Invasion Of Tenrou Island

Cana and Lucy stepped out of the cave into a clearing where the other members of the exams had settled.

"I'm so glad you made it, my love! We passed too!" Loke exclaimed and jumped in the air towards Lucy with his arms flung outward. Lucy stepped aside and Loke collided heavily with the ground.

"So who else passed?" Cana asked Gray who already started to strip.

"Well Loke and I, of course. Also Levy and Gajeel, Elfman and Ever, and Natsu and Happy. Juvia and
Lisanna haven't returned yet though."

"Aww poor Wendy, she must be heartbroken." Lucy said sadly and scanned the clearing for her.

Loke walked up to Lucy and wrapped a hand around her waist "Don't worry we didn't beat them too bad."

"How horrible! What did you do to her and get your hand off me!" Lucy pounded Loke back into the ground.

"We didn't do anything, we defeated her without any physical contact!" Loke yelled as he was being beat into a pulp by Lucy's fists.

Lucy got up and smiled "Oh, why didn't you say that earlier."

Gray leaned towards Cana and whispered "Lucy is starting to scare me as much as Erza."

"That trial was bull!" Gajeel started to complain loudly to Levy.

"Stop complaining, getting the quiet path was a blessing!" Levy shot back at him.

"What was all that training for then shrimp?" Gajeel asked
"I told you not to call me that!" Levy hit Gajeel across the head

Lucy sneaked up behind them and smiled mischievously "Lover's quarrel you two?"

Gajeel blushed "S-shut up bunny girl!"

"W-we are not lovers, Lucy!"

"Awww you guys are so cute! Like an old married couple!" Lucy teased the couple even more as the last team came into the clearing. Erza was leading them with a triumphant smile on her face and behind her were Juvia and Lisanna who looked defeated and very, very wet.

"Lucy can you cheer up Natsu?" Happy poked at Lucy's leg and she looked down. "Oh yeah! Now that you mention it I haven't heard Natsu in a while." Lucy glanced over at the dragon slayer who was solemnly looking at the ground.

"What happened?" Lucy asked Happy.

Happy flew to her ear and started to whisper "Well it started like this…"

Flashback

"Hell yeah, let's get going Happy!" Natsu yelled and the exceed grew wings and carried them towards the island, behind Lucy and Cana.

They landed on the shore of the island in front of the 8 paths. There were numbers assigned to each of the caves and Natsu ran towards path E. Happy asked why they were going down this path and Natsu smiled "I'm sure Erza is down here, E for Erza."

Happy sighed 'Of course Natsu would think like that.'

They walked down the path until they arrived at a large cavern and standing in the middle was not Erza, but Gildarts. As soon as Happy saw Gildarts his eyes widened and he retrieved a pen and paper from his backpack and started to write a letter while crying 'Goodbye cruel world, I lived a short and happy life. "Haha come on Happy stop moping around, this is even better. If I beat Gildarts I'll be the strongest in Fairy Tail!" Natsu burst into flames and ran at Gildarts. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu tried to punch Gildarts but instead Natsu instantly burst into pieces.

"Oh no, Natsu's was destroyed!" Happy started to cry as he watched the short battle. But amazingly when dust cleared and instead of a corpse there were hundreds of mine Natsu's. "What!"

All of the Mini-Natsus started to run towards Gildarts who looked shocked but smiled too "This is the first time someone has battled me like this, you've got guts kid!"

Gildarts removed his cloak as the Natsus attacked and simply swept them away with it, but there were still a lot more to deal with. "It's annoying to battle all of you!" Gildarts exclaimed as he batted away all the Natsus. Gildarts held out his hand "Assemble!" In a puff of smoke Natsu was whole once again.

"Haha got you Old Man, take this!" Natsu held both of his hands out and spun "Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!" Huge spiral of flames rushed at Gildarts 'This is a powerful attack, Natsu has really grown.' Gildarts noted as the flames collided and exploded.

A huge dust cloud cloaked the battlefield and Natsu started to cheer "I won, I'm the strongest!"

