"…." Logan sat across from Wakka with a huge frown plastered across his face, it had been four hours since he had to part with Devlin so he could perform his family's funeral alone. He imagined the worst, Devlin crying all alone with no one but that woman to console him. Wakka smirked at him slyly while cradling little Vidina in his hands, as if he had something he wanted to say to Logan but was keeping it in until the baby fell asleep. He seemed at the end of his rope when Wakka started snickering. He shouted almost waking little Vidina. "What!?"

"You really like him don't cha bra?" Logan paled the moment the words left Wakka's mouth, these people were his puppy's old friends, what would they think of him having an relationship with the young man? "OHHHH I knew it yah!"

"You don't know what you're talking about…" he tried desperately to stop blushing but it was completely useless, he was found out and there was nothing he could do ecept sit there worring about Devlin. Wakka gave him a look that said no bull honky wanting the truth from the man. He sighed and nodded his head and confessed his feelings for Devlin. "Ok! Yes… I do… I love him."

"Ah it's ok yah, its fine with me so long as you really love him. Just try and keep your distance with Lu… She has an eye for theses kind of thinks yah, and she might kill you for messing around with Devlin…" Logan gritted his teeth at that, dispite being with Devlin they had never done anything like what Wakka was thinking. Wakka gently placed Vidina in his crib and kissed his forehead sweetly. He turned to Logan and smiled walking to a small cabinet and pulled out two bears. "What about drink yah? Dev and Lu will be busy for another hour or so." Logan stared for a while and smirked, having the guy getting drunk would stop much of his questioning, it was perfect to because he really needed a drink anyway.

"… Now you're talking my language."

I walked through the forest feeling so… I don't even know how to say it… I guess emotional? Ever since that moment in the glade I started to feel something from all around me, so many different unique emotions seemed to seround me in a thick blanket. Honestly I was just content with that, just purely content, with everything that was happening. I was just a little confused about why this new sensation was going through me only one person could explane what was happening… or should I saw wolf.

"… Crest?" I called out to him and smiled when he appeared in front of me from a puff of smoke. He looked so calm and happy just to be walking with me; I wish I could read his mind. If only to find out what was going on in that fuzzy head. "Question…"

'Bark?' I stopped walking and glared at him, thinking you not just barked at me when I know for a fact oyu talked just fine a minute ago! 'Sigh… Ok ok… what do you want to know?'

"There's something wrong… I feel weird like I'm feeling emotions that aren't coming from me… where are they coming from?" Crest chuckled at me and nudged me with his fuzzy head.

'Do you really want to know?' I wanted to nod but… I felt like if I did I would hear something I didn't want to. But then again it couldn't have been worse then what I already been through. Despite my hesitation I just patted his head and nodded; curiosity just got the better of me.

"Yes…" He smiled brightly and sat in front of me motioning for me to sit with him; he seemed so excited like he was just given a bone to chew on. I kneeled in front of him and he placed a paw over my heart, when he touched me I felt a small pulse and then nothing, my mind and heart felt completely clear.

'Focus… think about someone… anyone… and picture looking through their eyes, picture it and let it become clear, like a vale being lifted from your eyes.' That was weird… but I did as he asked. I closed my eyes and thought of Logan. For a moment I felt odd… bubbly and full. It was very weird and… I kind of liked it. I opened my eyes and from a flash of light I saw Wakka. He was sitting behind the cottage and drinking beers with Logan. I never knew Wakka drank… then again it's not like it's abnormal, he was in his thirty's and was legal… I just never pictured him drinking before; it was kind of weird to me.

"And then… Hhaha… Lu and I jumped into the lake totally naked… PhfthHAhaha!" My eyes widened in shock! That was one picture I never wanted to see... sadly I didn't have a choise in the matter. In another flash of light I was standing near a lake, I looked around and saw Lulu sitting near a picnic blanket I knew what was coming next so I begged the image to go away and thankfully it did and I was back to staring at Wakka completely flabbergasted. It was as if I just peered into one of his memories.

