Ok guys, don't hate me for what these next few chapters are going to put Bruce and Diana through. I've given you a little fluff, a little smut, and now it's time for some angst-y, action-y drama. I know this chapter is kind of short, but I'm hoping to post again tomorrow or Wednesday so keep your fingers crossed for me. Also, just a head's up, I plan to finish this story up in the next month or so. Hope you all enjoy for now, and as always, I love hearing feedback!
Bruce POV:
"EEERRRRGGHHH!" I slam my fist into the punching bag again. It had been three days since Diana had gone missing, and I still haven't gotten one step closer to finding her.
"Master Bruce, why don't you go and rest for now. You haven't slept for two days. The rest of us, as well as the League are all on high alert, and will let you know if anything happens."
I mull over what he says. Sleeping may be a better option than punching the crap out of things in my impatience.
"Fine Alfred," I say, turning to head up the stairs.
Blam. Blam. I see the familiar bodies of my parents fall to the ground. Blood pools around them, my mother's broken necklace shooting out crimson colored pearls.
I fall to the knees and scream, but no matter how loud I scream nothing comes out. No one hears me.
Suddenly there's a hand on my shoulder. I turn, standing up to face the person, aging as I stand up. It's Diana. I look into her eyes , trying to speak, and convey everything running through my head.
Before I can form words she says, "It's ok Bruce. I hear you."
She wraps her arms around me as the tears start streaming down my face, and cries wrack my throat.
I wake up, with wet eyes, sitting in amazement. Diana made my nightmare go away. She really did it.
I jump up out of bed, new energy surging through my body. I return to the batcave, and start relooking over the files.
After another few hours of searching, I find it.
Peru. Diana has to be in Peru.
