Work is such a pain in my ass, I can't concentrate for writing and the breaks don't last enough to edit a chapter. But I do get to edit so I am making progress! Seven days is a good track record for 3-5k words, so hopefully I can find an update pattern again and do that weekly uploadness. Miss that.

Leon got to settle down on a couch that night.

Night being 7am, though, down here in the facility there was no day or night if you didn't have a clock on hand. A hand was shaking him awake by 11am and he sat up to a phone being handed to him.

"It's Wesker." Tatyana said.

Shaking off half sleep he took the phone and held it to his ear. "Hello?"

He sounded like he had been asleep, it irritated Wesker to know Leon hadn't done it in his bed. Biting back the spike of possessiveness,"Join me in my quarters." Wesker never wasted a word did he? Running a hand through his bangs and beyond, Leon bit back a sigh. "Right down the hall, right? I'll be there soon." Would it kill Wesker to simply come to the people he wanted sometimes? Leon wondered if the older man was secretly a lazy bum.

This was slightly convenient for Leon.

He had been hospitalized for weeks and even told to stay with Theta but Wesker hadn't moved the clothes he had set aside for him. Once he got a nice long stretch in for his day start the blond made off for his paramour's humble abode. The door blipped twice to greet him before he passed through into Wesker's suite. He hadn't even managed so much as a 'hello' toward the man waiting for him in the mini-foyer before arms wrapped around him and pressed his face into the taller man's shoulder. Leon's hands went up instinctively to push Wesker away but they stalled halfway up. He let them rest at the small of other man's back.

Wesker had missed him.

A kiss was placed on the crown of his head before Wesker let him go. "I have something for you before you go." There was a softness to his tone and Leon had to say it was making his day. He followed Wesker deeper into the residence before taking a seat on the couch next to him. Two items lay on the glass surface of the modern styled coffee table. Sharp shades sat next to a small case shaped like an eight. Both were eye wear. Leon picked up the small case and after realizing the small circles on it were screwed on he opened one to see a faux blue-grey iris staring up at him. It even had a pupil toward the middle with a thin slash in the center to match his own pupils. Leon placed the cap back on but didn't tighten it into place. His serpentine eyes traced over the sun glasses on the table. This was a choice.

Like Wesker...

...Or like before.

"You should have something to mask your inhuman nature. Which will it be?" Wesker mused. He knew Leon's choice. The ex-agent had instantly gone for the contacts case though possibly just to know what was inside. Leon opened the case again. Had this been his eye color? He couldn't recall as he thought through the memories he still had. "Thanks." Leon finally said before closing the contact case. He stood up and stepped away from the couch before finding the nearest mirror. Wesker followed Leon around the living space with his eyes. It was to be expected. Leon wanted to be normal. It would take a great deal of coaxing to get the younger man to follow in Wesker's footsteps. Leon was adjusting the lens with several blinks as Wesker came up beside him.

The facade was perfect.

The lenses eclipsed any trace of burgundy.

He looked human... and confident.

Leon turned away from the mirror with a smile to look at Wesker and his intimidating black glasses. "I can't believe you know how to do something nice." A small smile lifted the older man's lips while his brows furrowed. "I must raise your opinion of me." He surprised Leon with a kiss, his hand lacing through sun-kissed locks as he held the back of his lover's head. Again Leon instinctively pulled away but Wesker kept him close and he settled into the intimacy of the moment. Wesker released him after a short time and stepped back. "You really are trying to tell me you'll miss me, I know it." Leon teased. He couldn't imagine it, this softie was under that jawbreaker exterior everyone else saw. A small scowl domineered Wesker's face. "I'm only preparing you for your mission." He denied. He didn't like the way Leon was smirking at him,"Yeah, yeah, sure. Not doing things in a romance movie at all. Alright mister dangerous, whatever you say." The scowl petrified and Leon watched Wesker turn and retreat from him.

Got 'im.