"You… are drunk." I felt happy to hear Logan's familiar voice I supposed that I was looking through his eyes… I felt something odd then… it was like a mix of embarrassment, amusement and slight jealousy. "You're lucky… I can never get real drunk…"

"Why not?" When Wakka asked I felt my vision flash again and after the last time I was hesitant to look but I just went with it more curious then cautious of what I would see. When the vision focused I was sitting in a bar… now I never been in a bar before but I knew it was a one because of the countless bottles that stood on a long shelf in many different colors and logos. I was facing the bar just staring at the bottles hopeful.

"Hello there Logan," In front of me behind the bar stood a very pretty woman with long dark brown hair and reddish brown eyes looking back at me with joy. She wore a cowboy or should I say cowgirl outfit and had a very kind look about her. "It's been a while since you came down to the Seventh Heaven. What can I get you?" I instantly felt a sense of remembrance and hopefulness from her words.

"Hey Tifa, get me whatever knocks people out the fastest." The woman smirked at me and pulled out a white bottle with clear liquid. She smiled at me and poured the contents in a large glass.

"Balkan One hundred seventy-Six Proof Vodka," she handed me the drink and I downed it in an instant. I didn't taste anything or even smelt what I drank but I felt a warm feeling coming from my gut that lasted about two seconds then felt a long moment of disappointment. The woman sighed at me knowingly and picked out another bottle. "Spirytus Polish Vodka one hundred ninety-two, this should put you under the table."

"Appreciate it Tifa." I quickly downed about five glasses only to feel that warm feeling for about ten seconds until it faded into nothing but more disappointment. "This was doomed from the start… thanks for humoring me but I'll just go…"

'Oh Logan…' I thought; the disappointment faded when the woman held his shoulder and pulled him back to the bar stool.

"Not yet, I got one more shot for you." she looked around cautiously before pulling out an oddly colored bottle with a large X painted on the front. "Now this is form my secret reserve, if this doesn't kill you first it will defiantly do the job." An enormous amount of hope filled me as I picked up the drink and downed it, I instantly felt just completely warm inside. It was as if the world was shacking and spinning so very gently. I began to sway smiling at the woman seeing her chuckle and clap her hands overjoyed. "I knew that would work!"

"You are… the best bar keep ever!" I held up the glass and the woman gently hit the glass with the bottle as a cheers.

"You are very welcome! Just try not to kill to much of those brain cells." The image faded until I was staring back at Wakka then faded again until I was looking back at Crest. I breathed deeply and stumbled to me feet, feeling tried and winded. I looked down at Crest who was smiling funny.

'You have fun on your first heart gazing?' his voice was filled with a proud and excited tone.

"Heart gazing; is that what it's called?" Crest nodded and started walking down the path beckoning me to follow.

'It's what I call it. You see things through the eyes of others; you get to experience their feelings and memories. You collect them within the depths of your heart and they live forever inside you making you stronger… more… uh well… more then you are.' I felt so honored to have this new power. To actually see and feel what other people experience for myself… yet something was off.

"Why though?" Crest looked back at me pausing and smiled contently.

'I have asked this myself… why should I have known what others felt? Why it is necessary to have their memory's within my being? Let me answer the questions with another question… what happens to the soul when it dies? They are sent to the azure depths where my brother guides them to mother's garden. Now what happens to the body when it dies? The body falls and returns to the earth depending on the winds my brother creates. Now ask yourself this, what happens to the heart? What happens to the countless emotions you always felt all your life? They do not fade away; they live on as an eternal fire within my being…. And now… they belong to you. To forever protect and cherish until the ending of humanity.'

"That is… deep." To deep! My head actually hurt just listening to him, all of it was just too much to take in… but in a way it was beautiful. For now until the end of time I will be connected to everyone on a perfect emotional level. Crest could see my hesitation to accept this and nudged my leg comfortingly.

