were staring at me, which annoys me to hell.
Damn. Why are they staring? Are they looking down on Lord Orochimaru's elite shinobi? Bastards.
While walking, I see a one guy looking at me with a weird expression. He was grinning at me and also winking at me.
I scowl. Damn it. Why is he looking at me like that? And why is he grinning? Is there something funny about me?
The guy licks his lips, and instantly I feel weird and offended. Damn it. I'm so gonna to kick this shithead's ass. I shift my footing toward the shithead, ready to pummel that annoying expression on his face. But to my surprise and confusion, Sakon punches the guy before I could.
"Whoah." Kidōmaru grins.
The guy falls back, rubbing the pink red spot on his cheek. "What was that for?!" He roars.
Sakon leans down at the guy and whispers something. It was too soft that I couldn't hear, so I concentrate chakra to my ears.
"...like that again, I cut off you dick and shove it up your ass. If you do it again, I'll not only skin you alive, but also slowly let my teammate's spiders eat you. And I'll only laugh at your demise."
The guy's eyes widen and his lips tremble. I could see him sweating in fear. Looking at Sakon, I see him smirking at the guy. What a sadistic bastard. Even though I hate losing, I can say that he wins at being the best sadist of us four. Somehow I pity the guy trembling and...pissing his pants out of fear.
Sakon punches him again before standing up. He looks around the corridor to the people eyeing at the scene. "What are you staring at?" He says coldly. The sound shinobi all turn away, continuing what they were doing before.
As Sakon walks back to our group, Kidōmaru asks. "What was that all about?"
He only shrugs and says. "The guy pissed me off."
"Nice one." I grin. "He was looking at me weirdly which was pissing me off. I was about to kick his ass, but you beat me to it." I then fold my arms. "Did he look at you with a weird expression as well?"
"Um...no." Sakon replies awkwardly.
"Oh, then what did he do to make you so pissed?"
Sakon looks away. He nods at the guide for him to continue. "Let's go to the large room and get this over with."
"Hey." I look at Sakon incredulously then turn to the boys. "What do you think's the matter with him?"
Jirōbō only shrugs, but Kidōmaru raises his brows and says. "Seriously?"
"What?" I ask. "What do you mean, seriously?" Kidōmaru then laughs, and I give him a glare. "What's so funny Spidershit?"
"For a smart ass girl, you're pretty clueless, you know that."
I scowl. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Hey, get your asses over here!" Sakon calls.
"Yeah, yeah." Kidōmaru grins as he walks toward Sakon.
"Hey." I stride to Kidōmaru. "Spidershit, answer the f*cking question!" I growl.
He gives me a smirk. "Tayuya, not only are you the most badass chick I've ever met, but also the smartest chick as well. So I know that you can figure it out." He grins.
I give him a glare once again then sigh. "Whatever. If you shitheads won't tell me then bullshit. I don't care a freaking shit." I fold my arms and walk on, well stomp actually, ahead.
After a lot of twists and turns, we make it to large room. The place was wide and large. From the floor to the ceiling, there was about twenty feet of distance. Doors were lined from the sides under a long elevated walkway. There were openings on the platform with railings attached at the front. There was also a set of stairs connected to it near the room's main entrance. Like Lord Orochimaru's other hideouts, this place was dank, dark and cold. Torches were lit at the sides but weren't enough to uplift the darkness. It was still dim and cold.
The guide leads us up the stairs to the elevated platform where we would wait for Lord Orochimaru. He then leaves us in the large empty room. It wasn't until twenty minutes later that Lord Orochimaru appears at the entrance...with someone behind him.
I narrow my eyes at the person. He has pale skin, vivid green eyes, and two scarlet dots on his forehead. He has and shoulder-length white hair, which was divided down the middle with a zigzag hair pattern. His hair was long which was tied in a loose pony-tail near the middle of his back, and partings on either side of his face with two red tube-like hair ornaments securing it. He wore a light lavender long-sleeved zip-up shirt. Black pants cut off around mid-calf with bandages wrapped around his ankles and traditional shinobi sandals. And the ever present purple rope-like belt tied around his waist.
