Ch. 20 The End?
After a few moons, I finally started to relax. I'd been so jumpy that I freaked everyone else out, (which I felt bad about) so I just started going on patrol by myself. When I finally stopped jumping at everything, I got nervous that I would miss something important. I started hanging out with my friends again, and usually Lunasong came too. Most of the newer warriors were only hanging around because she was 'special', but she was a really nice girl.
After a while, it seemed like things were going to be peaceful for awhile, everyone relaxed. Everyone that is, except for Silverfire and me. She kept muttering something about 'something far worse to come.' I knew that something else would happen, not only because I didn't doubt my friend, but also because part of the prophecy hadn't come true. Nothing had glowed at all; it was just a miscalculation on Songstar's part. It didn't take a genius to figure out that something wasn't right, but my mini group of close friends and I kept watching and waiting, knowing that if we let our guard down, we might not live to regret it.
To be continued…
