Chapter 21

Katara sat around the large table, a large scale map of Yu Dao in front of them, listening as every pitched ideas as to who should rule over Yu Dao.

At the current point, Zuko was trying to persuade King Kuei to agree to joint leadership, whilst Kuei was insisting that he alone should govern them as it is Earth Nation land.

Everyone was becoming nervous, watching the two leaders fight. Beneath the table, Katara's hands roughly tossed and turned, rubbing her fingers as she watched.

Aang reached over and smoothed her right hand encasing it with his own. She smiled softly up at him, earning a soft smile in return, his eyes clearly telling her to relax.

Ever since their engagement announcement Katara had been asked to join Aang on the air nomad side. She agreed without hesitation, but made it clear that she was still water tribe.

"I think Yu Dao should govern themselves." Sokka said, interrupting the squabble.

Everyone looked at him, some on horror, others in question.

"Yu Dao is becoming a city for all nations, it can have it's own council, made up of representatives of all four nations, it can be…the first republic."

Some nodded their heads while others facial expressions clearly detested the idea of giving up land.

Aang spoke from beside Katara.

"I think this is a great idea."

"I'm with Sokka." Toph said from beside the Earth King.

More agreements followed and in a matter of seconds the notion was passed.

"If only the first plan had been so easily accepted." Aang muttered to Katara, making her smile.

Talk continued for another hour on details for this new plan. When the meeting adjourned Aang assisted Katara in standing and they walked hand in hand out.

"I suppose we won't be leaving Yu Dao for a while now, perhaps we should move here." Katara said.

Aang nodded, his face breaking into a smile. "I agree, but you know I'll be travelling a lot."

"We."

She looked up at him, "We'll be travelling a lot."

Aang smiled down at her, his arm wrapping around her middle.

"Hey guys." Sokka and Toph caught up with them.

Sokka still looked down, Suki had returned to Kyoshi Island shortly after the battle of Yu Dao and from what Katara and Aang could tell, had no intention of returning back to Sokka's side.

It had pained Katara to see her brother so upset but she knew he'd eventually recover and move on, she hoped so anyway.

"So I was thinking, we should move here!" He said excitedly.

"We were just thinking the same." Aang replied.

He grinned, "Perfect! I have grand ideas for our place."

Katara coughed, "Our place?"

"Of course, team avatar fighting crime, team headquarters."

Katara and Aang shared a look as Sokka continued to prattle on about islands, temples, councils and republics.

Katara subtly guided them away, leaving Toph to suffer more of Sokka's ideas.

Aangs hand came to rest on her slightly protruding stomach as they disappeared into the halls of the Mayors house.

Mayor Morishita was happy in the beginning to provide his home to so many, but they knew their welcome was running out and they'd have to move out soon.

"I like the idea of the island temple." Aang said, his fingers tracing circles on her tummy.

She smiled, "So do I, we'd be in the Republic, but not entirely, we'd have our privacy."

They reached Katara's room, their room. Aang had practically moved in, but they still remained secretive, not wanting people to start gossip.

Aang locked the door behind them. Katara removed the golden sash she'd been wearing over her blue dress during the meetings and placed it over the desk chair.

Aang's arms wrapped around her waist, settling on her hips as his chin came to rest on her shoulder. "I think…we should train for a little bit, out of town." He whispered.

Katara smiled and placed her hands over his. "Lead the way." She breathed.

Aang flew Appa over the trees until Yu Dao disappeared behind them.

Katara sat in the saddle, gazing around for a pond of river.

"There!" Katara said pointing to a placid river flowing down from the mountains.

Aang flew Appa down and landed them on the soft green grass beside the pool. Appa flopping on his belly and groaning.

Leaping into the saddle Aang snuck up behind Katara and lifted her into his arms before launching high into the air and falling back to earth.

Katara squealed in surprise and gripped his robes as the falling sensation flowed through her stomach. Aang grinned the entire way down, slowing their decent, landing them softly on the ground.

Aang laughed loudly as he set Katara down on shaky legs, earning a descent punch in the arm. He cowered to the side, rubbing his bicep. 'Hard as a rock, it'll probably bruise me more than him.' She thought icily subtly kneading her knuckles.

Aang's laughed turned to chuckles as she continued to glare up at him, finally he sighed, "Oh come on it was just a little bit of fun."

Katara tried to detangle herself from his arms, but every time she moved his arms away, he'd quickly trap her again, holding her tightly to his chest."Aang!" She finally laughed trying to push her way out through force.

He chuckled, holding her fast and moving easily with her movements. He dipped his head into the side of her neck and licked all the bear skin right up to her ear. She squealed at the sensation whilst shivering. "Aang!"

Laughing he dragged her towards the pool, knowing full well what he was about to do, she dug in her heels. "Aang no!"

