Infinite Stratos: Recollections
A/N: New chapter again! Been a long time that I have not updated this. I was so focused in Truth Be Told that I lost track of my other fics.
So anyway here is an update for Recollections, next is Mahouka.

Massacre continues:
Inside one of the high risers in the ruined Kirov city.
Loud clashes of fist resounded inside the 41 story building, in the 34th floor.
The fight creating the noise is two people, Jonathan Vellamont, a tall blonde man in his twenties wearing a red sleeveless shirt and black military trousers; he is fighting against a young girl wearing an all-black military attire who is one of the attackers of the fortified city, Chigusa Orimura.
Both fought furiously inside the scorched and destroyed floor.
Jonathan threw a barrage of punches whilst Chigusa parried them all at once. The movements of their fists' break the air creating loud whooshing sounds.
Whoever it seemed strange that a well-built soldier was being held back by a 15 year old girl in a fist fight.
Jonathan took a step back and threw a powerful straight punch at Chigusa; however it was eluded easily by the latter, then retaliating with an elbow strike aimed at the face of Jonathan.
Jonathan blocked it with his left hand.
"Not bad young miss, fighting against me evenly."
"Oh? Don't flatter me scrap metal."
Chigusa did not take the praise very well and sneered insultingly at the man.
"Such a bad mouth, that is very unfitting for a lady."
Jonathan grabbed Chigusa by the collar and threw her across the room they are in, but Chigusa instead of smashing hard into a wall, like an agile cat, she maneuvers in the air and lands on her feet without fail.
Jonathan ran towards Chigusa in a fast motion and then held his left hand to the side aiming to clothesline the young girl.
"Hoh?"
Instead of evading, Chigusa stood up and met Jonathan halfway also extending her arm to the side for a clothesline against the blonde man.
Both got each other with their own clothesline move, but surprisingly none of them fell, both were alright, especially Chigusa.
She took a direct hit to the throat from Jonathan's clothesline, in should have broken her spinal in an instant, but since she is no normal girl, she just skidded back a short distance while looking unaffected by the damaging blow.
(This is girl… she is no normal girl… my arms should've tore her head off… but why is she standing still like nothing happened? More so…)
Jonathan touched his own throat.
When Chigusa's own clothesline hit his throat, he felt the power of her blow; it was enough to activate the pain inhibitors of his unnatural body.
(Her physical power is unnaturally high… where does all that power come from when she has such a slender body…)
Jonathan turned his head side to side as if to shake off a slight pain.
"I must admit, you're not typical child soldier… guess this proves father's point… the Orimura bloodline is filled with miraculous warriors."
Jonathan held his left wrist and began flexing it.
"There is no need to hold back then… when I'm faced against a powerful opponent… even if it is a girl…"
Jonathan's eyes grew sharp.
Quickly right after, both his hand blew off the fake synthetic skin, revealing silver cyborg arm inside.
"Sorry… but I'm gonna crush you now!"
Jonathan dashed towards Chigusa in a very quick manner, then landed a straight right on Chigusa's face.
The punch sent Chigusa flying through several rooms however she still landed on her feet but the moment she looked up, a left hook landed right on her face, throwing her off again.
"Amazing that your frail body can withstand my attacks!"
Whilst Chigusa was still in still suspended in the air after being flung by his punch, Jonathan appeared right in front of her and punched her back.
Chigusa crashed through several debris and machines.
"Time to finish this!"
Jonathan's right hand discharged steam.
"[Meteor Mallet] full power!"
Another discharge of steam happened before Jonathan's right hand leading up to his while arm, glowed an eerie yellow glow.
"Let's see if your durability withstands this!"
Jonathan run towards the kneeling Chigusa and delivered an uppercut to her face.
Jonathan's left cyborg arm discharged it power the moment it hit Chigusa's face, initiating an explosion.
An entire room blew up after that attack and Chigusa who took the attack was sent two floors up by going through the concrete roof.
