Separation Of the Bloodlines: An Alternate Version of Ariel's Death
(Disclaimer see Summary, I know that it has been a very long time since I worked on this fiction; again I have been going through a lot of personal problems... This is an alternate chapter about what could've happened...)
Minnka was watching as her travelling companions fuss over Toga, who smiled and laughed and tried to pull on his uncle's trademark ears Ariel was doing her best not to laugh; hell even Sesshomaru was trying not to laugh. Koga and Shippo, on the other hand, they were laughing themselves sick even Kagome Ayame and Sango were cracking up hard, the young nineteen year old finally let out a few cute giggles. Ariel looked over ''Is that Minnka laughing? Minni that's the first time that I heard you laugh in days!'' Little by little, day by day, Minnka was slowly starting to be normal given her situation; no one could really blame her.
Still, the traveling companions couldn't believe that Naraku knew about the future world where Kagome, Ariel and Minnka were from that thought alone had scared everyone- mainly Kagome. Ariel had to keep mental tabs on Naraku, blinking up in her younger sister's direction, who was sitting across from herself and Sesshomaru, as always Koga and Kagome were sitting by each other; Ariel's mind reading powers had returned in full force ''Ari?'' Kagome asked while all of them were taking their places by the fire on this slightly chilly night, the blonde jade eyed woman had looked at her while breast feeding Toga.
The monk was always forced to turn away, or look down, blinking ''Yes Kag?'' Ariel knew the question, not that she or anyone there could blame Kagome, with a sigh the young priestess had to ask ''Where is Naraku, is he still here in this world or in ours?'' As Toga got done having his fill, Ariel had placed her breast back in her black shirt and adjusted herself with Sesshomaru stepping in the way to make sure no male entertained the idea. After Toga was taken care of, it was Sesshomaru's turn to hold him, Ariel had remembered the fight against Naraku for Minnka's freedom and the shikon jewel; Ariel had remembered everything, how weak she had gotten, that was the scaredest that she ever she or ever will be.
Ariel had licked her lips and made eye contact with Kagome, before fully answering her, the blonde warrior witch of flame had honed in one more time on Naraku's twisted sick evil brain. Taking a deep breath as Kagome did so, she couldn't sense the jewel shards! Either Naraku was in hiding again or 'Precious One' Kikyo was aiding him like in the fight, shaking her head side to side Ariel had answered the priestess's question ''Kag, Narkau is not in our time, he is still in this time plotting his next sick move... killing me.'' Hearing Sesshomaru growl murderously, with a sleeping Toga in his strong arms. The blonde knew that her 'husband or mate' whatever he is meant well but really?!
Ariel was keeping a lot of mental tabs on both Naraku and Kikyo ''And I feel that Kikyo may play another role in our fate, I do not know wether it be for good or for evil; she is at a crossroads and she knows it. For her soul to truly move on, she must let go of you brother in law, and have myself and you and Kagome and Minnka forgive her but her deep seeded pride will not allow her to do so. I fear, Inuyasha and company that something will happen that will be out of our control, and Kikyo may aid us or hinder us I cannot see into the future my intuition is rarely wrong.'' Explained Ariel, while Inuyasha was standing by Minnka and Ayame with his arms crossed.
''Ariel, are you sure that you are reading Kikyo's thoughts?'' It wasn't as though Ariel would lie to him, his sister in law never lied, however he wanted to give Kikyo the benefit of the doubt first ''Inuyasha, listen to me, Kikyo never really loved you, remember after the fight with Naraku? I followed you, I saw it all...'' The hunters for both Naraku, answers and the shikon jewel had looked at both Inuyasha and Ariel as if for an explaintion...