Leon sighed, he never thought he would like Wesker as a person. Actually, he was impressed there was a person in there at all.

Wesker was great at being an asshole.

Looking down, Leon blinked staring at the darkness in his field of vision. The opacity of his contacts made everything blurry. He loved them though. Glancing back at the mirror, he smiled. He was human again. "Y'know, you never moved those clothes you gave me over to Theta." Leon stated as he rejoined Wesker at the couch. He braced himself on the back of it. "I don't intend for you to stay in their dorms." Wesker replied. "I want you to bond with them. Being among them is the best way for that. However... Staying with them means you won't be around. We will never know each other if you are not here so your clothes will make sure I don't have to call you over."

Really?

He was using clean clothing as a bargaining chip?

It was Leon's turn to scowl. "I'm not your dog Wesker, do you even know the difference between a person and a pet?" Wesker glanced at him, tension rising between them. "Can't you be both?" He drawled. Leon bristled, how dare he. Pushing off the couch, the younger man made for the bedroom door. He would change and get the hell out of here. "Come back Leon." The way Wesker said it had him stop, just for a second. No, not a pet. He doesn't own me. Wesker watched his spawn disappear into his bedroom, Leon made for such fine entertainment.

Leon had scarcely removed his shirt before he felt eyes watching him from the doorway. A sour expression was aimed at Wesker. "Don't." The darkly clad man remained at the doorway, shoulder leaned into one side. "Don't?" He goaded. "Just... Don't." Leon reaffirmed. They shared a stare down for a long minute before Wesker disappeared. Both of them slammed into the bed in the next second before bouncing to a stop. Leon's fingers were curled like claws around Wesker's upper arms until he relaxed into the bed. Wesker enjoyed the frantic thunder he could hear in his lover's chest. "You're an awful person." Wesker refused a snort. "I know." He leaned down and tried to snag a kiss to which Leon dodged his advances. "There's no avoiding this..." He grumbled. Pulling his shades off, Wesker tossed them to the night stand.

"No." Leon growled, he didn't want to do this shit. Wesker caught his jaw and brought them into another kiss. Leon didn't participate which lead to the other giving up in the end and they parted. Wesker's next approach was much more effective as he rolled over until Leon was more or less laying on him. His hand glided down the naked expanse of Leon's abs while he messaged the crook of the younger man's neck with small sucks and kisses. His prisoner made to escape as his hand wandered lower than the rim of the jeans covering such a lean succulent body. Wesker's mostly trapped arm slapped firm against Leon's ribs forcing the ex-agent back up against him while he delved deeper to message an inner thigh. Much to Leon's displeasure the groping was getting him into it but he refused to make any moves to further Wesker's efforts. He dug his teeth into his lower lip as the groping hand relocated around his shaft. There wasn't much room in his zipped jeans for a proper hand job but Wesker made it work to the point of his back arching into the other man's groin unintentionally. Leon's hands clasped Wesker's wrists and started prying them away. He just needed to get out of this situation.

His lover was quick to find a sensitive spot along his collar that wilted his resolve allowing Wesker to return to his consistent pumping. The aroused pulse in Leon made the older man smile, he would always have it if he wanted it. The back of Leon's skull ground onto his shoulder as an appreciative hum made it's way out of the blond. Leon was surrendering to the pleasure Wesker was administering. It wouldn't be long before he cummed his jeans if Wesker didn't remove them. The hand that was holding Leon down moved up, tracing muscles until it found its prize. Leon panted out a held breath as Wesker started rolling his nipple. He was grabbing handfuls of the bedsheets now as his hips rolled into his lover's hand.

He was close.

The lips, his chest, that hand.

He was going to lose it.

