Last time…

A romantic time was spent by the exorcists and the one they chose to love. Though some confess and others did not. One thing is for certain their bond has never been stronger.

Guardian angles part 1

In the darkness regions of one's mind set the forgotten memories of the past. However, there are times when they resurface to tell you 'we're still here'. Deep within is subconscious mind, young Allen found himself drifting away into the river of tears he had cried over the years. He could feel the coldness of sorrow and the bittiness of pain as he fell deeper and deeper. A single tear escaped his eye as he repeated the words spoken by his inner voice. "I'm sorry Mana"

A single radiant light glowed in the darkness. A vison of a pure white flower appeared. "Don't cry Allen" whispered a soothing voice. "Please don't cry"

The voice rang all around him "who are you?"

"Allen, don't cry" it repeated. "Allen, Allen, Allen" the voice sang his name over and over like a peaceful broken record.

The voice changed to a deeper and harsh tone "Allen, Allen, Allen" it groan with hits of impatience. "Wake up bean sprout!"

This sudden shout shot his eyes open and he found himself face to face was a ticked off swordsman "oh hey Yu"

"Don't you 'hey Yu' me I was calling you for hours!" Kanda screamed with frustration.

With a small laugh the boy raised himself off the bed and apologized "I'm sorry are we there now?" With crossed arms, Kanda nodded with his usual serious face. "Ok" he hopped off the side and swiftly slid his uniform coat. "Then let's go"

In the little town of Kirchlengern there is a small forest area were locals refused to trend. For if you get too deep inside you'll disappear. The exorcists stared into the dark woods- light barely shone through the gaps of the leaves. Kanda kept a strong front but in side he shook with nervousness. Something about this place just doesn't sit well with him. Allen on the other hand just walked in causally. "How are you so calm?"

"After what I saw in the Aokigahara forest nothing fazes me anymore". Not wanting to be shown up, Kanda chocked on his fears and ran after him. A few miles deep into the forest and there was nothing abnormal to see. It wasn't as quiet as the Aokigahara forest where the sounds were completely drowned in silence. Animals roam around to see the strangers. Some even greeted them with a roar or a tweet. "Ok this forest seems too normal to be harbouring an innocence. Maybe it's a false alarm"

"Maybe" Kanda whispered "but we should still look around." And so the exorcists continued to further "so Allen is there anything wrong?"

The boy looked at him confused "why do you ask?"

Kanda became flustered "well it's just that you were crying in your sleep….so I though…um…you know"

He laughed "you were worried about me?"

"Your words not mine"

"Ha ha ha well I'm fine it's just that I had a strange dream" he explained "it was about my father and some sort of flower but I can't remember it well"

"I see" Kanda stayed silent until he said "I had a dream too. It was about a dog, I once had"

"You had a dog?"

"Yes but it ran away"

"Oh" silence can over them once more as the travelled deeper into the woods yet they found nothing. They sighed "let's just go back." As they turned back drowsiness came over them. What's happening? Their vison hazed as the lasting they saw was each other falling and the fallen, dry leaves as they hit the ground.

With heavy eyes a pair of silver grey eyes fluttered opened "where am I?" the white haired exorcist looked around but there was only avoid of darkness. "What is this place?" suddenly a door appeared. There hanged was a crooked sigh that said 'Allen's dreams and wishes'. Curiosity ran over him as he opened the door. Bright lights clouded his vison as loud cheers rang in his ear.

"The Noah are gone" the cheers called.

"What?" he watched in confusion as he saw all his friends dancing around merrily having a party "what's going on here?"

"Didn't you hear the Noah are gone" said a finder.

They are? He wondered questionably.

"Allen" called out his sweet Lenalee "come on Allen let's go celebrate" the girl dragged him to a massive banquet table with an array of delectable food of all colours and shapes. Their alluring sent ticked his nose as his mouth began to drool. Lenalee laughed and she grabbed a spoon. She dipped into the nearest dish and held it up to him with a smile "open wide"

He did as he was instructed and champed on to the spoon. The flavours danced in his mouth as delight washed over him "this is great!"

