(3 years ago)

Michael made his way to the seats reserved for him and his friends, "Man this is really happening, I can't believe Kei's not even here to see this, he'd be shook."

Aedan was the last to take his seat, never once taking his eyes off the field where both competitors stood, "She's ready, her powers have grown increasingly, almost unmatched I'd say."

"Unmatched as in say….me not having any chance if I ever decide to go up against her if she does become champion?" asked Michael curiously.

"Unmatched meaning, if you go up against her, she might leave you broken…..." his words left a haunting presence hovering over them, especially Michael who gave some thought to his friends words.

"You beat me….but that doesn't mean anything, I was caught off guard in the moment." scoffed the older male in quick retaliation. Sora, the current champion of Imperial was a fourth year, an intimidating opponent no doubt. Six four, bulky with sculpted arms and a body, his piercing green eyes had no effect on Blair which left him surprised, a usual response from a female would have been a sigh and swooning motion towards him, but not her, she had her mind on other things. His black shaggy locks couldn't be tamed, a trait that matched him well as he was known throughout the school to be an opponent with vicious beastly characteristics, more so than one would of course expect from a beast holder.

"Funny, a champion should always keep their guard up no matter what, that is what we're set to example for the rest of the school." she answered back nonchalantly.

There was clear visibility of his irritation by her comment, "Listen princess, don't think you're all high and mighty just because you got a few hits in, cuz guess what, that ain't happening again, got it?"

"We'll see." she directed her eyes over to the row where Michael and the others were, specifically locking eyes with Aedan for a quick moment before directing them back to her opponent.

"Are you both ready?" asked Ina waiting for their responses.

Blair nodded, while her opponent flicked his hand, "Yeah yeah just call it."

She rose her hand up in the air, calling for the match to begin, "Good luck to you both."

Ina had strolled very closely and slowly past Blair, muttering just a few words for only her to hear, "Try not to kill him."

A slight smirk appeared on the corner of Blair's lip, startling her opponent who became defensive just seconds after, "What are you smiling about?" he scoffed.

"This is it." muttered Lucille nervously.

"Wipe that smirk off your face, you haven't seen anything yet." snarled the champion, seven red dots formed in a circular pattern had appeared on his forehead, something which got Blair curious.

Aedan's brow rose up too, *That didn't happen the last time he and Blair fought, what's he up to?*

"Surprised?" he laughed out loud in a mocking tone.

"A little." she answered back still in a calm mindset.

"You should be afraid instead, you thought you saw the real me that other time? Well you're wrong, There's something you should know about me, and that's that I've been under the mentorship of one of Imperials strongest guards, Kukaku, the legendary rock warrior….." Steel armor began growing over his body, eventually coating him from head to toe, the red dots began blinking, forming a black steel band all across his eyes and forehead leaving only his nose to breath and his mouth visible to speak. His hair was no longer black but it had dissolved into a steel shade that actually glistened when the sunlight hit it.

A smirk curved up on one side of his lips, "...well surprise! I'm the legendary warrior of steel!"

"HA!" he struck his steel fist into the ground, sending a wave of brutal vibrations running across the field, the entire floor began crumbling from beneath while the seats of the stadium began swaying to the vibrations.

She was hit head on, being sent crashing against the wall which broke down upon impact, she held in her groan and urge to scream from the brutal pain she just endured, instead she chose to remain silent, *Well he's not wrong, I haven't seen that fusion of his, he was smart to keep this beast a secret.*

Aedan remained quiet, shocked by the destructive yet impressive power Sora demonstrated before everybody in the stadium, *I've heard tales of an Imperial guard named Kukaku, she possesses the essence of a legendary warrior beast, one of three, the other two being steel and ice, their armor is said to be indestructible that no human or beast has ever been able to get past it, I just can't believe this bastard possesses the second warrior…. Blair…...I know you're strong….but will you be able to get past this?*

They wasted no time as they shot and charged towards one another at full speed, both of them leaving a heavy dragged trail behind. They clashed fists, unleashing a powerful wave of gust as both attacks clashed.

"Not bad." he groaned, pulling away only to dodge the two strikes she tried to land on his chest stomach, she ran towards him once more, disappearing and reappearing in different spots to confuse him.

"Where'd she go-" she appeared behind him, striking her foot against his back which sent him crashing to the floor, not even a second later she broke through from under the ground, landing an uppercut which sent him racing up into the air.

"Agh! You sneaky bitch!" she appeared above him, using the whips of her air to trap him in a coil, sending him racing across the arena and crashing through into the wall. She picked him up once more, pulling him in where she landed a clean hit to his face, piercing him straight down into the ground.

"AGH!" she came racing down the air, now shifting position so her left knee was pointing down at him, it began to glow, releasing a fiery blue aura.

He moved just in time to avoid the devastating attack which broke through into the ground, she flinched, having hurt her knee from the impact. "Impressive, but not good enough to beat me!"

She groaned when he had grabbed her by the neck from behind, now lifting her off her feet, his hand tightened around her neck, squeezing every breath out of her.

"Mngh….." she shakingly lifted both of her hands up, her head was beginning to feel light, immediately she clapped her hands together, releasing a powerful vibration which separated and blew them both back, something which she used to her advantage as she used her feet to bounce off the wall and shoot straight towards Sora.

"Gah!" he had coughed out his own spit from force when she landed a kick to his torso, sending them both crashing into the wall. But it wasn't enough to take him down, he was still standing, and now full with rage.

He slammed both of his fists down onto the ground, causing a deadly earthquake to stir up, the vibrations were quick to race over to her, "Not bad, now let me show you what I can do."

She pierced her hands into the ground, leaving her opponent baffled as he saw her absorb the vibrations of his earthquake, "No….that can't be…"

A smirk appeared on her lips when she pulled both of her hands out from the ground, immediately the earthquake had stopped and all the audience was left to witness was the red blinking glow her arms had.

"Ah!" she threw her fist forward, releasing a blast of air towards him, the attack caused a loud screeching sound to bounce off from his metal which was scratching from the harsh vibrations.

She charged after him this time, striking her palm against his armored chest, unleashing more of the held vibrations she absorbed earlier onto him, "GAH!" the screeching was unbearable for him, his armor was beginning to shake and vibrate viciously.

"Now." she whispered, engulfing her fists in a blue energy, she grabbed a hold of the plated armor on his shoulders, holding a tight grip as she began her attempt to pry the metal off.

"AAGH!" she was using her full strength to try to pull the armor apart while he was still paralyzed from the continuous vibrations still holding him down.

"S-she's trying to break his armor off! Is she nuts?!" yelled Alain.

"But look…" said Lucille, referring to the left shoulder armor that was beginning to come loose.

"N-no! My armor is indestructible!" he broke free from his paralyzed state, grabbing Blair from her neck and throwing her far across the field.