"I thought you liked the water." He teased easily lifting her off the ground and inching closer to the water.

She laughed as she cried out, trying struggle from his grasp, but he had her easily bound and after counting to three loudly he chucked her in.

Katara cried out as she flew into the water, unable to right herself in time to bend. The cool water enveloped her, soaking her. Coming to the surface she gasped for air and glared at the laughing airbender sitting a few feet from the edge. He wiped fake tears from his eyes, "Woo, not many opportunities you get to do that."

Katara fumed and ducked back down under the water, disappearing into the darkness. Aang's laughter faltered when she didn't rise straight away.

"Katara?" He called, crawling closer to the pool searching for any sign of her in the depths.

A woosh sound met his ears, and as he looked up the wall of water collided with him, sending he sprawling across the ground, the water carrying him a short distance. Aang lay stunned and slightly wounded as Katara laughed from her seated position at the other end of the pool.

Katara was still soaking wet, but she hadn't had this much fun since…they were kids.

"You might want to start running little water bender." Aang said darkly.

Katara's laughter faltered and she eyed Aang lying on the ground just breathing, 'He's waiting.' She thought.

She climbed to her feet and treading as softly as possible backed towards the forest before turning and dashing into the trees.

Aang grinned and air bent himself up and onto an Air scooter before taking off after her.

Katara bent water beneath her and froze it it, forming ice which she swept up into an icy ramp which her feet skated along easily.

Glancing back her heart jumped, he was close behind her on his air scooter and a devilish grin on his face. She pushed herself faster, but knew she could never truly out run him, he was too fast either that or she'd run out of water first. ]

He sped up beside her, as they ascended above the tree tops. He looked over at her and smirked, "You can't out run me."

She smiled sweetly, "I don't intend too." She called, before stopping suddenly.

She watched happily as Aang, at his speed continued speeding along. "Airbenders." She muttered with a smile before

starting back along the icy ramp, collecting the water as she went.

she made it back to the pool and sat at the far end and waited, her legs crossed and an innocent smile on her face.

It only took him seconds to burst through the trees landing softly at the opposite end. He crossed his arms as he gave her a pointed look.

"Don't tell me you're disappointed about loosing." She said sweetly.

His eyes darkened and he grinned, "I haven't lost."

Using a great gust he sent himself flying across the pool landing on his knees in front of, wrapping his arms around her as he pushed her down, but protecting her from hitting it. He took her hands and held them flat above her head, with a shift his feet stone shackles formed over her wrists. She looked up towards them as she made to jiggle her hands and groaned.

She looked up at him hovering over her a satisfied smirk on his face. "Satisfied?" She asked.

He grinned, "Not completely, but it will do for now."

She didn't catch on to the end of his sentence and instead asked him to release her. He lowered his head and hovered his lips over hers, his hands ran up her sides and he began placing kiss along her jaw line "No I don't think I will, I like you this way, no unexpected tidal waves." He said in between kisses.

Katara's eyebrows furrowed and she was about to rebut when he sucked hard on the side of her neck, causing a gasp to escape her. "Aang." Her voice shook breathily.

His bright eyes had a lustful glint as one of his hands trailed down the front of her top. From where he straddled her, she could feel him becoming excited, which made her excitement build down below.

Reaching behind her, he untied the sash of her robe and opened it revealing her bound chest and bare stomach. His fingers trailed lightly up her slightly swollen stomach and came to rest upon it and that look of absolute love and endearment crossed his features. A look she'd begun to see plenty off when he touched her stomach.

"She we, you know, with the baby and everything?" He asked.

Katara smiled softly, touched by his caring, "It'll be fine but tell me, how long has it been?" She asked.

His eyebrows furrowed and he leant forward on his hands, his face hovering over hers, "What do you mean?"

The absence of him straddling her made her want to twist with frustration but instead she smiled seductively up at him. "How long has it been since we…" She left the sentence hang, her facial expression suggestive.

His eyes widened for a moment before falling back to that lustful gaze, "Too long." He said, his voice low and rough.

Katara shivered at the effect the sound had on her, "I do believe we haven't done it since we found out that we were pregnant." She said.

An animalistic growl erupted from Aang's throat before he plunged his lips to hers in a rough kiss, his tongue diving in and dominating hers within seconds. Katara moaned as his teeth grazed her lower lip and as his left hand ran over her bound breast.

As their lips parted briefly, his going to her neck she whispered, "Aang."

Without anymore prompting he sat up, his lower region sitting directly in line with hers causing them both to moan at the contact. He made quick work of her upper bindings releasing her breasts to the night air, taking one of them in his mouth and lightly gnawing the erect peak.

Katara whimpered loudly her head rearing back as his hands dragged up her waist and his tongue joined his teeth.

