New chapter is up! Hope you like it!

Reviews are always very welcome! I think about continuing the flashback and tell the story of swarkles-weekend at Loretta´s. What do you guys think? I wouldn´t drag it out too long and continue with the actual story, I swear ;) Tell me what you think! xx

When Robin finally arrives at Loretta´s house, she feels nervous. It feels like she hasn´t seen Barney in ages and now she finally sees him again, but under horrible circumstances. She hasn´t called Barney after their chat, so she doesn´t know how James feels. Robin really hopes he will wake up and be fine soon. She likes James very much, he was always very kind and nice to her. Before she rings the doorbell, she has to think about the last time she was at this place.

4 months earlier

"Mom? Are you there? It´s me, Barney! And I also have some visitor with me!"

Suddenly a blond-haired woman appears. "My luv-luv! What a great surprise!"

"Hey mom! You look great! I hope we don´t disturb you, but James said he is going to visit as well and he wanted to see me. So we thought, we could have a little family dinner tonight!"

"Of course not! You´re always welcome here. This is such a nice idea, we haven´t had a family dinner like forever!"

Loretta stops talking when she sees the brunette girl right behind Barney. She looks questioningly at her son, "who is this young lady?"

"Mom. This is Robin, a very good friend of mine! I wanted you to finally meet her."

"Hello, Mrs Stinson. I´m glad to finally meet you! Barney has told me a lot of great stuff about you."

"You can call me Loretta, dear. Nice to meet you. Barney hasn´t brought a girl here since…, well I can´t even remember to be honest. Anyways, come in, you two."

Barney and Robin step in and make themselves comfortable on the couch. After a little chit-chat with Loretta, the doorbell rings. "That must be James", Barney screams excitedly and runs to open the door. Robin sees James and Tom enter and hugging Barney. After Loretta welcomed them, Barney drags them to Robin. "James, Tom, I want you to meet Robin."

"Oh hey, Robin! Barney has told me a lot about you. I didn´t know you were coming."

"Hey James", Robin shakes his hand, "nice to meet you. I didn´t know I was coming either, it was kind of a spontaneous decision."

The five of them prepare dinner and enjoy a nice evening with lots of laughter. None of them realizes how late it gets and at 11p.m. they are still sitting at the dinner table.

"It was such a nice evening, but I´m very tired. You´ll have to excuse me, but I´m going to go to bed now.", Loretta finally says.

"Of course, mom. Robin and I should head back to New York now, it´s pretty late already", Barney answers.

"You want to drive home now?", James asks confusedly, "I thought you guys were staying overnight."

"You really should stay. You can drive home tomorrow. It´s only Saturday, you won´t even need to go to work tomorrow", Loretta says.

"Yeah, you could stay in Barney´s old room!", James suggests.

Barney and Robin finally agree and decide to stay with a wonderful weekend ahead of them.