Before Inuyasha could open his mouth, Ariel stopped him ''Allow me to do one better,'' Reaching in her bag and pulling out a crystal that immediately started to glow gold then red, Minnka had looked over and her blue eyes had widened in total disbelief. Ariel had her gaze completely on the fire, not noticing Minnka's surprised stare, without looking up from the fire she had continued ''This will show you all you need to know and more...'' Ariel had said while tossing the gemstone inside the fire; to which the flames started to swirl in circles as if the element itself was making a mini tornado. As the middle of the flames turned clear so that the friends and family could watch:
- Fire Memory-
A still weak and wounded Ariel had managed to slip away from Sesshomaru for a few moments, the jade eyed young woman happened to stumble upon both Inuyasha and Kikyo and they were not embracing, the silver hared half demon was yelling at his once loved one. Ariel had watched in total shock, as she continued to 'spy' or 'be nosy' she was really interested as to where this chat would go, and what kind of a lie that Kikyo would pitch to Inuyasha. Kikyo, who stood about six feet away from the red kimonoed half demon, slowly walked towards him ''Why Kikyo?'' He had hoarsely asked, and that itself was a good question, why did Kikyo aid Naraku against one Ariel 'Mate of Sesshomaru' again that was a good question.
Thanks to Kikyo, Minnka was going through terror and evil itself, Ariel had watched unblinkingly wishing to herself that she had her sword and Naraku's head and nuts on a jewel encrusted platter; if he was lucky enough she might let him live for a bit longer after she chopped off his dick and balls with a rusted old dull dagger. Well after she would let both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru get a few shots in as well, as Ariel had pulled herself from her musings,
she had realized that Kikyo had paralyzed Inuyasha! The blonde had to act fast, or the only one that could wield the sword of the Earth the guardian of all innocence- Tessiga- would be lost forever. Ariel was fighting her own pain, and limping and fast as she could to help him, until Kikyo's soul gathering demons were encircling the jaded eyed warrior witch.
As that had happened veins and other things had shot out and wrapped themselves around Ariel draining her powers and her strength, well what was left of it, struggling with everything that she was, Ariel's slight frame could only take so much! Straining to remain upright, as she was being forced to her knees, getting a lot weaker as the seconds were ticking by, Ariel had to think fast from what her fellow travelers had told her and Minnka before Naraku had challenged Ariel to a 'fight' they had told her that Kikyo was a very very powerful priestess. Ariel, who hadn't seen Kikyo in action until now, had to save Inuyasha true every now and then they would bicker and fight and argue and Kagome would 'sit' him and that would be the end of it...
Deep down there was a lot of respect between both Ariel and Inuyasha, and sometimes they would show it, but now Inuyasha's life was basically in her own hands ''Inuyasha! Snap out of it!'' Ariel had screamed at the top of her lungs until her already sore body was crying out in pain. Her body was crying out, as was she, Ariel was crying for her brother in law tears were flowing freely down her face; Kikyo looked over angrily and clenched her hand as if in a fist and in a tighten motion Ariel had let out a very painful scream. To her it felt like very rusty and dulled swords stabbing her all over, and then some, the blonde then had gone limp for a few moments as Kikyo started to coax Inuyasha to go to hell with her. Panting very painfully and heavily, Ariel weakly looked up with her hair fallen all around her face.
''Inuyasha, it's me Ariel! Snap out of it Kikyo cares nothing for you she is ashamed of you! Hear me well Kikyo; this pathetic trick of yours will not nor ever work! Inuyasha, hear me!'' Ariel cried out hoping again hope that the silver hared hot headed half demon could hear her out, and fast! Thinking fast as she possibly could ''Look I'm warning you corpse, Hands off of my brother!'' As that act had happened Inuyasha had snapped out of the trance like state that he was in, and Kikyo was clutching her chest and screaming while her heart and her head were pounding; very hard. As Inuyasha had quickly regained his normal mental state, and seeing Ariel reaching for him *Inuyasha come to me, Kikyo is lying to you! I'm right here!*
She had mentally called out to him reaching powerfully deep within herself.
