I took her breathing mask off…
"Hold it!" yelled a voice. A nurse ran over to us and she gasped a little bit at Xanthe. "So what is you plan?" she asked. I looked at her nametag. Her name was Jenny.
I told her my plan and she shrugged.
"It might work."
"What is the percentage that it will work?"
"The percentage is .09 out of 100%."
I gulped.
"Let's abandon your idea Mace. I don't think that it will work." Said Jade
"Yeah, I agree with Jade. It is unlikely. She has a better chance of living with help from the pros."
I stomped my foot in frustration. "Come on! I know that it will work! Can we please try it?" I asked. I wasn't going to give up.
"Mace! It won't work! God, what don't you get about that?"
"XANTHE! IT WILL WORK!"
They were silent.
"Fine, we will try your idea." Said Jade.
"Just to let you know, if this doesn't work, then she will surely die if she isn't already dead." Jenny implied.
I gulped and Xanthe turned into a dragon.
"Alright. Open up her mouth." Commanded Xanthe.
"Wait a second."
I got down and kissed Ever, if she was still alive. Then I opened up her mouth. "Are you ready Xanthe?" I asked.
She nodded and breathed some fire into her mouth for awhile. I don't know how long she did it for. Somehow nothing in her body burned. Kind of weird if you think about it. I placed my hand over Ever's heart. It was beating a little bit faster.
"She is still alive. Somehow, she is still alive." I announced.
Xanthe turned back into a human.
"And now we wait."
5 minutes later:
Ever was still hadn't moved. I was getting impatient, even though her heart was beating about 15 beats faster.
"I don't think that it worked Mace. Why don't we try something else?" Suggested Jenny.
"No, her heart rate is speeding up! She will live! Put your hand over her heart!"
She walked over to me and put her hand over Ever's heart. A look of surprise appeared on her winkled up face. "It is beating."
I looked at Jade. She smiled and I walked over to her.
"Do you think that she is going to live?" She asked me.
I nodded.
"If she lives then thank you."
"Ok."
I looked back at Ever. Dang it, she looked really good in whatever she was wearing…
"Did you make her wear that?" I asked Jade.
She laughed. "Yeah."
There was silence. Jade was playing with some pebbles, Xanthe was exploring the big crystal cave, and I was pacing back and forth while glancing over at Ever every few seconds.
30 minutes:
Ever wasn't moving and I was staring to give up. I was rubbing her leg. I sighed.
"Come on Ever. I know that you're not dead. Please wake up because I love you Ever. You can do it."
Silence. Then I looked at her face. Her eyes flickered open but she was still pale.
"What? Where am I ?" She asked quietly and weakly
"YOU ARE ALIVE!" I screamed while Jade and Xanthe ran over.
I picked her up and planted a kiss on her lips.
"Mace…W.T.F?"
"It's alright."
"No it isn't. Can you let me go before… ?" she asked me the she looked around the cave. Her eyes widened in fascination.
"Before…"
"I kick your butt, no duh!"
"Oh! Your alive!" said Jenny.
Ever looked at us with a confused look on her pretty face. "What in the world happened?"
"You almost died again. Well, you were probably dead for a few minutes. " Answered Jade with a sad expression painted on her face.
Her eyes widened a little bit. "Really?"
"Yes, really." I said.
She looked up at me. "Why did I die idiot?" Ever asked me.
"You almost died because you are a child of Phoenix."
"Okay… now can you please let me go? I still hate you!"
"Ever!" exclaimed Xanthe.
"What? I want him to go away! And don't call me that!"
"Coco! If it wasn't for him loving you then you would've stayed dead! He saved you from death and the devil! You should thank him, not insult him!"
She looked at Jade. "Is he lying?"
Jade grinned. "Nope!
Then Coco shivered.
"Are you cold?" I asked her.
She nodded and gazed into my eyes. "Did you really save me?"
I nodded and she looked at the ground.
"Hey guys, come on-we need to get back to Blackwater Academy. Xanthe can fly Ever there and Jade and Mace you can take the elevator back."
Ever's POV
After Dinner…
I was lying down and my friends were sitting on my bed.
"I can't believe that jerk!" I said to myself.
God, who does Mace think that he is? Why did he…
"Coco, I've told you this a million times, but he saved your life! Come Coco, give the dude a chance! At least he isn't ugly and he is single now! I DARE you too go out with him at least once!" said Xanthe.
"Why should I?"
"'Cuz he saved your life and I'll give you whatever you want if you do!" Answered Jade. "Especially a new kitten or puppy!"
"Hmmm…but shouldn't the guy ask the girl instead of the other way around?"
"Yeah, but that's SO last decade Coco." Xanthe implied.
"I'm not asking him out Jade and Xanthe."
"Will you go out with him though?"
"No."
"C'mon Coco! I'll buy you a kitten or puppy, remember?" Jade pleaded.
"Why are you taking his side?"
"Because he's a sweet guy!"
I laughed. "Him? Sweet? You must be joking! I need proof."
Xanthe gave me her phone. "Watch the first video."
I shrugged and rubbed my left eye. I watched the video of what happened in the cave. "So he really does?" I whispered to them.
"Yes!" exclaimed Jade.
"Oh joy." I also whispered with sarcasm falling off of my tongue. "Can I be alone for a few minutes?"
They nodded and left me alone and I closed my eyes. About 20 minutes later, someone called me. I took it out and checked the ID. It was unfamiliar.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Is this Coco?"
I couldn't recognize the voice on the other side off the phone. All I knew was that it was masculine. "Yes. Who is this?"
"It's Mace."
Ugh. Him? Really? "What is it Mace?" I looked around the room. Sarah was glaring at me. I stuck my tongue out at her and she pouted. She looked really mad.
"Umm…"
I sighed. Sarah was starting to get up."If you have nothing to say then I'm going to hang up. Your ex-girlfriend is looking like she wants to murder me."
Silence. "I just wanted to know how you were doing. Are you feeling better?"
"Yeah, I'm going to hang up-" Sarah snatched the phone away from me and threw it at the window. It broke. No….
"What the hell Sarah? What was that for?"
"Don't talk to my boyfriend, bitch!"
"Hey! Don't accuse me! He was the one who called me! Mace was the one who likes me! I don't care about him!"
She laughed. "Don't lie to me Ever! I know that you like him, just like you did years ago!"
I looked at her, confused. "What are you talking about?"
Sarah raised her eyebrows. "You don't remember?"
I shook my head.
"SARAH!" yelled a girl.
Then she walked away. That was weird. What in the world was she talking about? I shook my head. Then I reached into my skirt pocket and unfolded the paper that Brendon gave me and read it.

I want to scream at Sarah for killing Ever's phone! Ha ha. You weren't expecting Brendon to a prince, were you? but Brendon means prince so I just thought, hey, why not make him a prince? If your wondering where I get some of the names from...I got them from . I created the name Kalyn though!

I don't think that this a fanfic anymore(but it is only the 'beginning'-the month is Oct.-The story is "supposed to" be late Sept. through May!