Fire had long been growing between her legs and Aang's stiffness was only fanning it but not completely satisfying her needs.

His mouth moved to her other breast and he began the ministrations again, but this time, his left hand travelled further down, under the waist band of her skirt and over her lower bindings. She cried out at the contact and every muscle in her body tensed.

He grinned around her breast and released it gazing happily at his wife's flustered state. It didn't take him long to remove her skirt and lower bindings, leaving her body exposed and vulnerable to him.

Aang simple smiled at her as he trailed his finger through her wet lips watching as she moaned heavily her eyes rolling. "Do you recall that night up at the south pole?" He asked, as he absently trailed his fingers through her, one pressing into her.

She whimpered, her teeth clenching together as she replied, "Yes."

She watched as he un-straddled her and placed his hands on her calves. "What are you doing?" She asked, suspiciously.

"I've tasted every inch of you, except…"

As he lifted her legs over his shoulders she registered quickly what he was about to do, her eyes widening, only managing a mere gasp of his name before his tongue touched her in her most sensitive area.

Her head lolled back and her mouth fell open as his tongue pleasured her, making quick spasms go through her body as his tongue explored.

Uh's escaped her throat, not even bothering to try and holding them back as her she let go of control of her body.

Every muscle felt tight as all her focus centred on Aang's tongue. He sucked and she cried out in pleasure, his eyes watched her reactions, enjoying every moment of her whimpering, clenching teeth, groaning and grunting.

Her chest rose and fell in a fast rhythm in time with her breath.

As he drew her nearer her end he stopped, earning an unsatisfied groan from his wife. He chuckled as he set her lower end down. "Patience my love, those who are patient receive good things."

Untying his robes he released himself sighing was the pressure was released.

Hovering over her, he thumped the ground with his fist, releasing her hands. She drew them up around his shoulders her eyes hooded with lust. Aang positioned himself and pushed in, earning a climatic cry from Katara. He relished in the feel of her release flowing around him and as she came down he began moving, swiftly rebuilding that pressure.

He started off slow, trailing open mouth kisses along her collar bone, grazing his teeth across the soft spot in the dip of her neck all the while becoming more turned on at the groans and vocal exhales from the woman beneath him.

Steadily her increased his pace followed by his force, thrusting harder until she began making the frenzied cries and grunts that indicated that he was pushing her in the right ways.

Their groans and vocal pleasure filled the space around them as their pace continued to increase quickening, the heated friction between growing and drawing them both closer to their ends.

Katara's eyes rolled into the back of her head as her nails bit into his shoulders, the pain causing Aang pleasurably shivers down his spine.

Their eyes met as Katara cried out in climatic pleasure, the sensual look on her face sending him the edge. He rested his forehead on her chest as he came before slowly lying on her. Katara's fingers absently stroked his head and back as their breath settled in a steady rhythm again.

Aang sighed happily and rolled off her, bringing her to lay on top of him. Katara laid her head on his chest and looked up at him. He smiled down at her as his fingers trailed through her damp hair. "I'm sorry if I startled you." He said softly.

She smiled as her eyes shut, "As surprising as it was…you know as well as I that it was nothing short of pleasing."

He chuckled, the vibrations running through his chest into Katara.

Appa appeared stepped through the trees and groaned flopping on the ground.

Aang and Katara sighed but smiled at the fury beast who had decided that it was time to leave. Katara stood, bring Aang with her and they dressed, water bending the water out of their wet clothes.

Aang came behind Katara and finished tying her shirt. He kissed the side of her neck, purple patches forming on her dark skin from where Aang had sucked and gnawed.

"Sokka's gonna see those." He said, his fingers trailing her neck.

Katara's fingers met his and she chuckled, "Let him." She said turning.

Aang's dropped, "Are you serious?" He asked.

"Serious."

Aang spluttered before forming a sentence, "You may not be afraid of him but if he sees those he'll ring my neck in my sleep!" He was shouting by the end.

Katara burst into a fit of giggles, "Relax Aang, I'll wear my hair down."

Aang sighed and visibly sagged with relief. "Thank heavens."

Appa roared and Katara laughed taking his arrowed hand and leading him towards the bison. "I wonder if the city's still in one piece."

"After everything we went through to get it to this point? It had better be."

Aang and Katara snuck around the building till they were below her two storey window. Lifting her into his arms, he bent them up, landing softly on her window sill.

Aang released Katara to the floor and dropped in beside her she blushed as she looked up at him, "That was fun."

He blushed but grinned, "We should do it more often, I think it's good for your health, you know?"

She laughed, "Really?" She asked.

He nodded whilst stroking his chin, "I do believe it is, I always feel much better after participating in some physical action."

Katara giggled behind her hand.