"…"
Loud hissing sounds resounded as steam escaped Jonathan's right cyborg arm.
He watched the hole that Chigusa created when she got hit by his punch.
Jonathan jumped up and arrived right on the floor, finding Chigusa slumped on the floor, seemingly unconscious.
However, her being intact was a shocker. The power that his cyborg arm released earlier was enough to blast Chigusa's upper body to bits, but here she is intact and just unconscious on the floor.
"It seems it would be a waste to kill her… her talents are too precious to be wasted…"
Jonathan walked towards the downed Chigusa.
However when he was about to pick her up, he was greeted by Chigusa suddenly standing up and staring him right on the face.
"Boo!"
With a nasty grin, Chigusa head-butted Jonathan.
The hit was right on and despite Jonathan's internal armor plating, he felt the shock of the sudden attack.
He took two steps back after the blow landed, a little shaken.
"That was quite the blow you gave me earlier, I actually felt it." Chigusa spoke while wiping the blood off the side of her mouth.
"But… I think my shitty little sister hits harder than you."
Right after saying that, Chigusa suddenly vanished and landed a punch right on, Jonathan's face.
"Tch!"
Jonathan backed away for a few steps, staggering, before he dashed back landing a punch right on Chigusa's face.
"Heh!"
Jonathan grabbed Chigusa's face, lifted her up her feet and barraged her stomach with fast punches then finally finishing with straight punch that he pushed further, resulting to Chigusa hitting the wall.
Jonathan did not go easy on his opponent like he did earlier, Chigusa has not fallen off the wall yet, he punched her again right on the gut, sending her to the other room.
He chased after Chigusa and smashed her on the floor, then straddling her in place and repeatedly punched her face.
(She's too much of a trouble… she is more trouble than she is worth… better kill her right now…)
Jonathan increased the input of his cyborg arms, each blow began to carrying bigger power, enough to slowly dent to the floor.
Chigusa lay motionless while she was being barraged by cyborg arms.
(It seems that this one has power… maybe I can use it on him…)
(SNAP)
Chigusa who lay like a corpse for a short while suddenly moved, her legs raised and slid themselves in Jonathan's armpits and reserved their position by putting Jonathan down.
Now Chigusa is the one on top.
Chigusa joined both her hands together and smashed it on Jonathan's face.
(WHAT!?)
Jonathan felt a great amount of pain.
The pain inhibitors overloaded when Chigusa's attack delivered an unexpectedly great damage to Jonathan's face.
His enhanced vision aided by his cybernetic parts went static for a brief time; he even briefly lost contact his body.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
An eerie laughter from Chigusa resounded in the room before she joined her hands again and sent it smashing on Jonathan.
This time the blow sent Jonathan down a floor.
"Guhh!" Jonathan spit out blood as he crashed hard on the floor, but even before he can recover, his chest received a kick from Chigusa.
"Guuaah!"
Jonathan quickly stood up and tried to sweep Chigusa's off of him but the latter had already jumped away before he could do so.
Blood flowed out of Jonathan's mouth, his internal armor in his chest region dent inward damaging his ribs and slashed a part of his internal organs.
[Emergency Pain Inhibitor Serum administered]
The internal systems inside Jonathan's cyborg body activated, administering a dose of pain-inhibiting serum.
(How can this be possible? To damage my internal plating and my enhanced fiber muscle… this is impossible for a mere human to pull off.)
The serum finally taking effect, Jonathan's pain slowly vanished.
The blonde man soon stood to his feet, ready to do battle once again.
However, his opponent was already in front of him the moment he stood up and jabbed his face.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
With an insane laughter, Chigusa who seems to be behaving differently, now turned to the offensive after being in the receiving end of Jonathan's vicious attacks.
A knee strike and an elbow smashed on Jonathan's head.
"AHAHAHAHAHA!"
Chigusa flipped in mid-air and smashed down her heel right on Jonathan's forehead, sending the latter kneeling.
