Chapter 20: Return to the Island!
Arkham Island, what once was the place that Deadpool had started his life in the DC universe has now transformed from the house for the Criminal and Insane to now the main military base for Hugo Strange very own Tyger Force. While the assault on Arkham City continue own during Protocol Ten three of Tyger soldiers were standing outside the entrance gate that were examing the last armor SWAT like truck that had Tyger name on the side as the vehicle drove off to Gotham.
"That's the last one, Tyger command we….what in the world is that sound?" one of them said as they heard what sounded like long whistle sounds then next thing before they knew it a giant metal booted shoe had dropped from above and crashed all three Tyger men together as blood was sprayed around onto the ground in a large puddle. More Tyger soldiers had came out to investigate with their weapons in hand till they suddenly saw Deadpool pop up from on top the giant metal boot.
"Yo dog I heard you like boots! *sticks out his own booted foot out and points at it with his finger before pulling it back in* so I put my boots in this boot so I can stomp ya while I….ah fuck it I'm just gonna kill you with this giant laser turret anyways!" Wade said as he pulled out a large laser gun turret out from the giant boot. Right before the Tyger troops could attack Wade fired a burst of three shots from the laser gun that killed three troops that exploded in blood and guts as the rest of Tyger soldiers started firing their weapons at Deadpool only to be killed by the laser fire as a loud alarming sound was going off all around the island as more Tyger troops came out and started attacking while Wade kept on firing and killing them all.
"I knew Cable would come through for us, this is fucking awesome!" Wade thought as he kept killing more Tyger that came through the west side gate along with destroying the gate as it crumble down and killed or trap any Tyger force that was coming through.
"Yeah who knew that he kept the same Sentinel Boot for us after our game"
"You did ask him to fix the bugs in that thing for us right?"
"Huh bugs? What bugs?" Wade thought just as he paused his shooting when he felt the Sentinel Boot started shaking and making rumbling sounds before looking up to the readers with a frown look on his mask face, "ah shiiiIIIITTTTTTT!" Wade yelled as the Sentinel Boot shot up into the air by the thrusters underneath as it sailed through the air for a moment then crashed down into the Medical Building on the island, once crash landed Wade got up and starts beating down onto the controls with his fist, "hey assholes time out for a sec, need to fix our boot" he called out while still beating down the panels.
"Oh brilliant plan Author, have us fight a army of assholes by having Cable sent up a fucked up mechanical boot"
Wade was now kicking below the panels now are hard as he could ignoring the pain he was feeling on his toes, "yeah this is not gonna end well" Wade said as he went back to fist pounding again.
"Yeah no bullshit right there"
"Come on come on, fuck write something Author!" Wade shouted while he was now bashing his head onto the panels till he stopped when he heard a noise that made Wade turn in time to see the Sentinel Boot fired rockets into the air and came raining down at more Tyger forces that had arrived as the whole area exploded when the rockets made impact, "….ok that works out a little better" Wade said before going back to the turret and resume firing until the Boot unexpectedly shoots up into the air again, "WWAAHHHHH!" Wade screamed.
Wonder Tower
Hugo Strange was looking down below as he watch Tyger helicopters continue their air assault onto the streets of Arkham City, he was aware that Batman was somewhere within Wonder Tower and was finding a way up to the top floor where Strange was but the professor wasn't too worried, believing the Dark Knight will still die and that Protocol Ten would be a success brought a cruel smile to his lips. That was until suddenly there was a explosion sound coming from his right as he turn and saw it was outside of Arkham City and was coming from Arkham Island as he turn to one of his Tyger guards.
"What is happening? Status report!" Hugo demanded as one of the guards was on radio to learn what was going on before turning to the professor.
"Sir! The island is being under attack by Deadpool riding in….a giant metal boot" he said though when the operative had said that he was unsure but he told what he heard.
"What?! I had thought Deathstroke…bah never mind, tell all Tyger air units to cease their attack and make way to Arkham Island at once!" Hugo barked out the orders as every helicopter cease their firing onto Arkham City and starts changing their course to the island as Strange watch from the window he was standing infront off then glance over to the island where he saw more explosions, "Nothing shall my Masters plans, not Batman, and certainly not some idiotic fool!" Hugo thought to himself.
