Grinning to himself for a stupid reason that brought him self enjoyment, Kaoru hummed as he was almost skipping down the hall.

It always made him wonder why simple things could make him so happy-go-lucky, but if you've ben in his situation, this something that was making him so happy isn't so simple at all, and can't be done just all the time.. And hasn't ben down either.

Hikaru's actually making progress with Haruhi!

It was a small moment, and to everyone else, it was probably nothing, even to Hikaru and Haruhi, but to Kaoru, he saw it all.

They were walking down the hall to the second library where they found their little toy, Haruhi, studying alone.. So obviously they'd take it upon themselves to sit down with her, and bug her to insanity. . Since that's what great friends do an all.

And after ten minutes of watching her do her History paper and work on an English test they were almost positive, didn't exist.

But once they saw her pull out her math paper and work on it, saying she needed to study for a possible math pop quiz that they were sure was never going to happen anytime soon. . She started doing one problem, and apparently Hikaru noticed her having trouble with it, which made sweat practically made sweat scroll down his face, knowing that's the answer she put down was wrong.

And before he could even blink, he saw his brother's face get red from irritation, and grabbed her hand that was holding her pencil, erased it, and helped her write it down right.. With them holding hands and everything! Hikaru wouldn't stop blushing until they got home.

Kaoru was so proud!

Maybe perhaps now, he'll actually admit something and actually get somewhere with her.

That was yesterday though, today was a new day, and maybe with the way things are going now, he wont have to interfere with anything anymore.

It was all going to be fine now; all his hard work had officially paid off and he could finally relax and let nature take its course.. Was it just him were their wedding bells off in the distance once again~?

Skipping merrily down the corridor, that led to the third music-room, not really sure what to so with himself, Kaoru sighed and couldn't rid his face of his happy smile. He just couldn't.

Two months, two whole months he had ben busting his butt off to get those two love birds together, all the schemes and plans he thought of, only to have them brutally ruined and stepped on, which made him look like an idiot, which made him want to cry.

But even so! all that doesn't matter now, it was tough battle and he had actually came out the victor, take that Tono and Bossanova!

Again, was he seriously the only one hearing those damn bells?"

Hidden in his own little non-single brother blissful world, Kaoru Hitachiin staggered up the large main staircase in complete happiness without a care in the world.. Not having to come up with plans, he was quite happy and content.

Kaoru made a slight hum sound as he looked around for his brother so they could get to the club.. He really couldn't understand why he was always off doing something right after class, making him go off to find him.. Even If he had ben going off without him to think of schemes, but that's beside the point.

Thinking he heard something around the corner, Kaoru poked his head around curiously but just saw Tamaki flirting with a handful of wannabe customers. Giving one a rose.

Kaoru rolled his eyes and walked the other way.

Was falling in love such a bad thing? why couldn't Hikaru just accept the fact that he wants it? seriously, is it that hard to just go up to the girl you like, and say 'I love you'?

Then after remembering that his brother was an idiot, Kaoru nodded to himself and stuck his hands deeper into his pockets and blinked a few times as he reached the door of class 1-A.. having his hand up to grab the knob when all of a sudden if opened by itself.

With his hand still raised in mid-knob grabbing. Kaoru blinked in surprised and noticed that the door hadn't opened by itself, but someone on the other side opened it.

Kaoru instantly grew a wide grin as he looked in the doorway, looking at Haruhi who was the unfortunate soul to open the door. "Hey Haruhi~"

Haruhi blinked, confused for a moment, wondering who was talking to her until she looked up from stuffing a rather big book into her bag. "Oh Kaoru... What are you doing?"

"Just Looking for Hikaru," he smiled, flinging an arm over her shoulder as she stepped out and walked into his grabbing reach. "I was thinking he was in there but I guess not~"

"Hikaru left right after class ended, I stayed a little longer to check over my notes," Haruhi muttered, adjusting her bad as he threw it over her shoulder. "He probably went to club already."

"No, no," Kaoru waved his hand up and down weirdly as if that's question was a fly. "Hikaru doesn't go to club room alone, we open the doors together... Just something we do, you're so funny."

"Really?" Haruhi scuffed, feeling her cheek be poked by his finger. "You guys open the doors together? every single day?"

"Yup~" He exclaimed happily, brushing his heels over the floor as he skipped a step. "Why? is that weird~?"

"...I guess not, I just never knew you guys were always together like that... I mean I knew you were close but I didn't know you'd go as far as to opening doors together." She said, as if it was something to think about.

"So you do think is weird?" Kaoru snickered, twirling his finger tips in her hair, thinking if she would hate it if he were to put a bow in it.

"Well not really, I think its kind of cute."

"You think Hikaru's cute?" Kaoru smirked, biting his bottom lip as he looked over at he with a glint in his eye.