Inuyasha had managed to try to get away from Kikyo, as the undead spiritual woman was aiming her energies at Ariel again and trying to weaken her some more to regain control over Inuyasha. To which, sadly, it had worked to a degree Inuyasha was half paralyzed and half awake; Ariel began to panic again! Biting her lower lip the blonde had think fast, extremely fast, blinking up at the two Ariel screamed again but louder and so full of powerful emotions ''KEEP YOUR UNDEAD COLD HANDS OFF OF MY BROTHER BITCH!'' The slightly built blonde had screamed at the undead spiritual woman, Kikyo had screamed and clutched her chest and fell backwards!
As Inuyasha fully regained himself again, he had clawed away from Kikyo yelling at her ''You never loved me!'' While landing by Ariel, who was breathing heavily and hoarsely, bringing her up to him and guiding her behind him, as what was left of her powers had re-entered her. Kikyo had managed to get away...
- End of memory-
The group had sat there in awe as Ariel slowly blinked her eyes and meeting their stares of both question and of confusion, licking her lips before she spoke and sighed ''That's why I was so weak, during our journey, I knew that we needed Inuyasha to help us. I knew that it would cost me most of my strength, well what was left of it, I knew that after the fight with Naraku I was very weak and my sister was gone...'' Said Ariel making eye contact with her baby sister, before continuing ''During the fight I felt that he was holding back until the end of it; until Kikyo had gotten involved and I don't know why still only she has the answers to my questions, and yes Minni I will ask her nicely before taking the information that I seek by force.'' Minnka had let a small grin form, her and Ariel knew each other very well, without reading their minds.
Minnka can read minds very now and then, but her strengths were lighting and love and innocence, Ariel had sadly looked over at her baby sister feeling the guilt feeling the pain that the nineteen year old had gone through; to which she had experienced first hand the aftermath of the fight. Ariel wished that she were stronger and not human, it just seemed like that she had never belonged anywhere at all in her life; but seemingly by Sesshomaru and by Rin, it just seemed that it was perfect. Ariel felt like she was home, for once in her whole life, she had became an assassin at the age of 15; her teacher she was the most skilled and the most lethal of them all Sakura Minuambi. The tall and beautiful fighter had seen something in Ariel that she had never seen before, well in any female, so she had taken Ariel in as a student for two years.
And Ariel had proven that she was a very good student moving up the ranks fast impressed the unimpressive mentor, the blonde had proven herself to be very lethal and very powerful; Ariel became one of the most deadly female assassins not to mention the youngest. And now she was in the feudal era with her two younger sisters, and friends, and now she was a mother and 'mated/married' to Sesshomaru that man was beautiful to very degree of uber hot; however he could be a royal pain in the ass a good half of the time and them some.
As the days rolled by, Minnka was getting a very bad stomach virus Kagome's remedies and Ariel's were not helping, nothing was really settling her stomach the young nineteen year old couldn't understand what was happening with her and her stomach. Minnka's usual curvy but lean stomach had started to develop a slight bump, and her nasia had no bounds and then some the only thing that seemed to settle her stomach was chicken broth or beef broth ''Inuyasha?'' Minnka's scared voice had rung out ''Mate?'' He had answered while sitting by her and Ayame soon joined her two. Minnka was choking down the broth, at least she was getting some food in her, feeling her dominates hand on her cheek ''I think that Naraku may have gotten me sick...'' True her head was slightly fevered, and her stomach flu was getting a lot worse.
Ariel was watching the children and worrying about Minnka, who was taking a nap, due to the fact that she was up most of the night with evening sickness- a worried Inuyasha had taken off his trademark red kimono and covered Minnka with it. Ariel had watched that segment her jaded green eyes were on the verge of shinning with tears, the young mother had watched as Ayame knelt down and got near both of her mates to convey her comfort to both of them. Ariel was about five feet away deep down she had thought about this choice and had discussed it with Sesshomaru, it was a very painful choice all in all, her thoughts were wondering *They can protect her...* Ariel knew that Inuyasha and Ayame would and would protect her with their lives. With that very hard choice, came peace yet pain, all of her life she had protected her little sister; and she would live out her days with Sesshomaru and with Rin.
