A/N: Hey guys! (Well, probably girls XD) First of all, sorry fro not updating sooner! I know how waiting time sucks :( But with an exam (in which I got 12!), moving away and school and the rest, 'real' life just got to me. Also, in a week Im going to Norway with my school, skiing, and under 24hr after I get home, I'll be on a plane, heading to London, for Taylor Swift's RED tour (Which I am SO SO SO excited about!) XD
Secondly, thank you. thank you for reading this piece of work I've done, and a HUGE thanks to those who's been sticking up with it, even though updates haven't been that frequently. Thank you for every word read, every favorite and follow and every review. I love you guys!
And the worlds biggest thanks to stelesandwands, for keeping up with me, and actually helping me improve my english, when my teacher failed that task XD I love every little comment, weather it's about our lives or about grammar (:
As many have asked, I WILL be doing an epilogue for this fic. In week 7, i'll have winter break, so there I'll have lots of time to write, and i expect it to be up then, but you know how my predictions usually goes, but ill try my very best! ;)
As usual the characters (except Anna) all belong to the lovely Cassandra Clare. The lyrics is from Waiting For You by Beecake (which is an amazing band, you should check them out!)
You Said That Nothing Lasts Forever,
The Only Thing That's Sure In Life Is Change
But I'm Sure That We Will Stay Together
Gideon stood frozen for a moment. Here he had come and declared his love to her - or wait, had he? No. He hadn't said that he loved her. With that in mind, he tried to push his way through the crowd on the dance floor. But it was hard, and he only got glimpse of brown hair and swaying purple cloth in between the moving bodies.
Why? Why did I say that, why did I turn around? I love him, she thought. Right? So why did I run away? Sophie tried to elbow her way through the packed dance floor but realized it was impossible. She had to turn around and face what she'd just done.
"Hey, watch out!" a girl in a way too short dress screamed. He ignored her. Small annoying things couldn't distract him now, where he only had one thing in his head. One thing his mind was circling about, one thing that had entered his heart and never left. Then suddenly someone stepped away, and he got a clear view of his destination, only five feet away. But he was in such a rush that he couldn't make his feet stop. So he crashed into her, just as she was turning around to face him. With a shriek she slipped. But quickly he grabbed her by the arms and before he could have a chance to think about it, he kissed her.
His lips were sweet and more wonderful than she remembered.
"I was wrong before. You don't look nice. The word doesn't do you justice. You're beautiful," Gideon whispered.
His thumb traced her scar, making her shiver. If anybody else had done that, she would've pushed them away.
"What is the name of this game, Gideon?" Sophie asked. "Tell me, so I can look up the rules and find out how to stop. I don't want to play anymore." His grip on her elbows tightened. But not enough to make her uncomfortable.
"I don't want to play either!" he answered.
"You don't?" she said in a small voice.
"No, I don't know the name or the rules of this game. Sophie, that's what I've been trying to tell you the whole time. I miss you. I hate this stupid game! None of us likes it and I don't know why we even begun, but… I love you Sophie. Don't ever let anyone tell you othe-" He didn't get to say more before Sophie reached up and pulled him down for a kiss. It wasn't as passionate as before, but it was like she could feel the love from him. Gently he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer, as if that was possible. His lips swept gently over hers before capturing her mouth again. She forgot everything but Gideon. Everything was Gideon.
Finally parting, his lips were full of red lipstick. She made a little laugh and swiped it away with her thumb. He looked confused, so she showed him her finger. Then he smiled. She was amazed by how much his green eyes lit up when he smiled, when he whispered, as if it was a secret:
"I mean it, no matter what others might say, I love you."
"I love you, too," she whispered back as his mouth captured hers again. And in that moment Sophie realized, that you can't have any ups in life if you haven't been down.
A/N: Well… that was it guys, this fic is technical finished now. I know it was very short, so ill try to make the epilogue longer! PLEASE leave a review, I read every single one and try to reply! I always like hearing your opinions!
BTW, a guest asked me a question in a review: Og ja, jeg er dansker :)
