Chapter Twenty One- Pictures Of You

Audrey's P.O.V

After Damon, Stefan, and I had recovered from the shock of Elena's outburst, we realized that we would have to clean up the mess that she had made before someone noticed. Luckily we had been the only patrons in the diner and the cook had called it quits hours earlier which meant that we only had to take care of Jolene's body. Damon decided that he would take care of that, leaving Stefan and I by ourselves. We walked out of the diner and I headed over to my car, fully aware of Stefan following after me. As I opened the driver's side door Stefan asked if he could get a ride back with me, claiming that it would be easier than just waiting for Damon to get back. I just nodded, not feeling up to arguing with him as we both got into the car and drove off towards Mystic Falls, Stefan calling Damon to let his brother know what was going on. It was obvious that he wanted to say something but nearly an hour into the drive he hadn't said a word. After another twenty minutes I finally got fed up and decided to break the uncomfortable silence.

"So are you gonna say it or just sit there?" I questioned, keeping my eyes focused on the road in front of me

"Say what?" Stefan asked and I quirked an eyebrow and looked in his direction, "Fine, you got me. It's just, I know that we haven't been getting along lately with everything going on with Elena and I but, you do know that you can still talk to me right?"

"Why do I feel like this has something to do with me turning off my humanity?" I sighed as we drove down the empty road. It wasn't that much of a leap to assume that Stefan wanted to know what had happened but I had hoped that I wouldn't have to deal with it just yet.

"I know what it's like, Audrey." Stefan said, "Becoming this other person that does terrible things and having to deal with the consequences of those actions everyday. The last time I turned off my humanity you were there for me and now I'm gonna be here for you. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to but I'm ready to listen if you do."

The silence returned when Stefan finished his speech as I decided what I was going to do. I could easily ignore him and keep everything bottled up but I figured that would end badly. While I didn't want to talk about what I had, I knew that Stefan would at least understand.

"I hurt people, Stefan." I spoke up as I did my best to avoid Stefan's gaze, "Killed people, innocent people. And I did it because I could, because I thought it was fun. Hell, I killed an entire family just to prove a point to Alaric. I ended the lives of dozens of people and I can't take that back, no matter how much I try." I took my eyes off of the road and looked over at Stefan for a moment as I continued, "And if I hadn't been stopped I would have killed so many more."

"How were you stopped?" Stefan asked. It was a valid question, not many vampire's just turn their humanity back on willingly.

"Believe it or not, Lexi. Along with Jeremy and Alaric." I heard Stefan begin to question how three ghosts could help me so I quickly cut him off, "Apparently Lexi has a very powerful witch friend willing to help her get me to turn my humanity back on. Let's just say a few hours of torture was enough for me."

We lapsed into another few minutes of silence before Stefan choose to break the silence again.

"Just so you know, it helps if you focus on a single emotion after you turn your humanity back on." I felt my hand go to the necklace Damon had given me as he continued, "Makes it easier to deal with everything." I nodded but said nothing in return, deciding to turn the radio onto some top 40 station to lighten the mood.

The sun was just beginning to rise as we got back to the boarding house. The rest of the ride had been spent with Stefan filling me in on everything that had happened since I had gone AWOL. Not only had Elena been a pain in the ass to every Mystic Falls resident and teamed up with Rebekah of all people, but apparently Bonnie had been brainwashed by Silas and forced into completing the expression triangle. Basically everything had gone to hell. Luckily Bonnie was back to herself and refusing to do the spell Silas needed to get rid of the veil between this world and the Other Side, so for the moment we were safe to deal with the Elena problem.

I turned off the Impala's engine and got out of the car as Stefan called Damon to see how far out he was. I left Stefan to deal with that as I headed inside. I opened the door, expecting to see the boarding house in its usual pristine condition, but came face to face with a parlor covered in half empty bottles of various alcohol and solo cups.