Ariel, The mercenary, had fallen in love with the Lord of The West Sesshomaru and birthed a child, by all rights and calm and sense the child should be a half demon just like Inuyasha. But somehow, she had given him a full blooded demon like himself oddly enough it wasn't a bad birth. Meaning Ariel didn't really 'that' much pain, oddly enough, she was still very weak from the fight with Naraku and being very weak from the recovery process; and everything else that she had been through. And Minnka, poor Minnka, having to go through hell itself and God only knew why she was getting so sick as of late. This worried Ariel and everyone, they didn't know what to expect from Naraku now let alone Kikyo; and now even 'she' was keeping a very low profile as well, Ariel and her companions couldn't help but shake the feeling that something wasn't right in the balances of nature.
The blonde warrior had snapped herself from her musings, while the children and young Toga were giving Jaken about twenty million degrees of hell. Ariel was giggling while the little ugly loud toady was screaming; and running all over trying to keep them calm. Kohaku was a good protector for Ariel's and Sesshomaru's 'daughter' Rin and Toga and Shippo; Sango's kid brother hadn't removed the necklace that Ariel had placed upon him to protect the boy from Naraku's mind control. Sango had seemed a lot happier, as was Kohaku he was glad to be back with his sister where he truly belonged. For a long time, Kohaku had blamed himself for he had done to both his father and his friends, not to mention Sango, the female demon slayer had forgiven him right away and she had explained to him that he wasn't of his own will let alone mind.
The blonde fire warrior had sensed Kikyo's presence, silently, she had slipped away the woman was worried about Sesshomaru- where did he go? Did he leave because of her? What did she do that was so wrong? Those questions were going all through her mind as of late, she was wondering maybe he had someone else in mind. With that thought in mind, she had felt that it was time to confront Kikyo as Ariel continued to walk towards the undead priestess's thoughts. As she had got to the clearing in a meadow, as the wind had picked up a bit as the blonde looked around to observe Kikyo walking out in the opening about five feet away from Ariel. As the undead woman's soul gathers were circling their mistress, as the blonde warrior was watching Kikyo like a hawk the young mother had reached for her newly re made sword, until Kikyo had held her hand up as if in a 'wait' or 'hold' type of motion.
''Ariel we need to talk,'' Came Kikyo's emotionless voice, Ariel's jade green eyes were not moving from Kikyo's form not even for a second, the undead woman didn't move from her spot ''Ariel, as I said we need to talk this is very important...'' Ariel's eyes had lit up further and with more anger, ''Oh we need to talk huh, Kikyo? About what? Want me to congratulate you on helping Naraku with nearly shooting my leg off? What is it that you wish to grace me with your presence?'' Ariel had asked in an angered tone of voice, not that Kikyo could blame her, the priestess had stepped forward slowly ''Not that I deserve this, Ariel, I do deserve this but I have came to tell you that Naraku is coming and he is more powerful now, due to the fact that he has a new sword I did not know the name of this particular weapon. I know that you do not believe me, not that I blame you, giving what I had done to you and to Minnka. You two were dragged in this... I know that you have questions Ariel and I have answers.'' Kikyo had explained while looking around trying to get a read on Naraku or even the jewel shards.
Ariel had looked at Kikyo as if she had lost her mind ''For all the hell that you have put not only myself but my sisters and my companions, and I'm supposed to listen to you? Didn't you have enough fun aiding your bed partner?'' The blonde had asked as if her mouth was filled with venom ''Ariel, I understand that you are very angry with me for what I had done, however let me explain this to you, for starters that dirty vile thing that is named Naraku will never be any type of bed partner to me not now not ever. And two, blonde warrior, you need to listen to me right now as I said before that dirty detestible creature by the name of Naraku is coming and he is coming to kill you, Ariel, unless you accept my aid and come with me now; I have no doubt within my mind nor within my reasoning of thought that he can and will succeed. I know that Sesshomaru, your mate and the father of your child, had left for sometime and none of you know when he will be back, I also know that Inuyasha was asked to protect you until the return; Ariel allow me to atone for what I had done, I am begging you here, I had no idea what he was going to do to Minnka or wanted to do to Minnka, if I would've known I would've helped you in any way that I could.'' Kikyo had explained while closing the distance between them.
