Yes, the last chapter was dark. No, I am not sorry about it. Enjoy!

Roseanne's POV:

She hid in the shadows as she waited. It was hard to believe that they were alive. She had watched them get shot from Peeta's side. Not that Septa would remember seeing her. She was worried how the other victors would react. All of them thought she had died in Nine with her mother. She had thought Gale was dead until she had been sent into the jails to attend to one of prisoners. It had happened to be Gale. She had told no one that Coin had her undercover. She wondered if Coin had told anyone. She hadn't heard from Coin in a few weeks and was worried. She had recognized Daren and Johanna when they were out on the streets the other night and had followed them back.

She saw Daren and Lin return to Lin's house and go in. "That's the one." She steeled herself and walked forward. She hesitated a moment before knocking, he mind latching onto the phrase Coin had given her the last time they had spoken. It was one Septa would know. Lin opened the door.

"Can I help you?"

"I am looking for the owner of this house." Lin turned his head and waved for someone. Someone was suddenly standing behind her, a knife in her back.

"Give me one good reason not to kill you right now, Roseanne." Septa hissed.

"For Cain and Isaac." She whispered loud enough for only Septa to hear.

"That's not going to work, Roseanne." Roseanne's mind raced. That was the phrase Coin had given her to give to Septa. It should have worked.

"What if I were to tell you the truth of who I am?" Roseanne tried. The pressure of the knife lifted slightly. She could tell that Septa was thinking. Lin moved out of the way of the door and she was shoved in and up the stairs. She could hear other voices in the kitchen. She was shoved into a dark room and landed on the bed. The door closed and a small table lamp turned on. She could tell that Septa was not amused by the look in her eyes.

"Talk. If I don't like what you have to say, you are not leaving this house alive. Am I understood?"

"Clearly, Septa." Roseanne sat up on the bed and tucked her graying, blonde hair behind her ears. "My name is not Roseanne. I am actually Primrose Everdeen."

The Victors:

"Who do you think was at the door?" Daren asked. He had seen Septa as she led a woman up the stairs.

"Who knows?" Haymitch sounded off. "I want to know how she found us. Someone had to have been followed." He looked at Daren and Johanna.

"The only way we could have been recognized is if that woman knew who we were. Which means that it had to be someone from the Districts who moved to the Capitol during the Relocations." Daren defended. He was worried about his daughter. He could tell that she hadn't been sleeping well lately and she was on edge. The Games had ended just that morning and now they were waiting for the victor to wake up. Gale had already been informed and had responded that all their forces were stationed outside the mountains, waiting for the crowing ceremony. Katniss was worried that whoever showed up at the door would ruin their plans.

The floor creaked as two people came down the stairs. Septa, led by Roseanne, entered the kitchen. Katniss was looking out the window and not paying attention, thinking that Septa was just showing the woman out. "Quack." The word was so soft that she almost missed it.

"Quack yourself." Katniss responds without thinking. She suddenly felt everyone's eyes on her. She decided to look at the woman and froze. Though it had been years, she would never forget the blue eyes she had grown up with. "Prim?" She whispered. The blonde smiled and nodded. "They told me you had died." Katniss turned to Haymitch. "You told me she was dead! Why did you lie to me?" Septa grabbed Katniss before she could strangle the old man.

"I thought she was dead." Haymitch whispered, his face pale. "Coin told me that she and your mother had died in the raid in Nine."

"Prim, Katniss, go upstairs. We'll talk in the morning." The sisters nodded and left the kitchen. Septa faced the others. "Dad, how many other dead are actually alive?"

"I've no idea, Septa. I'm with Haymitch. I thought that Prim and her mother had died years ago. It seems that the President isn't the only one playing God with people's lives." He said meaning Katniss. For close to thirty years, everyone in the Districts had believed she was dead. Most of Thirteen had as well, except for Haymitch and Coin who had suspected she was alive.

"How can we be sure that she is who she says she is?" Johanna asked. "She could have just made up the whole thing."

"Do you think I would have let Katniss go with her alone if I didn't believe her? What just happened, happened on the day Katniss volunteered to go into the Arena in place of Prim. It was said in the privacy of their own house with only their mother present. No one else would have known it."

"So you trusted her not to fake it?"

