Maiden- I'd just like to take the time to address a few authors who think it's funny to steal my story! If you want to make your own version of this, you must ask me first! That's plagiarism, no if, ands, or buts about it! And I ask anyone who is an avid reader to this story, to please let me know if you see any imitators floating around. Thank you for letting me rant, now read on!

Danielle Fenton

Chapter 18- Pain in the Sass

She shouldn't have let them go without her...or at all really. Dani knew her brother and boyfriend shouldn't have dove into the ghost zone the second Wulf appeared and told Danny the news. But the elder Phantom had a knack for reacting before thinking. So Dani sat on the floor of the lab, staring at the swirling green portal, hoping her two boys would come back. But no such luck. A pair of navy eyes watched her from a distance. Raven was worried about the younger girl. Dani had been sitting there since the boys disappeared into the abyss that was the ghost zone. And that was hours ago.

"Staring into that portal isn't gonna bring them back, ya know." Raven finally spoke, moving her body out of the shadows. Dani didn't respond more than a few blinks of her eyes. The elder raven haired girl sighed and keeled down to the fourteen year old's height. "They're fine, Danielle. Danny and Blaine can hold there own pretty well."

"I know." Dani whispered. "But I should've went with them."

"Your brother told us to stay here. In case those troopers invade Amity."

"They won't. The Ghost King is only interested in getting revenge."

"But think about it, Danielle. The best way to get to Danny is through us. The Ghost King knows what we all mean to him."

"He doesn't want us. He wants Danny. And that's precisely why I need to go after them!"

Raven sighed and stood, the tiny glass orb around her neck beginning to glow. A split second later, Raven had completely transformed. Navy t-shirt, black jeans and Vans were replaced by a stunningly white sloped skirt and strapless top. Both garments were decorated with ribbons of different colors. White ribbons adorned her arms and feet and navy eyes flashed to aqua. She was no longer Raven Wheeler, rather Aurora; Sorceress of Elements.

"Fine. If you wanna be reckless and go after them, I'm coming with you."

Dani smiled brightly and followed her elder's lead and morphed. The two girls plunging deep into the spiraling green portal.

"So where do you think we are?" Blaine and Danny were far from the Fenton portal, somewhere in the middle of the endless vortex that was the ghost zone. Danny glanced around before shrugging his shoulders.

"Not a clue. It's been a couple of years since I've been to the ghost king's palace, so I'm not exactly sure we're even on the right track."

"Ugh, then why did we even come all this way!?" Blaine was getting anxious, the flames that made up his hair grew in size and strength. The two had been floating around for hours, seemingly going in a complete circle. "We should've waited like Wulf told us to! Instead, we're stranded out here in bumfuck Egypt!"

Danny only rolled his emerald eyes before floating upwards again. Blaine groaned loudly, but followed. Might as well stick together.

"At the very least, you should've swiped Tuck's PDA so we'd know where we're going. Instead, you glanced at a digital map that didn't tell you shit!" Blaine grumbled, not at all happy with his leader.

"Ya know, your griping isn't helping much." Danny snapped, growing fairly irritated with his company.

"And your dumb ass ain't getting us no where!" Blaine hollered, not caring who heard him.

"Ya know I don't see what my sister sees in you." Danny's ecto green eyes glowed with his anger.

"Don't bring her into this! This is all your fault so stop trying to pin the blame on Dani!"

"I'm not trying to pin anything on her!"

"Really? Cause that whole 'this is all your fault' shit back at Fenton Works really fooled me!"

"Ugh! Can we not have this conversation now!? We've got a revenge seeking, demented ghost king to find!"

"Then find him yourself!" Blaine had finally had enough. The pyro hybrid took off in another direction, leaving Danny to himself. And being the stubborn guy he was, Danny huffed and continued without another thought about his awol friend.

"Stupid Danny." Blaine muttered to himself, floating endlessly through random asteroids. "Mr. high and mighty needs to admit he's wrong sometimes."

"Good luck with that." a new voice laughed. Blaine spun around, knowing that voice anywhere. His sour expression transformed into a full smile seeing Dani and Aurora just a few yards away.

"I thought I told you to wait back home?" Blaine asked as Dani hugged him from behind.