"What the hell happened here?" I blurted out to no one in particular. I heard the sound of footsteps coming in my direction and turned to the sound.

"Finally, someone else to help clean up this mess." Aurora's voice came from down the hallway and I watched as she entered the parlor with a trash bag in hand. Her eyes went wide when she saw me and stopped a few feet in front of me, becoming silent instantly.

"Hey." I greeted awkwardly to my best friend. As soon as the words were out of my mouth, Aurora dropped the bag in her hand and vamp sped forward, wrapping her arms around me tightly. I was surprised by her sudden embrace but happy that she didn't seem mad at me. "I think you're gonna break my spine if you keep hugging me so hard." I said with a laugh, causing her to pull back.

"Oh my God, where have you been? What happened? Does Damon know that you're back? Was Damon the one that found you?" Aurora asked question after question not giving me a second to respond to any of them

"Aurora." I said forcefully, grabbing her by the shoulders in an attempt to get her to stop asking questions, "I can't answer you if you bombarded me with so many questions."

"Sorry." She apologized with a small smile, taking a deep breath before continuing, "I just want to know what happened. The last time I saw you, you were telling Damon you were gonna meet us at the boarding house and then you just disappeared for three weeks. Everyone's been so worried about you and Damon was going crazy looking for you. "I flinched when she mentioned Damon but if Aurora noticed, she didn't say a word, "I swear it was worse than when Stefan went missing last summer. So does he know you're back? Because if not you need to call him, like now."

"He knows, Aurora." I said quietly, not bothering to elaborate further at the moment as Stefan walked in.

"Damon's about an hour out." He told me and I nodded in response. Stefan didn't seem at all fazed by the thrash covering the boarding house, leaving me to wonder what exactly had happened while I was gone.

"Would someone like to explain why there is trash everywhere?" I questioned my friends as I kicked an empty solo cup to the side.

"Oh, yeah, Elena had a giant party filled with Grove Hills cheerleaders so she could feed on people without having to deal with the vervain." Aurora answered me but before I could even say anything she grabbed the trash bag and handed it to Stefan, "Which I will explain, after you tell me exactly what happened when you were gone. Stefan, you can finish cleaning up." Aurora then grabbed my hand and pulled me up the stairs to her room, leaving a slightly confused Stefan to deal with the mess.

The days following my return to Mystic Falls had been fairly uneventful. I had filled Aurora in on turning off my humanity and teaming up with Katherine and, while she had been shocked, she seemed to understand for the most part, which made explaining it much easier. Elena had returned as well and was living with Rebekah, luckily Elena hadn't killed anyone but only because we hadn't been going after the Cure. I really only had to deal with two things the last eight days, the first being Damon. I had pretty much been avoiding him like the plague and actually locked myself in the room for two days just so I wouldn't bump into him. Luckily Aurora had been bringing all the homework that I had missed, so it wasn't hard to keep myself busy. It's not that I didn't want to be around Damon but I just couldn't handle the looks of anger, hurt, or betrayal I'm sure I would see if I was around him.

My other problem was hunger. After spending three straight weeks drinking my fill of blood straight from the vein, saying that it was difficult to switch back to blood bag was the understatement of the decade. The first one I drank made me gag and it took me five days just to get used to the taste of the stale blood. The blood bags were doing their job but I wasn't sure how hard it would be to be around a human with fresh blood coursing through their veins.

Which brings us to today. Senior prom. The day that everybody looks forward to during their four years of high school. The last hurrah together before everyone goes their separate ways to colleges around the country. I stood in the room that I had used before Damon and I had started sharing one, staring at the prom dress that I had picked out three months ago as it lay on my bed. Sure a few months ago I had been looking forward to prom as much as Caroline, but now just the thought of going filled me with dread. After I had returned I hadn't even planned on going, I thought I was just going to spend the night avoiding Damon as I worked on all the school work I had been trying to get caught up on over the last week. It wasn't until I had gotten a call from Caroline five minutes ago in which she told me that Elena planned on going to the prom along with Rebekah, that I knew I was going to have to go in order to stop Elena from doing anything else she was going to regret, like killing the entire Senior class.

