Everything was destroyed, it seemed. The books were tattered and thrown off the shelves; all of the gear that was useful was taken, and anything worth Jonathan's time was gone or destroyed. Even Jace's bedroom looked rather empty, even with him having barely anything in it in the first place. Luckily, the roof garden hadn't been touched, and parts of the library were still intact. Marissa wasn't exactly sure what Jonathan had been looking for, but she presumed it was something only the Shadowhunters had.

"What are we going to do?" Clary asked, her face shaken and pale. Even with Jace to comfort her, her usual fiery hair seemed rather flat and deep shadows casted beneath her green eyes. She struggled to cope.

Magnud cleared his throat. "You're welcome at my house, until the Clave decides what to do. Just try to find anything out of the rubbel. He couldn't have destoryed everything."

It wouldn't surprise Marissa.

Yesterday night they had panicked after Magnus' text and they had left Camo Half-Blood to meet Isabelle, Simon, Alec and Magnus in-front of the calm looking church. But as they entered, and were lifted by the creaky elevator, Marissa could smell fire and burning flesh and anything else related to Jonathan.

She would've thought the Lightwoods would have been more upset to the matter; this was their home, the place they grew up. The home of their brother who is now deceased. But Clary, losing control, fell to her knees. Sobs escaped her until Jace hugged her so tight her small features dissapeared between himself and his black leather jacket.

"Now the question is, are you alright?"
"Not in the slighest." she answered truthfully, with a mere shrug. "Many memories from this place are long forgotten, but my heart knows, Nico. It knows somethings gone." Marissa sighed. "I guess I needed to let go."

Jace tried brightening up the mood by mentioning Taki's, being that most of them were worn out and hungry from searching through the rubble. They grabbed a bigger booth and squeezed in. They ordered food - Marissa and Clary both passing - and went into a deep conversation about the war. Jace was to start, his voice a whisper.

"Exactly what are we supposed to do about this? Clave is out of the question."

"Well, wouldn't they be suspicious if Sebastian stopped sending death threats?" Clary asked, biting her nails.

Jace smiled lazily. "Easy. Just say we killed him. He attacked, we killed. How easy is that?"

"Not easy when coming from you." Clary ignored his murderous glare. "Besides, we have the demigods. Why don't we meet back up at Half-Blood Hill and discuss battle plans? From there we can figure out where my asshole of a brother is." Before the food came, she slipped in one last sentence. "Then we drive a sword right through his heart."

After Taki's, the group headed to go their different ways. The Shadowhunters -excluding Clary and Jace - headed with Magnus to drop off some things and then head to Half-Blood Hill, and the rest of them took a drive from Luke to meet up. As they approached the hill, she could already see the line of demigods. Clustered together, they spoke loudly. Clarissa approached first, sword in hand, gruff as ever. Marissa stood back.

"Battle plans?" she raised her eyebrows.

"Yes," and Jace's voice changed. More professional, more composite and intelligent. "I'm guessing there are a number of you who will participate. A few high leaders, I suppose."

Clarissa looked offended. "Of course, Herondale. I'm hoping you're leaving the kids out of this." She glared at both Marissa and Nico.

"As always."

Marissa wanted to punch him right then.

Nico yawned, "I'd be happy if I were you," he said, "catch up on some sleep. Relax."

"I don't want to relax. I want to have a say."

"Well, you can't."

"I'm sixteen."

He smirked, "Not old enough."

She smacked him with a pillow, as they sat on the bed in the Poseidon cabin. The rest of the demigods went out to decide their war strategies, and as Jace says, "To swap ideas." But she knew most of this war had to do with her. Do with Claey, and Jace. But she was the only one who couldn't be apart of it, because apparently Jace and Percy had a right to say what she could and could not do. Cheers to brothers and cousins.

"We could do . . .things."

"Things?" she quirked an eyebrow.

"You know. . ." he whispered. Kissing, she thought briskly. And touching.

"Just. . .just hold me."

And he did just that.

Sorry for being gone for so long. It's summer right now and I can't believe in about a month it's going to be a year since I've posted this story. There's about two chapters left (I'm planning) and an epilouge. As of now, there is no sequel. But I will be trying to update my stories, Obsessed and Unspoken Words and then get around to it. Thanks if you're still reading.