Tilting his head toward Wesker's temping mouth, Leon gruffly growled, "I hate you." Wesker claimed those hateful lips and they rutted together in a singular passion until Leon shuddered and stiffened. "Ahh..." He moaned into Wesker's mouth. His climax oozed passed the zipper of his jeans, if they hadn't been dirty before they sure were now. Wesker allowed them to lay there for a few moments as Leon collected himself from the shuddering panting mess the older blond had worked him into. Licking his lips, Leon tried again to get up but the hands on him wouldn't give. "Don't you feel better now that you've played? Let me go." He huffed.

Wesker's hands ringed around his waist,"I want more." The elder stated. Leon scowled once again. He tried to sit up and though he couldn't jump off the bed he was making progress. "Let me go. God damn it. Stop. Fuck-fine!" Leon snarled as Wesker made it clear he wasn't getting away. The younger man rolled over, pinning Wesker to the bed between his legs. Intrigued, the older man loosed his hold to see what Leon would do. The younger set to the task of opening his lover's fly then, guiding the slacks off his hips. The boxers beneath were treated the same before Leon gazed up at him. Wesker marveled at the stubborn will behind the contacts until, like an animals leaning down to drink, Leon dropped onto his elbows to lick the erection under him. The pleasurable thrill that followed as Leon took him in his mouth brought Wesker's head back into the sheets. One hand joined the mouth to properly cover the organ while the other had to pin Wesker's hips down. He wasn't going down on the cock as Wesker wanted but he made up for it with the consistent sucks along with his curious tongue. His lover continually tried to take control of the blowjob until Leon sank his teeth into the meat he was sucking on in a threatening manner. The hands grabbing at him backed off and he was allowed to pleasure Wesker as he wanted no matter how novice his attempts were.

In the end the blond under him stiffened and he quickly removed his lips before Wesker grunted his orgasm. Semen spilled up his abdomen and over his dress shirt. Leon laid there for a spell while the other man got comfortable again. He got up and away this time without resistance only to stare in a dead pan at his crotch. Now he needed a shower as well as to change. Leon snatched the clothes he had chosen earlier and glanced at the door to the bathroom. He couldn't here, Wesker would pin him in there, he had to get away to Theta if he wanted some peace.

Wesker didn't stop him as he made his way out. He was practically running down the halls to his living quarters. Leon thanked his own common sense he had kept his pants on, the key card was in them. With a swipe he was in and he stormed passed both his teammates on the way to the bathroom. Tatyana hardly looked up from her packing but Nik turned to watch him disappear into the smallest room of the dorm. Leon looked a mess and his shirt was missing, the marks on his neck spelled it out plain. No wonder Leon hadn't accepted, he was banging their leader. Shoulders slumping, Nik returned to stuffing clothes and the bare bones necessities into his pack.

Leon resurfaced from his shower after nearly half an hour. "Oh, that's new." He didn't understand what Nik had meant at first but the way the man was staring reminded him of Wesker's gifts. "Looks better in my opinion." He said. Sanders hummed, having his own opinion. The door to the dorm opened and shut,"Leon the team is ready to lea...ve- Are you?" Tatyana nearly stopped mid-sentence having noticed Leon's small change. She wouldn't admit it to the blond but it made him look handsome. "Yeah, I don't have anything to pack." Leon frowned, he had the clothes on his back to his name. Having no roots anywhere haunted him. He had nothing. "I've covered you on that." She said. Her motions lead him to her pack and the one next to it. There were two there, weren't there? "Thanks." They each snagged their respective duffel bags and left the dorm. Quintu, Raziq and Logan were in the hall waiting for them. Aside from his duffel bag, Logan was hauling an obscenely large suit case which left Leon to wonder what he had brought with them.

They made the distance to the elevator and after the uncomfortable fit they exchanged one elevator for another on the third floor. It was on the ride up, in the silence of the cabin that Leon truly understood they were leaving the facility. Wesker was trusting him. He really could escape. As the elevator opened on the first floor, he stared out at the faces, not truly seeing them as the sunlight from the exit attracted his attention.

There it was.

Freedom.

Just as soon as he had set his sight upon it walls closed in before him, shrinking the natural light into a thin beam before cutting it off entirely. He looked away, shifting in his spot while his heart raced.

