Welcome Back
DSM 20. Yep. Here we are darlings.
"So...That's what you see in here..." Said Menma, somehow due to being summoned had weakened his ability to resist illusions to the point where he was able to see what Solaire saw. And right now, that was quite a treat for the senses.
"Those tits..." Now awed by finally taking it all in, a giant of a woman laying across a bedding a cushions she was draped in white cloth with a hood falling just onto her forehead, though chestnut wavy hair spilled out with such majesty that made even the introverted Shinobi's heart skip a beat, such angelic features, the woman before him was undoubtedly worthy of her title, Gwynevere the Goddess of Fertility, as she was called.
With those massive mounds of flesh, one could perhaps draw a motherly aura from her.
Menma just wanted to shaft the lass, to put it bluntly.
"She can probably hear you, my friend." Said Solaire, his voice light as ever but even he could not keep the awe out of his tone.
"I doubt it's the first time that she's heard it." Replied the Uzumaki, with a shrug. Solaire chuckled to himself before coughing into his fist and straightening, lightly rapping his friend upon the arm and scolded him.
"A Knight must always show utmost respect to maidens, my dear friend Menma. As an associate to a Knight of Sunlight, do try not to be so crass." Menma smirked and released a low chuckle. Leaning down to whisper into the Knights ear.
"I kissed the other Princess." He said, Solaire's radiant blue eyes almost glowed with shock whilst Menma merely crossed his arms grinning like a chesire cat that just at the canary.
"H-HOW!?..." Solaire rapidly recovered, "How did you even meet Princess Gwyndolin? Few even know of her existence, as an Adherent to the Lord of Sunlight tis my business to know of his family, but you are not. How did you come across her?" Asked the man, both of them so engaged in the conversation they didn't notice Gwynevere's closed eyes opening slightly to reveal oceanic blue orbs, warm blue eyes that were tinted with mirth.
"Well I dunno. In my world Anor Londo is covered in darkness, there's no sun here for some reason. I asked the Firekeeper, you may have run into her, and she immediately grew suspicious of me, before trying to haul me off to meet her 'Master'. Turns out that was Gwyndolin and that my Anor Londo was supposed to be blanketed in an illusion that I appear to be resistant to." Informed Menma, Solaire's body language tightened slightly.
"Then again I'm pretty sure it's different in yours, for whatever reason. The Princess over there has a heartbeat, so it can't be like the illusion I was supposed to walk into. Maybe I'm just unlucky? Or maybe I'm wrong. I can't tell. And I don't want to find out at the risk of your world. All I can say Solaire, is be very careful. I'd hate for something to happen to the first friend I made in this land." The Warrior of Sunlight's blue orbs softened at that, his eyes creasing a smile undoubtably fell upon his lips.
Menma felt a pull on his form, a familiar pull that signaled the rush of the mysterious fog, looking at Solaire, the mans eyes fell slightly as the Uzumaki looked upon his hand, slowly becoming transparent.
"It would seem out time is up..." Said the Warrior of Sunlight, mournfully.
"If it's any conciliation you're probably the best partner a guy could ask for, and I genuinely cannot wait until we meet again." Said Menma, offering his arm. The Knight seemed to puff with pride and nodded, taking the arm into a roman grip and giving it a firm shake.
Menma vanished as the two seperated.
"Chosen Undead...Thou hast journeyed far..." Began to Goddess.
Menma's World
Blinking a few times as the rush of fog cleared away, revealing the same world he resided in before, his world. Menma's eyes panned upwards to see a large golden bowl sitting upon the lounge where Gwynevere had in Solaire's world. Moving forward he hopped up onto the cushy lounge and sealed the golden vessel into a scroll, slipping it back into his pouch he patted the cushions underneath him, they were incredibly soft.
"You should probably just sleep here for a time before going back to Blighttown, you haven't rested properly since you left the Asylum. Best to take that chance while you can." Suggested Kurama.
"Caring for my well being now? That's sweet of you darling." Replied the cage to its prisoner, laughing at the low growl that came, "But you're right. If I try to perform the sealing the way I am, Quelara could come out worse because of my foolishness." Menma pulled of his weaponry and set it to one side, before laying down upon the sweet smelling bedding.
The cool nights air gently danced across his back, its crispness welcomed greatly. Menma sighed contently once before falling into a dreamless slumber.
Anor Londo, Next 'Day'
Menma stood where the bat demon bastards had dropped him and climbed up onto the ledge where they were perched, looking down the massive sheer cliff face he whistled lowly, a nudge at the back of his knee made it buckle and sent him over the edge.
The little fuckers were snickering like it was funniest thing in the world.
"Having fun?" Asked Kurama with mild amounts of disinterest, as he saw his container plummet to his death, though the drop was anything but short.
"Not today!" He mentally shouted with a smirk, "Kuchiyose No Jutsu!" The massive cloud of smoke signaled the summoning was a success, Menma roared with victory as he stood on the back of his ol' pal Tsuki-chan. The Moonlight Butterfly trilling with immeasurable joy as it felt its friends presence once more, nonexistent eyes looked as to where they were and it was shocked to find itself out of the Garden.
A short trip down and the pair landed where the Iron Golem once stood, the Uzumaki climbing off the back and holding his arms out, the creature wrapped him tightly in its feelers, nuzzling his head with its own contently. "Guess who I missed..?" He asked, drawing out the 'I' teasingly. The creature released a soft trill as it ran is feelers over his face.
"Yes, madam. I missed you." He grinned and gave the large beauty a gentle squeeze. Placing little kisses along the surface of its green head, the creature releasing high pitched squeal-like trills, much like an overexcited child would.
