Ultimatum
POV Peter's
We were all at the factory, as Jeremy was showing us his new invention.
"So you're saying that this thing can destroy someone who's under Xana's control?" Yumi asked.
"It isn't a thing, it's an EMP bomb," Jeremy said, holding up his finger.
"It makes an electromagnetic, explosion that affects anything electronic and, because of somebody under Xana's controlled by a force field, well…" Jeremy started to explain but Odd interrupted
"Uh, Jeremy, we have a class in about 20 minutes. Can you give us the short version?" Odd asked, laughing.
"Bomb explodes, guy under Xana's control obliterated," Jeremy replied.
"Great," Aelita said.
"Yeah, sounds good," Patricia said.
"Yeah, except for one little thing: we haven't come up with a mini version yet," Jeremy said.
"I'm sure you'll work it out, Einstein," I said.
Later outside by the cafeteria
"Huh, what do you know? Jade isn't with you. Oh, of course not, I just saw her with William, Patricia, and Yumi. How stupid of me," Sissi said.
"You got that right," Ulrich said as Sissi and her group walked away.
"She bugs me," I said.
"Tell me about it," Ulrich said.
"Why is it every time you two see Sissi, you feel like being nasty?" Jeremy asked.
"Maybe because of being with someone that's nasty rubs off on you," Ulrich said.
"Yeah, that's for sure," I said. Jeremy's laptop began to buzz. He opened it.
"An activated tower - Xana's on the move again. Too bad for our music class. Let's get to the factory," Jeremy said as he got up from the stairs.
""Uh, I'm not —", I was about to say I wasn't going, when Uncle Jim said,
"Where do you think you kids are going? That's the way to your classroom."
He pointed as we saw Mr. Delmas, and Nurse Yolanda walking away from him.
"Oh no." Ulrich groaned.
In class
We were in class. Our music teacher played the flute.
This is as dull as it was back in my world, I thought.
Nicolas barged in, making the teacher stop. "Delmas and Yolanda, just kidnapped Ishiyama, Della Robbia, Morrales, and Kesley."
"Xana," Jeremy whispered.
"What kind of nonsense is this?" our music teacher asked.
"But it's true, sir. They even beat up William Dunbar," Nicolas replied, our classmates gasped.
"Don't you move. I'll be right back," our music teacher said. Our classmates started talking.
No not my little sister… I thought.
"Yumi isn't answering; Odd isn't either." Ulrich said after hanging up his phone.
I decided to call Patricia.
"Patricia's not answering either. Sissi said she was with Jade too. How did this happen? Yolanda and Delmas?" I asked.
Jeremy received a text message.
"Aelita and Peter, two o'clock at the ice sector to give themselves up to the Scyphozoa's. If not, Odd, Yumi, Patricia, and Jade will be liquidated."
We all gasped as Ulrich got up and said,
"We don't have any time to lose, let's go."
"Okay," Jeremy said.
"I want everybody in their seats, right now," our music teacher said, coming back in.
"How do people expect us to save the world, if they can't leave us alone? Ulrich asked, sitting back down.
Our classmates began asking questions as our teacher said,
"And quiet down."
Outside by the arches
"Right then, everybody here? Classes are canceled for the rest of the day…" Uncle Jim said. We snuck past him and the police, walking slowly and quietly. As we reached the arches, Uncle Jim called our names.
"Stern, Belpois, Stones, Peter."
"Definitely not our day," Jeremy said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if they knew something about what happened to my father. They probably know what happened to Yolanda too," Sissi said.
"Come on, you four, follow me," An officer said.
"Ready?" Ulrich asked.
"Peter, come over here this instant!" Jim exclaimed yelled.
"Ready," I replied.
"Go!" Jeremy exclaimed as we started running for the factory.
"What? Hey, come on get back here!" Uncle Jim exclaimed as we all jumped off the steps and landed. We continued running away from the police and Jim, as we climbed over the fences. We made our way across the track field. I could hear Uncle Jim behind me, we tried to speed up
"We got them," One of them said as I tried breaking free.
"I'll handle this," Uncle Jim said, I then heard a crash.
Outside of Delmas's office
"Nice going, Sissi, you really messed up this time. It so happens we're the only ones, who can help your father and Miss Yolanda," Jeremy said.
"What do you mean?" Sissi asked.
"Your father; and Miss Yolanda are – uh – possessed," Aelita said.
"Oh, yeah right, like in Hospital of Horrors?" Sissi asked.
"And they've been taken over by a demonic entity who will make them do unspeakable things, huh?"
"Well, pretty much yeah," I said.
We explained things to Sissi about Lyoko, and about me.
"So in order, to help my father and Miss Yolanda, you have to go and deactivate a tower that's in a virtual universe? Peter, you're also saying that you're from an alternate Earth, similar to ours but different?" Sissi asked.
"That's right," Jeremy replied.