Lenalee smiled and snuggled on his shoulder "let's stay like this together"

He was about to agree until a voice called out to him "no you can't" a pure shining light appeared before him. Form the light came forth a woman in white with white feathered wings. Her skin was spotless as it seemed to shine. Her face was concealed by a pale, feminine mask with red outlines and a five star pentagram on her forehead. "If you stay here you'll die." He looked at her confused as ever "you're in a dream Allen Walker and if you stay here you'll never wake up" she explained.

"How do I know you're not lying?" he questioned.

"Will that ever happen in real life?" she pointed to Kanda, Lavi and some finders dancing about with wide smiles on their care-free faces. Flower petals seem to rain from above as a sweet smell surrounded them.

"I see your point" he said with a sweat drop "but how can I trust you?"

"You just have to" she held out her hand.

Hesitantly, he was about to reach it until Lenalee grabbed him "please don't leave me" she pleaded as tears started to from.

He grew more uncertain. "She is not the really Lenalee." The woman told him "the real one is waiting for you back in the order. You don't want to keep her waiting do you?" with uncertainty he grabbed the hand. However somewhere in his heart told him to trust this winged woman. With a powerful grip the woman carried him off into the dark abyss.

Meanwhile, Kanda waken in his mind set. Slowly, he got up and saw nothing but darkness as well as a miss placed door. Similarly to Allen's door, there was a sign that read 'Kanda's dreams and wishes'. "My dreams huh?" he reached out to the door knob and opened it. There he saw a simple forest. "How is this my dreams?" that was when he heard a familiar scream. "Mikoyasha!" he raced to the source. He found her face to face with a horrify beast. Its pig like body was cover with spiked mattered fur as devil horns sprouted from its flat head. It stomped its massive hoof on the ground getting ready to charge. But Kanda made the first attack at the beast and sliced it in two. The beastly boar squealed in agony and fell to dust. Ok that was easy. Suddenly, he felt a warm body cover his front. As he looked down his eyes met large, moist golden eyes. He blushed at the sight.

"You saved me" she said sweetly. He leaned on his chest "thank you"

He stared at her in blank shock this is wired.

As she let go her eyes widen "hey look Yu" she hopped over to a moulded table stump in the centre of the clearing. On top was hour glass with a louts placed inside.

His eyes cracked as he recognised the object that's.

The girl picked up the delicate piece. She held it out to him with a smile "isn't it pretty?" as she said this the flower rapidly wilted. Each petal fell as the seconds rolled by. Kanda's heart raced as his mouth gaped opened. Mikoyasha tiled her head "what's wrong Yu isn't this want you wanted?"

No! He told himself that's not want I want anymore! The hour glass cracked and faded to dust. A sigh of relief left his lips but his heart raced once more as Mikoyasha jumped on to him "Mikoyasha?" he said shocked.

"Kanda" she tightened her grip "please don't leave me" she pleaded "stay with me forever"

His heart fluttered as his face bushed. His eyes soften as he held her close "of course I won't" he promised her "I'll never leave you even if you get sick of the sight of me" he stroked her long silk hair "I love you" he admitted.

"I love you too"

The two shared an intimate moment together but it was soon interrupted by a scream "What the hell are you doing!" Behind them was a winged man with a dog like mask with red markings that allowed his mouth was seen. His clothes were white and baggy and his face held a grim frown.

Kanda stepped in front of Mikoyasha protectively "who are you?"

"I'm Santa Claus" the man groaned in mockery "do you not see the wings?" with an angry scowl he pointed to his back. Kanda stayed in his battle position. With a sigh the man looked blankly at him "look if you stay here you'll never get out of here so if you want to live you better come with me"

"I'm not going anywhere!" he yelled.

The man cracked his knuckles "then you live me no chose." In a blink of an eye punched Kanda's lights out. He swayed from side to side a stars spun around his head. He fell into the mysterious man's arms "come on let's go"

"Kanda, Kanda" whispered a hazy voice. A dark, blurred vision came into view. Soon the vision focused on a white haired exorcist.

He groaned "I told you to call me Yu you damn bean sprout"

"Sorry, I guess I'm not used to it yet." Allen said with a nervous laugh.

They scanned the brightly lit room. It would have been plain and empty if it wasn't for the never ending halls of doors. "Where are we?"

"You're in the bridge consciousness."

"It's where two or more separate consciences meet" replied the strangers.

"It's you!" Kanda screamed as he pulled out his blade "just who are you two?"

