Rachni Communiqué: Queen Says "Trust in Shepard"

CITADEL – Late last night, ANN news correspondents on the Citadel received a video message from what appears to be an ambassador to the enigmatic rachni. The asari liaison claimed to have a message for the galactic community "directly from the Queen herself". Immediately, she went into a sort of trance and spoke with a voice clearly not her own. According to our experts on alien communication, this was a legitimate message from the rachni and not a fabrication. This was her message:
"We send our peaceful greetings to all members of the galaxy. Let not ancient hatreds color my voice with sour notes, for we only seek peace and survival just as all who spin life do. May your ears willing to hear our song – our testimony.
"We have contacted you because our friendly messenger has relayed a disturbing reality. That is, many have begun to sing of the Shepard with red and grey notes, sowing disharmony and resentment towards he who freed us from the grim harvesters. All of this because he chose a brood-mate among the shelled exiled ones – those that cover their face and sing the blue notes of regret and sorrow. We understand those notes well, and can empathize with those expelled from their Walled Garden, for our own race was almost exterminated once upon a time.
"After meeting the one called Tali along with Shepard, it is clear that they sing with perfect harmony. Their song is a beautiful melody of bright violet and pink, overpowering the gloom of the sour yellow that vibrates in the Low Places. We have not heard a song like it in centuries, as if hope itself is made manifest by their bond. It would be foolish to end this song, no matter how unconventional the instruments.
"We have put our trust in Shepard, as he twice saved our people from extinction. He freed us from the influence of the grim harvesters and enabled us to guide our children along a path of peace. We must sing in unison in order to banish the sour yellow notes from the galaxy. Trust in Shepard, as he will lead our chorus to victory."