Just then, Kikyo had perked up a bit, Ariel had noticed ''What is it?'' The blonde had asked while her guard was a lot higher than normal, with the wind picking up Kikyo had made eye contact with the woman that she was trying to save ''Naraku is coming...''
Meanwhile back to campers,
As Sesshomaru had gotten back, all had greeted him with respect, Toga hadn't seen his father yet due to the fact that he was busy playing with Jaken; definition of 'playing' he was biting the toady's hand, which made the kids giggle and the adults and or teens, then the baby had started to cry ''Momma!'' Toga reached out while Kohaku had picked him up and carried him to where everyone had thought where Ariel was sitting at; thinking that she was napping. Sesshomaru had flown over to the young teen demon slayer ''Hand him over, Kohaku,'' There was no threat within Sesshomaru's voice, he knew that as long as Kohaku was wearing that necklace that Ariel had placed upon the boy, everything was fine. As Toga had calmed down in his father's strong arms, the pup had looked around ''Mommy... hungy'' Toga was babbling his baby talk, while trying to nip at his father's claws. Rin was looking around ''Where's mommy?'' She had asked while blinking, as Minnka had quickly and quietly slipped away before anyone could or would notice her.
Meanwhile with the two women
Both Ariel and Kikyo were looking around with their weapons until Kikyo had picked up the feeling of the scared jewel that were very tainted; but something else that was combined with another sinister aura. Ariel had stepped in front of Kikyo looking around ''Do you sense him, Kikyo?'' The blonde had asked while upping her guard further and further. The spiritual undead woman had stepped beside Ariel ''Aye, he has a bunch of tainted shikon no tama shards combined with something else it's a very lethal and sinister aura; I have never encountered such a demonic energy...'' Ariel looked quickly over in Kikyo's general direction ''Where is he coming from?'' The blonde asked Kikyo very seriously while whipping her head around holding her sword upright while her longer hair was half up and half down; while the wind was picking up again Ariel's waist less white drawstring sweats were flipping around her legs, while the white tank top was flowing around her waist.
Ariel's white sneakers, were sliding somewhat along the grass, as miasma that was pure black... darker than normal... as the poisonous gas was becoming less and less around the individual that it was around...
As it had started to clear... there stood Naraku... there stood this sinister and dark person that had caused not only Ariel and Minnka a lot of pain, but Miroku and his family, Sango and her's, Inuyasha and Kikyo... and the tall dark spider half demon was chuckling wickedly while he had pulled a rather large sword from a special made sheath from his back...
Ariel couldn't believe what Naraku had in his posession... SOUNGA!
Meanwhile with the campers
After the group had split up to try to find Ariel, who's scent had 'seemingly' disappeared all were worried... very worried... just as their luck was turning from bad to worse, a familiar and not so friendly scent had wafted to the demons' and half demon's noses. As the dust had cleared, there stood Kagura and Kanna, Minnka who had gotten possession of her nephew Toga as Minnka was hiding behind Inuyasha and Ayame, all were preparing their weapons and battle stances Kanna had her mirror up to her chest, while Kagura had her fan ready for an attack Minnka stood there shaking and scared; knowing those two Naraku wouldn't be too far behind. Minnka was craning her head and her senses to see if Naraku was close by before she had settled her blue stare back upon the two incarnations of Naraku, licking her red lips, before laying her free hand on Inuyasha's shoulder ''Kagura, Kanna, please don't do this I'm begging you...'' Both female demons had looked over in Minnka's general direction, who shuddered while tighten her hold on a crying Toga.