"G-guh…" she groaned out as she crashed into the wall, she grabbed onto her neck, flinching as he left a deepening red mark on it from his grip seconds earlier.

"You really think you can break my armor? Idiot!" he shot his hands into the ground, breaking off a huge piece of concrete which he threw towards her.

She broke through it with her fist, now glaring at the champion, "I almost did, and I can try again and succeed."

He gritted down on his teeth, but then let out a breath of air, suddenly relaxing, "Lock on."

"Huh-" she was confused only to realize that steel wires shot up from the ground, now chaining her legs and wrists, she tried to pull but the force was too much, she was a prisoner.

"W-what the-..." she tried to pull, managing to break one wire off only for another to take its place, it dragged her down by force, now making her land on her knees as another cable shot up and wrapped itself around her neck, now pulling her down more.

His lips formed up into a devious grin, he held his palm out towards her, in the center a yellow beam of light had appeared now growing in size in a matter of seconds.

"Ngh…..Agh!" she kept trying to break free, her eyes widened as he released a blinding beam of light with blue rings around it, now striking her as she screamed from within his attack.

Her screams were echoing throughout the stadium, the entire audience was blinded by the attack, and then blown away by the devastating explosion that ignited right after. Many had stood up to look on past the dark cloud of smoke that engulfed the field, hoping to see what happened with Blair.

"Heh." a satisfied smirk appeared on his lips only to fade right after when he saw his opponent still kneeling, he thought for sure she would have been done for.

"How…..how could she have survived that?" asked Alain in shock.

She was still strapped down by the wires, her entire body was flashing red with steam coming out of her, she looked worn down, with holes having been burned into her clothes, scratches and fresh cuts now opened onto her skin, yet she still refused to go down.

He was breathing heavily, unable to contain his frustration as he slammed his foot down onto the ground once more, stirring up a third massive quake, this one much stronger than the last.

"W-whoa! What the hell is he doing?!" shouted Lucille, she held onto the arm rest of her seat, hanging on as tight as she could so she wouldn't be thrown off.

Michael was visibly stunned, hanging onto his seat as well as trying to figure out Sora's next plan of attack, "He's panicking, she's got him rethinking his whole strategy, I've never seen him like this."

"How can you still be standing!" he shouted, he stomped his heel onto the ground, raising up a strip of concrete to race over to her.

"Hmph!" she jumped upwards, dragging the steel cables along which extended forcefully with her strength, she twisted in mid air, manipulating the wires to coil around him and now trap him as well.

"Fool!" he broke free, not realizing that he had also broken her free as well, but with it he quickly took a leap forward, using one of the broken wires to whip her down onto the ground.

"Blair!" her friends flinched as they had heard how gruesome the hit he planted on her sounded.

She stood up, stumbling forward before catching herself and catching the menacing eyes now glowering down at her from the champion, he extended one arm out which had shape shifted into a razored sword, "You got balls I'll give you that, but I don't care if you're a girl, when you challenge for the crown of champion, all limits are off!

A sneaky smirk appeared on her lips, "I'm not going to lie, you are stronger than what I imagined, but don't think that because you're a male and I'm female that there's a difference in strength, because I can break you in two if I wanted to." she took a step only to collapse, now holding herself up by one knee to the floor, her chest felt tight as she was beginning to find herself struggling to breathe.

*I shouldn't have expected anything less from the champion I suppose, this fusion of his is much more challenging, but what do I do now? I feel my energy draining fast, at this rate I'll lose all my strength.*

"That's where you're wrong you see, because I am stronger than you, much stronger." he swiped his arm across.

"Look out!" Shouted Michael, shooting up from his seat with Aedan as the crowd gasped. A giant steel beam shot out from below the ground, piercing Blair right into the wall with no chance of escape, she had forcefully coughed blood out, now flailing around as she was still pinned up against the wall, the steel beam now crushing her stomach as it pressed in harder.

The steel beam pulled back only for a second one to shoot out from behind her through the wall, sending her racing across the field where Sora quickly appeared. He tried piercing his sword into her only to miss when she jumped on the tip of his blade, bouncing off of it.

"Wrong move!" he was just as swift, appearing right in front of Blair where he landed a direct punch to her jaw, a hit she took head on as her body was sent pummeling to the ground in a deepened crater. She bellowed out in pain as she refused to go down, however her body felt like it had been broken into pieces, the pain had become unbearable, more so she felt like she'd rather die now than to continue feeling it.

"I-ina…." she was still flat on the ground, now staring voidlessley up at the sky, her body felt like it had reached its limit, she had no energy to even lift a finger.

"Get up." whispered Ina to herself, but not low enough as Chase had heard, still facing the arena only with a tiny smirk now plastered on his lips.

"Have you given up?!" he laughed mockingly.

"Blair! Get up!" shouted Aedan, standing up from his seat as he called out to her. The rest of the gang looked on at him and then towards the still paralyzed girl, looks of worryness and terror appeared on them all, was this the end?

"...Ina…" she whimpered out, she felt a sharp pain in her chest, coughing out right after only to spit up more blood, her eyes faded down, closing fully as everything in her mind began to empty out.

*First and foremost, you are my successor, which means you will inherit the strength of the one hundred mega seal, a power only those with great energy control can master and unleash, Blair, you are my one and only student, you have the strength of one hundred*

"GET UP! BLAIR!" he kept shouting, this time causing Michael and Alain to put a stop to his loud outburst.

"Let me go!" he shouted.

"Aedan calm down!"

Lucille interrupted them now pointing to the field, "Look!"

"…..I'm ready." she slowly and cautiously got back on her feet, still with her head lowered as she wiped the blood from her mouth away with her arm. Whispers filled the arena as a yin yang symbol appeared briefly beneath her feet only to quickly fade away. Dark purple streak like markings appeared from the center of her forehead, running down from both of her eyes and down to her neck and across her arms. Her purple hair had rose up and twisted into one giant magenta colored flame.

"Is that a new fusion?" asked Alain, confused and stunned at the same time.

"I...i don't know, but even from here I could feel the heavy energy she's emitting.." shuddered Michael, unable to rid his body of the feeling.

Every step she took released a small vibration that forced the chunks of concrete to dissolve into dust beneath her, she held her right fist out, letting a collection of that same magenta energy to bundle up into her palm.

"AGH!" she rose her fist up, bringing it back down into a single explosive shot, one that shook the entire floor beneath the whole stadium, lifting the earth up into a pool of broken concrete that all dissolved at the same time into dust particles, she could sense the fear now growing in him.

"What monstrous strength….it might just be even greater than yours." said Chase.

Ina smirked only for a second before going deadpanned like before, "She's my protege, but even so, she's still got a long way to go before she reaches maximum capacity, this just makes for good practice."

