The End

When Thranduil open his eyes all he could see was bright light, but as his focus became more clear he could make out the face that was holding his hand and looking down at him. It was Lavenyia his beloved wife.

"Thranduil can you hear me love?" Said Lavenyia looking down at him, while still holding his hand.

"Yes, he said in a soft tone voice, am I dead has my soul united with you?"

"Oh no Thranduil you are not dead, you are alive, you have been asleep for two days, resting gaining your strength back"

"You are not dead Lavenyia?" Thranduil said in a weak voice.

"No Thranduil I never was."

Lavenyia explained to her husband how the spell over her was broken. For the spell to be lifted it needed an act of true love to break it. Thranduil had done just that, not alone did he save Legolas from Death, but free her from the curse.

You mean I can see you now, I can touch you." Said Thranduil has he reached out to caress her face.

"Yes, Thranduil we are together again just as I always hoped." Said Lavenyia. Thranduil wanted to reach out to kiss her, but he was still too weak. Lavenyia told him not to struggle but to rest and gain his and she lead down herself and gave him a soft kiss, for the past two days she never left his side.

"Legolas, where is Legolas, is he alright" Ask Thranduil.

"Thranduil he's here he's right here, he never left your side the whole time" As she spoke Legolas then approached his adar where he rested. Lavenyia excused herself to get Thranduil some water, but mostly she wanted father and son to talk alone.

Legolas sat by his adar side, Thranduil look up at him and touched the side of face. He smiled Legolas skin was warm, his beloved was right, Legolas was alive.

"Adar I've been, right by your side I never left you as you healed." Said Legolas.

"I am so happy you are alive little green leaf." Said Thranduil

"It is because of you that I am alive Adar, you saved me. Said Legolas looking back at his adar

"Adar, you were going to give up your life for me, you would have died,"

"Yes, I know Legolas"

"Adar, why, when you knew you would die."

"It is because I love you little green leaf, there is no other reason but that." Thranduil slowly reached out and whipped a tear from Legolas eyes, Legolas then leaned down and rested his head on his father chest, as if he was a child in his arms again, there was no need for words, they both felt the love they had as Adar and son.

As the days past Thranduil strength was getting stronger once he felt strong enough he orders a special ceremony to be held. He wanted to welcome back Lavenyia as his queen of Mirkwood, after all he was the party king.

"Why are you telling me all of this?" Ask a stranger to Legolas

"Well as a guest and friend of the king I thought you might like to hear a nice love story"

"Well it is a nice story indeed, how much longer before the celebration?

"Not long as you know the kings party can last all night, now you do remember his command do you not?"

"Yes, after I leave Mirkwood I am to make no mention that the queen of Mirkwood is alive."

"Yes, Adar and I feel it would be best right now, to keep her a secret, for now."

"I understand Legolas you have my word I shall never mention her name."

"You are a good man Aragorn, now before you and my Adar discuss that ghastly creature he has in his dungeon, lets join the celebration, it is good to have happiness come back to the land.

Aragorn watch as Thranduil and his beloved Lavenyia renewed their vows before all of those in Mirkwood under a bright Moonlight sky, Legolas stood next to them as they spoke. No more will she lived in the shadows of the wind and sky. Despite the ending of the curse she still had her powers to control winter, but the elves of Mirkwood had no reason to fear her. In fact, after saying her vows she turned to them and spoke

"Are you ready?" she asks them. They responded with cheers, she then stomped her foot on the ground and a lake of ice formed around them. She left a spot open so she and Thranduil could walk on. Thranduil then waved her hand to cue the music and they began to dance in each other arms under a moonlight sky. As Legolas said the party lasted way into the late evening, Thranduil insist all his guest enjoy themselves with wine and music.

Later in the evening Aragorn ask Legolas where his Adar and mother were, since they had much to discuss. Legolas told Aragorn to follow him. He took him to a spot deep in the heart of Mirkwood, and with a smile he pointed to the top of hill. They both look up and saw Thranduil and his love standing in the moonlight, talking to each other

"Can you understand what they are saying?" ask Aragorn to Legolas

"I don't need to, I can tell they will be together forever." With that Legolas watch as his mother made little snow flaks dance around herself and Thranduil.

Thranduil Lavenyia, Legolas will return.