I looked away from the dress on the bed and headed toward the door, finally gaining enough courage to go downstairs and tell Damon and Stefan what was going on tonight. While I might not enjoy the awkwardness of the situation I was putting myself into, it was necessary. If I was gonna help Elena, I was going to need both of them to help me. As I walked down the stairs, I headed down to the living room to where I could hear them talking about the very doppelganger we were going to have to deal with in just a few hours.

"So what are we going to do? Throw the football around for another hundred and fifty years until Elena get's her humanity back?" Stefan asked as I hit the bottom of the stairs, heading in the direction of the living room, "Because I'm cool with that."

"She doesn't want the cure." I froze when I heard Damon reply. I knew that he would be down here but the thought of seeing him for the first time in eight days made me want to turn around and head back upstairs to my room. But I knew that I was gonna have to face him eventually and I was going to need his help with Elena. So, after taking a deep breath, I continued toward the sound of their conversation, "She's gonna start killing people if she knows we're still trying to get it for her."

"We could always make her want it." I spoke up as I entered the room, gaining the attention of both of the Salvatore brothers. When the looks got to be too much I looked down at the floor and continued, "You know, get her to turn her humanity switch back on." As they continued to remain silent I headed over to the small table filled with alcohol and poured myself a glass of bourbon. Before I could even get the glass off the table Damon seemed to break out of his stupor and spoke up.

"So what are we going to do?" He asked, setting the football he and Stefan had been throwing down on one of the couches, "Pull a Lexi and bombard her with emotions till on of them sticks?"

"It worked for me." I said calmly before downing my drink, not knowing if Stefan had told him how my humanity had been turned back on. By the lack of a confused outburst I took it that he was in the loop.

"If that doesn't work then we go to plan B." Stefan started, making his way back into the conversation as I poured myself a second glass of bourbon, "Lock her up, keep her sidelined until we can come up with a plan C."

"And what happens when she gets slammed with every emotion she's repressed since Jeremy died?" Damon asked Stefan but I decided to answer him myself

"She'll be broken because her little brother is dead and he didn't come back this time. Then she's gonna realize that she killed an innocent person and it's gonna get worse. But I'll be there for her so I can fix the mess I made." I replied, taking a sip from my drink before continuing, "But first we have to get her to turn her humanity back on."

"How do you wanna do this?" Stefan questioned

"Well, lucky for us, tonight is the most sentimental dance of all of high school and Elena just happens to be going." I said as I headed back toward the hall, not bothering to look back as I finished with, "Hope you guys have your suits ready, we're going to prom."

Aurora and I stood in front of a full length mirror in her room at the boarding house, looking at the result of hours of getting ready for prom. Unlike me, Aurora was genuinely excited for tonight, not that I could blame her, she looked amazing in her dress and she had a boyfriend that didn't hate her guts and was taking her. I sighed as I looked at my reflection in the mirror, feeling sad that such a beautiful dress was going to waist on what I was expecting to be a pretty terrible night. The deep purple ball gown was strapless with a tight bodice that was covered in an intricate black lace design. The lace was stopped at my waist by a purple sash, the bottom half of the dress flaring out until it stopped about two inches off the ground leaving my matching purple pumps barely visible. I had left my hair down in soft curls that fell down to the middle of my back. As for jewelry nothing had changed, I still wore Jeremy's ring next to my daylight ring and had the necklace Damon had given to me securely around my neck, not caring that they didn't match the dress at all.

"We are going to be the two hottest girls there." Aurora said cheerily, pulling me out of my musings and I gave her a noncommittal nod as the doorbell rang signally Jace's arrival, "Jace is here!" Aurora said and I couldn't help the small smile that made its way onto my face at my friends excitement as she headed out of the room. She suddenly stopped as if she had just remembered something and turned back around to face me, "Do you want to ride with us?"