"W-what the hell are you?" he asked while taking a step back.

"I'm the champion!" she charged forward, only to stop, eyes wide as the entire audience filled with screams.

He had pierced his sword right through into her stomach, shocking the entire audience who screamed and gasped from the sight of blood heavily dripping out from her stab, a sly smirk formed on his lips as he inched closer to her ear whispering "Psych."

Ina's eyes widened, Chase was also surprised, more so by the blondes expression however, if she reacted to a situation, then it must be serious.

"Blair!" cried out Lucille, covering her mouth with both hands as she was still in shock by the scene.

"NO!" Aedan ran for the edge of the wall, attempting to jump it and interfere in the match but he had been stopped and tackled down by both Michael and Alain.

"You bastard!" he shouted, being forced down on the ground by both of his friends.

Sora laughed, "Woops! I guess I went a little too far, guess that's what happens when you mess with the champion and don't know your place."

She shakingly moved her head up to face him, she furrowed her brows at him, lifting her hand up, but not into a fist, instead out into a flat palm. She brought it down onto the sword, breaking it off and separating herself from the champion, "WHAT THE-"

"B-blair…" Aedan's eyes remained wide open, as did the rest of the gangs who were still processing what just happened.

"Ina-" Chase moved closer to the edge of the balcony, looking back at his partner who also seemed stunned by the young girls solution.

"Y-you think that's going to stop me?!" she bellowed out while punching the broken half of his sword out from her stomach.

He took a step back, baffled by what she had just done, "N-no…..this isn't right…...how!"

"My turn!" she held both hands out, forming them both into fists as they were swallowed in a purple flaming aura. She ran full speed towards Sora who was too slow to prepare for her incoming attack. She landed the first hit to his chest, then the second to his stomach, and a third to his face, repeating each hit over.

"She's too fast! I can barely tell where she's hitting him!" gaped Lucille.

"A-agh! My armor can't be brok-" he stopped midway, now feeling that she was beginning to dent his armor, how, this armor was supposed to be legendary, a metal like no other on earth, just who was this girl, better yet, what was she?

He managed to pull away, swiping his hand across as he threw a row of sharp blades to his opponent who dodged them, he kept throwing them, this time however she spun around, grabbing two of the blades and throwing them back at him which he caught, "Is that the best you got?"

He whipped his head upwards, seeing her coming down with a heavy foot which he blocked, a strike that sent him skidding across the ground where he then did a backflip, avoiding another deadly punch from her. She appeared next to him this time, gliding beneath where she kicked her foot up, striking him right under the jaw and sending him racing up into the air.

"I won't get beaten by you!" he shouted, sensing Blair who appeared behind him this time, his arm shaped itself into a large blade which he brought around with a spin, almost cutting his opponent who kicked the air to jump higher and avoid his sword.

She shot back down, doing a sideways barrel roll to strike her foot against his head, only this time he caught it in time, swinging her back down where he chased after her, jabbing his fist directly into her chest and pummeling her into the ground.

"Ngh." she wasted no time, kicking her knee up into his armored gut which threw him off and let her shoot up for the air again, she flinched however as the stab wound was beginning to take its toll on her. She turned around quickly, widening her arms as dozens of blue aura spheres appeared now raining down on the stadium.

Steel pillars rose up from the ground now sealing him within a small fort which took on all of her attacks, dealing heavy dents, but not enough to break through. She landed back on the ground, clutching her wound with one hand, calmly walking over only to stop several feet away.

Her eyes landed on the broken piece of the sword he stabbed her with earlier that she pulled out, she picked it up, now engulfing the piece of metal with her energy which caused it to grow in size. "Come out and fight!" she shouted, slamming her foot on the ground which caused another earthquake, a powerful one enough to disarm his steel fort.

"Heh, whenever you're ready." he smirked, holding two enlarged blades in his hands, these were tripled in size, almost as big as her.

They clashed furiously like before, swinging at one another only for the other to avoid or block their opponents hit. He crossed both swords towards her causing her to duck below with a spin, using her foot to sweep and trip him down which worked.

"Ha!" she shot up with a spin, bringing her sword down on him which he avoided with a roll, he flung one of his swords towards her which she missed with a backflip, now throwing her own at him which he caught, stabbing it deep into the ground.

"When it comes to blades I'm a master, no use in fighting it!" he shouted, hundreds of steel blades shot up from the ground, forcing her to jump into the air to avoid being pierced.

She was still in mid air, twisting to avoid all the blades he began aiming at her, she caught one with her foot, focusing a chunk of energy to the sole of her foot to manipulate and spin the blade. She kicked it back down at him, using it as a distraction to get him to stop his ambush.

"I'm not going to lose, especially not to you." she whispered, shooting back down at full speed, her body was flaming up in energy even more. It was too fast for him to retaliate with, instead the blades across the field all shape shifted into one round fort to protect him.

She screamed out in rage, striking her fist down on the metal fort, clashing with its legendary stability, the aura around her fist continued growing, eventually spreading around the fort.

"She's not going to break it." Alain shook his head.

"She has to." mumbled Aedan.

"I…...have…..to!" she released, now panting as she shot up into the air, everyone followed as she reached the very top, passing just above the open ceiling of the stadium. The whips in her hair extended out, there were hundreds of them now piercing themselves into the ground and pulling the steel fort from out of the ground and hovering it above inches of the floor.

She scrunched her face in pain, looking down at her stomach where she placed her hand, she was still bleeding, alot. "I need to end this."

Her whips began wrapping the steel fort, enclosing Sora within who screamed in panic, "W-what's going on!"

Everyone's ears popped from the loud booming sound she released upon racing down, they could see the soundwaves trail behind from when she moved still lingering. She quickly shifted positions, now aiming her right foot down which was coated in that same magenta energy.

Everything had gone by so quick, before they knew it Sora was struck into the ground, buried deep within a crater as his steel fort had been sliced into two, more so, his legendary armor had been destroyed. Blair was the only one standing on the other side of the field with her back turned to the champion. She turned her head back at him, seeing the wreck she had left him in. He was unable to stand as he found that his broken steel armor had pierced all over into his body, "Y-you're not like us…...you're….a monster." he coughed out, a pool of blood growing beneath him which had unfazed Blair.

"No." she turned around.

She brought her leg up and quickly slammed it down, causing one last quake to stir the earth below them, the ground had split into one giant fissure, swallowing up all the broken rubble while simultaneously releasing a deadly blast of white energy all across the field, trapping her opponent who cried and screamed from within the calamity.

