Don't worry, another chapter is here for you all. I've got like a million story ideas that I'm working on at once so yeah it has effected the progress of this story. But worry not, this time next week another chapter will be posted. And as always enjoy.
"Time to go out and get some fresh air Trunks." The mother just finished dressing up her son. She then looked back at Vegeta. "That goes for you too."
"Absolutely not."
"You'll harass those men again and I can't have them doing a shitty job on the flooring because you rushed them. Now come on we're just going to the park."
"The park?"
"Yes, you'll see when we get there."
Vegeta reluctantly rose from the couch and followed the woman out of the door.
XXX
Trunks led the way out the door and his mother walked close behind him. Vegeta was close, but not too close. He was too busy glaring at every person that gawked at them and whispered behind their backs.
"Ugh. Can your species be any more annoying?"
"Yes, actually."
Trunks ran, tripped and fell but quickly recovered.
Bulma pointed to an area in the distance. "That's the park, right there."
Vegeta stared at it, confused. "What the hell is that?"
Bulma laughed. "It's a place for kids to run around and play, have fun and stuff. Do whatever it is that kids do."
Soon after she arrived Bulma's phone rang.
"Chi-Chi hey what's up?"
"Are you busy, can you come over?"
Bulma stopped walking, now concerned about her friend. "Why? What's going on?"
"Bulma, I'll tell you when you get here just hurry please."
Bulma nodded. "Yeah, okay sure." She hung up. "Vegeta, I need a favor." The blunette picked her son up in her arms. "I need to go to Chi-Chi's house, time now. Something's wrong and she needs me." Saiyan mothers had to stick together.
Vegeta was irritated but he much rather be around that other woman then stand another two minutes with a whole flock of humans. They all put a bad taste in his mouth. He lifted the woman in his arms and took off.

Bulma came bursting in the door, while Vegeta decided to stay outside with Gohan and Trunks. "Chichi, what's wrong?"
Chi-chi looked up at her friend, tears running down her face. "My life is a joke a big fat joke, and somewhere on that ginormous lookout tower of his, Dende is looking down at me laughing."
"Chi-Chi I might be able to help if you told me what was wrong."
"That good for nothing Goku, leaving his family like that because the Earth would be better off without him. Yeah, but hey before you go, why don't you just knock your wife up and then leave. Where's the chivalry in that?!"
"So you're pregnant. That's great news."
"Bulma, it's easy for you to say that because you're rich. Ugh! He already let Hercule take all the credit and all the money off of my own son's success and then when he finally has the time to come home and get a JOB, he dies." Chi-Chi looked Bulma square in the eyes. "He dies, Bulma." She began sobbing uncontrollably again.
"It's not like he planned on dying, it just kind of happened. I mean I know he's sorry for leaving you here." Bulma leaned in and hugged her friend. "If you ever need any help, financially, I'll help you Chi-Chi you know I would."
Chi-Chi shook her head, rejecting the idea. "Thanks but no thanks. We work for our pay here."
Bulma patted her friend on the head. "Yeah, I know. But I thought I'd try anyway." Bulma was sure she'd find a way to get her friend some money without explicitly handing in out to her.
"So… enough crying okay?"
Chi-Chi laughed. "Saiyans these days."
"Yeah, they just don't make them like they used to."
The two shared a laugh.
"So, how far along are you anyway?" Bulma eyed the expecting woman closely.
Chi-Chi rubbed her stomach. "I should be due next month or so."
"Next month! Really?! You don't even look it." Bulma circled her friend and then brought her hand to her chin. "Wow, you sure?"
Chi-Chi nodded. "I gauge my pregnancy on my appetite." Bulma laughed.
"A doctor is just as effective."
Chi-Chi waved her off. "So where's Trunks?"
"Oh he's outside with Gohan and Vegeta."