"No need." Damon said, appearing in the doorway of Aurora's room, looking as irresistible as ever in his tux, answering my friend before I had a chance to even think of a response, "She's riding with Stefan and I."

Aurora shot a look in my direction and I nodded, letting her know that it was okay. She said goodbye and I watched her head out of the room, leaving Damon and I standing there awkwardly. Neither of us said anything for a few minutes as I avoided eye contact and it wasn't until I heard Damon walking into the room did I look toward him.

"I got you this." he said, holding up a corsage made with a single purple rose, "I know, kind of cheesy. But it's your first prom, so why not?" Damon stopped right in front of me and was about to grab for my hand before he thought better of it, "May I?'

"Sure." I replied lamely, looking anywhere but his eyes as he took my hand gently and slipped the corsage onto my wrist. He held my hand for a few seconds before letting it go and clearing his throat.

"We should probably go." Damon suggested, "Stefan's waiting for us in the limo and the longer we make him wait, the broodier he's gonna get."

I couldn't help but laugh at that as we headed out of Aurora's room, slipping back into silence as we made our way down the stairs. At least for now it seemed like Damon wasn't too pissed at me but god knows he's good at hiding what he's really feeling. I slid into the limo first, sitting across from Stefan who was drinking a glass of champagne.

"A limo stocked with champagne, I see you guys went all out." I commented, grabbing myself a glass of champagne from the small bar as Damon took a seat next to me

"Yeah, well, I figured we were gonna need it tonight." He replied, also grabbing a glass as the limo began moving out of the drive

It didn't take long to get to Rebekah's house and we pulled up just as Elena was walking out. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Stefan step out of the car holding a bouquet of flowers for her.

"I don't need a babysitter." Elena bit out

"Really?" Stefan asked, holding her ground, "Because the last time I saw you, you snapped a waitresses' spine."

"Got you to stop looking for the cure, didn't it." Elena snapped, Damon and I took this as our cue and vamp sped out of the limo, moving to stand in front of Elena as she tried to head back into Rebekah's house.

"Yep but we have to make sure you hold up your end of the deal." Damon said as she took a step back, "Don't eat the prom queen." As Damon spoke I looked down at the dress and immediately recognized it as the one Caroline had picked out months ago.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me." I groaned, causing Damon, Elena, and Stefan to look in my direction, confusion written on the faces of the Salvatore brothers, "You stole Caroline's dress?"

"If you ask me, I'm doing it a favor." Elena smirked as she moved past Stefan and into the limo. I sighed before getting in after her, quickly followed by Damon and Stefan. I could already tell this was going to be a very long night.

It was a relief when we finally made it to the prom, the ride over had been terrible and I had found myself wanting to move straight into plan B. Maybe it would be better if we just locked her ass up until we could figure out another way to get her to turn her humanity back on. Unfortunately, by the time I had gotten to this level of annoyance, we were already walking down the red carpet together.

"Where's the disco ball?" Damon joked as we continued down the red carpet, passing large screens that had pictures of the senior class, one fading into another every few seconds.

"Caroline's been working on this for awhile." I answered him, "It's a photo yearbook of the senior class."

We stopped about half way to the door and I watched as the picture on one of the screens changed to one of Matt and Elena that had to be at least a few years old.

"Isn't that a photo from the first day of freshman year?" Stefan asked Elena as she stared at the picture

"My mom took that when she dropped us off." I felt my heart drop when the picture changed to reveal one of Jeremy, Elena, and I from the beginning of the year, "I'm gonna get a seizure if I keep staring at these screens." Elena added as she took off her coat and headed inside. Stefan and Damon followed her reluctantly but was held in place by the next picture that made its way onto the screen. One of me and Damon with smiles plastered on our faces as we danced together at the sixties decade dance last year. A small smile formed on my lips as I pulled away from the screen and headed inside after the others.

