A/N: Good morning dear readers! I ju st thought I'd let you know that I woke up to your lovely reviews an hour ago, and you've inspired me yet again! I FINALLY know exactly how I'm going to end this story, and I'm not just settling for an easy route to get it done either, I know EXACTLY what I want to happen, and I have you amazing people to thank for it! Thank you all so much for your sweet reviews, and I know I say this every time, but this time I really mean it;
you are LITERALLY the only reason this story is surviving, you've made me realize that this story is actually something I've put my heart into writing (corny right?!) , and something you all enjoy reading, and it deserves a proper ending, so that's what it'a getting, all thanks to you guys! This really is your story guys, you believed in it, and me, when I didn't believe myself, so here we go!
Chapter 20: Not OK
The boys were speechless; they knew Gustavo was abrupt, and slightly awkward in difficult situations, but they never thought this of him.
"Did we just get-?" Carlos began, stunned, and James silenced him with a nod.
"I'm sorry guys," Kendall said, facing neither boy in particular,
"It's OK," James said flatly, as if to shut him up too. James got up and led the way out of the studio, leaving Carlos to help Kendall after him.
"James," Kendall called out to him, and the taller boy turned "I really am so sorry!"
"It's OK," James said, emotionless, before turning and proceeding to the car, leaving Carlos and Kendall standing by the door.
Logan was solemn as Carlos and Kendall told him what Gustavo had done, and he nodded wordlessly as they finished.
"I'm really really sorry guys, this is all my fault," Kendall said in a small voice.
"Don't worry about it, you didn't mean for any of this to happen," Logan said gently.
"Yeah, Kendall," Carlos put in "besides, there's nothing we can do about it now, so there's no use blaming yourself,"
"James?" Kendall asked hesitantly "I'm so sorry, I didn't think he'd shut it down like that,"
"It's OK," James said flatly, and he got up, shutting his and Carlos' bedroom door behind him.
Mrs Knight called for lunch an hour later, and soon the boys were all sitting at the kitchen table, eating silently.
"James?" Kendall asked hesitantly.
"What?" the taller boy asked sharply.
"I really am sorry about what happened with the band today-"
"It's O-"
"No, it's not OK, James!" Kendall interrupted "This was your dream! To be famous! And I ruined it! I'm so sorry!" tears sprung to the blonde's eyes as he spoke, and James looked away.
"It's OK," he muttered again "I'll just have to get there another way," he got up, and put his plate in the sink before leaving the room, the sound of the front door shutting reverberating around the silent apartment.
A/N: short chapter, I know. Sorry. But now I'm gonna go and write the end of this story (finally!), and I'll update soon, I promise!
P.S, i've decided whether this story is gonna be Kogan or Jendall, and I'm sorry for those of you who wanted it the way I didn't pick, but I just feel like I can write better with the ending I chose.
As always, pretty please leave me a review, and thank you SO MUCH for all your support, I couldn't do this without it! xo