"Once again do you not see the wings?" groaned the man.

"Allow me to introduce ourselves" said the woman in a regel tone "I am Allen's guardian angel. For now you may call me…Kio." She said is slight hesitation and gestured to the man beside her "my colleague here is Yu's guardian angel"

"Hey" he greeted casually "I guess you can call me Aramitama"

"Guardian angels?" Allen questioned "why did you just appear now?"

"well were not supposed to show ourselves unless it' a cist. Witch it is" Aramitama replied "look if you don't wake up soon you'll be eaten by a tree."

The exorcist stared at him wide eyed and pale. "Huh?"

"It's true the innocence you seek had bonded in a tree deep with this forest. Those who came near undergo a sleeping trace which they cannot escape. Once the time is right the tree will devour its victim's flesh" Kio explained further.

"Why didn't you let us this sooner!"

"Rule number one for being a guardian angel: you are not permitted to show yourself in front of your human unless it's a matter of life and death" the male angle recited "back then it wasn't life and death now it is"

"Well that was helpful" Kanda whispered sarcastically "so how do we get out of this daydream?"

"There is only one way" Kio told them and pointed to the doors "each door holds a special memory. In one of these memories there is an item that has an importance to one of you. It holds the key to escape. It's the only way for the tree to attach its self telepathically". With a flick of a wrist almost all the door faded rapidly. Only three remained "I narrowed it down to these three however I don't know what lies behind them" she faced the exorcist "are you ready to take a trip down memory lane?" Uncertainty filled their mind but they had no chose but to trust them and so they nodded with little faith.

"Alright then" Aramitama leaped over to one door "what's behind door number one."

As the door creaked open a wave of light became darkness in seconds. A thick fog chilled their legs as grave stones came to view. The fingers of the bare trees twitched as they reached out for them. A silent sob came from a distance. "Mana" it cried.

Allen knew this place more than anyone. His keens buckled and fell as he clutched his eardrums "no not this" he cried as his eye cracked with sorrow and fear. A young boy with silver hair and a chequered coat appeared from the fog. He cried over a grave. That's when he appeared.

"Mana Walker. Shall I resurrect him for you?" the Earl loomed over the grave. With despair in his eyes the boy nodded.

"Allen don't" begged a voice. There behind him was the angel Kio "you can't trust that man" the angel desperately tried to hold him but he was too far into sorrow to hear her cries. Soon Mana was resurrected as an akuma. "No!"

The akuma Mana attacked swiftly and scraped the poor boy's eye. "I curse you Allen Walker!" it screeched hatefully.

The angel placed her hands in prayer "oh gift from heaven above I beg of thee to give this boy the strength to lay this forsaken soul to rest." Her body glowed with an angelic light. Then the boy's arm transformed into a weapon and attacked Mana. His face was pained with tear s of fear as the freak of nature hand grabbed the mechanical doll.

"Allen I love you. Please destroy me" those were his final words before he was destroyed by the hand.

"Mana!" the real Allen screamed as he sobbed in sorrow. "I should have listened to you" he cried "if I did maybe things would be different"

The others looked at him with worried eyes. Even Kanda showed a sense of compassion with comforting pat on the back "its ok Allen" he said quite oddly.

"Oh Allen please don't cry" the angel begged as she tiered to comfort the sobbing boy. "Please smile for me" she said as she snuggled up close to him. Only tears bared his sorrowful face. With a sigh she scanned the lifeless graveyard and had an epiphany. Whispers of enchantments left her mouth as a blossom sprouted by Mana grave. It gleamed with the colours of the rainbow as danced in the soft breeze. Enchanted the young Allen reached out to the soft petals and smiled slightly. "There's the smile I wanted to see." She wrapped her long arms around his tiny frame "don't worry Mana is in a better place now thanks to you"

"You promise" the boy spoke.

"I promise" Footsteps came their way as a red head in black appeared from the shadows. He reached out to him. "Go ahead Allen" the angel encouraged "no matter what befalls you in the future I shall stay by your side" a ghostly hand moulded on to his deformed arm "I swear." The red head man took the boy a way and the angel followed close behind.

Suddenly, the other two doors appeared "looks like it's not here" Aramitama groaned "on to the next one"

Allen was still wiping his tears away "are you ok?" his angel asked.