As soon as we entered the prom we went off in different directions, Stefan in charge of Elena for the time being. I wandered around the room for a while, keeping an eye on Elena just in case she tried to attack anyone and needed to be stopped. While she hadn't hurt anyone physically, I had seen Bonnie run out of the building shortly after we had arrived when she had finished a conversation with Elena. She was two for two on pissing off her best friends and if she kept this up they wouldn't be able to forgive her when this was all over.

I took a seat at an empty seat as I watched everyone else have a great time. This prom was really beginning to suck. While all the other seniors were having the time of their lives I was stuck babysitting an emotionless vampire and living through every girls nightmare by sitting by myself at prom. I got to my feet just as a slow song was beginning to play deciding that, if I was gonna be this pathetic ,I might as well find the limo and get another drink. After seeing that Elena and Stefan were dancing together, I turned to head outside only to bump into Damon.

"Ah, just the girl I was looking for." Damon said with a smirk as I took a step back to look at up at him, "I hope you weren't planning on running out before I could ask you to dance?"

"Actually I was going to-" I began but Damon quickly cut off my excuse

"Come on, Audrey, just one dance?" Damon asked, making the most adorable pouty face that I was finding very hard to resist. I mean come on, a hundred and seventy year old vampire shouldn't be so damn adorable, "Please?"

"Fine." I sighed, allowing him to take hold of my hand and lead me onto the dance floor.

He stopped when we were standing near the middle of the dance floor and I stiffened when I felt his free hand move to my waist while he interlocked our fingers on the other. I knew I shouldn't feel so awkward around Damon, but I had been avoiding him for eight days for a reason, trying to avoid the consequences of my disappearing act from Mystic Falls only to be found in cahoots with Katherine. We swayed to the music in silence for a few minutes, me refusing to look him in the eyes the entire time, before Damon finally spoke up.

"So, are you going to tell me exactly why you have been avoiding me since you got back?" Damon asked as we continued to dance

"I haven't been avoiding you." I replied lamely. I didn't even sound convincing to myself so it was no surprise that Damon didn't believe my lie.

"Really? That's what you're going with?" Damon said incredulously, "We live in the same house, Audrey. You've been back for eight days and today was the first time I have even seen you. It's not that hard to realize that you're avoiding me."

"Just leave it alone, Damon." I said, looking him in the eyes for the first time since I had come home, giving the dismissal approach a try only for that to fail miserably as well.

"No, I'm not gonna leave it alone, Audrey!" Damon snapped in a whisper, trying not to draw the attention of any of the other prom goers, "You disappeared for three weeks and I finally get you back and you won't even talk to me! I want to know why."

"Because of this Damon." I whispered back angrily, removing my hand from his to gesture between us, "I'm trying to kept myself together right now and I'm already failing without you being pissed at me. I already have to deal with Jeremy being dead, Elena being an emotionless bitch because of me, and the fact that I killed sixty people without so much as flinching. I've been avoiding you because I knew you hated me for leaving and teaming up with Katherine and I couldn't handle seeing you look at me like that. Not with eve-"

I was suddenly cut off by Damon's lips crashing into mine and I felt my eyes widen in confusion as he moved the hand that I had previously been holding to cup my cheek. I had definitely not been expecting this. Before I even had a chance to kiss him back, he pulled back and I just looked up at him in shock trying to figure out what was going on.

"I don't hate you, Audrey." Damon said quietly, his thumb gently rubbing my cheek as he continued, "I could never hate you. I was just hurt. You left and I did everything I could to find you but came up empty, only to find you with my vixen nemesis. But I can't blame you for it because you weren't yourself. I'm just happy you're back and semi-sane." I wasn't sure how to respond to that so I continued to stare at him in shock, "Please tell me you're gonna say something after I just confessed that with Stefan level sappiness."

