Alright, here's the next chapter. Long wait but I lost some inspiration along the way and regained it. I was tempted to post the new chapter while the new season More Blood was half way in progress until I decided that would be too long. So I got this chapter done off of inspiration of new ideas, sorry if it's a bit rushed near the end, nothing I could figure out to make it better and if it seems a bit OOC for the characters, I tried. I also got the third chapter to Long Lived Beautiful Fragrance coming to you guys as soon as possible. No later than this week.

The second chapter to Trial of Blood and Pain for Ruki, I am currently working on that. After, I've started up the second request fic from last year. I have an idea on that one so I'll get it out as soon as possible.

Also be on the look out for a couple new stories. They are not DiaLovers, but I have been working on them. They will be featured later. With my classes this year, I doubt I'll be uploading quickly so just bare with me until I do. Thanks and enjoy reading!

Waking up the following evening, Jackie got ready for classes. She walked next door to the bathroom, locking it even though it was useless. She took a ten-minute shower and used the medicine she gained from Azusa after dinner last night to put on her back wounds that were starting to turn into faded scars. She sighs, 'having scars like these are so not attractive.' The girl got dressed for school while in the bathroom and left ten minutes later as well. She headed for her room to grab her school bag when a knock was heard on her door.

"Come on Livestock. I don't want to be late because of you holding us up. We got a festival to run remember?" Ruki stands next to the door with his arms crossed.

"Wait the festival is tonight? I thought it was tomorrow night."

"No. Now hurry up and come down for breakfast. We don't need an anemic girl for food."

Jackie looked up at the dark gray haired vampire and nodded. "Give me two minutes and I'll be down ready to eat and to go."

Ruki turns to leave. "Be sure you do. No one will attack you until after you ate." After that he left.

Jackie sighed in relief on the idea of not being bitten for a while. Last night's conversation of being 'Eve' really was hard to swallow. She took her books out of her school bag and replaced it with a couple novels she was trying to finish reading, a pair of clothes to change into later, and a notebook. She put on a jacket as well and swung the bag over her shoulders. Placing one hand into her pocket she felt something, a black box. She opened it up and found the hairpin Subaru gave her after the dance.

Feeling her heart drop at the thought of Subaru, she decided to put the hairpin in just for tonight. After placing the white rose pin in her hair, on the side above her left ear, she headed for the dinning room quickly. Jackie arrived in the dinning room and sat down near Azusa again. The light gray haired vampire turns to smile at her; she smiles back to be polite.

"Morning~ M-Neko-chan~!" The idol said as he came up behind her.

"Oh morning Kou." Jackie replied.

"Eh~? What's with the somber mood? Don't tell me you missed my fangs already?" Kou leaned close to her neck.

Jackie rolled her eyes. "No Kou, I'm still just a little tired from last night. Please leave me alone for a while." Kou pouted and complied as he sat down in front of her. Yuma walked in with Ruki carrying the breakfast. They handed them out to everyone and soon everyone started to eat. In the mist of the clinkering of silverware Jackie thinks back to the night before.

Flashback:

"Your 'Eve'? What do you mean?" She looks at the dark hair vampire. He sips his drink before answering.

"You will belong with us because your blood is of the finest quality. You hold Eve's blood and you need to find an Adam. So you will choose one of us to play the role." Ruki explains. Jackie swallowed carefully and sat back in her chair and closed her eyes. She carefully breathes as she thought over the information given to her.

Once she reached a conclusion, she asks, "So all religious junk aside, I'm suppose to choose one of you to be my partner in some kind of project?"

"No. More like what you humans call finding a husband."

She swallows carefully, "You mean finding a mate."

Ruki nodded. "What is you answer Livestock?"

Taking a deep breath, Jackie slowly exhaled before replying. "No way in hell!" Jumping up quickly and slamming her hands down on the table. "I refuse to chose someone other than Subaru my boyfriend and that's final! Go after that useless Yui or someone else because I ain't taking part in this dumb project of yours!" Her eyes shined with a fire burning inside with anger at the four vampires. Wait-? There were four right? Where did the other three go..? Just when she blinked she felt herself hit the table hard and the silverware, glasses, and plates shoved to the side, some of them broken. Wincing, the girl opened one eye slightly and saw the three eldest standing over her, eyes glowing and fangs extending into a snarl.

"I'm afraid not. You will choose one of us to be your mate and that's final. Or you will die." Ruki said with a dangerously slick tone.

"You kill me and you'll have two sets of vampire clans after you with the intent to kill."

Kou laughs, "We're protected by the same father as the Sakamakis but they don't give a damn about him so we're fine."

"Who ev'r this second group you're talking abou' Sow, is probably just one of your damned dreams." Yuma commented with a glare. Jackie grits her teeth and tried to move only to be pushed down harder to the point she knew it would leave a bruise in the morning.

"We'll be nice just this once to you Livestock since I do owe you on that project, you finished your half long time ago and now I will repay the favor. You can choose one of us the day after tomorrow. It will give you something to think about, but after that you will choose or you will die."