"I'm the champion."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~The sleeping Crystal Act ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Attention!"
All eyes were on Lucille as the entire hall was silenced, she stood on the balcony of the champion's quarters along with the other muses, making sure they had the entire student body's undivided attention.
"What's this about?" asked Alain, walking in with Michael's help, the current Ruby had almost fully healed from his previous injuries.
Nate and Scott were amongst the crowd too, also guessing what the big announcement was going to be, "Has anyone seen Kei?"
Michael looked around, "Now that you mention it, I haven't seen Aedan either."
Javier had approached them from behind, along with Hector who crossed his arms, "Chaos and Xentus aren't anywhere around here either, what's going on with that?"
Alain sighed, shaking his head along in distress, "Things are really changing here, and it's not even small changes, they're all noticeable."
"What do you mean?" asked Michael with a frown, although Alain was right, he wanted him to find the positive rather than the negative.
"Blair….she's not ok….there's no champion looking after our school which is still in recovery after what Eve did, Nero lost his title on accident…..I just…..I'm not a fan of huge changes, and I hate myself for not having been able to do anything…..I was just a weakling resting in bed."
He tried reassuring his friend, giving him a slight nudge and comforting smile, "You're not weak, you were still in recovery and had no choice…...look…...I know you're not happy about what's happening with Imperial…...but Blair made a huge sacrifice to save us and the school, and with it came a price, but I know she would never regret having made this decision, and it's unfortunate with Nero losing his title, but even he's not letting it tear him down, and neither should you."
"I guess you're right." he muttered, still feeling down but trying to push through with Michael's advice.
"I know we're all in distress about the unfortunate incident involving our former champion Blair, but as a leader, one must make decisions and sacrifices for their fellow students, Blair was not careless as to leave us without a champion, no, she left us with five."
"What?" there was now talk amongst the crowd, everyone wondering what she meant exactly by five.
Rouge, Aura, and Scarlett silenced the crowd once more to allow Lucille to continue speaking, "That's right, Blair's final act of words would be the names of the five students she deemed worthy enough to become her successor, these five contenders will stand before us all in the ring. They will fight with every bit of strength in their body and only one will emerge as our new champion and crystal, so please, welcome all, the five subchampions of Imperial!"
Students watching had dropped jaws upon witnessing the deemed contenders of Blair's choice who stepped up onto the Podium to join the muses, Jun, Kei, Aedan, Xentus, and Chaos, "Are you serious?!" gaped Nate.
Scott fixed his glasses, "Blair has excellent taste, not only did she pick the most powerfully ranked students, but also the most fearless, however, each one has a downplayed strength that might ruin their chances in the tournament."
"How are you all feeling?" asked Scarlett.
"Nervous." one answered.
"Pumped." sighed another.
"Anxious." they said.
There was no response from Kei, he kept quiet, now facing the ground below as he was deep in thought, "Kei?"
"It's no use." Aedan shook his head.
"He's barely spoken at all since the incident with Blair, and I don't blame him." he sighed, feeling an aching pain in his chest as his memories recalled back to the comatosed former champion.
Jun scoffed, "She shouldn't have done what she did, it was a foolish mistake and look where that's gotten her." he said carelessly.
"What did you say?!" there was an immediate spark of gasps from the crowd as they witnessed Kei grab Jun and push him against the balcony, a sight to those below who thought he was ready to throw him over the rail.
"Stop it!" barked Rouge, grabbing a hold of Kei's shirt as she attempted to pull him away, although it proved to be a challenge as he stood his ground.
"Kei enough!" yelled Aedan, looking back to see the distressed faces of the students looking up at them from below.
There was no hesitation from her, Lucille immediately stepped in between both males, she grabbed Kei's arms and forcefully yanked them away from Jun whom she looked back at with a venomous leer, "Not today, you two will not do this today…..Blair was my best friend, and you will not ruin her reputation and decision of choosing you two idiots as her possible successors, so….if you want to beat the crap out of each other then do it in the ring, otherwise, get yourselves together and get the hell out of here."
The rest of the onlookers watched in surprise at the Muse leaders response, she said nothing afterwards but instead left a grim filled aura from her silent exit, but it was clear why she acted in such a way, visibly she was showing pain, sorrow, and grief for the loss of her close friend.
"Michael." said Alain, looking over at his friend who nodded, both of them automatically knowing what they had to do, they had to go and comfort Lucille, they had to make sure she was ok and let her know they would be there for her.
It was Rouge's turn this time as she took center stage on the balcony, "This announcement is over, get back to your activities and we will shortly post notice of the upcoming champion's match details, that is all!"
(THE MATCH YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR)
The crowd cheered and applauded upon her presence at center stage, "The following match is for the vacant title of Imperial Champion and for the rank of Crystal, with five contenders standing in this very sacred arena that has produced every champion in this school's history, who will come out being King!"
"Are you all ready?" asked Lucille, looking at each male individually to get a corresponding response.
"Yes". they all nodded and agreed simultaneously.
She held two fingers up for them to open up the stadium's glass ceiling, allowing for the natural light to come in, "May the best fighter win."
"That'll be me, 17 times that girl defended her title against me, I was hoping the day I become champion it will be because I beat her, but I guess this will do for now." muttered Kei (Flygon) transforming himself into his second form, the second form he rarely ever used unless the occasion called for it, and it most definitely did. He was no longer bonded with weavile at the moment, no, instead he had called out his second beast, the beast he keeps hidden, his inner dragon, Flygon. With his snow-white hair now turning green and a pair of red goggles now settled on top, it was time to release his scaly wings, blowing a harsh gust onto the field and onto the other males who quickly caught onto the dangerous razor scales now protecting Kei as armor.
Chaos (Gengar) scoffed in response of Kei's declaration, his demon was coming out, shrouding the green haired boy in total darkness, his negative aura already taking a toll on the other competitors, his beast was awake and it was hungry for blood, "Dream on punk, I've been at this title for years now, it sucks what happened to Blair, but now it's time for me to finally take my rightful place as Imperials Champion."
Xentus (Zoroark) lowered his head for a moment, allowing his hair to grow an increasing amount, red blood colored streaks appeared on the sides of his long wild raven mane, his eyes became so golden, so ferocious and aggressive, that negative aura was now competing against Chaos's, somewhat overshadowing it which left him stunned, "I didn't know Blair like how you guys did, but if she chose me to fight up here alongside you who have all already been deemed champion level competitors, then I will give it my all and try not to disappoint her."
Jun (Honchkrow) tilted his head forward while also tipping his black feather hat in respect for the fallen former champion, his wings had begun to sprout out, leaving the entire arena in a short moment of awe at its captivating dark beauty, "I'm only doing this because I owe her".