"I had no choice. I didn't have any other way to test her. This was the truest test I could come up with." Septa turned on her heel and went out the door, needing to be alone.

Septa:

I look at the two sisters sitting on the couch. Coin could have told me that she had a spy here. It would have saved me time and spies when forming my own plan. Why didn't she want us to know that Prim was alive? What was the purpose of sending Prim into Nine where she would have died. She would explain soon enough. Dad, Lin, and Rynna were out listening for word if the victor had woken and was out of the hospital. I look out the window and see them running to the house. I throw open the door and they tumble in. I shut it quickly and make sure they weren't being followed. Though, Dad is smart enough not to come back with Peacekeepers on his heels.

"What is the matter with you three?" I hiss as they try to catch their breath.

"Sorry, Septa." Dad says. "But I almost walked straight into a group of Peacekeepers. They're filling the streets around the Training Center. It's almost as if they suspect an attack."

"The President does suspect an attack. He was a victor in the Games." Prim announces. I look at her. She is standing. "He knows that Thirteen is still out there. He thinks, he hopes, that they will bypass the Districts and come straight here when the victor wakes up."

"I think, Prim, it's time you tell us what is really going on." I say. She nods and looks at us all.

"Okay. After the attack in the Capitol failed, everyone in Thirteen thought that everyone who had come was dead. A month later, Haymitch showed up at the second location where we were. Coin knew they weren't going to be able to hold the Districts. Mom was already in Nine, tending to the wounded. Coin called me into her office and told me that they needed an undercover agent. She called it a Sleeper Agent. That meant that I would have to go undercover and wait for instructions activating me. By then, the new President had taken over and was taking in orphans. She sent me into Nine, knowing a raid would be coming. When it did, I was to hide and not come out until I saw Peacekeepers. I did as instructed and the plan worked. I was taken to the President and he took me in. After the fighting stopped and it was apparent that I couldn't remember who my parents were, he adopted me and named me Roseanne. I didn't talk to Coin again until a few weeks ago. She told me that she was no longer in charge but the one who was in charge had no knowledge of me. No one knew of me. Not even Haymitch. She told me that when I saw a victor from the days before the Mockingjay Rebellion that I was to follow them and hope they lead me to whoever was in charge. I recognized Daren from pictures the Katniss and Peeta would look at before the Reaping for the Quell. And Johanna from watching the Quell.

"I've gathered a lot of information. Though, I will admit that I almost forgot what I was supposed to do. I lost myself, for a time, in my new identity. I got married. Had children. I found happiness. If I had had a daughter, I would have named her after Katniss because I never forgot you." Prim turns slightly to her sister. "When Coin contacted me, she told me very little, only that the victors would soon be in the Capitol or near it. She didn't tell me who was in charge. I lost contact with her after that."

"That is because she is dead." Haymitch answers. "She passed away just before we started taking the Districts when the Games started."

"What information do you have to tell us?" I ask. She looks at me.

"The doctors expect Elizabeth to wake up in a few hours. After that, it'll be another day or two before she is fit to be seen again. The President plans on having me do the crowning ceremony. He is dying and has been bedridden for the past week. Though, he is planning on making an appearance at the crowning ceremony. The doctors don't expect him to live much longer. He'll be lucky to live another week from what they're saying. He's been stressing himself over the movements of Thirteen. He thinks that you are dead and that they have a new leader. As far as I know, he thinks the Districts are still his." She looks at me. "What is your plan, Septa?"

"As you know, the Districts are ours. We are going to attack during the crowing ceremony. The command is to kill the Peacekeepers and not any of the citizens and no one on stage unless they are Peacekeepers. I will be going after the President and getting you and Elizabeth to safety. Be ready." I tell her. She nods and goes out the door. She still has an image to keep up. She is still the President's daughter. I look at the others. I can tell that Katniss is worried. I know that if Coin wasn't already dead, Katniss would be planning her death. But she doesn't understand the sacrifices Coin and I have made. Coin used one thirteen year old. I was willing let forty-six others die as a distraction, even though in the end it was only twenty-three who had died as a distraction. "Send word the Gale. Tell him to be ready for my call." Daren nods and goes into the cellar.

Looking forward to your reviews for this chapter. hehehehe. Thanks for reading.
