Well, I decided to do another one since I'm in the mood and plus I really want to finish this fic since I'm actually dragging it out.

Chapter 21. Letting Go

Amaterasu sat from her room looking into the mirror and was really worried that things were progressing worse than before. If all else were to happen it would be a catastrophe on the world and to top it all off it was going against her plans.

Kagome needed to stay with Sesshoumaru and no one else not even a substitute to his power because it is only him that has the will to keep her living and calm but due to the trauma Kagome sustained even the Kami's would need to intervene.

She would of course be glad to do so and she will with the help of Natsu even though he was mute he really saw Kagome as his daughter and also she was worried about the particular twins that were spending too much time in their rooms.

They even begun to retreat but the only way to help Kagome move on is to confront her with all the memories at once and let her fully vent it out of her system. That process would be an overnight one and thankfully the room Kagome ended up staying in was one that was soundproof so no one would notice anything at all.

She had called Natsu and told him what must be done and of course he did hesitate because he didn't want to see Kagome suffer but if it meant that she would be herself again then so be it. He prepared the room and told Kagome that she would stay there overnight till late afternoon and that he would be in there with her. Natsu also told her that it would a reflection of sorts for her and to see if she can get over everything and move on in order to survive.

Amaterasu stayed hidden in the shadows of the room in order to watch the procedure and would only intervene when Kagome was at her peak in order to make sure she doesn't stray. She knows that it could make or break Kagome but it had to done because she was too valuable to let her die.

Kagome was given a Kami sleeping drought which took effect quickly and ended passing out on her feet so Natsu caught her and put her in bed without covering her at all. Only then will the torture of sorts commence and Natsu's control and even hearing since there will be screaming and who knows what else. Amaterasu gave Natsu a necklace that will protect him from everything that tried to attack him since Kagome's powers will be out in the open and flowing out in waves. They both knew it would be a long night but hopefully with a good outcome.

~Kagome's Memories and Flashbacks~

She was running in the forest as fast as she could but with her tripping and crashing against everything in her path didn't make it any easier to outrun the hanyou of the man she thought she loved. She already had bruises from the beating she received but she didn't want to be touched again.

Every time Inuyasha beat her for any comment it would then commence to him raping her and not once did she enjoy it but hopefully if she got knocked out she wouldn't need to feel or suffer while he had her in his grasps.

As Kagome ran head first in the tree and everything went black she wouldn't feel anything except how her heart wanted to give out on her and by the time she would wake up she would be all depressed once again to know she had conceived.

Not once would she tell anyone what was going on since they would think she deserve it so all she could do was bear the pain and suffering to continue walking. She did not know how much she could hold on but sooner or later she will find a way to leave.

"Bitch, why the fuck did you leave my side without permission huh. For that you will pay at night and don't you dare even try to leave again. Or else so help me that I don't kill you!" Inuyasha said while holding her by the throat against a boulder and all Kagome could do was stare and apologize.

Later on in the night he took her out on a supposed walk and started to slap her and punch her and there really was nothing she could have done because he was stronger than her. Yet she prayed that someone would make it stop but no one ever came and or even intervened leaving her to take the brunt of it all.

She screamed with all her might as he raped her and continued to dig the claws on her side making her bleed. All Kagome wanted to do was die but she wanted to live for her children but every day it was just so hard to even think about living.

Kagome didn't know what she had done to Inuyasha and in reality there would be no point in trying to think about it because she lost the will to fight back and all she could do was be submissive in order to get a less brutal beating and some days Inuyasha would actually no bother to even touch her and that meant some peace even if short term.

Kikyo had been spending time near her in order to help her heal and even check her pregnancy and also educate her on some the ways of all youkai and miko also made sure to teach her the miko powers. Kagome was a really fast learner and Kikyo was proud that there still was a spark left in her but even she worried about how long that would be.

At that point in time after the last pregnancy Inuyasha seemed to back off and always be out with Sango and Miroku and to Kagome's relief it meant the perfect time to find a way to escape. Shippo at some point had left to go and train with other kitsunes and Kirara had taken off to who knows where and wasn't seen again.

Naraku was dead and only Kagome knew that Kikyo was really alive but had disappeared and not heard of but she knew she was fine and still alive. She of course didn't tell anyone not even Kaede even though she deserved to know but it would be better for no one to know where she really was.

Once she finished all her training with herbs and many other skills she acquired from she packed her bags in the middle of the night and took off and not once did she look back. She traveled so far and her feet hurt so much but in her mind the farther she got the safer she would be. Looking around for a village that not many knew about and kept themselves hidden would be the key to her protection and survival and she found it without any help.

Upon arriving she had collapsed and the villagers took her and cared for her and once she awoke she offered her services not once did anyone ask since by looking at her meant that she would clam up and not talk.

Kagome had looked so happy working there and nobody wanted to see her sad but years passed and she kept to herself and no one knew why all they knew was that she missed someone. They knew that Kagome was somehow keeping herself on medication for what purpose they knew not as long as she was still the healer to their village. At some point she had left with a youkai with a small explanation as to why and they were really sad to see her go. But she was welcome back anytime regardless of who she really was in the inside.

She found herself surrounded by kitsunes and she was happy and even around Sesshoumaru and for once she felt safe and secure but with the way Sesshoumaru snapped at her made her feel lonely since he wouldn't even acknowledge and she felt worthless and used once again.

All Kagome wanted was to make him happy but with how things were going nothing seemed to go wrong and the nightmares were the worst keeping her up at night while she spent her night in complete darkness.

~End Flashbacks and Memories~

Natsu and Amaterasu were shocked to say the least, all the memories and flashbacks were so real to them and they felt so helpless to even try to help. The screams were deafening and Natsu had a severe headache but he had to hold on just a little longer.

The trip down Kagome's memory was a long one and it was already late midnight and now the process to heal would begin now. Kagome had resorted to start crying and bawling fetal position and that alone broke Natsu's heart so he went to her and picked her up and started to rub her back and cradle her.

Kagome kept crying and Amaterasu started to break down her memories and sort of shut them in boxes and seal them with Kami power so that Kagome would never have to deal with them again. Since what's in the past is the past and for her it meant the same regardless of her power and status in the feudal era.

Natsu started rocking with Kagome on his arms and lap and that soon started to soothe her and even pass out from exhaustion and by the time Amaterasu was done boxing up her painful memories Kagome was sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face. The worst was over and all that would need to be done is sort of reconcile Sesshoumaru with Kagome and even the twins because they were complete hostile towards him.

Oh my when will the tension end I can't take it.