"And yes I am. I'm still unsure how I ended up near Kadic in this world," I said.
"My, uh, last question. Why should I help a couple of complete wackos, pathological liars, huh?" Sissi asked.
"Keep it down," one of the three policemen said.
"Humph," Sissi said, looking away from us.
"It's not else you'll be helping, it's your father and Miss Yolanda. You have to trust us, I'm begging you," Aelita said.
"Thank you, you can go home now," the detective said, letting William go.
"Elizabeth Delmas, it's your turn."
Sissi got up from the couch as she went inside

A few minutes later the detective opened the door.
"Evacuate the school!"
"Huh?!" We all exclaimed as Sissi was standing at the door with a smile.
We went outside, as we started running away from the building. We caught our breath.
"Thanks for trusting us, Sissi," Jeremy said.
"Don't mention it, but if your story about a virtual world turns out to be phony, and Peter being from a parallel world is fake too, you're going to regret it," Sissi said as Jeremy's phone began to ring, he answered it.
"Ulrich, where are you? Xana's ultimatum expires in fifteen minutes," Jeremy said, looking at his watch.
We started running toward the factory.
"Sissi, what are you doing?" Jeremy asked.
"I'm coming with you, remember my father's involved in this. Our school nurse too, we need to save them. Besides, I want to check out this virtual and parallel world business, you've been blabbing about," Sissi said.
"Oh, alright." Jeremy groaned, we made it to the sewer grate.
At the factory
"Wow, I feel like I'm in a James Bond movie," Sissi said.
Aelita and I were with Jeremy by the monitor.
"Xana doesn't waste time. Your friends, the Skipizoas are already waiting for you," Jeremy said.
"How much time before the Ultimatum is up?" Aelita asked.
"Two more minutes," Jeremy replied.
Jeremy called Ulrich.
"Hurry, one minute to go, Ulrich!"
"But, Jeremy, there are dozens of old rooms here," Ulrich said.
"I should have handed myself over to the Skipozoa," Aelita said.
"Yeah, same, I think it would have been for the best…" I said, trailing off.
"No, and no, it wouldn't have. Ulrich's, going to make it," Jeremy said as we watched the countdown. There was less than five seconds.
"The Ultimatum is up," Jeremy said as the countdown reached zero.
"Jeremy, that bomb you made it won't blow away the principal and Miss Yolanda, will it?" Ulrich asked.
"Uh, well, theoretically speaking… no," Jeremy replied.
"Watch out!" Ulrich exclaimed as we soon heard silence.
"Ulrich! Ulrich! Can you hear me?" Jeremy asked.
"You said that the bomb would fry anything electronic, so that would mean cellphones too right?" Aelita asked.
"Oh, I'm such a dork! I hadn't thought of that," Jeremy replied.
"Can't we find out, if it worked? My father and Miss Yolanda; might be dead by now," Sissi said.
"Or in great shape, giving the others a piece of their minds," Jeremy said as Aelita and I sighed.
Jeremy started pacing.
"Oh no, what rotten luck."
"Oh, Jeremy," Sissi said as she kicked his legs then punched him in the stomach, knocking him out cold.
"Nice job. Where did you learn to punch like that?" Aelita asked.
"I took Pencak Silat, to impress you actually. But it never worked." Sissi replied looking at me.
"Well, I'm pretty hard to be impressed by most people," I said.
"By the way, why did you ask me to do that?" Sissi asked.
"We have to help Ulrich, Odd, Yumi, Patricia, and Jade. Only I can deactivate the towers, and Peter he can protect me.
But we need to be careful, and Jeremy would have never let us do this," Aelita said.
We went down into the scanners room. Aelita took the middle one, and I took the one on the left.
"Sissi, now," Aelita said.
"Are you, um, sure?" Sissi asked.
"We're sure," I replied.
"Do it, Sissi," Aelita said.
The scanners closed as Sissi began the virtualization process

If she was a different person, she could have been a great Lyoko Warrior, I thought.
I closed my eyes as the scanners light was surrounding me. A flash of light finally enveloped all around me, as I was virtualized onto Lyoko. I made a safe landing, as I took a deep breath.
"It's been too long," I said.
We started running as lasers were being fired at us. We looked behind, to see three Kankerlats. We kept running, as the lasers missed us.
We got to this place, with a lot of curvy ice blocks. We looked down to see a long ice slide leading into a cave. Aelita and I jumped as we slid down the ice slide.
Aelita was screaming, and I could hear the Kankerlats following us down the slide.
To be honest, I'm actually having a lot of fun, I thought.
"Are you having fun?" Aelita asked.
"Um, no," I replied.
We made it down to the cave, Aelita screaming the entire way. I couldn't help but grin a little but stopped when the Kankerlats started firing again. Thankfully they missed because of the slide. One of them got destroyed, we soon saw a exit. We fell from the edge and slid into a wall. A Kanderlat tried to follow and was destroyed as it slammed against the wall.