He nodded and faced her with smiling eyes "you kept your promise" he said "I remember now how you were always there when I'm alone, always there to make me smile and always there to help me" his eyes sadden once more "but then you disappeared. Why?"

"You were growing up Allen" she replied "You able to take care of yourself and became a man. You didn't need me to mother you"

"I see"

She held him in her ghostly arms "but know that even if you can't see me I will always be by your side. That is my duty as a guardian angel"

"As touching as this is can we get going?" Kanda yelled "I for one don't want to be a plant's next snack" as he as this the ground shook slightly.

"Looks like we're running out of time" the angel said "better hurry" he opened the door to the next memory.

Zaps of lighting streamed through the broken wires. The distinctive sent of blood lingered in the air. The thick, red substance splattered across the floor as corpses lay in rest. In the centre of this chaos was a boy with a weaponized body and strange tattoos.

Kanda stepped forward with eyes of fear "it can't be"

"Alma" yelled a young dark haired boy.

The monstrous boy smiled sadistically "Yu you're here"

He gagged at the gruesome scene "did you do this?"

"Yes" he said as he raised his weapon "now it's your turn" he attacked with all his might by the young Kanda blocked it. The two were intertwined in a battle of life and death.

"Why Alma?"

"Because we supposed to be dead Yu" he told him "we're not real. So won't you die with me once more?"

Realisation wavered his heart I'm supposed to be dead. His gip loosened that's right I'm just an experiment project. Do I even have the right to live? His heart filled with despair. "Maybe I should die"

"No!" Aramitama appeared "damn it Yu you can't die. Do you real think you have no place in this world?" the boy was silent. "Ok let me try a different question. What do you want?" This hit a nerve and he muttered his thoughts. "Come again?" the boy louder but still quite "louder!"

"I want to live"

"Say it like you mean it!" the angel growled.

"I want to live!" young Kanda screamed and strike down the mad boy. Relentlessly, the boy slashed and slashed until there was only lumps of flesh were left in the pool of blooded. "Forgive me my friend." Kanda dropped to his keens and laid still. "He's gone" small tears trickled down his cheek.

Aramitama leaned into his face "come on kid don't be like that." He was completely ignored "oh so you're going to ignore me eh?" he said with a hint of anger "well I'll do something you can't ignore" his body lost it glow as his wing skunked. His mask became one with his face and hair grew all-over. He dropped on all fours as the transformation completed. "Woof woof!"

Young Kanda glared at the pure white dog "Going away you stupid mutt"

His dropped his jaw in a dramatic fashion "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that" he barked once more but the boy just moved away. He growled "that's it" he pounced on the boy a licked him senselessly "I'm going to show you some love and affection even if I have to force on to you" he continued to lick just like an ordinary, happy, loving dog.

"Stop it" the child yelled but soon his frown was upside down "stop it tickles"

"That's it show me those pearly whites"

Soon the child laughed with all his heart content. The dog stopped and laid on his chest to rest. Kanda stroked his fined hairs "good doggy" the dog barked happily.

"Hello is anyone there?" a grey haired man entered the room. He spotted the child "well hello there" he held out a hand "would you like to come with me?" the boy was unsure but the dog encouraged him with a gentle nudged. Soon he accepted the offer and the man lifted with him and the dog close behind.

The real Kanda was frozen "Yu" Allen called out "you ok?"

"you were the dog?" he manage to say.

"yup" the angel replied

"Why did you leave?" he asked "one day I woke up to find you gone. Why?" he asked his angel.

The man sighed "I thought you would be fine without me- you didn't need me with you 24/7" he explained "It was time for you to make your own choses and mistakes so I had to leave to let you grow"

Kanda lowered his head "I see"

The angel ruffled his hair "hey don't be like that. Like Kio said it's my job as a guardian angel to protect you. So I'll always be with you but you might not see me." the ground below them shook harder than ever before. It made the fall and stumble "we have to keep moving"

Finally, the last door appeared. "There it is" Koi yelled "the key has to be there." Unable to stand on the unstable ground the too angels gapped the exorcists and flew off.

Darkness was pierced by a single candle light. The flame danced as the wax droplets ran down the side. The soft light reflected on a tear. A tear fell from a dark figure. In the figure's hand was an delicately carved wooden box.