I couldn't help but smile at that. Instead of replying I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought my lips back to his, returning to favor and surprising him this time but it only took him second to come to his senses and start kissing me back forcefully. I wove my hands through his hair as our lips moved in sync, trying to get him as close to me as possible. The kiss didn't last long since I had to pull myself away from him to keep myself from going overboard in the middle of the prom. I smirked when I heard him groan in protest and chose to rest my forehead on his instead of separating fully.

"I really have missed you." Damon said as we started swaying again, neither of us paying attention to the song that was currently playing

"I missed you too." I replied simply

"Audrey!" I pulled away from Damon, turning around towards the direction of familiar voice and coming face to face with Jeremy

"What is it?" Damon asked in confusion as I continued to stare at my dead cousin

"Jeremy." I said as I turned back to Damon, "It's Jeremy. Meet me outside in five minutes okay?" I didn't wait for an answer before heading off in the direction of the sectioned off room behind the stage where the prom queen and king were going to be announced, hoping to talk to Jeremy in what little privacy I could get. As soon as we were alone I turned around to face him, "Where have you been?"

"It's not important right now, Audrey." Jeremy said urgently and I was about to tell him he was out of his mind if he didn't think it was important only for him to continue before I could get the words out, "Listen, Silas is here."

"What?" I questioned, my blood running cold. Of course Silas would show up today when we were already dealing with Elena. I swear, I couldn't get a freaking break. "Where the hell is he?"

"He was in the woods with Bonnie earlier, pretending to be me." Jeremy said as I immediately turned to walk back out but Jeremy just reappeared in front of me, "Wait a minute. Bonnie figured out that it wasn't me and is on her way back here. I lost track of Silas and he could be anyone right now."

"Friggin' fantastic, Jeremy." I groaned as I walked around him to go and warn Damon, "Thanks for the heads up."

"Be careful." Jeremy warned as I made my way through the throngs of people toward the exit.

I sighed in relief when I finally made it through the crowd of dancing teenagers and out of the tent into the cool night air. The relief was short lived though when I remembered why I had come out here in the first place. I looked around and saw no sign of Damon so I began to walk further down the red carpet. As I continued to look around I heard a pained groan and followed the noise to where Damon was leaning against a tree with a stake sticking out of his stomach.

"Damon!" I called out as I ran over to him, quickly kneeling down to his level to pull out the stake. "Let me guess. Silas?"

"Good guess." Damon said as I helped him to his feet, "The freak disguised himself as Stefan and he was pretty convincing up until the point where he staked me and told me that the witch was his."

"He's trying to get Bonnie back under his control so he can get her to bring down the veil. Guess he's getting tired of us getting in the way." I told him as his wound started to heal itself, "Look, why don't you go find Stefan and tell him what's going on before Silas gets the jump on him too."

"What about you?" Damon asked

"To find Bonnie. I haven't seen her since Elena ran her out of the Prom and I have to make sure that Silas doesn't get into her head." I answered before heading off in the direction of the school.

I searched every inch of the school for Bonnie only to come up empty handed. I walked out of the school and was going to head back to the tent where the Prom was being held to see if she had gone back just as every alarm of the cars in the parking lot went off. I looked around as the wind started to pick up around me, trying to find the source. I caught sight of Bonnie on the other side of the lot and started walking towards her as the wind threw leaves violently around the lot, making it difficult to make my way to Bonnie. Just as suddenly as everything had begun, it stopped and the lot was absolutely quite as Bonnie looked around for something, not catching sight of me. Before I could get to her, Elena came out of nowhere and sank her fangs into Bonnie's neck.

"Elena stop!" I yelled as I ran at top vampire speed to Bonnie and pushed Elena to the ground. Elena immediately got back to her feet and tackled me to the ground, looking extremely pissed that I stopped her from killing Bonnie. With a look, I sent her flying a few feet back and before she could get up this time, she began screaming and holding her head in pain. I looked back towards Bonnie and saw her glaring at Elena and I assumed she was giving Elena one of her witchy migraines.