'It's alright… so long as I am with you; I will share the blunt of the burden. The emotions will not overwhelm you. Trust in me as I trust you.' I was touched, I never really saw much of this side of Crest... in the beginning he was a nightmare ran from, when I learned of what he was he became a ally to protect me in my darkest times and just keep me from my inner loneliness, and now after so long… he became more to me… he became a friend. I leaned down and brought him into a big hug.

"Then together… we'll see this all through together."

"What are you doing!?" Lulu stood in front of Logan and Wakka angrily, her hands were on her hips as he glared at her husband and the man he was drinking with. Wakka was sweating in fear tossing the bear can he had behind his back pretending it was never there. Lulu just glared deeper when he stood up and smiled nervously.

"Nothing at all Lu! I'll be checking on the baby now yah?" Drunkenly he stumbled back into the cottage leaving her alone with Logan. She glared down at the man who looked extremely worried at her gaze. He just knew this was going to be bad. But then the thought of Devlin not being alongside her troubled him

"Is Devlin ok?"

"Yes he has finished his work; he is simply taking his time to absorb what he had learned." She circled him with a fake smile. Like a vulture about to swoop down on a carcass and rip it apart at the seams. "Now that I have you alone, I would like to ask you a question…" Logan paled slightly. Sabertooth he could handle, Magneto he could handle, the freaking Juggernaut he could handle… but this woman… scared the hell out of him. They were nothing compared to this woman's icy stare.

"What would you like to know?" When she smiled at his answer she might as well be driving a knife in his chest at the same time.

"What are your intentions with Devlin?" and like that she dug the knife of her words into his gut. He was going to deny everything and hope she would believe him when a voice sounded from within the forest.

"Logan!" As if an angel from above Devlin appeared out of the dirt trail and charge at the man along with Crest into a hug. The boy was so happy to see him and so was Logan.

"Nice to see yah again pup, now how about we get out of here… as fast as possible." Devlin chuckled and nodded his head. His work was done and his family at rest, he wanted nothing but to snuggle in bed with his love.

"Fine, just let me say goodbye to Lulu and Wakka." Logan cringed at her name but smiled and nodded, pointing to the trail leading out to the highway.

"Alright, I'll just be… warming the engine…" Devlin stared at him confused but nodded anyway. When Logan left Devlin turned to Lulu looking sad. He didn't want to say goodbye, Lulu was more than a friend, she was family to Devlin.

"I guess I'm off again…" he said sadly, Lulu lifted his chin hand kissed his forehead.

"Be not saddened, we will be moving to Bayville soon." Devlin was shocked.

"Really!? But what about this place? It was your home for so long." Lulu smiled and turned to the direction of the glade.

"The task of the Coven of the Moon was to protect the glade of the Goddess's child until the day he would return. Now that you have returned it is time for me to walk a new path. Besides, the forest is no place to raise a child. Plus I would get to spend more time closer to you." Devlin bounced on his heels extremely happy.

"Then I'll see you soon! Here's the number for the institute, call me anytime!" Devlin handed her his number and kissed her cheek. "See you soon Lulu!"

"What's taking him?" Logan sat on his bike ready to get as much distance as he could from the freighting woman as possible. Devlin rushed out of the path and hopped on the bike behind him smiling like the Cheshire Cat. "You said your goodbyes?"

"Nope! Lulu and Wakka are coming down to live permanently in Bayville, is in that great!?" Logan paled.

"Uh... sure pup… yah… great... as long as you're happy…" Logan mumbled something to himself under his breath.

"What was that?" Logan sped the bike foreword making the younger clutch onto his chest startled and just laughed in excitement. "Faster please!"

"Anything for you pup!" the two sped down the road not noticing the man staring at them from within the forest. The man smiled widely through his red and black mask.

"Wolvy! This job is just getting better and better!"