The exorcists and angels stared in confusion "who's that supposed to be?" Kanda asked "Allen?"

He shrugged his shoulders "I thought you knew"

Suddenly, a violent knock echoed through the room "Kojuro!" yelled a voice

"Kojuro!" Kanda spat out surprised

"You know him?"

"Sort of" he replied grimly "Mikoyasha told me she had a lover before. His name was Kojuro" Allen looked shock as he turned back to the scene.

"I know you're in there open up!" With a powerful kick the door was knocked down. The figure glared back and faced away. There stood a dark haired man with an eye patch and a scowl. He sighed "look I know you're upset but you need to get over this. You know what they say there are many fish in the sea"

"There is no one likes her" Kojuro gripped the box tighter "I never got to ask her."

"Kojuro" the one eyed man stared at the box. He knew what he must do. Fast as lightning he snatched the box away.

"Masamune" the other growled

"This is what keeping you from moving on" he bended his arm back "then we just have to get rid of it" he threw the box out pass the crying window. As the box flew out into the pouring rain it opened slightly and rays of golden light seeped out.

"There's the key" the angels yelled and flew off to catch it along with the exorcist. With a little stretch they caught it "Got it"

With curiously they opened it a found a small sliver ring was a cherry blossom crystal. It sparkled with a beautiful shine. A ring? They thought as they looked back at the two men was he supposed to purpose?

"You can't stop me!" Kojuro yelled "my heart will never stop loving Mikoyasha"

Kanda eyes cracked opened as he fell back. The others caught him and screamed his name. He held his heart what's going on? Why is my heart burning? He stared at the strangers is it because of him? The ground shook even more violently than before as prices of the sky cracked to pieces.

"You guys don't have time for this" Aramitama yelled "hurry grab hold of the ring" they did as told "now image yourself out of here and back in your bodies" they closed their eyes and their mind became blank.

A pair of eyes cracked open, with thin red veins, as the exorcists found themselves merging with a great oak tree. Over half of their bodies were covered in bark. Kanda tried to move his arms but they were already swallowed by the tree "damn it"

Luckily for Allen, his left arm was free. "Innocence activate" with a shining light his arm transformed into an energy blade. Swiftly, he sliced himself and Kanda free from the man eating tree. The bark fell from their bodies as they landed softly on their feet "are you ok Yu?"

He nodded. Then an abnormal slithering sound came from the hole they escaped from. That's when pale branches sprouted out and attacked them with fierce kill intent. The two active their innocence and sliced the murderous branches to pieces but it was all in vain. Like the mythical hydra once you cut one two more grew in its place. "How the hell are we supposed to kill this thing?"

"I have no idea" the two kept running a dodging to no end.

"Allen" his angel called "I need you to listen to me"

"Kio?" he looked around "where are you?"

"You can't see me unless I'm in a special from but you can hear me. Now follow my instructions" he nodded "hold your lift arm out and close your eyes" he followed her every word. Her weightless, warm hand touched his. Within the darkness in his mind a spark appeared before him "tell me do you see a light?"

"Yes"

"Good now reach out for it and take it"

As he grabbed the glowing light in his head, his innocence tightened to a ball and shined with power. A new transformation took place as his arm shaped into a new weapon "a cross bow?" he stared at the massive bone like object in awe and that's when the branches attacked. "Well time to ty it out" he shot an arrow beam but it was a strange one. This is because one become five and burned the assaulting branches to ash however they were still able to regenerate but not multiplying.

"The fire it creates can stop the multiplying however they can still regenerate though slower"

"I can see that" Allen groaned "but how do you kill it?"

"Leave that to Yu" she told him "just clear the way"

Meanwhile, Kanda was still running away from branches, not wanting to make more. "Damn it how do you kill this thing?"

"You want to know?" whispered a mischievous angel.

"Aramitama! Where are you damn it?" he screamed in a panic.

"Calm down and trust me" the boy took a deep breath. "Now stop running and turn around"

"Are you crazy?" Kanda yelled as the branched whipped at his feet.

"Just do it" he did as he was told. Luckily, Allen was there to help and destroyed any branches that threatened him. "See your friend got your back." Kanda smiled lightly as a spark of joy went off in his heart. "I say we return the favour now close your eyes" he did as instructed. The man's ghost head travelled along his eyelids "do feel that?" he nodded "ok now open your eyes and focus on that tree. What do you see?"