No, not freedom.

The people around him were freedom.

The ride up was a long one, counting the buttons on the panel this place was forty-eight stories. They exited on the top most floor and Leon followed the others out to a helipad. The chopper could fit all six of them but there would be no place for the body sized case Logan possessed. Leon could see another helicopter heading toward them, it wouldn't be more than thirty minutes before it arrived. "Leon." Tatyana shouted over the sound the blades coming to life on the helipad made. "Jump in with Raziq and Quintu. We'll follow in the next chopper." The blond nodded to her. As the chopper got into full swing, Leon hoisted himself into the cabin and slid into the seat across from Quintu. Raziq was in next. He grabbed the headsets on the walls of the choppers interior, handing one to Leon while Quintu leaned over and rolled the door into place. Leon released a sigh of gratitude as he put the headphones on. The chopper was murder on the ears for humans, his keen senses had made it far worse.

"Welcome, welcome boys! We'll have ya to the airport in under thirty so sit back and don't fall asleep." One of the pilots announced through their headsets. Aside from the noise of the chopper everyone was quiet the whole way. They exchanged the helicopters for a slim plane fit for the six passengers it would carry before setting off once again. The plane was an excellent bonding environment and as the hours flew by Leon came to know Tatyana, Logan and Raziq better. Quintu was a much harder case to crack but after many tries and jokes around the cabin Leon figured out "tigrotto" was the word Quintu used to label him. Tatyana explained it to mean 'little tiger' and they assumed the foreign man was playing off Leon's strength as well as being the baby of Theta. The light of day passed with the time and by the time the plane touched down it was firmly night.

They exited the plane in new threads. Tatyana looked the part of a cutting edge business woman while Quintu and Raziq had cleaned up to pass as bodyguards. Logan could have passed for Tatyana's husband if he wasn't walking behind the other two and after a short gap Nik and Leon descended the ramp. Once out of the plane was a good time to dawn a sleek black fedora with white stripe. Nik looked the part in a pine green and black suit. He adjusted his glossy green tie as they headed for their rides. Leon watched half of the team split into one frosty white SUV while he joined Logan and Nik in a red model. The way Raziq had opened the door for Tatyana had sold Leon on the idea of her faux position. Nik finished packing the hulking case in the trunk before hopping in on the passenger side. "Follow Raz, if we trail behind miss gps'll get us there but I'd like to stay close." He instructed. They headed from the airport to a building that brought them into an underground parking garage. With the crowded nature of England, the garage was nearly packed to capacity. Meaning they're team split to find parking, which from Logan and Nikolai's reactions, was a good thing. Neither of the men in the vehicle with Leon moved once they were parked.

"...So." Leon muttered. He could hear Logan moving about in the backseat. Watching from the rear view mirror, Leon noted the large well dressed man had set up his own network and surveillance nest in the back of the SUV. He was going to turn and look more directly at what Logan had going on until Nik casually caught his arm and shook his head. Leon wasn't familiar with what was going on but he knew to go with it. The SUV's windows had heavy tinting on every glass pane save the windshield and though they were parked up against a wall Nik was going to lengths to make it appear they weren't loitering around. A hand came up from the backseat,"You'll need these." Logan drawled. Leon plucked an ear pieces from the older male's palm. Nik did the same before they were put in. "Cap 'n' the boys are in position. Once we have the shot you two are on. Get in, get out, Nikolai'll lead so you just do the heavy lifting kiddo." Logan explained. Leon assumed the heavy lifting would mean the case in the trunk or if anyone got in the way. There was silence throughout the car for a handful of minutes until Logan snapped a short,"Go." Leon stepped out along with his partner before the doors clapped shut. He went to the trunk and lifted the case from it before following Nik to the parking garage's elevator. "Alright Sanders, cross the street. Enter the guildhall. Find the nearest person and ask to join Mrs. Chomiak. If they attempt to guide- tell 'em off. There's a hall to the left, you want that." They both listened to Logan's instructions before the elevator released them and they made their way into a quaint looking building right out of a by-gone era.