"Alright, we can hug more later. I needa get to Firelink, c'mon I'll show you the way." Unweaving himself from the affection he slid up and sat upon what would equate to Tsuki's shoulders. The butterfly slowly flapped its massive wings and ascended, floating serenely across the air currents, Menma gestured roughly to where Firelink was situated and the pair enjoyed a quiet and peaceful flight across the hollow infested world around them.
It was quite empowering to be flying across the sky upon a majestic beast. However effeminate his choice of mount may be he could still make it look badass. Because his entire hand was made of FIRE!
Gently he ran his clawed hand across the rounded head of his dear Tsuki-chan. The creature released several soft trills as its massive wings gently beat, the trees under him ruffled and waved wildly as the powerful blasts of wind were emitted.
The trip was short, soon Firelink came into view, Menma smiled at the familiar sight as Tsuki gently landed upon the edge of the cliff face and allowed him to disembark, walking up to the cage where the Firekeeper was once housed he found her robes, Menma bowed his head in shame, shame that he could not protect even one as broken as she.
Raising his Marked Hand he produced her soul, and gently placed it back into the bundle of bloody cloth. Souls seemed to work differently for Firekeepers, as they were the soul. Instead of being like himself who's soul was only one half of their being, the other half of course being the body.
Slowly her robes were filled, her body returning.
Though those dead eyes seemed to pick up slightly as she blinked rapidly to clear her vision it seemed reality crashed back down upon her, "You...Have resurrected me...I thank you. Though I wish you did not." Menma understood that, given how her life had undoubtedly been pretty shit. Though that was probably underselling it.
Invaded By Dark Spirit...
Menma's eyes widened, he figured Firelink was moderately safe from such things, reaching for his Black Knight Sword he conjured his flame and turned to see the red figure rising from their hole. This figure was donned in golden armour with a white cloth falling down the center, similar to a tabard in fact, they wore a mask that held the oddest expression he'd ever seen. It looked like a startled ornate man's face.
Strapped to his back was a thin looking shield that seemed to pulse with a green glow, Grass Crest Shield. Were the helpful words of Orange.
Though the sword held in his hand was enourmas for a man of his size, it seemed more suited to the 'Demi-Gods' like Menma, if you listened to Gwyndolin anyway. Menma was still very unsure what exactly he was now.
"Salvation is reserved for those who pass the test...If you survive an elevated existence awaits..." The deep, rumbling voice that seemed to be riddled with power echoed from within that mask, the man hefted his blade and seemed to trudge forward at first. "Initiate phase 1. Power up the Bass Cannon!" It was at this point that Menma noticed those exact words etched onto the Zweihander's blade.
With agility and strength unbefitting of anyone wielding that blade the man leapt at Menma who blocked the strike with the flat of his blade launching a flaming punch at the man he almost immediately had to twist into a roll to avoid the horizontal strike that came far too quickly.
Another horizontal sweeping strike came his way and Menma could not avoid it and had to take the strike to his shoulder, with such limited space he couldn't really do much, and with Anastasia and Tsuki here he could pull out the bigger Jutsu.
"Fall Casul." Ordered the rumbling voice.
Menma growled lowly and swung the Black Knights blade towards his foe only for the man to seemingly punch it, the blade fractured and snapped in half. Menma gaped for a second before he was kicked harshly in the chest.
"It's so fucking on." Rumbled the Uzumaki as he whipped out both his Uchigatana and his Claymore, flames and electricity crawled up the blades and roared with power, "Arrogant piece of shit." Bellowed Menma as he vanished into a flaming Shunshin and appeared behind the man, stabbing both blades right through his shoulders to the hilt, and cutting inwards towards the heart. Kicking the man off his blades Menma waited for him to turn into the red ash that most invadered had done but instead stood back up as though he hadn't just had his organs melted or his bones torn apart.
"The Legend never dies." Informed the man.
Menma's scowl grew in strength, "You insufferable cunt." He growled out, but he did notice that they had switched places it was now 'The Legend' who had his back to the cliff face, Tsuki seemed to notice this and shot a powerful blast of magic at the man forcing him to roll out of the way, Menma sheathed his Uchi and created a black of in his hand, it gained several rings glaring hatefully towards his annoying foe Menma darted forward, under another strike and slammed it right into his chest, sending him through the decaying wall fragments that remained and over the edge.
Sighing he sheathed his claymore as the message Invader Defeated he didn't bother to mention the fact that it said 'defeated' and not vanquished. No doubt he'd have to deal with that headache again at some point.
"...So beautiful..." Murmured the mouse-like voice of Anastasia. The Firekeeper staring in awe at Tsuki who offered a tendril as a form of greeting, the Firekeeper seemed extremely hesitant but ever so timidly touched the green appendage with a single finger, nearly leaping back as though expecting some form of retribution.
Menma sighed 'This is what I get for liking different girls. I get thrown into this place and find so damn many it's ridiculous. It's like finding a song I really like and listening to it a million times. That's what alternative girls are to me right now. And that makes me sad.' Mentally complained out 'hero'.
"That's what you get for liking the goths." Came the voice of Kurama.
'One girl, one time that seemed to interest me doesn't warrant this overplay by the universe!'.
Complaints and mild annoyance aside the day hadn't been to bad.
Dunno why this took so long. But I still love you all. So let that give you some lovely warm and fuzzies.
The goth thing is just a personal thing I somehow ended up putting in. I like em. Dunno why.
Anywho, review and all that. I'll see ya in the next chapter where ol Menma goes to Blighttown after setting up his sweet golden bowl.
