"You can just stop arguing it's not going to do you any good." Dean said crossing his arms. "You want to go back I go with you."
Hannah mirrored Dean's stance. "So what are you going to do lurk outside my classrooms?"
"If that's what it takes."
"You might as well give up it's been decided." John said coming in from the kitchen.
Hannah spun around. "Been decided. I don't remember talking about this."
Dean grinned. "You were asleep we didn't want to wake you."
Hannah glared at him. "I already walk to school with Sam and back with Sam. Now I'm supposed to be shadowed by the green eyed lurker."
"Is she still arguing?" Sam walked in carrying Ethan followed closely by Logan.
"Were you in on this?" Hannah turned on Sam.
"In on it, it was his damn idea." John said taking Ethan. He then faced Hannah his face full of emotion. "We almost lost a member of our family. That will not happen again."
Hannah sighed knowing she was never going to win this argument. Deep down she kind of didn't want to. Throwing up her hands she said. "Fine I give up you three win."
Logan walked over and tugged on Hannah's hand. Hannah knelt down so she was face to face with the boy. He threw his arms around her neck and hugged her tight. "Stay safe Aunty."
Hannah hugged the little boy. "How can I be anything but safe when I have the Winchester boys on my side?" She stood and walked over to John. She first kissed her son than John. She then turned and faced Sam and Dean. "All right you two lets go."
Going mostly through the motions Sam went from one class to another. He wasn't surprised when Arnold and Peter were nowhere to be found. At lunch Hannah tried to convince them that maybe they had given up and left. Sam and Dean knew better. Demons didn't give up that easy.
Sam had to force himself to pay attention in his classes his mind mostly on what was really going on. In his last class he saw Dean and Hannah out the window waiting for him. Hannah was sitting at the picnic table Dean was sitting on the table his eyes scanning the area completely on guard.
When class was over Sam grabbed his books and bag and headed toward the door. As he stepped out he turned to head toward the picnic table but something stopped him. He turned not really sure what it was. After waiting a few seconds he shrugged and headed toward his family. He didn't see the black eyes watching him closely.

"I cannot believe that you and Sam spend so much time in this place." Dean grumbled as he tipped his chair back. He looked around at what the school called a library. "I'm pretty sure we have more books than this place."
"Dean I'm going to be here for at least another hour. Why don't you step outside for some fresh air?"
"You know that's not going to happen. I just don't understand how you can sit in these chairs for so long."
Hannah smiled. "Practice." She handed him a piece of paper. "Why don't you find me these books?"
"No way, I'm sticking close to you."
"You just pointed out how small this place is." Hannah said. "Besides that book should be on that shelf right there you will be like what ten steps from me."
"That would be nine steps to many." Dean said.
"Look if you would do this I can get finished faster".
Sighing Dean took the paper. "Fine but you promise not to move."
"Can I at least breathe?"
"If you must." Dean said as he walked toward the shelves. As he looked for the books on her list he glanced back at Hannah who was again bent over her books and papers. After finding one he realized that the other one was on the other side of the case. Glancing around he saw that the only other person in the library was the librarian who was asleep at her desk. Stepping to the end of the row, so he could keep an eye on Hannah, he scanned the shelves as best he could. Just as he found the book the light over his head flickered. Dropping the books he turned to see Hannah standing looking at him. She went to say something but Dean held up his hand. Looking around he saw nothing at first then there was a slight move from his left. He motioned for Hannah to head toward the emergency exit as he moved toward her.
Grabbing her bag Hannah rushed toward the door. Without looking she knew Dean was right behind her. Reaching the door she turned the knob and instantly the alarm went off. Pushing the door open Hannah froze at the sight of Peter's grinning face.
"Not so fast."
Hannah tried to slam the door as she turned but Peter was faster. He stepped in and grabbed her wrist pulling her back toward him. As Hannah tried to pull her arm free she looked around for Dean. Her eyes landed on his crumpled form not far from her Arnold standing over him. The sight made Hannah stop fighting and Peter quickly tied her wrists behind her back and a gag around mouth.