"I didn't say that," she argued, scowling down art the floor, her cheeks tinting a slight pink as she thought of something to back her up on her case. "I was just saying that you guy's have a strong bond together, and I think that's cute.'

"So the great Haruhi thinks we're cute? I knew it."

"Oh, never mind." Haruhi sighed, sweat dropping as they turned a corner as he continued to giver her weird looks as if she were a cat and he was a dog. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Like what? I'm just curious about why your walking around with me looking for Hikaru~" he smirked, ruffling up her hair as they walked. "What's this about?"

"I borrowed Hikaru's pencil earlier today, I was going to give it back to him," Haruhi explained simply as if it was nothing and that she borrows people's pencils everyday. "Why do you keep saying 'Hikaru' like that?"

"Nothing," Kaoru assured her innocently, or as innocent as he could make himself out to be. "It's just, I never see you actually look for us willingly, are you sure it's just about a pencil~?"

"I have his pencil, what else would it be about?"

"So if you borrowed the boss's pencil you would be looking for him too?"

"...Yeah, I guess... I've never borrowed his pencil before."

"And what if it were Bossanova's~?"

"Yeah... I haven't used his pencil before either though.'

"Then why did you borrow Hikaru's pencil?"

"...Because?"

"Because why?" He pressured her, laying his head down on hers. Sticking out his free hand and held it out in front of them, showing off their surroundings. "It couldn't be that you've fallen head over hell's for him... Could it~?"

"What are you getting at?"

"Oh nothing, forget it~"

"God, Hikaru was right," Haruhi rolled her eyes, finally getting his arm off her shoulder as they turned another corner. "You have ben acting weird lately."

"Weird?" Kaoru scuffed, looking over at her as she stuck her nose up. "Has little Hikaru ben spreading lies again?"

"I don't know, I don't really take things you guys say into consideration... You guys ben crying wolf for so long I don't care anymore.'

"Awe Haruhi, don't be like that."

"I wonder where Hikaru is anyway," she sighed, changing the subject as if they were done with the past one, and cleared her throat as she fumbled with her bag and pulled out a blue pencil that had a star eraser. "How come you guys have such weird pencils?"

Ne, Haruhi, because," Kaoru grinned pulling out his favorite pumpkin pencil. "Regular ones are boring."

Haruhi just shrugged and continued to walk, hoping they were going to be too late for club, so Kyouya would think about raising her debt any higher.. And was about to turn the next corner to go up another flight of stairs when Kaoru grabbed her hand and pulled her back.. Hiding her against the wall.

"Kaoru what are-" Haruhi tried to say when Kaoru put a hand to her mouth. "Shhh, just a second," Kaoru muttered, narrowing his eyes s he heard Hikaru's voice come from around the corner.

He glared suspiciously as he poked his head around curiously.. His eyes widening as he noticed a girl standing next to his brother.

"But what about your brother?" the girl blinked, looking unsure as she looked at the floor blushing, standing a few steps away from the elder Hitachiin twin. "You sure he wouldn't mind?"

Hikaru gave a fake smile as he leaned up against a locker that belonged to a nameless student. "Naw, he won't mind, he's the one who suggested it in the first place."

Kaoru blinked as he subconsciously let his hand fall from Haruhi's mouth, though still gripped her wrist, taking a glance over his shoulder, wondering if she was hearing all that was being said.

"Well I guess If your willing to, then maybe," the girl blushed darker, playing with the sleeve of her yellow dress. "I just didn't think you felt the same way about me."

"Well," Hikaru said softly, leaning in a little closer to her face hesitantly. "...I guess I do."

Kaoru's mouth dropped.

"Your not trying to pull something on me," the girl asked cautiously, "Are you? I've heard stories of you and your brother back in middle school... Your Hikaru aren't you?"

"Of course I am," Hikaru laughed almost sheepishly. "I'm not the same as I was back then anyway... I-... I really like you is all."

A few seconds of just staring at one another, Kaoru narrowed his eyes a little more as he noticed his brother and the girl draw closer to each other. . He was about to open his mouth and say something, but just as he was about to.

Hikaru leaned in just close enough to the girl and kissed her.

Right on the lips.

Kaoru had to cover his mouth to keep himself from gasping out loud.

He was only able to watch him brother and the girl interact for a moment before it made him sick. . Kaoru hurriedly turned around to see Haruhi's eyes wide, and confused. His mouth started moving but he couldn't get any words out.

"Haruhi...?" he managed after a few moments, looking at her shocked and slightly hurt face.. Even if she tried to hide it. "I-...I don't-"

Haruhi blinked her large brown eyes and wiggled her hand out of Kaoru's light grasp around her wrist.. Then turned on her heel and walked away.

Kaoru shook his head, looking at his brother slowly pull away from the girl, no blush on his face what so ever.. He breathed through his teeth as he watched Haruhi walk away.

He thought everything was fine.

Kaoru leaned up against the wall confused.

Guess he spoke too soon.