"Don't fuck around with me!"
Jonathan stood up quickly and grabbed Chigusa's and slammed her on the walls like a ragdoll.
But despite this Chigusa was unaffected.
"HAAAAAAAA!"
Jonathan gripped Chigusa's body in front of him and performed a German suplex.
The move sent both of them crashing down on another floor.
"Come here!"
Jonathan grabbed Chigusa's face again and whirled her on top of his head like a lasso before smashing her down on the floor.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
However after the damaging throw, Chigusa stood up instantly, still laughing and grinning eerily.
Chigusa sent her left elbow smashing right on Jonathan's chest then following up with an uppercut and a flip kick, sending Jonathan spinning in mid-air before crashing down on the floor.
"Grrrr!"
Punching the floor, Jonathan quickly stood up and lunged at Chigusa.
Both unleashed powerful attacks at each other, each collision of fists created a shockwave the shudder the room they are in.
The furious exchange continued for another minute before the two ended it with blows to each other's face.
"Grrrr!"
"AHAHAHAHAHA!"
Both gradually began to push back, but Jonathan was outpowered when Chigusa suddenly had a burst in her power, she grabbed Jonathan by the collar and head-butted him.
The blow was so powerful that it sent the muscular Jonathan to another room.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Chigusa began laughing even more.
Her aura began to thicken and became more sickening than before.
Her eyes turned pitch black, there were no pupils in it or the white sclera; it was all black like an endless abyss.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Her laughter grew more and more sinister; increasing by the moment that it began to sound like it was a group of people laughing at the same time.
"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
With a feral roar, Chigusa rushed forward, towards the room where Jonathan crashed.
But when she set one foot inside, a punch was sent flying at her face.
The cyborg arm of Jonathan who was about to deliver the blow glowed an ominous yellow color, this time even stronger.
"Shatter you monster!" Jonathan roared angrily.
But the assured hit was lost.
Chigusa ducked under it just mere moments before it hit her.
"Gehehehehehehe!"
Chigusa grabbed Jonathan's punching hand by the wrist and then forcefully smashes the back of her shoulder towards Jonathan, pushing him through the wall.
"That's it!"
Jonathan losing his cool, his released the limiters of his cyborg body, resulting to his entire body glowing yellow.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Jonathan dashed forward and threw a straight jab at the lunging Chigusa.
"!"
Chigusa on the other hand leaped up from the trajectory of the fast jab and flips to the other side, behind Jonathan.
"Take this!"
Jonathan spun behind him and threw a kick, but his leg was grabbed by Chigusa.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Chigusa's free hand grabbed on Jonathan's chest, her fingers actually digging through his skin, touching the muscle fiber beneath. She then lifted him up and kicked him upward with an upward flying drop kick, sending Jonathan to the floor above them.
But Chigusa chases after her opponent by leaping at the same time Jonathan smashed through the concrete roof, this led to Chigusa smashing on the Jonathan and again sending the two of them going through another floor.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Chigusa slammed Jonathan on roof and slamming him down on the ground.
Chigusa forced the dizzied Jonathan to his feet and delivered a palm strike to his chest, right on where his heart is.
Jonathan's human heart was pressed between the internal armor of his cyborg body being pushed inward Chigusa's attack, causing it to momentarily stop, killing any chances of retaliation from Jonathan.
As her opponent vomited a lot of blood as he stood, Chigusa drew her sword that she kept sheathed the entire fight. She slowly pulled out her sword from her scabbard, revealing its jet black blade that ominously gleams.
She entered a gotatsu stance, with her hands grabbing the near end of her sword's hilt.
With a nearly demonic voice Chigusa uttered the name of her technique.
"Orimura-ryu ougi: Jigoku no Ame…"
Chigusa dashed towards her near dying opponent with her sword in the lead.
Then…
Several explosions of violent wind blasts blew out on one side of the building, creating a gaping hole.
