Hey guys hope you all are having a fabulous spring break... if your somewhere hot get some sun for me please. I'm still in Canada which means its still only about 2 degrees here, and I'm pale as fuck. So I need it. So enjoy the break and have fun reading this chapter :)

She was going to be just fine.

It had been one week since Clove had been back to the hospital. Ever since Kat woke up she was itching to be down there, to see her best friend again. Only she hadn't found the time. Spring break was now starting and even though Kat couldn't join them, Clove was just happy knowing that Kat was alive and well again.

After waking up from her coma, her injuries were healing at a fast rate. The doctors had drained all the blood out of her brain, and everything was going fine up there again. She didn't have any brain damage, or anything wrong. Her heart was beating by its self and they had taken her off life support once she woke up. Her heart tests had come back negative. Nothing was wrong anymore and she was free to beat by itself, under supervision that is. But her eye was the best part. The glass had pierced her eye to far to be fixed, she was going to have to be blind in one eye. Expect that her doctor had found a organ donor that had recently died. He was allowing his eyes to be donated to someone in need. And thanks to the donor Kat had a new eye again.

The surgery for it had gone fine and now she could see out of both eyes. The coolest part was, was that the donor had blue eyes. So now Kat had one brown eye and one blue. It was absolutely amazing. Even so, she was still in the hospital for another two weeks, but after that she was out. And was never going to be back in there as long as Clove had something to do with it.

Clove tapped her foot on the floor of her classroom. It was there last day of class as spring break started as soon as that final bell rang. She only had five minutes left and then she would be in her car and off to the hospital. She sat there tapping away at her phone while her teacher stood in front of the class talking about God knows what. She would read the textbook for the lesson later before there test but right now all she wanted was that final bell to ring. And it did.

Clove never jumped out of her chair so fast in her entire life. She grabbed her bag and flew out of the classroom not waiting for anybody. She quickly stopped at her locker to grab her coat and then she was out the door pulling her coat on as she did. The weather was a little warm not enough to be short tops but it allowed Clove to wear a spring jacket.

She unlocked her car door and slid in. She started her car as she slid on her black sunglasses. She buckled up and threw the car into reverse. Then she was out of the parking lot and onto the road. Clove still couldn't get over the fact of the hospital as she stepped inside.

Now matter how many times she was in there she still couldn't get over the smell of cleaning products and the white walls that seemed to go on forever. Clove had memorized Kat's room and was there in almost two minutes flat. When she walked in Kat sat up in her bed reading a magazine. She still had some tubes and wires connected to her but a lot less from the first time Clove had seen her. As she walked in Kat look up from her reading.

"Hey!" she said dropping the magazine on her lap a smile plastered on her face. Clove ran over to hug her. Kat seemed so small and fragile after everything that had happened so she was careful not to squeeze to tight.

"How have you been?" Kat asked as she sat back in bed her face flushed.

"Screw that" Clove said taking a chair from the other end of the room and sitting it beside her. "How have you been? What are they saying?"

Kat squirmed a little as she let out a long breath. "Well right now its at least another two weeks"

"Really that long?" moaned Clove she sat her bag beside her chair as she slumped back into it. Running a hand though her long black hair.

"I know right?" Kat commented. "But they want to make sure the eye isn't going to reject and to make sure my bones are healing properly. Plus they said it looks like my stitches aren't healing like they should so they have to check that. Plus right now my parents are going though sewing with the lawyers. They think right now, here is the best place to be before I go into court to testify what happened"

"How much are they sewing the guys for?"

"Five hundred thousand dollars. Because he almost killed me and they could of lost there child. Plus some of it is going to be used to pay the medical bill were about to get" She said as she tied her hazel hair into a messy bun on top of her head.

"How bad is the bill right now?" Clove asked.

"Right now were looking at about twelve thousand dollars"

"Wow"

"I know. But my parents could easily pay it right now. That money is nothing to us. So were okay right now. The only thing there worried about right now is me getting better and getting that guy in jail for the rest of his life"

"Well" Clove said as she dug around in her bag. "Seems as you have nothing better to do. And since its so boring around here and you can't do anything for spring break I brought you a little something" She pulled out of her bag a little bottle of vodka. It was only thirty mL enough for one shot but Kat snatched it out of her hands anyways.

"Thanks" she said as she screwed open the top and chugged the shot down. She made a face as she she shook her head. "Wow. Strong"

"I know I thought you needed it" Clove said laughing. At that moment Kats mom walked into her room. She was dressed in a white button down top with a black blazer over and a black pencil shirt with black heels. She held a briefcase in one hand and her purse over her shoulder on the other. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a slick bun and a blue tooth was clipped in her ear.

"Hi dear" she said as she sat her bags down on the floor of Kat's bed. Kat quickly shoved the empty bottle of vodka under her sheets so her mom wouldn't see them.

"Hi mom" she said looking red in the checks. "How was the meeting with the lawyer?"

"Good everything is in set, we just need to get a court date and for you to get better" she said kissing the top of her head.

"How are you Clove?" she asked turning to her.

"I'm good Mrs. Everdeen" she replied with a nice smile.

"That's great" she said as she reached into her purse. She pulled out two little brown bags and handed one to each of the girls. "They had muffins and cookies at work today. I snagged a couple for you girls"

"Thanks" Clove said as she reached in the bag and broke of the piece of a cookie and plopped it into her mouth.

"Have you talked to the doctor about treatment?" Her mom asked as she flipped though her phone.

"I haven't had a chance. Haven't seen him since last night" Kat replied as she bit into a muffin.

"Alright well I'm going to go find him and talk to him. Hopefully we can get you out of this place sooner rather than later" Kat's mom said looking around the room looking disgusted.

"Mom its not an insane asylum" Kat said covering her mouth.

"I know honey. But I don't like you here all day while I'm at work, the sooner you get home the sooner I'll be more relaxed" She said as she collected her briefcase and purse.

"I'll be back soon" she said as she headed out the door and down the hall.

"So what are you guys doing for spring break?" Kat asked.

"Nothing much. Me and Cato are just gonna hang out a lot. Speaking of which" she said as she looked up at the clock on the wall. "I'm supposed to be meeting him in twenty minutes. I gotta go"

"Already?"

"I know I know" She said standing up. "But I promise I'll come back everyday with a new shot for you. To keep you on edge"

"Thanks" Kat said as she hugged her. Clove grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. She turned her head over her shoulder just as she was walking out.

"Why don't you call your boyfriend. Maybe he can provide some entertainment for you" she said winking before walking out the door.

Cato and Clove sat on her couch making out. Cato had his lips pressed hard against Clove's as she had her arms wrapped around her shoulder. She broke apart for breath and Cato took the opportunity to travel his lips down her to neck. While he sucked her collarbone Clove pulled out her phone and started going though her text messages. "Awww man" she said. "Jackie just text ed me she's really sick. Throwing up and everything. Now we can't do anything for spring break"

"Good" Cato said pulling back. "Because I don't think she's gonna wanna see the hickey that's on your neck"

"What" Clove said as she touched the hot spot on her neck where his lips had been. "I'm going to kill you"

"I'd like to see you try" he said before crashing his lips back onto hers.

What a spring break this was going to be.

A little short I know but the next chapter is going to have a plot twist so I kinda needed a filler for this chapter, hope it wasn't that bad.
