The days continued to go by and she had yet to see Derek or anyone else for that matter, there was far too much going on. Erinn's abilities continued to change, but it wasn't just her hearing and sight it was the emotional side to becoming something of the supernatural world. It was like the intensity of everything was making her more sensitive and even certain things that would never have upset her before where irritating her. Derek hadn't called, he had left her to wonder what she had done wrong, but then again why should she had felt that way, it was him.
One thing she knew she wasn't being some whining girl fawning over someone. Well, not exactly, Scott soon after the awkward incident which nothing had happened was still gentle round her making sure she didn't feel uncomfortable no matter what. Melissa was still working and then there was the fact she was staring out the window again. Kira hadn't called no one had, they were all on lock down because of the crazy notions and things had gotten worse. Not being nosy, but she had heard Scott talk to Kira last night on the phone, things were happening and they didn't want her to be at risk in their plans to save Beacon hills.
School wasn't much fun either, she felt alone and that wasn't a great feeling. Outcast, she always had friends Erinn missed Ireland. She missed her best friends she missed being able to see them when she wanted, America was different sooo very different.
The best way to deal with being down was a walk and she enjoyed that, moving ad not thinking about the negative. After school, she did just that she ran out before anyone could spot her and she walked deeper and deeper into the forest.
"You shouldn't be out here". A voice said behind her, she quickly turned to see him standing that same leather jacket he loved and a dark green tshirt underneath. Masculine and menacing if you had known him just by his look.
"Well, I'm walking here, you don't own me". Erinn then turned to continue walking.
"No, but I do own the land". Derek's footsteps followed her.
"You're lying". Erinn bit her lip, she was getting that same intense anger she didn't want to feel.
"Unfortunately not, home Erinn". Erinn hated being told what to do, especially by knew he was being protective but why.
"Nope, I'm walking back now". Erin still walked ahead, he wasn't too far behind.
"Your house is the other direction". Derek's voice was hinted with humor, but he remained serious as always.
"I knew that". Erinn then went to go the other direction.
"No, you didn't". Derek was so close to her as she turned to walk back.
"I'm soo sorry if my lack of direction is not up to standards".
He enjoyed her biting back at him, she was the only person stupid enough to do so and that made her attractive more so to him. Small curvy and strong, that's why he felt an intense draw to her also.
"Just go home". Derek commanded.
" I am so shutup". Erinn kept her head down refusing not to look at him.
"I don't know why I bother, you never listen". Derek was standing side to side to her.
"But I am, I'm walking home now".
"Good, I'll walk with you".
She could smell his colone, hell she hated how attractive he was.
"You don't need to, I am going home like you commanded".
"You don't have to be like that".
"Like what?". Erinn stopped and looked to him.
"Rude".
"Rude, you're not serious". She shook her head, he said she was rude Mr sour bake you just happened to be all so handsome.
"I am".
"Well, you know what screw you. I wanted a nice walk to get away from it all and you had to be here as always".
Derek remained silent he had a afeeling he was going to say much more.
"You know I haven't seen anyone but Scott since the other day everyone hiding from me. And you, I thought I'd even see you before then".
"They aren't hiding exactly".
"Then what are they doing because it's not nice". Erinn sounded childlike.
Derek on the other hand felt sorry for her, but her face was soo naive he wanted to grab her and tell her they were trying to keep her safe.
"I told you when I last saw you that it is more dangerous now".
"An what I be treated like some plague that everyone stays away from". Erinn was looking directly at him, her face showed all her emotions. She was sad, angry and confused. " I, don't like knowing that my friends are all in danger and I'm here not doing anything to help". Erinn no longer moved she was standing close to him her bag still round her shoulders, the wind was blowing her hair everywhere. She looked lost and as always innocent with her pale complexion and young face.
" Is that how you feel?". Derek replied.
He hated her being sad, but it was best to keep distance. She would be safer that way, well, that's what he told himself, but here he was next to her.
"Yes". It was an almost whisper.
"I'm sorry, I really am".
"Really?". Erinn stares up at him looking curiously into his expressive eyes. Derek then nods gently.
"I am". Derek then walks closer and pulls her into hug. Shocking her and himself, here he was hugging someone. He hadn't felt a close connection to anyone in a long time but he had felt this would help just a little.
Erinn hated the loneliness, she had been alone now for a while and finding friends that cared was almost impossible considering she was now ina different country. Here she was standing in the middle of a woodland like something out of Twilight being hugged by himself. But this wasn't a movie this was life and it was oh so complicated.
They stood their silent for what felt like a long time,Derek's face was buried in her hair. His breathing was heavy as was hers, and his heart she could here it like drums against her. She had heard the familiar beating, when the bomb went off her mind had searched for him and that what sound had calmed her. Derek Hale was her friend and she was happy even to have that even if it was just a tiny part of his life.
"We need to leave, come". Erinn didn't argue has he let her go, the connection was gone and he was his cold self again.
They walked for a good 15 minutes before they heard running and then shooting of something dangerous. The two figure ran towards them, Derek pushed her behind him in a fighting stance before he noticed there was something behinf the she knew it Erinn now running with Derek grabbing her arm to make her just as fast as them but surprisingly she kept up. In the end they where settled in a small cave everyone shaken up and staring at eachother.
"Who else did the two of you piss off?". Derek growled at the Aiden and Ethan.
"Everyone, we've pissed off everyone it was only a matter a time before someone caught up to us". Both where in a bad condition she wasn't sure how to help. Derek would know what to do he always did.