They stop at the middle of the room. Lord Orochimaru then turns around to face the boy. He says something to him, but I couldn't hear it properly. Concentrating chakra to my ears, I listen on their conversation.
"What is it, Lord Orochimaru. Why are we here?"
Lord Orochimaru smirks. "You tell me, child."
There was a brief pause before the boy replies. "Does it have anything to do with them?"
Hmmmn. It seems he knows we're here.
Lord Orochimaru chuckles slightly. "Partially, but there's something else you must pass first. I know you know what I mean."
"The curse mark, my Lord."
"Yes, you are the ideal vessel for me. Your rare power is one to treasure. Now, I shall bestow you more." Lord Orochimaru puts up a ram hand sign. His neck suddenly elongates and strikes forward at the boy, biting back down at the base of his neck just below the collarbone.
My hand instantly touches the back of my neck. It feels like I was bitten again as I watch the scene below unfold. The boy was kneeling and clutching the area where Lord Orochimaru bit him. He wasn't screaming like what I did. He was only gritting his teeth, trying to hold back the unbearable scream. Lord Orochimaru only looks down at him. It was like he was waiting what would happen, whether he would live or...die as there is only a ten percent chance of surviving the curse mark.
I look at the boy intently, watching his every labored breath. The way he kneels down, closes his eyes tightly, and grits his teeth in pain, it all too reminds me of the burning pain, their screams, and the way I wanted to make everyone suffer for no reason at all.
After a while, the boy slumps to the ground. I close my eyes and let out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding. Seeing Lord Orochimaru giving someone the curse mark brings back memories of the time I was in that same position. The burning pain that I felt was so unbearable that I wanted to die. I felt so betrayed, betrayed by someone I admire. But I learned one thing from that experience. To get what you dream of, you need power. And to get power, you need to sacrifice something in return whether it be your life or the lives of others.
I look down below to see Lord Orochimaru still standing and staring at the unconscious...or maybe dead boy. He wasn't moving or even indicated that he was breathing, although I was far and high above that I couldn't tell. Then after less than ten minutes, the boy suddenly moves. He gets up slowly, but falls down to his knees. Narrowing my eyes, I see markings covering the areas where his body was exposed. He looks at Lord Orochimaru and for split second I was worried he would attack my Lord in his crazed state as the curse mark has full influence on the first transformation. But my worries soon diminished as I remember that Lord Orochimaru can handle himself. He's powerful.
The boy only stares at him. He wasn't attacking or anything, just staying where he is. Then slowly, the marks over his body recedes until it all gathers around the base of his neck.
My lips tug upwards into a smirk. He survived, so that means he's qualified to become one of the Sound Four. Lord Orochimaru will probably let us test him right now. I look at my teammates. Sakon and Kidōmaru were smirking with energy. From the look on their faces, I could tell they were excited to face this guy. Who could blame them, I am too. Not only did he wake up sooner than expected after obtaining the mark just recently, but he also suppressed the influence of the curse mark. It's like he mastered it already. This guy must be powerful than I imagined.
The boy looks at the mark. "The Earths' Curse Mark." He then faces Lord Orochimaru. "With this, I become a part of you, Lord Orochimaru."
"Come see the truth of the world through my eyes, Kimimaro. It all could be ours, yours and mine. Will you come?"
"Yes."
"Excellent, I knew that I could count on you. You're my ideal vessel. That mark is a gift from me. I do hope you like it."
The boy, Kimimaro, slowly stands up and turns toward our direction. He eyes us coldly, and I feel intimidated by his stare, if only a little. "You obey me or die. Which do you prefer?"
I frown. Who does this shithead think he is?
Sakon puts his foot on the railing, smirking at him. "How about...me the one!" He thrusts himself at the boy.
Jirōbō, Kidōmaru, and I quickly react and follow what Sakon did. We jump down the railing, and the battle begins.
Sakon and Jirōbō closes in on the boy called Kimimaro, while Kidōmaru and I stay at a distance. Sakon gives a series of quick punches, but surprisingly he evades every single one. Sakon then backs away and circles him, attacking from behind. The boy only dodges and goes for a counterattack. Sakon evades and grabs the boy's extended hand, twisting and backhanding him on the head. Kimimaro ducks and kicks Sakon in the gut, but what he didn't know was that Sakon has another person in his body as Ukon blocks the attack with his foot and half emerges from his brother, delivering a counterattack.