Sesshomaru had taken a step towards one of his sisters in law, Toga had babbled more in fear ''Mommy!'' he had whimpered while blindly grabbing at Minnka, who was trying to soothe him like Ariel would, but she could do so much ''Minnka, or should I say 'Lady' Hitomi, nothing personal, I rather like you, but all is fair love and war as you mortals put it...'' The wind demon had said while looking lustfully at the taiyoukai of the Western Lands, all the travellers were choking down bile for the Lord of the Western lands, who in turn mentally shuddered; however couldn't shake the feeling that something was very much off about Kagura's expressions, and actions, Kagome had spoken first ''What do you dweezles want? Where's Naraku?'' The new priestess hotly asked not backing down from the two, oddly enough, Kagome was picking up a familiar aura and Naraku's sinister one as well; they both knew that the priestess could sense their master, and came well prepared. While the fighters were readying themselves for the two's attacks, Kagura had laughed ''You still have one final chance Sesshomaru, my master and I will forgive you for your lack of judgement for mating with that disguising thing by the name of Ariel...'' The wind witch had said while eying Sesshomaru like a hungry tiger.
As that act had happened, Toga had let out a growl, Minnka held the pup close as possible to her while she was shaking her head side to side ''Kagura, please I am begging you here, Naraku and you have done enough to everyone of us please stop Ariel and I have done no wrong to any of you not that I would wish what I had to go through on anyone. But Kagura, enough, please Sesshomaru here doesn't want you... find someone else and leave him alone... and tell Naraku to leave my sisters and myself alone!'' Minnka had finally found her backbone, Kagura just laughed more and raising her fan up, at that moment Koga and Sango had attacked while Kagome was subduing Kanna's powers and her mirror with her arrows and spiritual powers. As Miroku and Sesshomaru had turned to their left, they had seen hoards and hoards of Naraku's demons coming at them at break neck speed! Shippo, Kohaku and Rin were running and hiding somewhere until they were told that they could come out; little did they know what was going to happen about a few feet away, little did they know what tragic action would take place...
As Rin happened to look over to her left and notice Ariel and that Kikyo lady!
Back to the four (technically) that consisted of Naraku, Sounga, Kikyo and Ariel...
Ariel looked out of the corner of her eye at Kikyo, who had glanced back, and both women had focused their attention right back at the half demon that was wielding the sword of pain and of hell that was known as Sounga. Ariel, who was told that someone that was incredibly powerful or very evil could wield this particular sword; rumor had it that it was possessed by a very evil dragon demon of hell itself, Ariel was more concerned for her children and her sisters and her man, and her friends rather than herself. Kikyo had aimed her arrow and said to Ariel ''Blonde warrior, Naraku has the tainted and almost completed shikon no tama, in his right pocket inside of his kimono...'' Ariel nodded her head up and down in complete and total understanding; she knew that she had to find someway to get that jewel away from Naraku and the sword of hell as well. Ariel knew that that sword could read minds, then she had wondered if she could read Sounga's mind, or if it could read her's if her blade were to clash with it. Ariel's thoughts were interrupted when Kikyo had elbowed her in the hip a bit to get her attention.
Both knew that no matter what happened today, Naraku had to die, there was no question there was no ifs and or buts about the situation- or even a bit of hesitation in the matter at all! Ariel could hold her own with Naraku, but with Sounga there was only one that could handle the sword and he was in heaven with his mate... Inu No Taisho... Inu Papa...Toga... whatever people and or demons alike would call him; Ariel thought for a moment what if Sesshomaru could weild it!
It was a long shot, not that she was doubting her mate any, but Ariel had to form a fast battle plan in her mind right away- she was reading Naraku's mind without the dark hared man even knowing *So he plans on getting Minnka once more and marking her upon me dying... never... I will burn in hell before that happens!* The blonde that thought to herself as she had planned out an attack and went on to attack Naraku with Kikyo covering her back.