Aedan (Blastoise) was the only one turned away from the group, now gazing out towards the full stadium, thousands of eyes just staring down at him and his competitors, he dropped his arms to his sides, letting them slowly transform into his signature cannons, the weapons no one talks about, but nearly everyone in school feared in secrecy, "No one's heart is really in it like mines…...If anyone is going to succeed Blair, it'll be me."
Alain took in a deep breath, "It's really happening….Blair's really not here….and real soon, we'll have a new champion."
Michael gripped his friends shoulder softly for comfort, "I know, but in the end whoever wins, I know he will be just as good a champion as she was, she always had exquisite taste, so choosing these five guys wasn't something she thought up of lightly."
Nate and Scott scored seats at the very front, excited to see there friend taking part in a legendary event, a crowning match, "A five man crowning match, I know Kei is strong, but will he be ok going up against four more competitors?" asked Scott somewhat worried.
Nate laughed on the other hand, offering a piece of candy to the younger male who refused, "Man there's still a lot you need to learn about Kei, that guy is an irresistible force, everytime he stepped into that ring with Blair and lost, he came back even stronger, 17 rematches later, and he doesn't plan to stop, he will never stop growing."
"Let's hope that's true." he whispered.
Just behind them in the second row were Styles and Aaron, "How's Aura doing?"
The green eyed boy shrugged, "Better, though I don't blame her for being so guarded recently, before she was enslaved by that crazy chick Eve, we had just had an encounter with someone mysterious."
Styles looked at him quizzically, "Mysterious?"
Aaron nodded, "He called himself Y, I don't know what he wanted or where he even came from, but he was strong…..really strong as much as I hate to admit it, and right before an ally of his came, Aura casted a spell on him…." he looked annoyed at the next part he was going to say.
"...through a kiss….she said something about his heart now belonging to her, whatever that means."
"Captivate." Styles quickly answered back.
"Captivate?" said the other male confusingly.
Styles nodded, "It's starting to make sense now."
"What is?" he asked, now pressuring his friend to explain.
"Captivate is a deadly move and quite controversial if I remember correctly, it is learned and mastered only by a few, if used incorrectly, the end results can be fatal."
He was still not understanding, "Styles, what are you saying?"
His friend sighed, "Captivate allows the transfer of emotions between the user and the victim, when that happens, the victim immediately develops feelings of love towards the caster, in this case, this Y guy has now fallen in love with Aura, deeply in love in which just to satisfy her, he will comply with every one of her wishes and demands, she has control over him, so long as she continues captivating him, however….. when love goes unresponded, those feelings can turn violent, meaning he will be back, demanding affection and a similar response of love from Aura, and if she refuses, he will act in rage, not just towards her, but anyone he deems a threat or love rival."
Aaron quickly looked up towards the balcony, catching a clear view of Aura who was leaning out staring down at the field, "What have you done?" he whispered.
(Up above)
Rouge stood by on the balcony along with Scarlett and Aura, the three of them watching anxiously as they hoped the match would start soon. "I don't like any of those guys." scoffed Rouge in a disapproving head shake.
Aura lowered her head with her eyes closed, "You don't like any of them because of the fact that they are all fighting for the spot that rightfully belongs to Blair….who's gone."
"She's not gone." Scarlett said abruptly, leaving both of the other muses shook by her sudden raised voice.
She had calmed down quickly after, "I-i'm sorry…...it's just….I'd like to believe that Blair is not entirely gone…...she's just….resting."
Both of them frowned, taking notice of how much more the younger muse was affected by Blair's sudden absence, "Scarlett…" muttered Rouge.
The young muse quickly shook her head, taking on a more stern facial expression, "Are you just going to keep spying on us or are you going to come out?"
Aura and Rouge were confused at first, but quickly realized that Scarlett had sensed Victor's presence by the door immediately, he walked in with visible hesitation, "I didn't mean to eavesdrop-"
Rouge scoffed, "Just like you didn't mean to unleash that crazy bitch Eve who terrorized the school and put our friend Blair into a coma?"
He could feel the direct shot of her words spear through into his chest, the hateful look Scarlett shot him only worsened his guilt, the only one who didn't seem to react negatively to him was Aura, though she watched silently, preferring to not interfere.
He frowned, taking in a deep breath as he scratched the back of his neck, "Guys…..I know there is nothing I can do to make up for what has happened, and I take full responsibility for the mess that I created when I helped Eve escape, I'm the reason why we have to have a new champion, and that Blair may never wake up again…..I can apologize over and over again…..and I know that will still never mend things between us…..but I truly am sorry, I know you hate me….and I hate myself too, I'll never be able to forgive myself….ever."
There was a gap of sudden silence and building awkwardness between the muses and Victor, he sighed, taking there siilence as an act of rejection towards his apology, "I understand….I'm sorry for bothering you….goodbye."
They watched him leave, with both Aura and Scarlett turning their attention back to the arena, "I don't know how much longer you guys can continue to hold him for blame, I know Victor was in the wrong for bringing Eve out, but he was just as much a victim as the rest of us, we all went through a traumatizing event together, and we're healing from it together as well….however…...he's suffering alone because he's refusing to heal and we're adding to that suffering, it shouldn't be like that, we should be helping one another…...that's what Blair would have wanted."
She noticed there was no response, turning her head slightly to see both Scarlett and Rouge staring in shock at her deep empowering words, "When did you suddenly get so wise?" scoffed Rouge with a slight brow raised.
Aura shrugged, "People change after surviving traumas, guess that's what happened to me."
Rouge threw her head back, "Dammit! I hate you!" she took off out the door.
Scarlett continued facing the arena, "It's not that I hate Victor or resent him for what he's done…..I just…..Blair saved me when I was on the verge of death, she brought me back as a whole new person, I was reborn….I just wish I could do the same with her…...I want to so badly help her…...and yet…..there's nothing we really can do except wait…..wait to see if she will ever come back to us."
She spotted him just in time, running at full speed with no intention of stopping, "HEY YOU!"
He spun around, unable to come up with anything as Rouge charged towards him with a punch, a strike so powerful it sent him just a couple inches up and through the air landing roughly onto the ground with a burning skid.
He was still in shock by her surprise attack, now sitting up as he cupped the side of his already swelling face, the pain becoming all too unbearable, god her hand must be made of steel he thought.
His eyes wandered up to see a pissed off Rouge, her breaths now coming out shaky, her chest rising up and down quicker than normal due to the explosive rage she so badly wanted to unleash on him, but amongst all the signs of anger she was showing, she revealed her pain too.
"I deserved that…..and so much more." he nodded in compliance, he wasn't going to fight her, nor was he going to go against the fact that he thought he deserved to be punished.
"Stop it!" she shouted, startling a now confused Victor.