His dark eyes sharpened "colours swirling around it" he head out his arms "I have one" he turned to his partner "Allen too"

"Good, now charge" with a warrior cry Kanda ran to his organic opponent "do you see it? A rift between the colours?"

"Yes"

"Then slice through that rift!"

Kanda screamed "mugen" and a wave of power sliced pass all that got in its way. It broker through enemy lines and sliced the core of the truck. Automatically, the violent branches withered away.

Aramitama chuckled "not as strong as mine but still pretty impressive" the tree toppled over to reveal the innocence in question.

"We did it" Allen cheered as he held up his deformed hand. Kanda looked questionably at it. "What you never seen a high five before?" he kept staring. Soon Allen realised and casted down his eyes "oh right" he lowered his hand however it was soon taken by Kanda's. Allen stared at their joined hands in pure shock.

Kanda smiled "I guess we did" the two smiled as they shook hands for the first time ever to congratulate each other on a successful mission and new found abilities.

Back in the order, the science division team were once again working late into the night only this time they had a source of entertainment. Mikoyasha sat at a paper free desk as she played a beautiful melody on a flute. The sweet song calmed the scientist minds as they worked. She been there for a while helping out here and there. A whistle disturbed her tune as the kettle alarmed them. "Oh the coffee is done." She hopped off and poured a cup for everyone.

"Thank you Mikoyasha" Komui cheered as he took a sip. "Mikoyasha has something been bothering you lately?" he asked out of the blue.

"Komui" Reever growled with gritted teeth "it ok if you don't want to tell us"

She lowered her head "its ok you all have the right to know. I found out most of my family are gone and had a visit from the earl" the atmosphere darkened as they stared in shock. She laughed sadly "do not threat I did not accept his proposal" they nodded in relief. "Komui I have a question. Dose the Earl always targets the weak who have lost a loved one?"

He responded with a nod "sadly this is true"

"I see" her eyes flashed red as her demonic markings faintly showed "I cannot allow that to continue" she hissed darkly. Surprised by the demonic expression the scientist shivered in place.

"Hello!" cheered the demonic spirit as he passed through the wall.

"Ah!" young Jonny screamed as his breathing quicken.

The demon got a slap in right head "Magatsuhi you scared the poor boy"

"Well how was I supposed to know he's easily frightened!" he argued.

"Anyway" sweet Tenseiga interrupted "we got some snacks for you guys"

"Oh thanks" Reever took the tray of freshly baked cookies. "Oh a thanks you Mikoyasha with your help we're able to get most of our work done for the first time ever"

"Well after all you've done for me it's the least I could do." The clock chimed and her expression shifted. "Oh look at the time we should all get to bed"

Reever rubbed his chin "well since we were able to get the work done I guess we can call I a night" they all cheered in delight.

Mikoyasha giggled "well goodnight everyone" she gave them each a goodnight kiss on the forehead.

With strange red faces the waved mindlessly "goodnight Miko" the said in union.

She laughed at them then faced Komui "Komui. Just know that everything I do is for all your sake."

He blinked twist at the odd comment but before he could ask she was gone. "What could that mean?" he wondered.

In the Miko's room her spirit guardians stared her down with piercing gazes "are you sure you want to do this?"

She nodded without meeting their "the order can't defeat the Noah by themselves without heavily bloodshed. I think I can prevent that from happening" she explained.

Tenseiga broke down in tears "but master if you go on with this you could…"

"I know the consequences" she interrupted firmly "but I have made my decision"

Midoriko nodded reluctantly "very well we will respect your decision

Me: finally someone answered me. Thank you to guest who say the last chapter was cute but he/she is worried that i have to many OCs.

Everyone: we agree!

Me: calm down. I would have to agree myself but it had to be done. However my final OC was Inu-kage meaning Kio, Chi-rin and Aramitama as well as Kojuro and Masamune are not OCs.

Everyone: what!

Me: Kio, Chi-rin and Aramitama are actually Characters from Inuyasha I just changed their names and disguise them. Can you find out who they are before I reveal them? as for Kojuro and Masamune they belong to sengoku basara. An anime i highly recommend. Also I'm thinking of making a prequel involving them. Thoughts?
