In the end, he never expected Justin to be triggered by one of Gus' birthday gifts. If he'd known something so random could've done it, Brian would have paid more attention to Justin's surroundings. But he hadn't, and now he's left to try and make things right.
"This doesn't look like the bathroom."

He kneels in front of the rocking chair and takes Sunshine's hands. Justin refuses to look at him, so Brian squeezes to get his attention. Justin glances down at him with water-logged eyes.
"That's not the part I wanted to remember," Justin whispers.
