a/n:It's been a long long (long long) time, ne? I'm so sorry! I decided to make this easier for me, I will split the memory into four or five parts and try to update every Friday (or every other Friday). This will allow me to flesh out the back story and have a significance to the overall plot. So here is the first part. Enjoy!

Healer only looked back once our twice to assess how far the guard was behind her. Her boots only making a soft clinking noise through the carpeted hallway she was traversing. Healer's breaths were coming in short gasp as she ran. Despite being the healthiest of the trio, she had no doubt that it not good for each of them in the recovering condition, even after twelve days. She shook her head absentmindedly at Fighter's joke earlier. Healer could see past that kidding around, her friend was attempting to hide her anguish and fear through jokes. For know, they had to focus on the task at hand, and worry about their leader's emotions later. Though it concerned Healer that Fighter not be ready to take on this fight, even with her friends at her side.

Tumbling down one side hall, Healer jumped into a human sized dumb waiter, while the guard ran past her. Healer looked around, gauging her surrounding and trying to get a bearing as to where she was in location to the throne room, then observed something very interesting. This part of the castle seemed to be in disrepair. There were fewer working lights, particularly down this hall, the rugs seemed more worn and she couldn't put her finger on it, but it felt eerie.

That's when she looked down and observed an glow from below in the inky darkness.

"Obviously, this doesn't go down to the kitchen", she muttered to herself. This part of the castle had always been forbidden for Kakyuu and her Starlights, as her aunt stated that it was for guest and didn't want the "rabble" to disturb them. The Starlights had tried numerous times to sneak in, but was always stopped by a guard. But here was the truth, she was young, but Healer recognized a portal anywhere. Why then, was she suddenly 'free' to take refuge here if this was such a secret? Was it a trick? A trap? There was only one way to find out.

Closing her eyes, Healer pictured a person standing here entering the code, the image of the number sequence being punched formed in her mind's eye. Her eyes snapped open, and taking a few deep breaths, she put in the number sequence jumping only slightly as the elevator descended down to the portal.

There was an out of place ding! as it came to a stop and the doors swished open. Healer stepped through, Star Yell at the ready, but she herself was not yet ready for she was going to encounter in here.

Her footsteps echoed in the infinity dark and silent-whatever this was. Her foot caught something and she tumbled forward, barely catching on what she perceived as a table to keep from hitting the floor. Cursing under her breath, Healer pulled a flashlight from her pocket and put it on the lowest settings so that she could see, but it would not attract any attention.

"Speaking of attention, I would have thought someone would have noticed I was down here by now. The Queen's security is not that stupid, are they?" Healer commented.

A glint of light caught Healer's eye. Shining her flashlight, she saw the distinct shape of a starseed. She shook her head with a little tinge of sadness, the Starseed was pitch black, a sign that it had been taken from an ordinary human. But it was not the only one, there were several collecting dust on a table as though they were a forgotten hobby.

Next to it were files that were spread every which way, along with the corresponding files. Healer picked up several of them and read through a few.

Subject 3023trfg

Age: 32

Gender: F

Subject's starseed resisted enhancement. It was discarded.

Healer put down the file and read one after another, and she grew ever closer to being heartsick. She pondered for a moment while looking at the discarded starseed. How were they obtained? Who would know have the knowledge to extract them in the first place? And more to the point, why? There were more questions than answers down here, and she had to tell her comrades about what she had found. Taking one of the files, Healer folded it quickly into her infinity pocket and made her way back to the lift. Healer felt something like a cold breeze brush the back of her neck as she fled, causing her to look back only once, and seeing nothing, continued to run.

It was only when the elevator began its ascent that Healer began to fill strange. Her head felt as though it were full of wool and a gripping pain pounded at her forehead. She slumped sideways and remained in the elevator even after it had dinged. Healer felt sick and suddenly it occurred to her...what had she been doing in this elevator in the first place? She hadn't remember why she had even gotten into it, nor where it had gone. One thing was sure, she knew that she had to get out of it.

Stumbling out, Healer tried to gain control of her legs and only managed a crawl back into the hallway. With all her might, she brought herself to a standing position, her breath ragged with the effort.

She stepped into the corridor. Something-she was suppose to be doing something. A mission? She couldn't even recall at the moment. Still uncoordinated, Healer heard the voice of a guard, who, much to her surprise, seemed to come out of the woodwork.

"Look what I caught." The gravelly tone of the rather flat faced, surly guard growled.

"Can you..." Healer tried to find her voice, "I don't know...where I am suppose to-" She shook her head, "Am I needed somewhere?"

"Yea you are girlie. Ya have an appointment with the Queen." He responded, as he deployed a Combat-Siege Pack that instantly tied Healer in ropes. An electric charge surged through them, making her world slip away from her again.
