Chapter 11: An Alternate Day

I woke and did my normal duties around the house before grabbing a thinner coat I have for the day has decided to be warmer than usual. I stepped outside and saw some patches of grass growing up above the snow slightly here and there. Definitely getting warmer. I walked to the café and ordered my usual as I waited Skye and Lobo came in... great.

Lobo gave me a deathly look as if to threaten me if I say a word and Skye looked at me with a worried but firm look so she didn't seem to act as if she was worried for me. I knew in her eyes she wanted me to remember about yesterday's talk. I gave a bland look as if I was just checking on who came in and gave Skye a sort of smirk to show I understood her. I looked back and grabbed the paper bag. I decided to give Brewster a nice 300 bell tip with the added 200 for the coffee.

"Thanks..." Brewster said giving a half smile. I gave a nod with a small smile to show he was welcomed. Such a shy guy for having customers almost every morning.

I turned to leave before being stopped by Lobo being right behind me.

"Hurry up slow poke!" Lobo shouted.

"Sorry I can't make time move in your favor." I said walking around him. He shoved me almost making me drop my coffee.

"...Can't take 5 seconds near another guy without pushing or shoving him, huh?" I said as I began to walk back towards the door.

"When push comes to shove, it still means the same thing" Lobo said shoving me out the door. "Now get a move on!"

I dropped my coffee and landed in the snow on hands and knees. I got really ticked off after that, but I kept my cool and walked back into the coffee shop to order another coffee.

"And what do you seem to be doing here again?" Lobo asked and stiffening up as if to get ready to fight me.

"You made me spill my coffee... I came in to get another one." I said calmly.

"Well maybe if you moved faster you wouldn't be in this predicament"

"That's enough Lobo." Skye interrupted.

"What. I'm just telling him he shouldn't be a snail."

"Can you go 5 seconds without pushing or shoving a guy?" Skye said. This made Lobo a little concerned.

"Are you agreeing with him?" he asked a little stern.

"No. I'm asking you if you can. I just want you to stop talking to him. Let him get his coffee and go and we wouldn't be having any problems." she said folding her arms.

"Well you see sweety. He IS the problem. We can't have a problem free environment if the problem's here." Lobo said jokingly, but stern.

"Well the 'problem' will leave if you would stop making the 'problem' worse." Skye said handing Brewster the money to pay for their coffee. "Also why aren't you paying for this?"

"I told you honey the retail doesn't pay double for the red snappers till 2 days from now. Once I sell them for double, I'll be loaded for a couple weeks."

"... Well alright." Skye said slightly tilting her head down. I wonder why?

Lobo grabbed their coffees and went to a table. Skye still stood at the counter for she was buying them each a cookie. Afterwards she joined Lobo, but gave me a small worried glance. I knew she wanted me to do something, I just didn't know what. I re-ordered my coffee and waited for it to be done. I didn't turn my head what so ever to Skye and Lobo. When I got my coffee I guess Skye and Lobo were done with their cookies and decided to leave as well. I gestured at Lobo and said something I don't regret saying.

"Ladies first..." I said bowing as I opened the door.

"You little...! You did not just say that to me!" He shouted putting a fist up.

"I was talking to her." I said pointing to Skye sounding as if I was talking about her. Skye poked her ears up and looked a little stunned. Lobo cooled down, but was still ticked and moved out of the way for Skye. Skye carefully stepped forward and walked past Lobo then quietly said thanks as she passed me. That made Lobo almost angry and it caused him to shove me out the door.

"Hurry up Mr. Gentleman's snail!" Lobo yelled. I fell to the ground causing me to spill my coffee yet again.

"There goes my SECOND coffee thanks to you Mr. Ungrateful Pushy Pants..." I said as I got up a little angry at losing yet another coffee. I just barely heard Skye giggle for she was covering her mouth trying not to laugh and acting as if shocked.

"Oh your gonna get it now!" Lobo shouted as he raised his fist again.

"Lobo! Chill! See what I mean when I said the problem would go away if you didn't make the problem worse!" Skye said raising her voice. She was more aggravated by the situation now more than ever.

"You just don't get people who break your heart. They deserves the same medicine back." Lobo said looking at Skye like she was a little crazy.

"No it doesn't! Now how many people have you dated before me?" Skye asked suddenly.

"Now why do you want me to answer that?"

How many? Tell me!" Skye said getting angry.

"Four! OK? Now why did you wan-"

"Now why did they leave you?" Skye interrupted.

"...Because..." Lobo said beginning to sound nervous.

"Because why?"

"Because they think I have... anger issues..." Lobo said lowering his head in anger.