Back with Deadpool
So far Deadpool was destroying everything and killing every Tyger soldier in sight however on the down sight the Sentinel Boot he was riding on kept malfunction by firing up into mid air and crashing down at random places all around the island, the latest one is crashing through the air port area where helicopters were being parked as the large boot crashed through one or three of them while Deadpool was being thrown and bumped around all sides inside the boot, "random ouch ah! random pain!" Wade said as the crash landing stopped and he went back onto the laser turret where he saw Tyger helicopters now flew in and starts firing at him but were destroyed after two of three hits by Deadpools fire.
"Are things still going according to plan?"
" Don't look at me this was all the Authors idea!" Wade thought as he was busying firing and blowing stuff around him
"We knew this was a bad idea!"
Deadpool continued his attack when he stopped and took notice around, bloody bodies everywhere, buildings with large holes an on fire, helicopter crashes here and there, the place was in total chaos and destruction, and the Sentinel Boot had stopped functioning. Thinking that it was time to get off Wade stood up and before he moved his foot out the giant Boot shot up high into the air again, "shit!, ok this is getting way out of hand Author" Wade said to the Author as the Boot was now falling down and crashed landed again, this time though Wade looked around his surroundings to notice that it was now sunny in daylight instead of night and looked to be in some village and old ruins, "Huh? What the hell since when is day time already?" Wade asked out loud.
" And in some village and old ruins?"
"Given to how high we were, we must of landed somewhere WAY outside of Arkham City"
"What?! Now that's just some crazy bull-" Wade paused his mid thoughts as he stared on to see a group of hot women in Greek clothing and Amazonian warrior outfits, all of them staring in confusion, "…holy shit is this what I think it is?" Wade thought to himself.
"That island we were looking for where Wonder Woman came from? Themo-something?"
"The island of Themyscira I believe"
"Really? You sure that's spelled right?"
"How it's spelled is none important, what is important is that it's the birth and home place to one of the hottest heroines in the world"
"So if there's one hot chick coming from this place"
"There's bound to be more, and when there's more equals"
"One big billion dollar jackpot!" Wade thought as he stood up on top the Sentinel Boot to make his presence known to the Amazon women, "hey ladies, how about spending a little quality time with-" he was cut off when the Sentinel Boot shot into the air with him still on board, "son of a fucking bitch!" Deadpool yelled out while being shot into the air.
Out of all the Amazon women two of them were having a little spare till Deadpools interruption, both were sister's that looked almost identical, "Sister who was that?" Donna asked her older sister as Diana would only frown at seeing Deadpool's appearance, "someone that I hope you would never meet" she answered the younger sister.
Deadpool yelled all the way through the rode then crashed landed into Tyger command center back on Arkham Island, when Wade got up and looked around he was not happy, "Oh come on! Can you believe this shit?!" Wade asked the readers.
"The one time of our bad luck going right and it back fired on us!"
"Yeah we didn't even had time to map it to come back later!"
"Damn right and I didn't even-" Wade was about to get cut off from his thoughts when the Sentinel Boot started shaking again ready for another take off, " Not this time you fucking piece of junk!" Wade shouted as he drew both of his katana's and with a quick twist around for them to face downward as Wade slammed both blades down onto the control panel as it gave out a electrical spark that caused the Sentinel Boot to shut down, "…why the hell didn't I think of this before?" Wade said before pulling his blade out and sheathing them both.
"Yeah that was easy"
"Maybe a little too easy"
Just then electrical sparks started showing all around on the panels more than natural, "System Overload, Warning System Overload" the voice of a Sentinel spoke as the entire metal boot was covered in more electrical sparks as Deadpool looked around then looked at the readers, "….oh crap" Wade spoke as the next thing he knew the Sentinel Boot went off in a big explosion.
Wonder Tower
Batman had successfully stopped Protocol Ten and was about to make an attempt to apprehend Hugo Strange before Ra's Al Ghul stabbed the professor through the chest with his sword and had revealed that he was behind everything, before more could be said a loud explosion was made that caused all of the present men to turn to see a mini-mushroom cloud was form over where Arkham Island was along with what look a mini missile flying out of the mushroom cloud and heading straight to Wonder Tower follow by a screaming sound till a red and black figure crashed through the window, then crashed through a bunch of expensive equipment, then crashed through another window to the outside.
