Team SABL Ch 21

Beacon Combat class

Silver stood over Jaune with his right foot on his chest and his sword to his throat. "Yield?"

Jaune struggled for a moment before giving up. "I yield."

"The winner of the match is Mister Daemon." Ms. Goodwitch spoke as the lights came back on. Jaune stood up as Silver stepped away from him.

"Mr. Arc you need to work your technique. Mr. Daemon, please refrain from taunting your opponent in the future." Ms. Goodwitch advised them as they exited the sparring arena Jaune with an air of defeat about him and Silver with an air of embarrassment.

"It was a large Pink Sword, most people actually tried to fight harder when I fought them with it. Jaune had tried, but seriously, I think I was better when I started training with ..." Silver kept thinking for a moment.

"Who taught me how to wield a sword?" Silver thought as he switched out of his new combat gear. Silver gauntlets and greaves took their spots on the shelves, a heavy dark purple coat hung on a coat hook now leaving him in a purple shirt and black cargo pants as he hung his sword up with his extra belts. He grabbed his school uniform and headed towards the showers.

Jaune soon joined him in the showers. "Thank god for privacy screens." Silver thought.

"Good match out there." Jaune said trying to make light of the match they had had.

Silver remained silent as he stood under the warm water.

"So, where did the pink sword come from?" Jaune asked as he started rinsing himself off.

"You've never heard of male bathroom etiquette?" Silver complained as he attacked his hair with a shampoo.

"No, I haven't. But don't change the subject." Jaune argued as he did his own hair.

"Muramasa returned it to me when we met." Silver ducked under the water to rinse his hair.

"Oh, so is what Professor Goodwitch said true? Were you taunting me?" Jaune sounded annoyed as rinsed his hair.

"Yes, it's part of how I fight. The angrier my enemy the more opening's they leave." Silver lathered up with body wash and rinsed it off.

Jaune remained quiet at that. Silver turned off his shower, toweled off and got dressed.

"Yeah know, I could teach you some swordsman ship." Silver offered as he walked out of the showers.

Jaune made a sound of surprise and then screamed about shampoo in his eye as he tried to respond. Silver went to his locker and grabbed his school bag. Once his clothes were in their smallest space consuming form Jaune walked around the lockers. His face was conflicted. One half wanted something and the other seemed to want to vomit.

"That offer for lessons, it's not because I suck right?"

Silver looked at him like it should be the reason and then thought better of it. "Not at all. It's just one guy trying to keep one of his few male friends alive longer. You could go on your own as you are and will definitely improve. I'm just trying to see it happen faster."

Jaune perked up at that. "Yeah, sure. Uh, we'll set up a time and date latter right?" All of a sudden he was a bundle of nerves.

"Yeah, we'll do that." Silver walked out of the locker room.

"Thank you." Jaune called after him.

"Why does that feel like a very awkward pick up? I'm straight right?" Silver thought about his teammates in lingerie.

"Yep, totally straight."
