CH.21 Teenage Dream

Yelena shut her Mac Book Pro and stretched, rubbing her eyes. Staring at te screen for two hours was starting to give her a headache. Her phone chimed on the pillow beside her, alerting a new text

Hey there Sunshine

xRandy

Hey Randy. What's up?

xYelena

Nothing much, thinking about the favor you still owe me. Feel like repaying your debt?

xRandy

I don't have much of a choice, do I ?

xYelena

Nope. Meet me downstairs in 30

xRandy

Demanding aren't you? And if I refuse?

xYelena

You'll never see your I.D. again ;-)

xRandy

Yelena laughed. She had forgotten all about her I.D. badge. A small smile plastered on her face, she went into the bathroom to brush her messy hair and changed out of her ratty old sweats and tank top combo and into something more presentable. She collected her phone and room key before she rode the elevator down to the lobby where Randy was waiting

"I'm starting to think you're using my I.D. as a way to cover up that you might be a bit of a stalker." she joked as he pulled her in for a hug

"You keep the name calling up" he smirked, releasing her "and you'll never get this back" he taunted, holding her badge above her head

She tried to snatch it away, but he raised it out of her reach

She followed Randy out of the hotel doors and to his rental. He opened the passenger door for her and let her settle in before closing it and circling around to the driver's side, sliding behind the wheel. The chatted the whole drive and Yelena found herself relaxed by his easy-going nature. They pulled into the parking lot at the end of a board walk where a small carnival was taking place

"I hope you're ready for some fun." Randy smiled

The walked for a little bit before Yelena's eyes caught a cute yellow bear hanging up over one of the games. Randy noticed her looking, and pulled her over towards it

"Come on." he said, gently taking her by the hand

The game was basketball and it seemed easy enough. Shoot five hoops, win a prize. Randy payed the man and he lined up five balls in front of him. He shot three, sending them sailing into the net without batting an eye before turning to Yelena, offering her a turn

"No way, I'm way to uncoordinated" she said, waving her hands in front of her

"Come on, it's not hard. Here, I'll even help you." he said, pulling her over to him so she stood in front of him. He handed her the ball, resting his chin on her shoulder "Hold it like this" he whispered in her ear

Yelena fought the shiver that ran down her spin at his closeness. "Pull yourself together Lena" she told herself as he placed his hands on top of hers

"And lift your arms a bit like this" he said, sliding his hands down to her elbows. He raised them a little before placing his hands back on hers "And shoot." he told her

She tossed the ball with his help and it sunk right through the hoop "I did it!" she squealed

"Great job." he laughed, finding her excitement cute. He reached around her and picked up the last ball "Think you can shoot the winning ball?"

She nodded, taking the ball from him

"No pressure." he said, resting his hands lightly on her waist

Yelena tried to focus on the net and not her heart threatening to beat right through her chest at his touch. She held the ball like he taught her and tossed it, sending it perfectly through the net. She smiled as she turned to him and the double high fived

"Nice shot." he complimented "Pretty good... for a girl." he joked. Instead of releasing her hands, he linked his fingers through hers as they dropped, pulling her closer

Yelena rolled her eyes playfully as the man asked which prize Randy wanted

"That one." he said, pointing to the yellow bear. The man took it down and handed it to him. Randy passed it to Yelena with a smile

"Thank you" she said, hugging the bear to her chest.

They continued down the walk and Randy casually through his arm around her shoulder

"So what's next?" he asked

Yelena looked around and spotted their next activity "Next, I beat you in Go-carts." she said with a devious smile.

"Oh really?" he laughed

"Yes really." she challenged

"Game on" he said

She ended up beating him in a race. They played other games and Yelena was having a blast. They stopped at an ice cream place on their way back to the car and they ate in a comfortable silence, leaning against the wooden rails overlooking the water. It was six thirty and the sun was beginning to sink below the horizon, casting an orange glow.

"It's beautiful." she said, spooning more of her mini sundae into her mouth.

"Yeah... beautiful" he agreed, but he wasn't talking about the setting sun. He was talking about the way the orange glow made her look like some type of Greek Goddess. Her hair whip around her face as the wind off of the ocean blew and her green eyes sparkled brightly. How did she look so enchanting and she was only simply eating icecream?

"You have a little chocolate on your..." he trailed. A blush formed on her cheeks as she slipped the napkin from around her cup off

"Wait." Randy said, moving closer to her. Her glittering green irises looked at him questioningly as his hand cupped her face "Allow me." he whispered, leaning down to touch his lips to her's for a sweet kiss. And sweet indeed it was. He kissed her softly, guaging her reaction. He had to stop himself from ravishing her mouth greedily. She placed a small hand on his chest and for a second, he thought she would push him away, but instead, she pulled him closer and he inwardly sighed with relief.

Yelena couldn't believe this was happening. Her head was spinning and her whole body tingled from head to toe, but a though snapped her out of it. Chris. She pulled away with a small gasp

Randy released her "Sorry. I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to-"

"Don't apologize. It was... nice." she said with a small smile. She wanted to tell him that it was more than nice. That if the chance presented itself, she would gladly do it again... and again, but she didn't want to kiss him while thinking of someone else. It wasn't fair to him. She bit her lower lip as Randy stroked her cheek lightly with the back of his hand

"You don't even know how long I've been waiting to do that." he told her. The blush on her cheeks grew darker as she chewed on her bottom lip. Randy had to stop himself from reclaiming that bottom lip as his own. He smiled down at her and placed a kiss on her forehead, before taking her hand. He figured that he didn't have to say anything because now she knew. He wanted her. And one day, he was going to make her his.

The drive back to the hotel was spent in a comfortable silence. He walked her to her room and watched as she slid the key in the door and opened it before turning back to him

"I had a really nice time" she said with a smile, hugging the bear to her

"I did too. We should do this again sometime."

"Yeah we should." she agreed

Randy took a chance and laid a chaste kiss on her cheek "Goodnight Yelena." he said, turning to leave

She watched him go and was about to shut the door when her name rang out in the hallway. She poked her head back out and all in one swift motion, Randy snatched her up into his arms and kissed her. It wa a slow, agonizing, burning kiss that left her breathless and lightheaded when he released her

"I think this belongs to you." he whispered, folding her I.D. into her hand. He swept a lock of stray hair away from her face and pecked her on the lips one last time "Sweet Dreams"

And without looking back, he left. Yelena closed the door, a goofy grin on her face as she slid down it. Her heart was slamming wildly against her chest and she felt like a teenager all over again "Sweet Dreams Randy" she whispered, hugging the yellow teddy bear close to her heart.

Cute? Hope you liked it. Leave me a review! :-)