Ra's Al Ghul watched this happened with a blank look on his face till he spoke up, "What in the world was.." he didn't get to finished as a dying Hugo Strange spoke up, "computer activate Protocol Eleven, pass code: Wayne" he said as a computer activated with a short five seconds being showed, wasting no time Batman pushed Ra's through a window to escape while Hugo would only look up at the ceiling with a bloody smile on his face before the top of Wonder Tower exploded.
With Deadpool again
Deadpool was laying down on a random rooftop just as the top of Wonder Tower exploded as that woke him up and made him jump onto his feet, "who what when where why?!" he asked quickly while looking around then looked up in time to see Ra's body fell and being impaled by a spike tip at the entrance to Arkham City, " boy that guy just got fucked up" Wade said out loud.
"Imagine what would of happened if he landed on his ass on it"
"Oh now that would have been painful there"
"Yeah no shit there" Wade thought as he notice that Batman was gliding down onto a different roof top away from Wade, "Oh hey it's my good old buddy Bats!" Wade thought as he disappeared from the roof top he was on.
When Batman had landed and stood back up he saw Ra's body lay motionless on top the spike that impaled him as Oracle called on him, "Bruce everything ok? What happened?" she asked and just before he could answered Deadpool appeared behind him which Batman quick reflexes caused the Dark Knight to spun around and punch him square in the face.
"Ow jeez Bats could you not punch me for one minute before I say hello?" Wade asked him while rubbing the side of his face where he was punched as Oracle talked up again, "Wait a minute who's that?" she asked through the radio build in Batman's cowl, which Wade could hear out of from standing close to him, "Who's that you talking to Bat's? you got a inner voice as well? Can I talk to her she sounds like a hot babe!" Wade asked him.
"Yeah we can use a third one with a voice like that!"
"It would be nice to finally have a female companion to talk to abit"
Unfortunately Deadpool's answer was Batman grabbing onto his shirt and lift him up as the Dark Knight had a pissed off look on his face, "What did you do Deadpool?! I know it was you that was involved in that explosion over there!" Batman yelled motioning his head to where the mushroom cloud was still there over at Arkham Island while Wade just shrug his shoulders.
"Oh little this little that, kill some assholes along with exploding things, just my usual work of being awesome, it's what the readers love about me it is my story after all" Wade said simply only to receive a glare from Batman.
"Readers? Story? This isn't a joke Deadpool!" Batman yelled in anger, just like how Wolverine would act when Wade pissed him off, before the Dark Knight could do anything Joker's voice was heard.
"Hhheelllooooo is this thing on?" both Batman and Deadpool turn to see a giant screen above the entrance gate where Joker's face show up, "Ah great not another television show of this asshole, where's the remote for that big ass TV?" Wade thought as Joker continue talking ,"Hello Batman, Deadpool, I know you both can hear me I got a little present for the both of you to see" the image that show Joker's face zoomed out abit to reveal two tied up women, one of them was Talia who had a calm look on her face the other one was Harley though she had her head down and looked to be unconscious.
"That's Harley!"
"And she doesn't look so well from what I can see!"
"As you can both see their in a little danger at the moment, one is slowly dying form a terrible disease that that she's gasping for her last breath of air, the other in danger of having her little brains blown out" as Joker talked he held up a pistol that he pointed to the side of Talia's head who had remain calm as she spoke up to Batman.
"Ignore him beloved, let him die" she said to the camera knowing that Batman and Deadpool was seeing this.
"The woman has guts I'll give her that"
"Yeah for someone that doesn't have a awesome healing factor she's got credit"
Right after Talia had spoke Joker had started laughing before he continued, " Oh how romantic, only problem is I've never felt better in my whole life, and we both know that you really can't ignore me…can you?" Joker asked as he grinned on the screen for both Batman and Deadpool to see as the clown continued, " so listen I'm putting out a little show for you both and it's going to be a doozey a real red carpet affair, but you better hurry though if you take too long one of the leading ladies may be found dead in their dressing rooms" as Joker said that he started his trade mark laughter before the screen got cut off.
As soon as the screen went off Batman was tapping onto his wrist, "I've got the signal to the tracker that Talia had on her, we can…." Batman started to talk but when he turned he saw that Deadpool was already gone, "DEADPOOL!" he shouted out the mask mercenary's name.
