Hello everyone! Happy holidays! Sorry I took so long, I've been all over lately. Well, here ya go!
August 20th 2014 4:01PM
I.A threw herself at Meiko, the dark aura blocking Len and Rin's view from the heated battle above.
"This isn't good…" Len muttered aloud, keeping his blue eyes glued intensely to the dark clouds over him. "At this rate, Yohio, Yuma, and about every person within in ear range around here is gonna figure out that isn't just a rain cloud…"
"No freakin' kidding!" Rin replied rather coldly. "You know that crazy angel best, tell her to calm down or else she'll blow up the entire town!"
With one more mighty TWACK Rin had broken open the car's window. She reached inside and before Len could try to help, Oliver was on the pavement, hugging them both.
"It was scary!" Oilver screamed in English, holding on tightly to his older siblings. "I thought I was gonna be taken away forever and ever from you guys!"
Len, being the not-so-sentimental boy he was, just nodded with a shrug of his shoulders. "Yeah, don't worry though kid, we got you…That was what you were saying, right…?"
Oliver suppressed a smile and nodded. But as he stared up into the sky, his innocent smile quickly faded to something much darker. "Len, Rin, look!"
The youngster's twin siblings gazed up at the atmosphere, squinting their eyes to see what he did (Rin did anyway, as she needed glasses but refused to wear them for social standing reasons).
"What the hell is that…?" Len mumbled, mostly to himself. "It looks like some sort of missile headed to I.A. and that creepy girl's battle…Oh shi-"
As the cuss came from his mouth, a large sonic boom sound echoed over the world. Worse than the sound of ten thousand gunshots being fired at once, all three of the Kagamine kids had to cover their ears with their hands in a vain attempt to keep their sense of hearing. The three always closed their eyes, and missed the speeding sight of the "missile" going right over their heads.
I.A., however, couldn't miss it.
She spun her now black head over to the thing, her eyes blazing in blind rage. More than anything she wanted to devour the other Damned Soul and take her power for herself. While the part of her mind that was still an Angel did not understand why or how this action would benefit her, the Fallen One part of it did. However, it was unwilling to the share why, and instead made it into I.A.'s natural instinct; something she couldn't fight.
"My, my, my little followers did exactly what I told them." M.E. said with a grin, "Too bad those little disciples of mine died right after you unleased yourself, huh babe…"
I.A. saw the black-aura thing flap over to its master, keeping down low at her waist as if it was an obedient mindless slave dog. The Damned Soul could only make out that it had striking red eyes, burning bright as the sun. It had tattered wings as well, and from the looks of it, had obviously seen better days. The thing grumbled something she couldn't understand and looked at its ruler with blood-thirsty eyes.
"Ah, my pretty little boy, you've been through a whole lot, haven't you. It must've been so hard on you…" M.E. cooned to the monster of a thing, reaching down and lightly stroking its head softly. As she did, it let out a small sigh of comfort. "I promise, my little baby, I will keep you safe from all those nasty people around you. My wonderful little pet, I shall protect you as long as you are earnest and submissive to me…"
The monster nodded vigorously, and as it did, I.A. saw a glimpse of its true hair color. Blue, like the evening sky. Just like…
"K-K.A…?" She muttered, her dim hair transforming back into its pure snow-ish state. "W-What has happened to you…?"
"This dog-like brute it not your 'brother'." M.E. stated coldly, her words dreadful for I.A.'s ear drums. "He is only a brainless freak for me to control. After you disowned him, your own big brother, he was shot down by my underlings. After a few tests, or tortured, I decided that it would be best if I just stopped all of his pain once and for all. I drew some of my blood out with a syringe and gave it to his most vital part, his wings. My vulgar blood quickly overtook his angelic mind, and destroyed him. Now he is merely a soulless toy, ready to murder to his heart's content? Isn't that right, dear?"
What used to be the regal K.A. nodded his shaggy head, his eyes empty and cold as a giant endless black hole. He was nothing like the brother I.A. had grown up with. All his wittiness, his attachment, and his playfulness was but a memory. A memory that was already fuzzing in the young Damned Soul's mind. Now, the next prince of Beyond was a mere lapdog to a woman aiming to destroy it.
The world around her grew dim. The wind suddenly seemed much faster. The air surrounding her became alarmingly cold. Her strong nimble wings grew to feel like a thousand tons, weighting her down as she struggled to just flutter in place.
"Oh, come now Imperial Adversary," M.E. said as she wrapped her slender wings through K.A.'s straw-like blue locks. "Look at all the positives. Now, he will not have to carry the weight of Beyond on his shoulders. Instead of fearing for his helpless little sister, he'll not even remember her…Instead now he only knows her as food…"
It was too much. Down down down I.A. fell. The shock of Mischievous Exposition's scarring words had made her wings droop so low that she lost altitude and plummeted back to earth.
This can't be happening…it just can't be. I've lost everyone in my life…there is no reason to continue. She thought as her impending doom loomed closer and closer with each second. Everyone…I love you all…but you don't love me back. I am a Damned Soul, and that's all I will ever be...
I.A. closed her eyes, ready to death to come and take her. She hoped anyway, she did not know her full strength. In one swift WHOOSH, I.A. lost consciousness, and landed on the ground covered in blood.
But as she'd soon found out, it was not her own blood.