Then from the dust and smoke of the ruined building, came out Chigusa with her opponent skewered on her sword.
Chigusa came out of the higher floors of the building and are out to take a drop of 300 meters to the concrete ground below.
(BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM)
An explosion occurred right on the foot of the building.
Fires and smoke filled the area.
But from inside the blast area, emerging from the smoke is Chigusa who is still giggling eerily whilst holding a bloody Katana.
"Gehehehehehehehehe!"
Putting on a hand on her forehead, Chigusa began to laugh again.
"Ahahahaha….hahahaha… hahaha… guh… ahahaaaahhaaa!"
All of a sudden, Chigusa began flailing her sword as if she was in pain.
Soon her laughs began to turn to screams of pain.
Chigusa raged around while grasping both sides of her head, as if in serious pain.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
With one loud roar, Chigusa finally settled down.
She took in a few heavy breathes before her body state turned to normal.
"Geez… [Insanity Overload] is so hard to control…" Chigusa said with nasty grin.
She straightened herself after a few minutes of resting.
"If I prolonged that state any further… I would've gone insane completely…" Chigusa sheathed her sword and stood up.
"I guess I need more training…" A satisfied smirk appeared on Chigusa's face.
Before leaving Chigusa looked back at the remains of her opponent, a few scorched scraps of metal and burned cyborg parts and the horribly mutilated body of her opponent.
"Cyborg huh… Tch!"
Displeased of the outcome of her battle, Chigusa sneered at the remains of her opponent before leaving like nothing happened.
(Scene Change)
Not far from the venue of Chigusa's battle, from one of the high risers, Chisaya fired against the building right next to the building she is currently in.
"That's it! Run! Run! Run! Weakling! Ahahahahahahaha!"
Sadictically delighted, Chisaya barraged the building where her opponent is hiding with her two powerful pistols.
The explosive rounds of her pistols littered the building with explosions.
"What's the matter? No more bullets."
Chisaya targeted a small ruptured gas pipe in one of the lower floors.
She pulled the trigger; the bullet came out of the barrel and hit the leaking pipe.
An explosion destroyed the lower building, leading to the upper floor where her enemy is, to slowly tilt towards the edge.
"Hmmm?" Chisaya looked up to the 34th floor, where she saw a shadow of her opponent.
"You're quite slippery!"
Chisaya broke one of the glass windows and stepped out of the narrow ledge lining the window.
A gunshot resounded from somewhere.
The bullet from the unknown gun hit the wall near Chisaya and created a large hole on it.
"You don't seem to understand what aim is cyborg boy."
Chisaya quickly located the position of her opponent with just one scanning of the surrounding floors.
"There you are."
Explosive rounds caused destructive detonations on the floor where the sniper is.
"Guh!"
Bradley, who was in the receiving end of the explosive barrage, pulled away from his position.
His left arm that is currently in the form of a .50 caliber sniper, returned back into the form of a cyborg hand.
"This is bad… to think that a cyborg like me would be no match against a normal human."
Bradley's state today was far off from his state before his battle with Chisaya.
After sustaining a lot of hits from his opponent from the next building, he cyborg parts that received those hits are now dented and damaged; his natural body also received bullet wounds.
However despite all that, Bradley is still able to continue fighting only because of the morphine administered by his cybernetic body.
"I have to call for back-up… Lightning can definitely turn things around…"
Bradley opened the communicator of his left arm and tried to contact his allies, but the one that spoke to him was not his allies but his enemy on the building next to him.
[It seems that you're at the end of your tethers Mr. Cyborg…]
Bradley widened his eyes when it was his enemy's voice that answered his call for help.
[The whole city is basically cut off from the outside world and also it completely jams all kinds of communication around Kirov.]
Chisaya from the other line sounded really pleased when she spoke.
"No matter about that… even if I can't contact them… my allies down under the Kirov fortress shall still come up here… do you think you can fight all the forces of the Vellamont family who are all enhanced cybernetic humans?"