The fist connects and the boy stumbles back. Jirōbō suddenly appears from behind at his blind spot, maneuvering and locking his arms around his head, pinning him in a tight headlock.
"Suck that trash's chakra dry!" Sakon shouts in glee.
Hmph. That was too easy. Kidōmaru and I haven't even fought him yet. I guess I was wrong. It seems I overestimated him. But I thought that too earlier as Jirōbō suddenly grunts a surprise and lets go of the boy.
My eyes widen as I see multiple white spikes protruding from his skin at his back and arms.
Holy freaking shit! Are those bones!
With lightning fast speed, Kimimaro bends forward, raising his leg in the process. Another sharp bone protrudes from his foot as he kicks Jirōbō. Luckily Jirōbō jumps back at the last moment, but sustained a large gash across his chest.
"I'm not done yet, trash!" Doing a set of hand signs, Jirōbō slams his hand on the ground as he keeps a distance.
"Earth Style Barrier: Earth Dome Prison!" A dome of earth erupts from the ground, consuming Kimimaro.
He tries to dash away from the surrounding earth dome, but stops and evades a series of Kidōmaru's sticky gold boomerangs, halting his escape. The earth dome completely encases him. Jirōbō then places his hands on the dome, stealing Bone Guy's chakra again.
"Ha! Well that was an easy boss fight!" Kidōmaru grins. "Game over!"
But just as the words were uttered, a part of the dome was destroyed, billowing dust and debris in the process. I narrow my eyes to see a cursed mark Kimimaro outside the dome prison. What intrigued me was the drill-like bone encasing his hand up to the lower arm. With sudden speed, he dashes around the dome and strikes Jirōbō. Sakon dashes toward Kimimaro. At the same, Jirōbō quickly puts up a defensive earth wall to block the attack. But instead of stopping, Kimimaro's bone drill pushes through and hits Jirōbō directly at the chest.
"Shit!" Sakon and I both curse as Jirōbō shouts in pain. I quickly take out my flute and play him my genjutsu. Meanwhile activating his curse mark Jirōbō grits his teeth and grabs Kimimaro's arm, sucking the chakra out of him. The bone drill cracks and then breaks. Sakon uses this chance to attack.
"Multiple Legs Barrage!"
But Sakon's blow was stopped as bones from Kimimaro's back as well the arm Jirōbō was holding shoots out. Jirōbō quickly lets go while Sakon tries to get his stuck hand out of the bones before Kimimaro counterattacks. But he didn't need to worry as Boneshit stops. He was now under my genjutsu.
"Is it game over again?" Kidōmaru asks.
"Stop saying that!" Sakon shouts, still trying to get his hand unstuck.
"Stop yelling. It's annoying." Ukon comes out of his brother, taking out a kunai in the process. "Tayuya, keep him in the genjutsu while I finish this." He thrusts his kunai at Kimimaro. But for a second time, bones shoot out again, stabbing Ukon and Sakon. But mostly Ukon takes the blunt of the attack.
"Shit!" I curse loudly. He broke out of my genjutsu. "Kidōmaru!"
"On it." Kidōmaru produces his sticky gold into six throwing weapons.
I place the flute to my mouth and play another genjutsu. This time, more powerful than the one earlier. Kimimaro stops again as my genjutsu hits him. Kidōmaru jumps over and sprays a wide silk of web. But as it lands over Kimimaro as well as Sakon and Ukon, Boneshit yet again breaks from my genjutsu, quickly evading the spray of web.
"Shit!" I curse again. Genjutsu won't work on this guy. Well then... Biting my thumb and activating my curse mark, I make a boar, dog, bird, monkey, and ram hand signs then slam it to the ground. "Summoning jutsu!"
