"What's going on?" Kagome asked when she walked into her brother's study and saw the assortment of people gathered there. Her eyes landed on Koenma as she studied his new form and those with him.

"Maybe he's made his choice," Souta spoke up gathering the attention of everyone in the room. This put him under the scrutiny of everyone in the room but it was Kagome's gaze that made him the most nervous though that nervousness soon dissipated with her smile at him.

"I think you are right, Souta. Perhaps he has," Kagome said as she had turned and was now looking into the serious eyes of Lord Koenma and he certainly was a Lord now. No longer did he stay in that childish form of his but he was now much older and using the power she felt he had been hiding last time.

She stepped forward to meet Koenma before anyone could say anything or even introduce the two. After all, they had already met once. Whatever was happening here should be happening. She could feel it in her soul. Something big was coming and she just knew it involved the one in front of her.

"Lord Koenma," she greeted, this time much more politely.

"Lady Kagome," he greeted back just as politely.

"Is it true? Have you come to announce a choice?" she asked.

Koenma was surprised but in hindsight he realized he shouldn't have been. The stories all spoke of how perceptive she was and the last time he had seen her, Hakudoshi had let it slip that he had a choice to make, the same one he had had to make. That part had left him curious because he could not find out what choice Hakudoshi made.

"I only have one question, milady," Koenma stated while keeping his gaze on hers.

Kagome nodded her head, indicating he could ask his question.

"What decision did Hakudoshi have to make? After that comment the other day in my office, I couldn't find any information," Koenma hated admitting he lacked information but she seemed strangely aware of what was going on even though he knew no one had told her what was in the files exactly. That made him even more nervous. After all, if she wanted to help him now, would that change if she discovered he had done nothing about the file in the past, except attempt to cover it up?

"His father," Kagome said, confusing many in the room.

"I am afraid I do not understand, milady," Koenma said.

"It's simple. His decision was to face his father to protect those he had come to love and care for or to follow the whims of his father and to lose everything he had come to care for," she said while keeping eye contact. This was how she caught the surprise in Koenma's face as well as the understanding.

"Then yes, my decision is very similar to Hakudoshi's. I have made my choice to stand against him," Koenma said with determination. He met Kagome's gaze head on so she could see his resolve.

Kagome could see his determination and decided very quickly that she would help. "Well then, I guess you have my support," she said to them.

"Are you sure, milady?" Koenma asked.

"Of course, Lord Koenma, you can fill me in later on the exact details. But I do know that your father is not a good person and is in fact evil so if you are willing to go up against him, then I will join you," Kagome said.

As if just remembering her brother in the room, she turned sheepishly to her mother and brother and gave them a begging face but found both were already smiling at her. "What?" she asked upon seeing their expressions.

"We knew this would be your decision. You already have our support. We have also seen the evidence against Koenma's father and would have chosen war even if Koenma had not," Sesshoumaru stated. It was true. His crimes could not be ignored or overlooked anymore.

Kagome got a thoughtful look on her face at hearing that. If the evidence was that bad then she wondered if she should even look at it at all but something inside of her was telling her that she needed to see that evidence and to see it soon. After all, knowing what he did in the past would help them figure out what he might do or is capable of doing in the present and future. Deciding to think on that after dinner she lightly shook her head then put on a smile.

"Thank you, Sesshoumaru and Mother. Why don't we all get something to eat and then afterwards we can talk about this alliance and what each side will need from the other to succeed. I will also see this evidence after I eat. Something tells me I may not be hungry after seeing it," she stated before looking to her older brother to confirm her plan.

Before Sesshoumaru could add anything, a snort caught their attention. He turned to the disruption and held up one eyebrow and though the boy had never been around him the boy seemed to understand what he wanted.

"Kagome is always right. See, Kagome, having faith always does pay off," Souta said before heading back to his room, leaving behind many confused people but one happy sister who just smiled.

"What was that?" Koenma questioned.

Kagome's only response to that was, "He's smarter than anyone gives him credit for." She then left the room and followed after her brother to help him pick out new clothes for what would be dinner with their guests. She would need to give him a few tips on dressing in the castle and how many here didn't wear clothes like back home though some still did. It would be up to him to pick a style but she could offer some choices until he found what he liked best.

Sesshoumaru and his mother shared a glance and seemed to be in agreement. Having Souta brought over to the Demon Realm had already done some good for Kagome and it seems Kagome had already told him somewhat of what was going on or he was smart enough to catch on and analyze the situation. Or perhaps it had been a bit of both. Kagome may have told him some and he pieced the rest together. It meant they had made a wise choice. He would be a valuable member to add to their pack but not until things settled down at least. The boy needed to experience the world of demons fully before given the choice because there would be no going back.

Lady Kimiko was the first to turn away and to face their guests. She clapped her hands together to get all of their attention since many were still staring after the siblings. "I do believe that Kagome had a wonderful idea. It has been a long day for all of us so why don't I show you to some rooms where you can rest until dinner time," she said while going to stand at the doorway.

Koenma looked at those behind him and once they all nodded then he turned back to the Lady and nodded his head. "That would be wonderful, Lady Kimiko. You have my heartfelt gratitude that you have agreed to help me and to stop anymore travesties from occurring from that man," Koenma said as he came to stand at the doorway, ready to follow to his rooms. He also wanted a chance to talk to his men and to see what they thought the meeting so far.

Lady Kimiko nodded and then went to show them to their rooms. Afterwards, she would go and prepare the dojo. Her new daughter would need to release some rage once she read those files so she would need to add many more charms and spells to the area to contain the power. She showed them to an entire hallway for their use. She told them they could divide the rooms to whomever and that at the end of the hallway was a small living type room that they could use as a meeting room if they chose to. And then she left to do her job of preparing the dojo. She also wanted to test the allies and see what they are capable of.