Not seeing anyway out of the situation, the girl closed her eyes and agreed. Afterwards the three vampires had a little argument about supper and decided to share her blood for their meal. She woke up a while later on her bed with Azusa nearby. They talked for a bit but he never went after her blood.

"You need to… recover your blood. I won't… drink yet." He had said.

"Thanks. Um can I ask you if you have some medicine that I can borrow?" She asked him.

He tilted his head slightly, "Medicine? For what?" She smiled sheepishly.

"I have some scars on my backside for nearly a month now and I wanted to soothe them by putting something on them every night until the pain fades."

"Oh. So you don't like pain?" He looks disappointed.

"Not too much. Please just this one favor."

"Mm… wait here…" The gray haired vampire disappears for a minute before coming back. She thanked him before he left for the night.

End of Flashback

The five had finished their meal and was riding to school. Jackie sat in between Yuma and Kou while Ruki had the window seat to the left and Azusa had the right. Unlike it being a quiet ride to school like with the Sakamakis, Yuma and Kou were bickering and trying to convince Jackie to choose one of them and how well they would treat her. It continued until they got to the school. The five of them were early so they went ahead to the second year's classroom to start setting up.

"Ruki, I thought you had to do something for the third years." She asked as he walked beside her.

"No. I got permission to do this with my brothers. Besides, if they're not watching out for you, who will."

"Oh."

"Don't get the wrong idea Livestock, you have some free will but not much today. Since the Sakamakis are going to get together and do the same for the second year class they're in as well. So both of us are going to be busy." The dark haired vampire answered with a strict tone.

"So what am I suppose to do?" She asked.

"You can give out flyers M-Neko-chan~. It is important to stand at the gate and give some out." Kou replied with a box of flyers. Jackie went over and pulled one out of the box.

"A maid café? You guys are doing one of these?" She asked, staying calm and composed, trying not to let a smirk come out. "It seemed appropriate since they were doing it too. After you hand them out, you will come back and change into your costume."

"Huh?" She turned around to see the outfit Yuma held up. It was a simple maid's uniform but cut at the top to show more cleavage and somewhat shorter than the normal skirt for school to show more underneath. She blushed, "You don't have anything else more appropriate?"

"I thought you liked this stuff, M-Neko-chan. After all, you were doing it with that Sakamaki before." Kou licks her neck.

Jackie shivers and blushed. "Only one time and no I'm not into that kind of stuff."

"Too bad Sow. Ya wearing it." Jackie sighed and nodded, seeing no other way.

"So Sow, promise ya won't run off while we're holding our café?" Yuma said while he prepared his costume.

Jackie shook her head. "No. I'll just hand out the flyers like you asked me to and then come back to help after."

The taller male nodded. He left the classroom to go and fetch ingredients from the kitchens. Jackie sighed. She went over to pick up the box of flyers and headed outside to the main gate. Along the way there were other students going back and forth helping out and setting up. In half an hour people would start coming and the festival would start. She set her box down outside the steps of the school and took out a small pile, before sitting on the steps to wait for the crowd to come.

As she waited, several times she felt like she was being watched. From back inside the school she could understand, she was prey and in an area that both families were watching her. 'Bet Subaru's jumping for joy in seeing me. Too bad I can't say the same.' She also noticed that she was being watched from somewhere near the gate but couldn't find the person who was watching her, except other students setting up booths and flyer tables. So she shrugged the thought off before she became scared.

Soon it was time and people started coming in to the school, the festival started off slow then gained more and more people. After an hour and a half, Jackie emptied out her box of flyers and dumped the box near other recycled boxes before heading inside to the classroom. Along the way, she stopped by a few booths and classrooms to check out what other people were doing. Visiting one of the first year's sweet shops, she bought a snack and was currently eating on some Taiyaki when she felt a familiar presence watching her. She looked around until she caught a glimpse of some white far behind her. Taking a guess she headed toward the back of the school stairs, which would have been the quickest way to get back to the Mukami's Maid Café.

Before she got to the first step, she was grabbed quickly. Scene changed quickly as she found herself in the darkness of a janitor's closet. She tried to scream but her mouth was covered as quickly as she got in.

"Shh. Don't scream, it's just me." Instantly she calmed down at the voice and nodded. She reached up and removed the hand covering her mouth and hugged Subaru.

"I missed you."

"I did too, come here." He shifted her around before lifting her up and pushing up her shirt.

"What are you doing?"

"Snacking." He replied before settling his fangs just below her breasts and sucking softly. Jackie closed her eyes and sighed softly, running her fingers through his snow-white hair, she relaxed as he fed.

After a couple minutes, he sets her down gently before asking, "Why the hell are you with them? I told you to stay away from them."

"I didn't know at first. I helped out some student that seemed to be in trouble but didn't expect that they were a vampire. Azusa I believe. But he's been nice to me." She tries to explain, Subaru snorted in disbelief. "Also I'm in trouble. Ruki and the other two want me to mate with them for some 'Eve' project. I have until sunrise tonight to choose and I don't want to. I have to choose or die." She quickly explained to him.

Subaru nodded in the dark, he forgot she couldn't see him. "It's okay. I'll follow you after school and rescue you."