Smoke erupts in front of me as three giant figures appear. Playing my melody of death, I move each Rage Ogre. Slash and Bash at the sides while Kickass at the front. Meanwhile, Kidōmaru throws his sticky gold at Kimimaro. The latter easily evades the projectiles and flips backwards as Bash swings its giant club at his being. Kidōmaru then switches from throwing sticky gold to spitting his web, trying to trap and hinder Kimimaro's movements. But Boneshit was too fast to catch. He dodges every attack Kidōmaru and I make. From my peripheral vision, I see a wounded Jirōbō, making his way towards the trapped twins.
Shit! I curse inwardly as Boneshit yet again dodges mine and Kidōmaru's attacks. The shithead's good at running away like a rat. Damn it.
Kimimaro evades Slash's strike and deflects Kidōmaru's projectiles. He then dashes toward Kidōmaru, but steps back as Bash swings its club at him. I then maneuver Kickass and Slash to take him down at his blind spot. But to my dismay, he evades the attack just at the last second.
"Come on already." Kidōmaru scowls. He dashes back toward me. "Tayuya, his speed, dexterity, evasion, and recover rate are level eight, so I need you to distract him while I degrade his speed with my summoning ability."
I didn't give him a reply as my mouth was busy playing the flute, so what I did was give him a look that says 'Damn Spidershit, I can't speak like a freaking gamer like what you freaking do'.
He folds his arms and says. "We can't hit him. The only way for us to win is to slow him down. Distract him with your Rage Ogres while I'll summon Kyodaigumo and spray him with her little darlings."
I nod in understanding and continue attacking Boneshit.
When Kidōmaru starts running to the elevated platform, one of my Rage Ogre falls down. Large bones were impaled across its torso.
"I've had enough of this foolish game." Kimimaro says sternly. He looks at me coldly in the eye then with lightning fast speed, he dashes toward me. I maneuver Slash and Kickass to hinder his advance, but was too quick and easily breaks through.
Shit.
Bones comes out of his arm. He attacks, but I evade just in time. Jumping backwards, I try to keep my distance, but it was all in vain. He quickly gets past my guard and pierces me with a long bone at my heart. On instinct, I instantly shift my body, so that it hits my left shoulder instead of my heart. I bit back a scream as the sharp bone pierces my skin. The attack was followed up by hard blow to the head. Darkness consumes my vision as my head hammers in pain.
Through the hounding pain, I hear Kidōmaru cursing. Then suddenly pain erupts again as the bone imbedded through my shoulder was yanked off, leaving me screaming in pain.
Opening an eye, I see Boneshit readying a finishing blow. Suddenly, a flash of orange stops the attack. Jirōbō tackles Kimimaro to the ground. Jirōbō quickly backs away as bones shoot a counterattack. Sakon appears from view and helps me up while Kidōmaru shoots web after web at Boneshit. Looking at our opponent, I see him dodge every attack Kidōmaru makes.
"I've had enough of this. This game is getting boring." Kimimaro flicks his wrist. Fast white projectiles shoots out. Sakon ducks down in time, but Kidōmaru and Jirōbō were hit. They howl in pain by the sudden attack. With fast speed, Kimimaro was suddenly upon us striking down both Jirōbō and Kidōmaru. Sakon circles to Kimimaro's blind spot and attacks him, but Kimimaro easily steps aside with grace and smashes Sakon with his bone covered hand in the head. He then knees him in the gut and elbows him at the back complete with a backhand spin at the back of Sakon's head.
Grabbing my flute, I try to get up and fight, but the idea of it was stopped as Boneshit kicks me to the side of my face. Slowly, I try again, but I couldn't get past kneeling and panting for breath. It was hard to even think straight beyond the hounding pain. Looking at my teammates, I see them kneeling and panting as well. Then Kidōmaru and Jirōbō suddenly collapse to the cold floor, unconscious. I glare at the Boneshit bastard. How could we lose?! There were four of us and one of him. How did this happen?!
My glare only deepens as he stares down at us like we were dirt of the earth. "Pathetic. Is that the best you four can do?" There was minute of silence before he resumes talking again. "Now then, I'll ask you once again. Which do you prefer?"
I clench my fists in anger and rage. This bastard f*cker. Damn. Damn. Damn. I look at Sakon, hoping that he has a plan. He looks at me with a tired angry face. He didn't say anything, but I understood. Even though I hate and couldn't accept it, it was the truth and there was no way out of it.
We lost...