Back to the travelers:
In the midst of the battle, Minnka had hid herself with her nephew, she was moving her hip length black mane off of her shoulder and looked over with the pup still in her arms and saw the children ''Lady Minnka, are you hurt?'' Kohaku had asked while guiding the two over to where they were hiding, Minnka had placed Toga down between Rin and Shippo, and looked around had happened to notice a sinister barrier that was forming around the fighters, Minnka saw her sister and Kikyo and Naraku. Naraku was holding another sword in his hands, it had dawned on the lighting warrior witch that was no ordinary sword, but Sounga, her blue eyes had widen in total shock Minnka couldn't believe that Naraku could take a hold of such an evil weapon; but then again the spider half demon had no qualms about raping Minnka. Sometimes he would have Kohaku watch, the poor boy was begging him to stop, but those cries had gone unheard Minnka wanted to kill herself, but she wouldn't give that rat bastard the satisfaction... but that last day that she and the boy were there, Naraku was acting very erratic almost scarier than her discovering his dirty little secert.
As Minnka had quickly pulling herself from her memories, watching with fear and budding tears in her eyes remembering the last time that Kikyo was near a fight between Ariel and Naraku. As the group that wasn't in the fight, minus Toga who was babbling about mommy, they figured that he might be smelling her scent ''Mommy... hungy... mommy danger...'' He kept on babbling, and sucking his thumb, Shippo knew that he had to think fast... very fast... then it hit him! Shippo could change forms! Foxkits do have that power, the young fox demon was thinking fast of what form that he had to take... then it hit him! Shippo had hid himself from the onlookers and naturally the people that were within the barrier, the young foxkit had expanded his small frame and prayed it would be enough to buy both Aunt Ariel and Kikyo sometime against both Naraku and Sounga. Shippo's thought for a moment as his new form had settled in, he didn't smell any vindictiveness around Kikyo all he could smell was sorrow and humility for the undead woman's behavior towards Ariel and towards Shippo's surrogate mother Kagome. As the newly transformed Shippo had came out from his hiding spot, he was getting shocked stares from the startled onlookers, as both Ariel and Naraku were clashing their blades...
Within the barrier, Ariel was panting heavily, seemingly Sounga could read her mind and that was aiding Naraku a great deal not to mention the shikon jewel; basically he was almost like a God at this point, and he could easily kill them, if she didn't act fast and get either the sword or the jewel away from him ''I'll play with you Ariel!'' Naraku laughed out loud and dove and grabbed her neck trying to break it, as that had happened, Kikyo had acted without the slightest bit of hesitation, and aiming her arrow with her very trusty bow and fired at Naraku! As the arrow narrowly missed his diving figure, an approaching figure had seized his opportunity and with some difficulty managed to get through the dark miasma filled barrier... at that moment... Naraku's trademark eyes had widen in total shock... Sesshomaru?! How?
Then he quickly recovered and realized that the silver hared inu taikyoukai was acting very strange, if that was really Sesshomaru he would be all over Ariel right now, and threatening Naraku with bodily harm. As the dark hared half demon had figured it out that was the foxkit that travels with Inuyasha and that Kagome girl... the Kikyo copy... Shippo had acted fast! The young foxkit had wrapped his new tail and hair around the half spider demon's frame, Ariel had quickly gotten up and reached inside of Naraku's kimono on the right side as Kikyo had said, the jewel was there ''Kikyo! catch!'' Ariel had yelled and threw the tainted jewel at the undead priestess, to which she had caught, and it halfway purified... as Shippo's original form had transformed back, at that moment, he was thrown by Naraku who had broken out of the hold and Ariel was clashing swords with Naraku. Kikyo had caught Shippo and handing him the halfway purified jewel ''Foxkit, hear me well, take this to Kagome and get Inuyasha!'' Kikyo had yelled, while weaking the barrier and quickly guiding the child fox demon out the barrier. As Kikyo had turned around to see Naraku's claws lengthened as their swords were held together.