"Bonnie, stop." I heard Stefan demand as he and Damon made their way toward us. Stefan made a beeline for Elena while Damon came over to me and helped me get back to my feet. Elena's screams became louder as Bonnie continued to stare at her.

"Bonnie, you're killing her!" I snapped as I walked up to Bonnie, stepping in between her and Elena

"I don't care." Bonnie said coolly, not at all fazed by what I had said

"Bonnie, please." Elena begged and I turned around to see fear in her eyes as blood trickled from her nose.

It didn't seem like Bonnie was going to let up on her own so I looked her right in the eye and said, "Bonnie, you need to stop." as calmly as I could and I watched as the anger slowly disappeared from her eyes. Elena's cries cutt off instantly and I could tell that my plan had worked., though I wasn't sure if I should be happy that I could so easily influence Bonnie's mind. If I could do it than that meant it would be no problem at all for Silas to.

"You okay, Witchy?" Damon asked as I took a step away from Bonnie

"No, I'm not okay!" Bonnie snapped at Damon's idiotic question, "I almost died. The shell of my best friend almost killed me. None of this is okay." With that, Bonnie stomped off in the direction of the prom and I focused my attention back on Elena as Stefan helped her up. As soon as she was on her feet, Elena nearly fell back down but I quickly grabbed hold off her before she could hit the ground.

"Woah, I got you Elena" I assured her and took this opportunity to snap her neck, causing her to go limp in my arms.

"Guess we're going with plan B then." Damon said as I handed Elena over to Stefan who took her without a word.

"Yep." I replied as I brushed some dirt off of the back of my dress, "But first someone's gonna have to explain to the limo driver why we're dragging along an unconscious girl with us."

We made it back to the boarding house without any problems, Damon compelling the limo driver to forget everything that had happened tonight and giving him a very generous tip. After the limo driver was gone, I followed Damon down to the cellar where Stefan had taken the still unconscious Elena.

"She might not feel much, but she's gonna feel that in the morning." Damon said as we stood in the doorway, watching as Stefan set Elena down on the cot against the back wall of the cellar.

"So what's the plan?" Stefan asked shortly, clearly not in the mood to deal with his brother at the moment

"When Bonnie was giving Elena one of those witchy migraines early, Elena was scared." I told them as Stefan walked over to us, " I could see it in her eyes. She thought she was gonna die and she was terrified because of it."

"Fear." Stefan stated simply, realizing what I was implying

"Last time I checked, one of those pesky human emotions." Damon added with a look in my direction

"Which means we head right into plan C." I said as I looked between both Salvatore brothers, "We make her life a living hell."

"Either of you care to talk about our other problem?" Damon questioned Stefan and I was we walked out of the cellar and Stefan shut the door, "You know, the one that can be anyone, anywhere, anytime?"

"Silas still needs Bonnie. And if tonight is any indication, she's no pushover." Unless someone can get into her head, I thought to myself as Stefan continued, "She's not gonna let him manipulate her. Not anymore."

"I wouldn't underestimate his talents. He fooled the hell out of both of us. " Damon said, not believing for a second that we were out of the woods with brainwashed Bonnie, "What did he say to you anyway?"

"He led me out in the woods claiming he saw Silas and then he staked me." Stefan told Damon as I leaned against the cellar door, "How'd he get to you?"

"He talked about his hair. Figured it had to be you." Damon dismissed and I didn't miss the look he sent in my direction before he headed back toward the stairs, leaving me to believe whatever Silas had said had something to do about me. Just fantastic. I sighed as I pushed myself off of the door and followed after him. When Damon realized that Stefan wasn't following us he stopped and turned back to where Stefan was looking through the small window on the cellar door at Elena. "You coming?"

"Yeah." Stefan said after a moment and we all headed upstairs to the parlor to plan our next move