Leon had no time to appreciate the lavish interior as Nik guided them to a person, away from said person and into a stairwell. "Specs say you're in some crap-hole down there. Mid-floor on the southern end of the room is a pressure tile. Trigger it. Should be another staircase." They followed Logan's suggestions through the darkness until Nik stepped down on the plate. Part of the wall in front of them slid aside lighting their figures. The shabby surroundings immediately fell away to modern designs as they walked briskly down a corridor. Their surroundings gave off the vibe the facility did making Leon frown. He kept pace with the brunet though despite lugging the large case. After first picking it up he realized the case was hollow making it light but unwieldy. "You two have ten minutes tops. Take the second left." Logan chattered. Leon hoped they wouldn't run into anyone while they were in here. Nik dropped to one knee in front of the door, hand going to a pouch before fishing out a couple lock picking tools. Leon glanced away to their surroundings while his partner worked until they were in.

Leon wasn't sure what the room beyond was for,"Logan there's nothing in here!" He guessed what they wanted wasn't here. "It says C on the map I'm looking at, ballocks, the door at the end of the hall is E get in there!" Logan cursed before redirecting them down the hall. Nik shut the door and jogged to the last door in the bunker. He popped the door open to find a viewing window. The cell beyond was bare. "Logan she isn't here either!" Nik hissed. He closed the door before jogging back to the door across from the one they had first tried. Once Sanders opened it they spied a forgotten large attache case toppled on its side on the left side of the floor. Its contents were spilled on the ground as if someone had been too eager to get away. Nik rushed over and picked the bound fleshy thing from the floor. It honestly looked like a mummified infant. Leon had to wonder what the hell they were after if the remains were their target.

Flipping the case upright, Nikolai sighed in relief. There wasn't much to indicate what the remains were or what they could be used for but he seemed happy to have his hands on this thing. "Got it Logan, D-type 006 acquired." He packed the remains away and stood with the case. "Let's get out of here." Leon nodded and they started on their way out. He was left to wonder what this giant case was for if they had wanted the bulky attaché case Sanders was hauling. "Boys, move, the loop is almost over. Get back to the vehicle and let's go." Logan warned. They picked up the pace to a soft stepped jog. Leon followed the brunet back to ground floor before they abruptly ran into someone. The startled woman apologized before they skirted around her and fled the building. They were across the way and in the elevator in under a minute.

"What did we just steal?" Leon asked, eyes on the black case in Nik's possession. Following Leon's gaze, Nikolai shifted the unassuming case long-ways. "Logan knows more. Mostly something for Wesker's research. I think it's mind control, if you can believe that." He explained though his tone was skeptical. Leon was in agreement on the subject, mind control, it couldn't be real. When the elevator let them out they made the jaunt to the car, Leon loading the case while Nikolai passed off his prize to their partner in the backseat. They were both in the car immediately after and on the way out of the garage. "I set your little navi up there to get us back to the plane. Good job boys I knew ya wouldn't throw a spanner in the works." Logan snorted from the back. Leon smiled, taking them back onto ground level and into the busy streets. "Thanks for the vote of confidence Logan." They were moving farther from the crowds when a white twin of their vehicle changed lanes to come up behind them.

"Looks like they didn't have any trouble either. Damn I love easy missions!" Sanders stated with glee. "Don't go celebratin' yet boy, we been snookered thrice over before from letting our guards down when things go well." The large man reminded him. They weren't out of here, things could still go wrong. The drive there didn't and they boarded the plane easily. Everyone sat back in their seats once the metal bird had leveled out in the sky. "Too easy." Nik stated again. Raziq and Logan agreed. "That bunker was totally abandoned. Either someone beat us to the full bounty or the company knew we were gonna be there and booked it." He mumbled. Leon agreed with the idea having been down there with the man. The doors had been locked but other than the one toppled attaché and some chairs there had been nothing. "Let's just enjoy the good side gentlemen, we got something we needed and it didn't cost us a thing for it." Tatyana told them pulling them away from how the company's presence during their mission was so scarce.

