Four years ago,

I'd have boarded a train from

Reading to Manchester

And I would have gone to your house

And we would have spent our last moment

In each others arms.

With soft shaking fingertips.

We'd held back for years.

The room

Because you were never far behind me.

And I'd kiss your forehead

And apologise for the little things that annoyed you.