"Stop it! Stop making yourself the victim!" she tackled him down, now pinning him to the ground as she grabbed his collar angrily, pulling his face upwards towards hers.
"R-rouge-"
She shook him forcefully, "You don't get to feel sorry for yourself! You just don't get to! You hear me?!"
His eyes widened when he noticed the tears welling up in her eyes, red they were, all from the force she had placed on herself to hold back her tears which she no longer could, they had to come out.
"You just….don't get to." she lowered her head, now leaning her face in towards his chest which she was still holding up through his collars, he could feel her warm tears soaking through into his shirt.
"Rouge…." he attempted to place his hand over on her head to stroke it and calm her down, but just inches as he got close, he stopped.
"Stop…..don't talk….just please….let me be like this for a few more minutes."
"Ok." he nodded, allowing her to continue crying silently on him.
(Moments later)
They were now sitting up against the wall, basking along with the quietness of the hall.
"I'm sorry…."
He looked over at the blonde who decided to turn her head away from him, avoiding as much eye contact as possible, "You're sorry? For what?" he asked.
"For punching you….beating you…" she muttered.
He cupped his now swelled up cheek, flinching as he felt a sharp sting on his wound, though he laughed it off hesitantly, "It's ok, I deserved that."
"No, you didn't" she quickly responded back defensively.
"You didn't deserve me punching you, and you didn't deserve the way we treated you back there."
His expression quickly dropped into a dark sorrowful one, "I did, it's like I said, none of this would have happened if I wasn't such an idiot."
"That's the thing….." she scoffed, now turning to face him.
"...it was bound to happen, Eve was waiting for the right person to manipulate, you were just there at the wrong place at the wrong time….if anything…..maybe….we should count this as a good thing….Eve was destroyed once and for all by someone as powerful as Blair…...what if this happened when Blair or none of us were around….do you think the results would have been the same? Do you think maybe Eve would have won? I sure as hell don't care or ever wish to find out….I guess….I'm just glad she's taken cared of now…...and future classes of Imperial are free from ever having to worry about someone like her, even if it costed us a friend in the end."
He formed a half smile, "I appreciate you trying to make me feel better, but…... the guilt will always be there, I know it was Blair's duty to protect the school and all of us….but if anybody should have faced the consequences…..it should have been me…..Blair should be here, awake and lively….while I should be on that bed."
Her eyes followed Victor as he got up from the ground, now dusting himself off, she followed right after, grabbing his wrist before he took another step, now facing him and looking into his eyes one more time, "Victor…..I don't hate you, and neither do the others…...we're just still…...healing, and you will too, and when you're ready to join us…...we'll be here."
There was a strong connection of gazes between them, his eyes then turned down to her hand still gripping his wrist, something she quickly took notice of and followed with a release, a tiny smile formed on his lips before fading, "Thank you."
A sigh slipped out of her lips as she watched Victor stroll down the hall before disappearing around the corner, "Blair will come back…..because you can't continue living with so much guilt." she mumbled to herself.
(Back to the Field)
"GO!" an alarm sounded off. Lucille struck her hand up as a signal, unbeknownst to them, this ignited the beginning of what would come to be one of the most legendary matches in Imperial.
It was chaos right from the start, Kei immediately went after Junbei, tackling him straight up as they began swerving in the air, attempting to overpower the other. Aedan pierced his cannons straight into the ground, flooding the ground below with pressurized water causing geysers to break through and shoot upwards, sinking the entire field in just minutes.
Xentus launched himself over Aedan, aiming right for Chaos who swiftly avoided the ravenous male by sinking into the water as a shadow.
"Going right for me, you must be threatened." taunted Jun, grabbing Kei's wings and swinging him towards the wall where he quickly bounced back with his foot, shooting straight past Jun who groaned. His eyes remained wide open, his head shifting slowly down where he slowly grazed his hand over to the side of his abdomen, there was a fresh clean cut.
It was Kei's turn to smirk, the spikes on his forearm dripping with Jun's still warming blood, "It's more like getting rid of the pests."
"Wow he was fast, I couldn't even detect when he cut Jun." Scott shook his head in disbelief.
"There's no running away in this match." Xentus growled, he left the crowd speechless as they saw him swiftly run across the surface of the water, dodging every one of Aedan's cannon blasts. He jabbed his hand which had shifted into three giant claws straight into the water, dragging it across where a black trail of energy followed.
"Agh!" he shot his claw forward, pulling it out where the dark energy had formed into a crescent shape now gliding beneath the water which left a breathtaking view for anyone sitting in the higher rows.
"GAH!" Chaos was struck by Xentus's attack which forcefully pulled him out of his shadow form, there was a giant slash across his chest.
"You-" his anger was channeled immediately, he threw his arms wide open, releasing a purple blast of energy towards Xentus who was hit, crashing straight into the wall which crumbled down from the impact.
Aedan appeared behind him seconds later, stomping his foot directly onto Chaos's back, throwing him brutally back down into the water where he was now trapped in a vortex.
"You got lucky this time, but that's all you're going to get." Jun scowled, his wings had spread out, and with it black feathers had fluttered out, now coating themselves in steel.
There were dozens of them shooting for Kei who quickly shot open his mouth, releasing a destructive flamethrower which destroyed his opponents steel feathers, but with that distracting him, Jun quickly snuck up behind, wrapping his black wings around Kei and enclosing him within.
"What the-" he couldn't get out, his razored wings were damaging Jun's, but he wasn't about to let go, he suplexed back down from the air, dropping rapidly where he released at the last minute, letting Kei crash into the water by himself and also becoming a victim to Aedan's deadly vortex.
"G-guh!" he was climbing for air, but the water was fighting to keep him down.
"ARGH!" Xentus took a huge leap into the air, clawing himself onto Jun's back who was losing control of flight, using the winged male as a means to avoid landing in the water.
*C'mon Chaos!*
His eyes shot open, he had given into the vortex earlier, now laying at the bottom of the water, but he wasn't ready to give in to the match,
A piercing roar filled the stadium frightening many who watched in pure fascination and terror when two large shadow hands rose out from the water and caught Aedan and Jun along with Xentus in it's grasp.
"ARGH!" a giant blue flame shot out from within the vortex instantly vaporizing all the water on the field, all of it now becoming non-existent.
Kei gasped desperately as he laid on the ground, even he was in shock of Chaos's deadly abilities, "Tear them apart!" he shouted, his command through synch had fueled his shadow hands to brutally throw all three males towards the ground viciously.
"A-aguh…." they all groaned, feeling the cracked ground poking beneath them.
"Again." he commanded, this time they came palm down on all of his competitors, Kei included this time who felt the crippling pain.
"Those things fucking hurt! How is that even possible!" shouted the flygon hybrid.
"Finish them." whispered Chaos with venom lingering in his tone.
They had formed into fists this time, coming down furiously on the four males, but what came next left many audience members with open mouths.