Natsu's cheers died down as an unscathed Gildarts appeared. "W-what, that was one of my strongest attacks! DAMMIT!" Natsu ran to Gildarts and was going to throw a punch but an inch away from his face he collapsed.

"A-am I really that weak!" Natsu started to tear up and sobs racked through his body "I admit defeat." Natsu started to cry and his tears wet the ground. "You're not weak Natsu, you actually pushed me back two steps which is really impressive…but the most amazing thing you did in this battle is you stopped."

"Natsu you pass because you've learned something great in this battle, fear isn't a weakness. Knowing your fear not only makes you stronger but kinder and those characteristics are what it takes to be an s-class wizard. Now go and advance, become stronger, defeat me, and become the best but before you do that you must become an s-class wizard!"

End

After Happy finished her story, Lucy gazed at Natsu with a feeling she hadn't felt for him in a while. 'Oh poor Natsu, maybe I should go over to help him." Lucy was about to walk over to him but Makarov's yell interrupted her.

"Listen up everyone! All the teams that have passed are here so let's start the second trial. It is pretty simple, find the first master's, Mavis's, grave which is hidden somewhere on this island. You have 6 hours so be quick!"

"On you marks, get set, GO!"

All the teams met up again and dashed in a random direction. Cana ran up to Lucy and dragged her off into the forest. "B-but Natsu." Lucy whispered as Cana pulled her.

"Did you say something Lucy?"

"No, let's go."

They ran for a while and eventually slowed down as soon as they were far away from the other teams. "So where do you think Mavis's grave is?" Cana asked and both of them brainstormed for a few minutes.

"Ughhh this is so complicated!" Cana groaned and punched a tree. "I need a drink…."

Suddenly Lucy stood up and narrowed her eyes, "What's up Lucy, do you know where it is?"

"No, but I just felt a huge malevolent magic somewhere, we have to hurry." Lucy started to run through the forest and Cana ran after her. 'This is bad; whoever this is has a lot of strength.' Lucy though as she ran towards the source. Before she could reach her destination though, a huge green monster with long, sharp claws and teeth, a huge tail, and leathery skin rose out of the ground and roared at the two girls. "Move out of my way!" Lucy yelled and jumped up to the monster's face. Lucy's fist started to shine and she slammed her fist into its ugly face. It collapsed on the ground and Lucy landed on its stomach. "Come on Cana, we're almost there!"

Lucy started to run again and soon they emerged into a clearing with lush grass and large trees circling it. In the clearing there were three people, Elfman, Evergreen, and a man dressed in a black cloak and had ruby red eyes.

'His magic aura is suffocating and it keeps getting stronger, I definitely can't beat him.' Lucy noted. She stopped Cana and crept back into the forest with her and told her to be quiet. They watched for a few minutes until the man dressed in black scowled and started to radiate with dark aura. "Cana stay here!"

Lucy ran into the clearing and jumped high in the air, she aimed her heel at the man's head as he released his dark power. 'Oh no, Ever and Elfman are going to get hurt, maybe even die! Someone please save them!' Thankfully Lucy's wishes were answered.

Natsu burst out of the forest and tackled Ever and Elfman to the ground. Lucy smiled and kicked out with all her power at the man. The man easily blocked her with his hand and Lucy pushed of it and flipped away from him.

"Cana get Ever and Elfman to safety" Lucy yelled to her and glanced at Natsu who was instructing Happy to help Cana. "I hate to say it, but you came just in time."

Cana and Happy emerged from the forest and dragged Elfman and Ever away. Lucy and Natsu turned to face the man and were shocked to see him crying. "N-Natsu and Lucy! Please kill me!"

"Gladly, you creep!" Lucy rushed at the man and tried to slam her leg into the man's face but was stopped by an unseen force. Lucy grunted in pain and collapsed on the ground "What the hell was that!"

'Zeref! Zeref! Zeref!' Asura chanted in her head and Lucy's eyes widened 'That's Zeref, the embodiment of evil and chaos.'