Confident, Bradley retorted.
[Oh? Them? You mean the rest of you family… I think that all of you will be too busy to aid you here… when they have my other sisters to deal with…]
Bradley grinded his teeth in frustration, he was preparing to attack again.
But…
[Don't worry though cyborg… you won't have to fight back anymore… I'll personally send you to the depths of hell… with your cyborg body as your coffin.]
During the last sentence, Chisaya's voice immediately changed and sounded really demonic.
Bradley stood up and saw Chisaya standing right on the same floor in his in.
Chisaya's pointed at Bradley and then…
"Bang."
Bradley was not even able to react, in just a matter of a second; a huge gaping hole was found on Bradley's chest.
"What… happened…?"
Not even seeing how it happened, Bradley just fell back and die instantly.
"Be honored… you just die in the hands of an Orimura under the effects of [Insanity Overload]…"
With a creepy sound voice that sounded like a collection of voices speaking together, Chisaya grinned cruelly at the body of her dead opponent.
(Scene Change)
With Chigusa and Chisaya finished with their opponents, Chifuyu who detected it sighed out as she glanced towards her battered opponent.
Beatrice Vellamont, who was not too long ago stood as one of Vellamont's crowning achievement, is now kneeling on the ground, almost dead.
She took a solid blow to the chest which destroyed her internal armor and sent some shards of it stabbing her heart and lungs.
She was barely holding on to life with the life-support system of her cybernetic body preserving her last remnants of life.
"….."
Chifuyu glanced at her half-dead opponent with her cold, expressionless eyes.
"It seems that there is no reason to continue this non-sense. Your cyborg body in the end is as fragile as a human's body. It made no difference at all." Chifuyu walked towards her opponent and while slowly unsheathing her pure white Katana.
"… I hope you understood the difference between us now… regale this to your dead relatives when you meet them in hell."
Chifuyu's body began to emit a powerful white aura.
Her eyes turned completely white.
"Orimura-ryu Ougi: Jōshō Yuki"
Entering an Iaido stance, Chifuyu sheathed back her Katana in its scabbard and then drawing it out in godlike speed in an upward slash.
The white color of Chifuyu's Katana made a momentary white rising streak in the air.
The aftermath was Beatrice bifurcated from bottom up.
Both halves of her body fell at the same time, staining the floor with blood, innards and cybernetic parts.
Chifuyu whipped her sword, removing the blood stain on it; she then sheathed it back to its white scabbard.
"Now, the surface resistance is over. All other resistance is irrelevant, only the leader remains." Chifuyu walked towards the center of the city where she will meet up with her two sisters; Chigusa and Chisaya.
(Scene Change)
Outside the city.
Having finished their own task; Misaki, Yuuko and Saya are walking together towards the ruined entrance of Kirov.
"Sheesh the battle here is over already. What a bore." Saya whined loudly while crossing both her arms in irritation.
"It can't be helped… Chifuyu, Chigusa and Chisaya must've gone overboard again."Misaki, whilst carrying her giant ax, said without any traces of expression on her face.
"Even so, they should have at least left us some. Especially for me since the only thing I managed to butcher back there are civilians." Saya with her displeasure growing growled out her words.
"Nee-san… you and Saya go on without me…"
Misaki looked towards her little sister, barely changing her expression.
"And where are you planning to run off to?"
"Just found some fleeing rats…"
Yuuko grinned cruelly.
"Civilians huh? Well you go and help yourself; I'm not in to torturing weaklings." Saya dismissively said as she went straight to the ruined gates of Kirov.
"… Try not to take too long…"
Misaki just turned around and walked after Saya.
Alone, Yuuko smiled to herself as she pulled out a ton of Kunais and Shurikens from her back.
"Now how will I play with the weak… maybe… Hide and Seek?"
Yuuko's fang like teeth showed as she made an even bigger grin.