"You got me the first two times, but that's all you're going to get." Xentus, Kei, and Junbei were all crouched as their faces looked upwards in shock, the only standing figure was Aedan who had one fist upwards clashing with Chaos's shadow figure.
"..." he showed no expression, however witnessing Aedan clash equally and stand his ground against his shadow being definitely raised him up on the bar. He had broken through his precious monster and without even breaking a sweat, this guy was someone to definitely look out for, he was a threat.
"No way!" Yoru nearly jumped out of his seat, never had he seen something so powerful that it hyped him up to actually fight.
Chase blew out a hefty sigh, "Even I have to admit that was impressive."
"Hmm….." Ina and Kukaku were up in one of the other balconies with him watching the fight as well.
Kei's instincts quickly kicked in, seconds was all it took for him to see that Aedan made a small shift in movement meaning he was ready to attack, he wasted no time and took off, avoiding the ground which became a victim, along with Xentus, Chaos, and Junbei, to the fatal blow Aedan released with only his fist.
"ARGH!" the entire floor gave in and crumbled to his power while the other three were struck away now landing roughly against the rubbled ground.
Michaels' eyes widened as he shook his head, he had forgotten how powerful Aedan truly was, the guy wasn't one to show off or brag, it was only if the situation called for it would his real strength reveal itself, and in that moment, nostalgia hit him, but from what.
"Why does this look so familiar?" he whispered.
He had looked down at Alain who chuckled briefly, "When you train and hang around a person for so long you start to pick off traits from one another, I don't know if either of them knew or even knows it now, but, Aedan and Blair are so much alike its uncanny, don't you think?"
"Y-yeah." he replied back, now thinking deeply into his friend's words.
Junbei was the first of the three to recover quickly and take to the air once more, Xentus and Chaos shook it off right after, now exchanging a quick glance at one another, no words were said, but it was as if they knew what the other was saying, and sure enough it seemed like so.
"Shit." muttered Junbei, he watched as Xentus held his palm out towards Chaos who clashed it with his fist, a purple beam of energy shot out as their powers combined creating a tense heavy atmosphere.
"So now we're making teams?!" scowled Kei, his eyes quickly opened up as he saw Chaos sink into a shadow and circle below Xentus's feet, black wisps and purple smoke began rising up and swerving around Xentus who made direct contact with every one of his opponents, flashing them a last chilling smirk as he was engulfed in Chaos's shadows.
Aedan took a few steps back, his eyes glued to the fusion between Xentus and Chaos that emerged, it was unlike anything any of them had ever seen, it had shared aspects from both males beasts, Zoroarks long wild mane that was now gengars signature purple color with shadow wispy ends at the tips of the hairs. Gengars two spiked horns were even longer and now curved outward at the tips while bleeding a glowing red. It's large broad snout opened and revealed it's vicious razor-sharp fangs that were pouring out a black and purple mist. The body of this new figure was much more defined although pretty similar to zoroarks original silhouette, it stood at seven feet however, and was covered in pitch void black fur that spiked out in the arms and legs. However, among all of its intimidating features, the one that really compelled its competitors and the audience to be truly threatened by it were its eyes. Thirsting for blood and destruction, they were sharp, venomous, a glowing mixture of black with a red slit in the center for its pupil which opened up to reveal a second red pupil this time.
"W-what the hell is that thing?" Rouge stammered, disgusted by the terrifying beast.
"I don't know…...but no good can come from combining two beasts of evil together." Aura shook her head along.
"Man am I glad I'm not down there." Scott sounded out too relieved.
"This is new." Hector smirked, Basher on the other hand seemed more impressed and excited about the new figure.
"I don't get it, why are they teaming up?" asked Styles.
"Because…." Aaron started.
"...Combining their powers doubles there strength meaning they have a higher chance of possibly taking out the rest of the competition, if they do that, then it'll just be them two in the end and one will become champion, it's smart if I do say so myself."
"Don't think that just because we're teaming up means we're friends or that I even like you, after we take out these idiots I'm kicking your ass and taking that title." Growled Chaos.
Xentus chuckled, "Fine by me, except don't get your hopes up, I'll be winning that title."
The demon figure let out a blood curdling screech, swinging its claw like fist out which extended out to great lengths to take down Kei and Junbei who swiftly dodged it, they soared in different directions avoiding getting caught.
"Fine! If that's how they want it!" He looked down at Aedan and then over at Jun who both also looked back.
"Then let's see how they do with two against three!" he shouted, shooting straight down for Aedan who held his hand up.
The dark figure brought both of its fists on the ground, crushing it even further but missing Aedan who was grabbed at the last minute by Kei who had now brought him up into the air.
"Throw me!" he shouted holding his other free arm out which had turned into his cannon, Kei nodded, pulling back first and then forward with enough strength to send his now ally racing down towards the raging monster.
"HA!" his other arm had turned into his second cannon, he clashed them both together now forming them into one massive weapon.
Junbei followed closely right after him waiting first as Aedan had released a destructive blast of water now coated in a blue energy onto there opponent who was blasted back with the powerful drag, but not enough to take it down completely.
"Ngh." he was unsettled by the standing power this new figure had.
"I have to admit, fusing with you, I've never felt power like this, I feel….like a god." Chaos laughed malevolently, and with that both him and Xentus had put to the test the new strength this creature of there's had.
They shot upwards, but it was so fast that neither of there opponents hadn't even noticed of their disappearance until they appeared above Kei, knocking him down with a foot slam to his winged back while simultaneously springing further into the air, clawing and grabbing a hold of Junbei's wing and effortlessly swinging him down onto Kei whom together had crashed onto the ground brutally.
Aedan ran ahead, jumping onto a large piece of broken concrete pointing upwards where he then aimed both of his cannons firing on the spot, "Do you really think that's going to hurt us?" it laughed, extending both of its arms out where a black portal appeared, swallowing Aedan's water blasts.
"What the-" he was struck by an uppercut, and then with a fist to the jaw he was shot down into the ground as well, crippling the already broken floor even more.
"F-fuck…...they're even stronger together…." Kei groaned out, barely recovering from his painful impact to the ground and Junbei.
Junbei got up feet first, a noticeable glare was plastered on his face as the demon beast taunted the three of them with a devious wide grin and snicker.
"But I'm stronger." said Junbei darkly, and in just seconds he shot up into the air, spearing himself against the black figure who groaned, he released a screeching growl while arching his back backward. The audience gasped as his wings extended and grew now turning completely metal.
"It's beautiful." Scarlett referenced to how the sunlight reflected gracefully against Junbei's metal wings now giving an angelic look.
"Augh." everyone was blinded by the radiance his wings gave off, allowing him to soar further up into the sky where a smirk now rested on his lips.
"What's he doing?" Kei asked himself.