"Gohan's outside and Vegeta's here?" Chi-Chi furrowed her eyebrows. "He was supposed to be studying in his room." She dismissed the thoughts though. "I have to admit I'm surprised that Vegeta came along for the ride."
"Yeah, well. He's been awfully passive since…. Well it doesn't matter when but he's definitely more bearable, I don't know why exactly though."
"I see. Is he hungry? Perhaps I could make you guys something before you go?" Chi-Chi's eyes were wide, she wanted them to stay. She missed having to cook for Goku's appetite, she was sure Vegeta's was just as big.
"We wouldn't want to burden you."
"Come on Bulma, I'm not DIRT poor. Plus, I could probably teach you a thing or two about cooking."
"I hate cooking."
"Bulma, the way to a Saiyan's heart is through his stomach."
Bulma sighed. "That's not the only way." She smiled as she remembered her encounter with him just the other day.
"So…" Chi-Chi began preparing some food. "You two, are together now?"
"No, not really. But most of the world thinks he's my husband."
Chi-Chi laughed. "I didn't take Vegeta for the marrying type."
"I honestly don't think he knows what it means to be married." Bulma stood up and decided to help her friend. "He hasn't really objected the idea, not that I want to marry him or anything. He doesn't seem like the type who can handle settling down. Plus you'd have to refer to me as Princess Bulma, Princess of All Saiyans!"
The two women laughed wholeheartedly. Bulma was just glad to see a genuine smile on her friend's face.
XXX
Gohan was playing with Trunks, while Vegeta sat off to the side.
"Boy."
Gohan looked over to Vegeta. "Yes."
"Put my son down and fight me."
Gohan was slightly taken aback by the request, or rather the order, he sat Trunks off to the side in order to face the saiyan prince appropriately. "Uh, my mom really doesn't want me fighting anymore."
Vegeta stood up and approached the young half saiyan, "If you have time to play around you have time to train."
Gohan was more of an emotional fighter, his true power always came out when he was under extreme emotional stress. Unfortunately, there was no way that Vegeta was going to back down, his mind was set.
"But my mom said…" But before Gohan could finish his sentence he was caught with a swift punch to the gut.
"I could really care less what your mom said." Vegeta proceeded with another punch to the face, landing Gohan straight in the ground, creating a small crater. Trunks started crying, he liked Gohan.
Bulma and Chi-Chi heard the commotion from outside, and Bulma instantly knew that it couldn't be anything good. The rushed out to the front yard to find Vegeta standing over Gohan who was attempting to get up.
Just as he made it to his feet, he was hit with a ki blast that sent him flying and Vegeta took off in high pursuit after him.
"Vegeta!" Bulma cried out. What the hell is he doing?
Gohan managed to recover, mid-air. He put his arms up and began blocking the blows that he was receiving from Vegeta, he was fast and he was angry. Gohan wasn't sure why he was mad at him.
"Vegeta, please stop. I don't want to fight you."
Vegeta didn't respond but he also didn't stop, the attack was endless and Gohan was being overwhelmed. He decided that maybe if he hit back, the Saiyan Prince would back off. Gohan got one clean shot in on Vegeta's face. But this just made everything worse, the Prince immediately went Super Saiyan and gave Gohan an uppercut to the jaw, and before Gohan had the chance to power up, Vegeta was hovering above him, and with his hands interlocked as he slammed down on Gohan back. The boy fell hard to the Earth.
Gohan was unconscious and Vegeta picked him up from the ground.
The women managed to catch up with them by this time.
"Vegeta, stop you're gonna kill him!"
Vegeta looked over at Bulma. He wasn't going to kill Gohan.
"This is what happens when Saiyans don't train." He tossed the child to his mother. She couldn't even speak she was lost for words. But luckily for her, Bulma was never short of words.
"Vegeta! How dare you?!" With Trunks in hand she walked up to the Prince she wanted to slap him but refrained from doing so. "What would possess you to do something like that?! He's just a kid, Vegeta!"