"Yeah, well Princess here was beginning to become more of a goth than me and Sam combined!" Aurora smirked, her heart warming a little at the tender scene. "Where's Danny?"

"Hell if I know." Blaine spat, the fire in his voice returning. "Big shot thinks Dani's to blame for all this. And I got sick of listening to it, so I ditched him."

"Not a good idea." the raveness warned. "Danny is no match for the Pariah Dark alone. He needs us if he's to take him down again."

"Then I guess we'd better start looking." Dani smiled, tugging her boyfriend along the displaced rocks. A few miles forward and everything started to grow darker, more malevolent. "I don't like this." Dani spoke, eyes darting back and forth, looking for any and everything.

"This is the denser part of the ghost zone." Aurora answered. "Stay on your guard cause only the baddest of the bad can survive here."

The two halfas and sorceress flew deeper and deeper into the darkness. The temperature in the ghost zone was normally chilly, but this was bone freezing cold. Aurora shivered, feeling the goosebumps rise to her pale skin. She clasped her hands together and blew a gust of fire into her palms to keep them from going numb. She might be able to control elements, but temperature, she could not.

"This place gives me the creeps..." Dani said, rubbing her arms as goosebumps appeared. Blaine noticed this and rubbed his hands across her arms in hopes of warming her a bit. The hybrid girl smiled at his gesture and grabbed his hand when it reached hers. Her eyes grew sad again as she worried her bottom lip and glanced up at the dense ghost zone's scenery. "Do you really think Danny's gonna be okay?"

"Of course." Aurora replied, her voice sure. "He's a big boy, he can take care of himself."

"I know, but I can't help but worry..."

A low, faint moan cut off any response Aurora or Blaine was about to give. It shocked the three into a dead stop, being absolute silent until the sound was heard again.

"What is that?" Dani whispered to her boyfriend, only to gain a shrug from him.

"Stay behind me." he told the two girls, flying forward to an oncoming meteor. Ghostly green eyes caught sight of a violet haired boy ghost writhing in pain on the surface of the rock.

"Aurora!" he called, swooping down to get a better look at the boy. The raven haired sorceress appeared by his side seconds later. "He's hurt. Can you heal him?"

"I can try." Aurora placed her right hand on the boy's stark white face while her left went to his abdomen. Both glowed a mix of white and blue as she channeled her magic through them. A few minutes later, the boy started to come around. His eyes opened to show their deep blue color.

"W-who are you?" he asked, trying to sit up.

"Take it easy!" Aurora warned, keeping a firm hand on the boy. "You took a pretty nasty blow to your ribcage. If you're not careful, you could dislodge something."

"Thank you." he spoke, offering a shaky smile, showing the metal braces that adorned his teeth.

"No problem. I'm Aurora, sorceress of elements. And these are my friends, Blaine Lovecraft and Dani Phantom."

"Aren't you supposed to be older?" he asked the halfa girl. "And a boy?"

"No, you're thinking of my brother." Danielle laughed. "I'm Danielle, but call me Dani...but with an I."

"So who are you?" Blaine asked, not really liking the way this new character was looking at his girlfriend.

"Oh, sorry. My name's Demitri. I'm the ghost of ice."

"What were you doing out here that got you so banged up?" Dani asked, kneeling down to Demitri's level.

"Some solider looking guys raided my home...I tried to stop them, but all I really succeeded in was getting my ass handed to me."

"That's awful!" Dani cried, her eyes glowing with anger. "These creeps are really pushing my patience! I hope Danny get to them first, cause if I see them, they're gonna need to be more than undead to survive me!"

"You're quite the feisty one." Demitri chuckled, his pale cheeks coloring a bit.

"You don't know the half of it." Aurora drawled, fighting off a grin. Blaine narrowed his eyes and folded his arms. Liking this new guy less and less.

"Can you show us where you last saw those guys?" Dani asked, pulling Demitri to his feet.

"Anything for such a beautiful creature, such as yourself." Demitri kissed the top of Dani's hand, causing the girl to giggle and blush.

"Just lead us in the right direction." Blaine growled, taking Dani's hand as the paler boy flew forward into the darkness.

Maiden- A special thanks to Sky Blue Storm for Demitri! I won't give away too much, but he will play a key role in future chapters. Until next time! Smooches!
