A/N I know I'm sorry I've been a complete and utter bitch and I'm sorry about that and this chapter is not really worth the wait as it is so short but after this chapter is the one where they start working on iron man and then the rest of the exciting things. Please review or I will eat a cow well I guess I'm going to do that anyway hmmm.

Chapter 21

"Annalisa Tony he ...is ...urm... he has been kidnapped" Pepper blurted out, clearly in shock.

I didn't know what to think or feel at first. All that kept going through my mind was that I had just got him, that I couldn't lose him yet and I didn't know what to do. It's been almost three months now and I've been looking but the truth is, I'm useless. I haven't been taught how to hack; I've been stuck on a little island with no one like me I'm lacking in a lot of areas.

However I'm still good at building things I've been working on a scanner in the form of a micro bot at the moment. It's relatively useless as it will be obvious to my dad's captives when they see a mini plane flying towards them that it's on a spy mission. It's a nightmare I just want things to go back to normal.

I'm just a bit lost as to what to do. I mean how the hell I am I going to get people to use this device anyway? 'Oh yeah, Tony Stark is my dad and this will help you find him.' Yeah I don't think that is really going to work as much as it would make me feel so much less useless. But I can't just keep sitting around waiting, I had to do something.

It has felt like a long time of trying to be normal and being plagued by my subconscious with the awful things that have most likely been happening to my dad. Just how do people do this?

At least I've got people there for me Pepper, going through the same thing as me and Bex. Well Bex doesn't really know what's going on, just that my dad is in some kind of situation on a business trip.

Anyway, the long awaited time suddenly arrived with Pepper running into my room screaming that they had found him. I was so relieved as was Pepper. She just threw her arms around me and we stayed there for a little while, clinging on to each other for support.

So this is what leads us to where we are now, on the way to the airport. Pepper has said I can skip the morning at school today. Well it's not every day that your dad is released by his kidnappers after being held for 4 months. But I have to wait in the car as no one knows about me still so I can't let them see me.

After an agonizing wait, the plane finally lands, the doors seem to take forever to open and then finally I see Tony coming out, a little worse for wear but in one piece. He walks over to Pepper and says something to her, they then both make their way back to the car and Happy opens the door. He climbs in and immediately, before Pepper can even climb in I have him in a death grip, all the relief after 4 months of fear pouring out of me.

After his initial surprise he crushes me to him and hugs me just as tight. Well as much as you can with one arm in a sling.

"Hey kid, I thought you were at school?" He queries.

"Well Pepper said I could probably miss this morning for family reasons."

That sounds a bit weird, most people that don't go in for family reasons it's because their parents are getting divorced or something not due to their dad getting kidnapped by terrorists.

"I missed you dad." I whisper in his ear.

"I missed you too kido, you were the only thing that kept me going in there."

"I only just got you and I've decided I quite like having a dad…." I leave the rest unsaid.

We pull apart and he kisses my hair but keeps his arm around me with my head on his shoulder.

"Now I want a burger!"

Dad had half of the bloody menu; he was still eating when they dropped me off at school. I walk in feeling a lot more happier then I have the last couple of months.

The day goes by a lot quicker than I expected, I go out and wait for Happy as I always do. He seems to be running a bit late but I know that dad called a press conference today. I don't think anyone understood the rush. I just hope that it didn't all go severely wrong.

I lift out my phone and start to scroll through whilst I'm waiting. As expected the main news report is about my dad, he has just escaped from his kidnappers after all. Do I want to read what's written? It can't hurt just to have a little look can it? But as I open it up and am greeted by big bold letters. 'HAS TONY STARK MADE A FATAL MISTAKE?'

Wow what the hell happened at this press conference? I read on to find out that he has temporarily suspended production of any kind and said that Stark Industries will no longer be producing and supplying weapons. He will be finding an alternative direction for the business. Wow I never thought this would happen. I must say though, I'm so relieved. I hated what my dad did and now he's changed it. This does make things hard for him though.

At long last Happy pulls up an hour late murmuring apologies and takes me home.

I hurry into the living room to find dad with a drink in his hand looking exhausted. When he sees me he starts to get up but I run over and give him another hug.

"I know everyone thinks that you messed up today but I think you did the right thing." I pull away grinning.

"Thanks kid, did Happy tell you what happened then?" He asks me sighing.

"Not exactly, I read about it on my phone." I went for the truthful approach.

"Hey that's all right kid. I think I'm going to have a bit of a break until they agree that we need to put a stop to this."

He picks up his drink and takes a gulp with a far off look in his eye. Wow what did he see over there?