Zeref knelt down next to Lucy and looked deep into her eyes "One of my demons are inside of you, unfortunately I can't be killed by one of my creations." Zeref held his hand out near Lucy's chest and a black magic rune appeared. "Come out Asura!"

Lucy screamed in pain as Asura was slowly being extracted from her body. "What are you doing to Lucy, bastard!"

Natsu ran towards Zeref "Fire Dragon's Crushing Fang!" Natsu swiped at Zeref with Fire but he just sighed "You have to try harder than that." Out of the ground a large black spike appeared and pierced Natsu in the chest.

"N-Natsu!" Lucy gasped out and reached for him.

"Lucy." Natsu groaned as black magic pulsed through him. Natsu's scarf gradually started to turn black and he collapsed onto his knee. Asura rose from Lucy's body as he had looked when Lucy made the agreement with him.

"It feels good being in a body again, thank you Zeref-sama." Asura kneeled next to Zeref with his head down. He rose next to Zeref and looked at the two mages, "Guess they weren't strong enough Zeref-sama."

Zeref started numbly into the distance "Yeah, let's go Asura."

They started to walk into the trees leaving the two Fairy Tail mages behind for dead.

"Fairy Queen's Final; Resonance!" Two huge blindingly white waves of magic came at the two demons from both directions. Once the two beams collided with each other an explosion occurred that knocked down a portion of the forest.

Zeref and Asura were protected by a black sphere of magic that was partially cracked. "Who is it this time!" Asura growled and searched for the source of the attack.

"HEY ASSHOLES!" The demons turned to a voice that was above them. "Yeah you two!" In the sky on a golden platform was two mages, Lucy and Natsu!

"We are Fairy Tail wizards and we won't be taken down so easily. How dare you guys interrupt this event on our sacred ground!" Lucy pointed at them.

"Yeah, I'm all fired up and ready to defeat you both!" Natsu yelled and cloaked himself in flames.

"Idiot don't do that here! This platform isn't that big!" Lucy hit Natsu on the head.

"Hey that hurt Lucy, it's not my fault you don't have enough magic power to make something bigger!"

"Are you calling me weak!"

"I'm just saying that this isn't very impressive."

"Shut up idiot!"

"Whatever Luigi!"

"Don't call me that!"

Natsu and Lucy continued to argue with each other over stupid things.

Zeref and Asura sighed and looked at each other "Should we just leave?"

"Hold it right there bastards!" Natsu yelled and he and Lucy jumped off the platform "Time for round 2!"

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

"Heavenly Bomb Barrage!"

Gajeel and Levy

"Oi Shrimp, have you figured it out yet?" Gajeel asked his bookworm girlfriend.

"I told you not to call me that Gajeel." Levy said with a bit of annoyance.

The two of them were stranded in the middle of the forest and the only reason why they were lost was because of Gajeel.

Suddenly they heard a boom and Gajeel put his arm out protectively in front of Levy. "Stay here shrimp; I'm going to go check to see that happened."

Levy pushed Gajeel's arm out of the way and looked up defiantly "No, I'm coming with you."

"Don't be stupid, it might be dangerous."

"That's why I'm going!"

"I'm going to protect you no matter what Levy, now stay here!" Gajeel snapped at her.

"Gajeel you idiot!" Levy slapped Gajeel in the face while tears streamed down her cheeks "I want to fight together, I want to be together, can't you see that Gajeel!" Levy ran away and Gajeel followed her. After a while Levy seemed to have disappeared and Gajeel searched the area.

"Levy where are you?" Gajeel asked multiple times but go no answer. He was about to take more drastic measures but before he could he heard a blast and a girl scream in pain. His head jerked to the direction the sound came from and ran towards it at top speed 'If anything has hurt me Levy, I'll slaughter it!'

He finally arrived and was shocked at the scene he found. Levy was on the ground, blood was leaking from a wound on her side, and two strange men stood over her smirking. One of them in samurai armor stepped forwards "Don't mess with Grimoire Heart, stupid fairy!"

Something snapped inside Gajeel "LEVY!" He roared and stepped forwards "I'LL DESTROY YOU BOTH!"