"He more than a kid, he's a saiyan. And we all know he's the Earth's little champion who defeated Cell. So it's high time he started acting like it." Vegeta scoffed before taking of in a random direction.
Bulma turned back to Chi-Chi. "I'm sorry, you don't need the added stress."
She didn't respond.
The blunette sighed before pulling a capsule case out of her bag, luckily she never left home without one.

Vegeta needed some time alone. Goku's son, beat Cell, so he should've been able to put up a decent fight. He hated that kid's smug little face, just looking at him made the Prince's blood boil, he looked so much like Goku. His nonchalant demeanor didn't help either.
The Prince sat in the wasteland. He couldn't do this to himself anymore, fighting the boy was stupid. He clearly couldn't go into his Super Saiyan 2 form without an extreme emotional stimulus. Vegeta wouldn't get a challenge out of him.
He sat and waited. He didn't feel like going back just to hear that woman squawk at him. He didn't have the strength to argue with her, not now. He pushed his hands through his hair, his thoughts had been everywhere lately on her, on the child, on Goku, on Cell, the Andriods. Everything.
His fighting days were over, there was nothing left here but his son and that woman. She'd been on his mind a lot lately too, now that he hadn't had much else to think of.
Vegeta lived one way his entire life, and for him to have to adjust being on Earth with a 'family', was extremely overwhelming. Actually it was exasperating, it took every ounce of Vegeta not to tear through this planet like a sledgehammer.
He didn't want to go back home tonight.

"That damn Vegeta. Always running away from his problems. He didn't even give me a chance to speak." Bulma looked down at her son, she was so glad she could rant to him. "I mean if he'd just TALK to me and let me know what was on his mind before he decided to act out. Things would go a lot smoother, don't you agree, Trunks?"
"No." The boy replied
Bulma pouted. Ever since he learned that word, it was his response to everything, other than food. "Well, you're wrong. Because I'm bigger and smarter than you kid." Bulma picked up her son and put him in his crib.
"Well, it's time for you to go to sleep anyway."
The young prince fell flat on the bed.
Bulma smiled at him before leaving the room and entering her own.
She half expected Vegeta to be there for some reason, he'd been coming around a lot lately. She sighed before climbing into her bed.
Bulma was only out for an hour or so, before being abruptly woken up by her mother.
She pushed her head deep into her pillow. "Mom, what could you possibly want at this time of night?" The heiress had a long day already
"Sweetie! It's Trunks, he's not in his room!"
Bulma snapped awake. "What?!" She ripped the sheets from her body before her mother had a chance to answer and ran straight toward Trunks' room, her mother followed.
His crib side rails were torn off, broken off roughly with sheer force it would seem.
This isn't happening, this is not happening. Bulma began to panic, the worst case scenario kept playing in her mind. "Mom!" The blunette turned to her mom with tears in her eyes. "Where is he?! Where's my son?!"
"Relax, Bulma. I already called the police."
"Relax! My son is gone, someone took him! They stole my baby!"
Bulma could hear the sirens wailing in the background and she proceeded to the front door.
The police were posted around her grand estate. All their lights pointed toward her roof. She looked up to see that Trunks was teetering at the very top.
Bulma sighed. How in the world did he even get up there? The young mother questioned herself.
"Get my son down from there NOW!" Bulma yelled at the police.
"We've already sent a team up Mrs. Brief." The sheriff responded.
Bulma watched in anticipation as the crew drew closer to her son. Trunks waved them off but they kept coming closer. He frowned.
"Dada!" He said before pushing his little legs off of the building.
"NO! TRUNKS NO!" Bulma screamed. She attempted to catch him before he hit the ground, but luckily someone had beat her to it.
Bulma looked up to see Vegeta in the air holding their son by the collar of his onesie.
"Thank, goodness." Was all Bulma said before passing out, she wouldn't be so lucky as Vegeta let her fall hard on the ground. Kind of made his day actually.
