Bella's POV
Arriving at yet another day of Forks high school is seriously depressing. I can not for the love of god figure out why the Cullens decide to repeat high school every few years. It's hell plain and simple. Nobody wants to go through once never mind a hundred times I get the immortal and wanting to fit in thing but they could pass for being older why put yourself in the environment with your prey on a daily bases where one slip up and you have to kill the entire student body to keep the fact you're a vampire safe. I just don't get it. Collage I can understand but not high school especially when you don't talk to anyone or do any clubs. Oh god. Will I have to repeat high school now I'm stuck at this age. A quick glance at my pack sibling's sees them all smirking as we wait by our cars for the Cullens to arrive. No doubt finding my thoughts amusing. Stupid brain. Mind channel thing.
"If you hate us listening to your thoughts so much stop projecting them" Barry say annoyed sending me a glare before turning away. Jeez someone woke up on the wrong side of their coffin today. Again I sent this over the link earning a smile and a few chuckles from my pack and an even colder glare from Barry. Seriously what is wrong with him today.
"Knock it off you to." Carly say's shutting down any potential fight or argument this might have developed into. I look down sheepishly knowing I was winding him up. I always thought disappointing my parents would be the worst feeling but disappointing your Alpha is so much worse.
"Sorry Carl." Barry says out loud looking at her. "It's just." he pauses as if trying to figure what to say next. "I don't something about today doesn't feel right." His comment make all sixteen of us straighten up.
"You feel it to." Kane says as everyone heads swings into her direction. "I didn't say anything because it's not a death or danger feeling but something is coming if that makes sense." she tries to explain feeling they unsure about what to say and Carly's questioning gaze. A banshee feeling something and not telling the pack about it before now isn't good. Matt pulls her closer giving her comfort and Carly tuns her gaze to the sky letting out a deep breath.
"Let's just make it through the day without anything major happening please." Carly asks sounding tired and defeated. The threat of the Alpha pack is affecting her worst then I thought. She never talks about the time she first encountered them but every time she hints at it, she always sounds terrified. It's the only time other than when her family in mentioned or one of our own dies that she loses her composer. A quick nod from the pack moves into small discussions as we wait.
A few more minutes past before the sound of expensive are alerts us to the arrival of our favourite vampire family. Pulling up next to us the eight vampires quickly join in to our discussion. The other students watching shockingly as the Cullens interact with people and at the size of our group. Not that I can blame them the pack and the coven probably make up half of our year group if not more. Rose makes her way straight over to me and kisses me in front of everyone earning a few shocked gasps from the other students. Uncaring of their response I quickly react to the kiss kissing her back. It's no where near long enough for either of us but we want to keep PG around other students. For now, at least.
"You look beautiful today." I tell my one true love which in return earns me a small smile. Success. "Then again you always do." I whisper before reclaiming her lips on to mine before pulling away I take hold of her hand not wanting to be without contact from my goddess.
"Good morning to you too." she says quietly not wanting to disrupt the moment. In all fairness i could have stayed this content with her for ever and not even notice. However a conversation from across the drive tears my attention away from my mate and I can feel the dread building up in each of my pack members as we eavesdrop. The Cullens notice our sudden change of emotions and try to listen for what we've heard but from the confused looks they are sharing it's clear they have no idea what we can hear.
"So my mom said we have some new students today. Jessica gossips across the drive.
"Who do you think they are." Ben asks looking in our direction.
"They are the cousins of the new kids." Jessica says sounding so proud of herself for knowing all these facts. "They are all adopted to."
"How come when ever we see and adopted family, they are all highly attractive. It doesn't make sense." Eric claims frustrated. "Some of us would like to date people to but we can't if your drawing even one's attention."
"Yeah but they's also another new kid starting today." Jessica admits and this is the part which set us on edge. "My mother said that he just moved on to the outskirts of town with has dad uncle and two aunts. She said his name was Blaz. What kind of name is that." she jokes and her friends laugh as we freeze and panic. Blaz. A kid our age with the same name as the Alpha packs alpha's son. With the same amount of family as the pack. Fuck.
"This can't be right." Eric say's grimly but is proven wrong when a motorbike roll's up next to us and the scent of werewolf is clear in the air. A growl or snarl erupts from each member of the pack as the teen in question takes of his helmet and flashes us his red eyes. He's looks around the same size as Matt and is as lean as him as too. His dark skin resembles his mother's from what Carly described. He also has short black hair that looks like a carpet on the top of his head. Before making his way over to our spot. As he takes his first step the link is opened as almost everyone starts screaming swearing and begging to attack this punk before any harm can be brought to our family.
"Enough." Carly roars in our heads. "if we attack him now then our siblings are as good as dead. Let's see what he has to say. Control yourselves." the rage is still present within us but as it's an order from our Alpha it simmers down a little bit. I can feel Rose grip on my hand tighten giving me some comfort and calming me down some more. When Blaz is a few feet away Jackson Caitlin and Sara move away from him closer to us with Carly Matt and Hannah moving out to meet him as Carly's the Alpha Matt's the second in command with Hannah being the third. Ben grows tenser as his imprint moves towards the danger and Kane looks nervous but understanding. A silence seems to have covered the car park as all the other students have stopped talking to watch the scene unfolds.
Blaz stops and moves his arms in a surrendering motion which doesn't change any of our stances. "I mean your pack no harm" He states calmly which make us all shoot him a look filled with hate.
"Right." Carly starts incredulously "and you aren't holding our sibling hostage if they are even still alive and you didn't just carve a war declare in to a tree and covered it in their blood. Yeah that all tells us that you mean no harm." she finishes her little speech with a smile before dropping it into a frown the Cullens now join us in the defences stance as they realise just who they are in the presence of. "Why are you really here." Her tone is now dangerous which makes Blaz take a few steps back.
"I am not a part of whatever my pack is doing. I never have been. I'm with them because they're my family. That doesn't mean I am like them. You should know Carly." he replies which seems to set something off within Carly because faster than Blaz can react she slams him to Barry's very expensive car.
"I don't care about you saying you're not a part of it you're still allowing it to happen which makes you just as bad as them." the press on his neck increases as her voice drops to a whisper sending shivers up our spines. "And a word of advice. Never compare me to you because unlike you I got as far away as possible from my family when I was a child because they are sick monster. You stick with them. If you really hated what they do you would have left already. So don't come here and act like an innocent bystander because I will rip out your throat and send you back your pack in pierces. The same thing will happen if one of my siblings die at your packs hands." I don't have to see her eyes to know that they are shinning bright red. And she did say we can't kill him due to fear of his pack retaliating but she said nothing about threatening him. When she's done talking she takes a step back before sending him a sweet smile and saying "Welcome to Forks high." She then turns away and makes her way to the school building. We quickly follow suit sending a glare and growl in warning as we pass Blaz. I guess Barry and Kane were right about something happening today.