That was others' jobs and as long as this plane wasn't shot down they were golden. The others talked among themselves as the eleven hour trip back ensued. Leon participated here and there but he was fighting an approaching headache. The pain ramped up and he eventually exited their conversation for a quieter place at the very back of the plane. He stood leaned up against a wall listening to the constant hum of the engines. Everything hurt now, not just his skull and he was finding it hard under the cool blue of the lighting in the smaller space. He was pressing his crossed arms harder into his abs when a hand wrapped over his shoulder. Leon opened his eyes and looked back, Nikolai was there and the others had stopped talking to see to him as well.

The shiny sheen of sweat on Leon's face concerned Nik. Shoving the curtain between the seats and the small compartment Leon was secluding himself to made the blond flinch, Nik soothed his shoulder. "Sorry. Are you alright?" Sanders asked quietly. "Not really." Leon admitted. He glanced around the small concession counter. "Think there's anything for a migraine here?" Nik moved over to rifle around a bit. Leon shuddered in his place while the small noises tortured his sharpened hearing.

"What do you think is wrong?"

"It's strange, he fell off the boat all of a sudden."

"Do you think we have to worry about him like this during the next mission?"

He could hear the others up front mumbling about him. He hadn't done a very good job of looking alright he supposed. "No, mostly just food. And a first aid kit." Nik finally stated, bringing Leon's attention back on him. The brunet placed his hand on Leon's upper arm, "You should go sit." He murmured. Leon stared into the other man's worried green eyes. It was a good idea, he wasn't feeling well but he had escaped the front cabin to find some quiet. Pushing himself off the wall he turned around, things would be better if he was seated. His teammate guided him back to the seat next to his own and watched Leon plop back down. He took his seat and they all sat in silence.

Leon thought it extremely strange, they had all been rackety only a few moments ago. The cheer of the mood was gone and now they were all looking at anything other than the blond man. It was bearable for a time until Leon let out an audible sound of pain. His skull felt ready to split as if something was beating its way out. His whole skeleton felt the pain and no amount of fidgeting would help him. Nik was looking at him, an anxious glint in his eyes. The whole team seemed to be on edge at his pain. Suddenly his insides stung, Leon doubled over gasping at the new layer of agony. Hands framed his shoulders but he barely felt them, everything hurt. His head was swimming, not enough air.

Everything was dark.

Nik pulled the curled up figure into his lap bidding Leon find a laying position. The blond opened his eyes and stared up at the face looming over him. Nik didn't like the way those pretty blue eyes rolled around before trying to focus back on his face. Leon could make out that the other's lips were moving but other than the chug of his own blood sloshing through him he couldn't tell what Nikolai was telling him. In reality Nik wasn't saying anything, their savior had requested silence and so they had sat there, stewing over the way their better was declining rapidly. The brunet was down to mouthing, 'Stay with me Leon.' over and over. Leon stayed awake through the seven layers of hell he was going through for over an hour. The way Nikolai's mouth moved keeping him grounded until his eyes finally rolled off and he passed out.

Nik looked up at his captain, a stressed look on his face. She looked no better, everyone wanted this flight over now. Two hours later it was, which, hadn't felt soon enough by Theta's opinions. Quintu was out of the plane first carrying his unconscious teammate in his arms. A black sedan was waiting nearby and Wesker was standing in front of it. The foreign man surged toward the imposing figure. Wesker laid eyes on the prone shape of Leon in his subordinate's arms. He was limp and cold, a sense of death emanated from Leon's still figure. A tickle of concern was torturing the older man. He accepted Leon from the other man and they ducked into the car.

Oh hi cliff, don't mind me while I hang around.
