Hello all! Yikes, I'm so sorry. Uni and life have been interfering a lot, and I struggle with ideas, but alas, here I am once again. As I said in previous chapters, I will never stop this story without informing you guys first (cause I know how irritating that is). Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Jack had once again been left alone with his one-and-a-half year old daughter. With a severely depleting pantry, Sally had rushed out of the house to the grocer before it shut, leaving Jack with Rosie for the afternoon.

"Dada, food," Said Rosie, grabbing his arm, pulling him from his reverie. Jack cringed to himself, hoping there was at least some food for a snack. He pulled her up onto his hip and made his way into the kitchen. After rummaging around for a while, Jack stumbled upon a lone banana sitting in the cupboard.

"How about a banana, Rosie?" He asked, grabbing out the fruit.

"Nana! Nana!" Cried Rosie, wriggling up and down, causing Jack to nearly drop her. Jack walked into the living room and placed Rosie on the blanket, leaving her to eat her snack whilst he talked to the mayor on the phone. Enjoying her treat immensely, Rosie had smeared banana all over her clothes, face and some of the neighbouring toys. Zero had picked an unfortunate time to enter the room, floating in the room, immediately catching the attention of Rosie.

"Zo, nana!" Cried Rosie, crawling over to Zero, more banana squishing between her fingers. Upon reaching Zero, Rosie held out her hand, a pile of banana mush sitting on her palm.

"Zo, nana!" Said Rosie again, getting frustrated at the dog, who wouldn't accept her offer. Before Rosie could get any of the banana on the poor dog, Jack had stepped into the room, just in time.

"Rosie, no!" Cried Jack, scooping up the toddler, bits of banana going every where. Rosie looked around her, suddenly realizing she had been hauled away from her companion. She stuck her bottom lip out, took a breath of air, and let out a wail. Jack, in a state of panic, searched around for Zero, who had conveniently left the room. Jack began to bounce Rosie up and down in an effort to calm her down.

Half an hour later, with no sign of Rosie calming, Sally had arrived home. Jack rushed to the door with a begging plea to never leave him alone again.