Aedan who overheard his opponents words couldn't help but respond, "I don't know, but I know we're not safe."
"Try to save yourself from this!" he flapped his wings down, releasing a massive shower of bladed feathers down over the entire field, each blade cutting and slicing past the beast who screeched as it took each hit.
"That crazy bastard!" Kei opened his mouth, releasing a destructive flamethrower to incinerate all the blades coming down in his direction.
Aedan ran forward, dodging all of the blades as he switched spots while running, impressing the audience with his swiftness. He brought his arms out, engulfing them in water as they extended out into streams which he swung around, keeping Junbei's steel feathers from hitting him.
He jumped out, twisting forward where his whole body now covered itself entirely with water, rotating forward like a drill and heading straight towards Chaos and Xentus.
Junbei came racing down, spearing himself straight into Aedan who was thrown off course, the two of them now crashing against the wall.
"What the hell are you doing?!" shouted Kei, releasing a blue and purple breath of fire towards Chaos and Xentus who swallowed it through one of there black portals.
"I'm not on anyone's side, we're all fighting for the same thing and I'll be the one taking that crown." scoffed Jun, recovering first before taking off for the sky like before.
"Punk." Aedan hissed, he was quick to attack, transforming into a water spear like earlier and tackling himself into Jun who caught him only to fall for his trap.
"What the-" his wings were frozen with Aedan's touch, he suplexed him back on the ground, shooting right after for the demon figure who also became victim to Aedan's ice punch.
He turned around only to see Kei already flying towards him, only he shot by, quickly spinning around to see Kei breaking through the frozen figure with a clean slice from his steel wing. He went straight for the wall, using his foot to recoil off and pick up more speed, heading back once more for the beast who he tackled, now lifting it off the ground and into the air.
"Now!" growled Chaos, spinning around where he jabbed his fisted claw against Kei's stomach, stopping him right on cue as he continued landing rapid jabs into him.
"A-augh!" he was struck once more which sent him crashing down on the ground, the spots where he was struck on his body were all glowing purple.
"W-what…..what did-" he began feeling dizzy.
"Poison jab, good luck trying to escape its effects." chuckled Xentus and Chaos.
"AGH!" Jun shot up in front of the beast, striking his fist against its face and sending it crashing down only to see that Aedan ran in under, sliding down with a fast spin as he kicked his foot up, striking the dark figure on its back and sending it racing back up into the air once more.
"GAH!" Kei was still on the floor, rolling over in crippling pain as he felt the poison begin to course through his veins. He was seething out in frustration, the veins in his head were beginning to pop out as sweat trickled down his face.
"Fight it Kei!" shouted Nate standing up from his seat.
"You two are lower than I thought!" scowled Aedan, he jumped up, kicking the air to boost himself even further up, he did a sideways spin, slamming his leg down on the dark beasts head. It struck directly, now sending both chaos and xentus's fusion pummeling to the ground.
"You two are the weakest ones that's why you decided to team up!" shouted Jun soaring at full speed just inches above the ground, his wings had turned into solid metal allowing him to turn sideways and drag his wing across the ground, tackling Xentus and Chaos along the way and piercing them straight into the wall.
"NO!" they roared out, shooting out from the wall and grabbing both Aedan and Jun from there necks, slamming them both down onto the ground.
"AGH!" Kei's veins from his arm were beginning to throb now, his eyes were bulging out and tearing up.
*I won't go down like this! Not like this!* he let out a piercing cry, shattering the stadium's windows when his body combusted into a purple, blue, and green flame that shot up into the air, forming into the shape of a dragon that struck down Chaos and Xentus.
"GYAAAH!" they cried out, attempting to break out of the attack, but they were trapped within the mysterious fire, screeching uncontrollably.
"My turn!" Jun released a deadly blast of gust onto the dark figure, turning Kei's attack into a deadly cyclone.
"If we add enough power we can forcefully separate them!" shouted Aedan aiming a hydro cannon and adding more pressure into the cyclone.
*I-I can't breathe! We have to split!* shouted Xentus.
*NO!*
*Chaos!* he screamed out.
*That wasn't me!* Chaos retaliated.
*No! It was me!* a third voice interfered.
*What the-* A deranged roar had penetrated the stadium.
"What the fuck-" Kei's eyes widened just as he was blown back along with the others.
A pair of large red eyes had appeared on the twister before exploding, leaving the audience shocked as they saw the beast that was once Xentus and Chaos grow even more terrifying, it was a nightmare in reality, its eyes had formed a purple slit in the center, opening up to reveal a gold ring. It's teeth had also grown, now sticking out of its snout as red and white foam drooled out.
"W-what is it?" stuttered Scott, feeling chills running down his spine just from looking at the demonic figure.
Michael was intrigued yet also overwhelmed by the appearance of this figure, "I don't think that's Chaos and Xentus anymore."
"Shit! What the hell is it?!" Jun looked at it with disgust.
"It's quite simple!" It appeared behind him, kicking Jun down to the ground with his foot.
"G-gah!" It was pressing on his head with its clawed foot, digging one of his claws into the winged males head, laughing as Jun screamed even louder.
"JUN!"Aedan and Kei ran to his aid only to be blown back when the dark figure roared, releasing a powerful hyper voice.
"I am the TRUE darkness that lives and watches from below! I am everything you fear in the world, the insanity, the evil, the deranged…...I AM what all of you fear to be, I am your worst nightmare!" it picked up Jun who was now fazed from all the pressure that was put on his head.
"Augh!" he was sent racing across the field, now crash landing as Kei and Aedan rushed to help him up.
"Where's Xentus and Chaos!"
"Gone! Those idiots should have known better than to combine powers, something evil will always be born" it laughed, releasing another Hypervoice, this time they avoided it, now heading in separate directions to confuse it.
Jun was curled up on the ground, trembling as he could still feel the pain of the beasts claw digging into his head, "Snap out of it!" shouted Kei.
It cackled, vanishing just Aedan and Kei were about to land a double hit on it, instead they ended up clashing now looking back to see that it had appeared in front of an injured Jun.
"JUN LOOK OUT!" they shouted.
It lifted its leg back where it kicked him in the side, giving enough force to send him shooting across the stadium and pummeling against the wall, leaving a hole in place as he dropped to the ground still conscious.
"I'M THE CHAMPION". It roared while simultaneously releasing a black shroud of energy from its mouth, overtaking the entire field.
"What the-" the ground began shaking, alarming both Aedan and Kei who tried to take to the sky but something dragged them down, almost as if gravity had increased on them.
A giant fissure had split the ground apart, releasing a massive amount of force on Aedan, Kei, and Jun who were all blown up into the air, there entire bodies now suffering gruesome burns.
"N-nagh!" they screamed out, unable to handle the searing pain of their wounds.
They hurried over to Jun who had been hurt the most now helping him up on his feet as the three went back to back, now looking up at the void black cloud hovering above them, they barely had any energy to stand, let alone fight. "Fuck, is this it?" Jun coughed out, unable to stop himself from coughing out blood. Aedan's eyes narrowed up at the darkness above.
"No..." he looked over at Kei who gave a small yet noticeable nod.
"This is only the beginning"