Arnold walked over and leered at her. "Miss us?"
"I say we just kill them both and get it over with." Peter snapped his grip on her upper arm tightened making Hannah cringe in pain.
Shaking his head Arnold brushed a stray hair from Hannah's face. "You know that's not the plan. Dean is to live, this one though was not in the plan."
"Fine then lets…" Peter's grip tightened then released Hannah's arm. She stumbled forward and away from Arnold who was now looking toward the emergency exit. She looked down and saw Peter's body face down a knife sticking out of his back. Following Arnold's gaze she could just see someone standing inside the emergency exit. He was dressed all in black matching his black hair.
"This is no business of yours." Arnold said reaching over and grabbing Hannah's arm.
"Let her go and leave." Hannah was surprised at the power that seemed to be radiating from the man. "I don't want to hurt you."
"That's funny since you just killed my brother."
The man took a step forward and the lights flickered and exploded. As he came closer Hannah could see his bright blue eyes seemed to almost spark. "Let her go…please."
"What is she to you? We are just trying to put things back the way…" Arnold took a step back pulling Hannah with him. "You're the one. Aren't you? You're the one that's been doing this. You killed the first demon that was sent to befriend Sam. You killed the girl that was sent to steal him from her."
"I killed the demon's that were sent yes. But I don't want to kill you."
"Why?"
The man closed his blue eyes and took a deep breath. When he reopened his eyes Hannah saw that any kindness that had once been there was gone. "Let her go this is your last chance."
Arnold pulled Hannah in front of him. "You can't get me without going through her first. Now I'm leaving and you're going to let me."
In a blink the man was gone. She heard a soft. "I'm sorry" Before Arnold's grip tightened and Hannah saw a bright flash of light behind her. Hesitantly Hannah turned to see the man in black kneeling on the floor looking down at Arnold's body. She was surprised to see sadness in the man's eyes. After a moment he stood and looked at her. With her hands tied and the gag still in Hannah wasn't sure what to do. The man held his hands up to try and calm her. "I don't want to hurt you I'm going to untie your hands okay?"
Hannah nodded slightly. He walked over and first reached up and untied the gag then undid her hands.
"Thank you" Hannah said rubbing her wrists. The man only nodded as he turned and took a step toward Dean. "Stay away from him." Hannah rushed over and knelt next to Dean. She saw a small amount of blood on the back of his head.
"He is alive."
"I know" Hannah said as she looked around for her bag. She saw it lying near the emergency exit. The man had not moved any closer his head slightly tilted to the side. The alarm was still on and Hannah wandered why no one had showed up yet.
"I can help him." His voice was soft now and he took a step toward them.
Hannah searched Dean for his phone hers being in her bag. As she pulled it out and dialed Sam's number she looked up at the man. "Why should I trust you?"
The man only shrugged.
"I should be there in about five minutes Dean."
"Okay first off I'm pretty sure everything is okay." Hannah said looking back and forth at Arnold and Peter's bodies.
"Hannah what happened what's all that noise?"
"We're at the library just hurry please." She didn't wait for Sam to answer as she hung up and looked back at the man. "Who are you?"
"A friend"
"Not very talkative are you?"
Hannah was surprised to see a small smile cross the man's lips. "I must leave will you let me help him." The man was now standing next to Dean's body. Hannah slowly nodded. He reached down and touched the back of Dean's head. Hannah watched as the blood disappeared as well as the large bump. She looked up at the man who was now looking at her. He slowly reached in his coat and pulled out an old leather bound book. He held it out to her but she hesitated in taking it. The man smiled again. "You don't need to fear me. I am a friend. There are things in the book that will help protect your family. The demons will continue to try…" The man looked away.
Reaching out Hannah took the book from the man. "Thank you, for the book and healing Dean."
"You are welcome."
Dean moaned and turned his head slightly. Hannah looked down at him. When she looked back up the man was gone. Dean sat up and looked around. "What the hell happened?"
Hannah sat back sighed. "I can honestly say I have no idea."
