CHAPTER 21
"I'm going to go help Hannah!" Zoe tried to avoid his question and go upstairs but Max pulled her back and her hands were now on his shirtless chest. "What happened last night Zoe?" Max asked "You texted me asking for my address and I sent it to you then you came here and you was very drunk and you just walked in and sat on the sofa...then you started telling me how I'm a bitch and how you still love me then you kissed me and I pushed you back and you started to shout saying how Connie was there for you..." Zoe explained. "Then I told you the truth about Connie." Zoe added "Carry on." Max urged. "Then I told you how Connie knew I was pregnant with your child and how she knew where I was." "She knew about us the whole fucking time, they say you should never trust anyone, I knew she couldn't have been so nice to a fucking porter." Max looks at Zoe "well I guess you must be happy now I'm now like the love of your life Mr Nick fucking Jordan isn't that exactly what you wanted?" "Max I don't know who you are anymore and just so you know I'm coming back to Holby Hannah deserves to know the place she was born... shit." Zoe blurted out. "Hannah was born in Holby!"
Zoe and Max were back in Holby now and Connie had gone back to Darwin Ward and Max was now the boss and working alongside him was Zoe. Zoe was living with Dylan but Max did not know this, Zoe and Max had told Hannah that Max was her dad and now Max had started to spoil her he brought her Timberlands, white air forces, Hollister jumpers, duffer ,he brought her every brand you can name. Hannah was with Max today and he had texted Zoe to send her the address and Max was shocked when he realised Zoe was living with his daughter in a boat. Max entered the boat and found Zoe sitting with Dylan drinking wine and he coughed to get their attention. "Zoe why are you living in... this, what is wrong with your flat?" Max asked obviously jealous "oh my heater and fridge are both broken so Dylan offered for me to live with him so I am until my things are fixed." Zoe replied "Zoe if its money you can ask me you know." "Max I do have money too you know I am a doctor too just because you earn more don't mean you have more money than me." Max rolled his eyes. He picked Hannah up and said "come on Hannah your coming to stay with me." Zoe quickly stood up a followed. "Max you can't take her!" Zoe shouted "why not?" Zoe looked down and said " I have never spent one night without her because...when she was born she was premature and when she came out of hospital she kept getting infection after infection that's why I'm protective of her." Max moved closer and cupped her face with one hand "no one said you can't come." He smiled at her then frowned and moved closer to sniff her, he did then said "get your stuff then get in the car." "Max I have a car you know?" "Oh yeah put the things in your car then follow me!"
When they got there they both parked their cars in Max's garage. When Zoe saw his house she felt proud it definitely was bigger than hers and Nick Jordan. When they got in Max put Hannah in his bed and said "you can take my room it is more comfy and warm." "Thanks." It was now 9pm and Max and Zoe started early so Zoe had a shower and had just come out and was in the room in nothing but her underwear and bra and Max walked in without knocking to get his pyjamas and robe. He froze when he saw Zoe and Zoe quickly grabbed her robe and put it on. "Sorry I should of knocked I'm just not used it." Max apologized. "It's okay Mary Jane." Max laughed and said "Get some sleep Spiderman we have to save lives tomorrow." Max was about to walk out and Zoe said "Max do you want to sleep with us?" Max smiled and said "Err yeah okay." They all fell asleep with Hannah in the middle and Zoe and Max holding hand on the stomach this was Hannah's family complete but will Zoe and Max get along at work together with Max being the boss?