There was one left as it started going toward us, but we backed away. I tried using my fire balls, and they weren't working! We heard the two Scyphozoa's we looked behind us, it pulled Aelita and I up as its tentacles made their way to our heads.
My eyes were starting to close as, everything was beginning to go dark.
I heard Aelita fall. Seconds later, I was dropped to the ground. I struggled to get to my feet as Yumi flew over to Aelita on her Overwing and Patricia came over to me on an Overwing of her own.
A long time ago, Patricia asked Jeremy to make one for her, guess he finally did it.
"We came as fast as we could," Patricia said to me.
"Will you be alright?" Yumi asked Aelita.
"Uh-huh," Aelita replied.
"Okay, settle up," Yumi said as Aelita went hopped on the Overwing. I went boarded onto Patricia's Overwing.
We made our way for the tower.
"The activated tower, should be straight ahead of you. Watch it now. Ulrich must be taking a beating by now," Jeremy said.
We reached where the tower was or at least, where it should be.
"Jeremy, there's no activated tower here," Yumi said.
"The scan picked it up. It has to be somewhere," Jeremy said. We started hovering around the area.
"Your pals the Tarantula's are there," Jeremy warned.
"Thanks for the tip," Odd said.
We hovered around the area as the Tarantulas started firing at us. One of them hit Odd and Patricia
We got a little off balance, but Patricia kept calm.
We continued dodging the lasers.
"Look! It looks like the entrance to, an ice cave," Aelita said.
Odd distracted the Tarantula's. Odd soon came back to us.
"Odd, you get one of those Tarantula's and I'll get the other one," Yumi said.
"Okay!" Odd exclaimed giving the thumbs up. Odd flew away.
"Aelita, Peter. You two are going to have to jump at the right moment," Yumi said.
"Yumi, I can't deactivate the tower. I can't even manage a fire ball again…" I trailed off.
"I might need some help, Peter," Aelita said.
"Hurry, Ulrich and Jade are getting massacred. So is Sissi now," Jeremy informed. We saw Odd get devirtualized.
"Change of plan, you and Peter take the controls. Patricia, you're with me," Yumi said.
"Gotcha," Patricia said.
"Let's go," Yumi said, jumping down as Patricia did too. Aelita and I took control of the vehicles as we made our way for the entrance. We got behind the last tarantula, as Yumi had devirtualized the other one.
"Now!" Yumi exclaimed.
"You can do it, Peter!" Patricia exclaimed.
We jumped from our vehicles and into the entrance as we began to slide down into another ice slide.
We saw the entrance leading to the tunnel as we made a bad tumble down. We got up and started running to the tower.
"Here's the tower," Aelita said.
"Hurry up," Jeremy said. Aelita slowly went in first as I went in after her.
We walked onto the first platform as it lite up, and we rose up to the second one. We touched down on the second as one, as Aelita placed her hand on the panel.
Aelita?
Code?
… Lyoko
I pressed my hand on the panel.
Peter?
Code?
Lyoko
Access denied! New Powers granted… Electricity, the panel read as Aelita said
"Tower deactivated." The files went down as I felt a surge of electricity powering into my body, and I had a field of electricity around my hands.
In the factory
"You could go ahead Jeremy, I wonder what would be worse. Being blind, or seeing this," Jade said as we got into the lab. Jeremy was beginning the return to the past.
"See what?" Yumi asked.
"Um, where's Odd?" Patricia asked.
"He's preoccupied," Jade replied.
"Huh?" I asked as we got to the monitor.
"Return to the past now!" Jeremy exclaimed as a big white bubble engulfed us all.
The same day again, by the cafeteria
"Huh, what do you know? Jade isn't with you. Oh, of course not, I just saw her with William, Patricia, Yumi, and Odd. How stupid of me. Ciao," Sissi said, walking away with her group.
"Uh, Ulrich, Peter, hello? Are you two still thinking about what happened on the bridge?" Jeremy asked.
I still can't believe she kissed Odd, I thought.
"What happened on the bridge?" Yumi asked with her hands on her hips.
"Yeah, what did happen on the bridge?" Aelita asked.
"Nothing," Ulrich quickly replied.
"Yeah nothing," I said.
"Jade want to tell us?" Patricia asked.
"Nothing, like they said," Jade replied.
"Odd?" Yumi asked.
"But it's true, nothing happened," Odd replied as the bells rung for class.
Saved by the bell, I thought.
"Okay, it's time for class," Jeremy said, closing his laptop.
We walked away.
"Odd, I'm so sorry," I said.
"Don't talk about it," Odd said.
POV Patricia's
"What could they be hiding?" Yumi asked.
"Don't worry, I'm sure it's just another boy thing," Aelita replied.
"Jade, you should really tell us," I said.
"Like I said it's nothing," Jade said.
"Hm…" Yumi said as we saw Odd let Sissi go in front of him.
Huh… I thought.