Jackie smirks, "Like a prince charming? Too bad I didn't believe in those kinds of fairy tales but with you, I guess I do a little."

Subaru blushed and cleared his throat. "Better let you go or they'll come after us. You can explain the rest later."

"Okay." She agrees before hugging him one last time before leaving. He let her open the door and head upstairs. Watching he noticed the pin he gave her after the dance and smiled before heading to the classroom of his family's Maid Café.

"Ya sure took your sweet time Sow." Yuma greeted her as she walked in.

"Sorry, I wanted to see some of the other student's works too." Ruki came up behind her.

"No matter, just go get changed."

"Yes sir." She picks up her outfit and heads to the girl's bathroom to change before coming back out. It took another hour until the café ran out of food, luckily for them, the Sakamakis ran out of food fifteen minutes before so the Mukamis were happy that they had the most people and enjoyed going over to tease the Sakamakis, or rather Kou and Yuma were about their victory.

"Let's go home. Hope you made your decision." Ruki looks at Jackie after he dragged both blonds out of the other classroom, promising them a lecture later. She looked away for a second before replying.

"I'll give it to you a little before sunrise. I just want to think before coming to a conclusion."

"Very well. Let's go." He lead the way to the vehicle and Jackie quickly changed out of her sexy maid uniform and back into her normal school clothes before catching up. The five made their way back home in peace and left the girl to her thoughts as promised. Jackie left to her room and quickly packed all her stuff in her school bag, really cramming it all in before sneaking out to the front gates and tossing the bag over the wall. Apologizing to the books for treating them so bad, she turns around to look at the house. She notices a small tower on the far end of the house and decided to stay up there until it was time to choose.

Once up there she thought about the vampires and decided just in case Subaru comes late, she'll pick Azusa. 'I may not know much about him but I'll risk it.' She leans against the railing looking out as soft blue was starting to paint the night sky, saying that morning was coming soon.

The girl sighs, "My life is so twisted in drama, why couldn't I have lived a normal life? Not saying I don't regret meeting Subaru, Shu, Joc and the rest but it's so tiring~."

"Quit your whining Sow an' choose!" Jackie jumps and turns around to see that all four had gathered in the tower.

"Oh uh.. um.. mm." She looks down disappointed that she didn't see her vampire.

"Alright, you had long enough. Now choose one of us." Ruki says with his arms crossed.

"I hope it's me M-Neko-chan~. I'll treat you like a spoiled princess as long as you give me your blood in return." Kou winks with a smile. Jackie inwardly shivers.

"Choose me Sow. I need help in th' garden and you're th' perfect slave help." Yuma said lazily while leaning against the wall.

"Choose me and I'll… teach you… the pleasures of pain… You can even hit… me if you want…" Azusa said as he fumbled with the bandages on his arm, blushing. 'Well that's cute I guess.' She thought looking at him.

"Choose me and I'll give you freedom but you'll stay in my room at all times to watch over." Ruki says last. Taking a minute to finalize her thoughts. 'No. I'm going with the last plan of option.' She looks up and glares at the elder vampire.

"As much as I'd love to choose one of you, I choose death instead."

Ruki's eyes narrowed as he takes a step towards her. "We're giving you one last chance to choose."

The air tensed as the four watched the foolish girl decide to die than to choose one of them. They weren't going to allow her death; they were going to make sure that the Eve project was successful no matter what. Jackie doesn't hesitate and for the second time this month; she jumps out of the tower towards her death. 'Sorry Subaru, guess this is goodbye if I don't get saved by those guys.' She started to close her eyes as the ground gets closer and closer before a streak of white flashes by and catches her.

"Damn it you are so reckless you know that!"

Surprised, she coughs out, "Sorry." Landing on the ground, Subaru tells her to hold on and take a deep breath, she complies before he teleports outside of the Mukami's territory. He lands in the park and allows her to catch her breath.

"What were you thinking?"

"It was either that or choosing someone else to be my mate than you." She replied, not knowing that she referred to him as her mate. He blushed and used the back of his hand to hide his blush while looking away.

"We better be continuing home." He coughs.

She nods, "Yeah. Hey I forgot my bag!"

"You mean that bag outside their home?" Subaru asks, Jackie nods.

"I had a familiar take it back to the mansion before I entered."

"Ah thanks." Subaru nodded before shifting the girl in his arms until he was carrying her bridle style, she blushed bright red.

"Let's go home before they come back looking for us."

"Yeah, lets go." She nuzzles the vampire's neck before relaxing against his chest. The two smiled at each other before Subaru teleported off to the mansion.

Inside one of the trees of the park, a man about in his early 30s put down his long ranged scope once the couple left. He had been tracking the young teen since she disappeared with the Mukamis. He picked up a cell he had turned the sound off and pressed call. He waits until the person on the other line picked up.

"Hey I found them. No the time was not right, they left as quickly as they came. No.. no they did not spot me… yes… don't worry, I'll get the job done. I never miss my shots." The man said as he closed the cell, his dark red eyes gleamed as he disappeared into the night.