"Exactly. Just because someone hurts you or another you love doesn't mean to hurt that person back!" Skye said folding her arms.

"... You will pay for this..." Lobo said turning his head to me.

"Now give him some money to pay for another coffee. I know you have at least 300 bells left on you" Skye said lightly pushing Lobo to me. Lobo pulled out 200 bells and handed it to me, more like chucked it at my face.

"Lobo!" Skye shouted.

"You never told me how." Lobo said grinning.

"Your like a five year old right now!" Skye said putting her hand to the side of her head. Lobo got ticked and decided to let his anger out on me.

"Grr! You know if you never stayed in this crumby town after she told you she didn't want to see you this would never be happening!" Lobo shouted at me.

"For crying out loud Lobo! Why d-"

"Skye just let the baby rant." I said interrupting her.

"...AH HA HA HA! You think your funny! Wow... You know what. You caught me on my good side since YOU spilled your coffee twice for being a slow poke I'm letting you off the hook for now!" Lobo said. I seemed to have broken him cause he was smiling and looked like a mad man. "Come on sweety let's leave the jokester to himself." Lobo said wrapping an arm around Skye and turning them to walk away. I went back in and ordered my third coffee, but Brewster gave it to me for free after seeing what had happened and told me he would use part of his tip as the payment. I thanked him and left the shop.

After I drank my coffee it was already 2pm. Geeze Lobo does like to drag things on doesn't he. I went to Chief and asked him if he was busy.

"Nope, why do you ask?" Chief said.

"I was wondering if you wanted to head to the Island?" I asked.

"Noooooooo... No no no... Not dealing with that pink haired wolf." He said shaking his head.

"If they're there we will just ignore them."

"...Alright. There isn't anything to do right now so why not. We bringing Lucky and Roald?"

"Well... I would like to, but if those girls are there Lucky and Roald are going to be hanging with them instead of us. Like last time."

"Yeah, alright." Chief agreed.

We walked to the dock and decided to go to the Others island, stepped into the boat, set sail, Chief got mad at Kapp'ns song, Kapp'n got mad, and we finally got to the island. The girls weren't there and we did some tours for a couple hours. After finishing we went to go fishing so we could get more money. We grabbed some rods off of Loid and set down in an empty spot near the shore. We fished some good fish and some stupid ones... I think we all know which fish is the most annoying one to catch at sea... Well we got like 10 each, tossed them all for better fish. Afterwards we gave back the rods and put the fish in the special transportation box, never understood it's magic, and before we reached the ticket counter I heard a female voice call to me from behind.

"Hey Brandon!" Said the female voice. I turned around expecting Allison when it was actually Lily!

"Eh... Hey. Oh! Hey Lily!" I said realizing who it was. Standing next to her was a human guy with short blonde hair, a red tank with a 1 on it, blue jean shorts, and red flip flops, in which I'm guessing he was Jake.

"Jake this is the guy I told you about." Lily said.

"Ah so your the one my girlfriend scared? Ha ha Lily can be quite stealthy." Jake laughed. "Nice to meet you Brandon" and he held out his hand.

"Nice to meet you too." I said shaking his hand. "I don't know if you seen this one yet, but this is Chief."

"Sup." Chief said giving a quick wave.

"Well hello! I'm surprised I haven't met you yet out of everyone else." Lily said giving a smile. "So what are you guys up to?"

"We just got finished doing some tours and fishing. About to head back now." I replied. "What about you guys?"

"About to have a nice relaxing time under the moon tonight." She said smiling up at Jake.

"Yep, just you and me. We're gonna order a private island since you can't hold anything private on the town island." Jake said.

"Well you two have fun with that." I said smiling. We said our goodbyes and they left for their private holding island and as for Chief and I we had to catch the latest boat back to town. When we were finally back the sun was more than mid-way to setting. Chief decided to hit the hay early as for me, I decided to check out the forest. I never saw it around this time for I would be in my house doing something like watching TV or movie, and I knew Skye would never be out this late at the forest so I should be safe from Lobo.

I stepped to the entrance of the forest and thought about going in. I looked around to see if anyone was aorund and decided to step in. Before I say what happens next, did I forget to mention that the forest has regrown back to it's original state? No? OK well there you go! Now I told ya. Let's continue. So as I stepped into the forest the light from the entrance died away as I walked farther and farther in. The forest had a almost fantasy type feel to it. There was no snow in the forest surprisingly and the area glowed a hue of greenish-orange. The tree's bark and trail was brownish-orange, and the flowers were what ever color_flower_they_were-orange. It was so beautiful I couldn't believe it! I stepped farther in and the bench began to appear, but as it did I saw something blueish-orange sitting on the ground in front of the bench. It was Skye.