Ariel, the smaller of the two, couldn't get out of the way of Naraku's claws from going into her right side the blonde gasped out loud and thrusted her sword at Naraku who dodged and seemingly disappeared. Ariel had fallen onto one knee, grasping her side tightly ''Kikyo! Do you sense him?!'' Ariel had panted out in pure pain, while the blonde acted fast and ripped off a piece of her clothen and half assed patched it on her side to try to stop the bleeding. Kikyo was weakly getting up, somehow her arrows were blasted out of her hands, and somehow Ariel's sword was at the undead priestess's feet; the woman had bent down and picked it up- Kikyo with Ariel's sword within her grasp looked back at her ''Ney, Ariel, I can not sense him Sounga must be masking his energies and aura!'' Screamed Kikyo while limping, seemingly during the fight, Naraku had injured Kikyo's ankle and shoulder that he had wounded fifty years prior.
Shippo wasted no time, running as fast as he could, with the shikon jewel around his neck as he had gotten to the campsite to see; Kagura! And Kanna and a bunch of Naraku's dead demons; as the young fox kit had ran up to his companions he had heard his surgant mother Kagome ''I sense a half purified jewel shard!'' All had snapped their heads to her, before she had felt something had collided with her legs. Startled, Kagome had looked down, shocked ''Shippo! That's Naraku's jewel shard!'' They hunters were looking at the young demon, who handed Kagome the jewel which purified the rest of the way ''Shippo where did you get this?!'' The foxkit was still heavily breathing, and pointing from where he was running ''N-Naraku- K-Kikyo- Ariel... SOUNGA!'' Both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had looked at each other in total shock and in total disbelief, did they just heard right? Shippo was shaking and telling them what had transpired...
Back to the action,
Minnka had told Kohaku to stay with Rin and Toga, as she had carefully and quietly snuck down to the barrier, the nineteen year old mate of both Inuyasha and Ayame was being as quiet as possible the submissive of the three was going to find a way to get in that barrier and save her sister. Oddly enough, she wanted to save Kikyo too, it looked like the undead priestess wanted to atone for her wrong, as Minnka had reached the barrier. The blue eyed raven hared pale woman had to figure out how to get in the barrier, and fast, as she had gotten within centimeters of the miasma filled thing Minnka could see perfectly what was happening; oddly enough her hearing and speed and sight had gotten better? She knew that Naraku was close by, but where, the young woman had thought maybe she could run and get both her Inuyasha and her brother in law Sesshomaru but who knows what would happen in that time frame. Ariel was gasping and holding her right side and panting, Kikyo was leaning on both her own bow and Ariel's Sword to keep her up; Minnka needed to get in there and now! Slowly reaching her hand to touch the barrier -ZAP!- ''Damnit!'' She swore while shaking the sting off of her hand.
Meanhwhile with the running companions
All were running to save the two, they were running fast as they could, all involved in this battle against Naraku knew every second counted, God only knew what he could be doing to both Ariel and to Kikyo... As they had gotten there the group had seen Minnka who has turned to see who was coming, motioning for them to hurry like now! The barrier was changing color, from black to a very violent red, Kagome oddly enough was the first one to get there. As Kikyo had looked off and saw Kagome who pointed at the tainting jewel shard, the undead woman's lifeless eyes lit up and ran towards Ariel, all who looked shocked and worried Naraku was descending upon the blonde with Sounga in his hands; Naraku seemed to be of his own mind while he was swiftly closing the distance between himself and his victim, his kill, Ariel... Kagome and them were trying in vain to get in the barrier and try to protect Ariel from a very violent outcome, Kagome was banging on the outer part of the barrier until her knuckles bled ''ARI!'' Kikyo was trying to get there, until Naraku and Sounga had pierced Ariel's flesh from behind, she had let out a very painful scream almost like a phoenix dying...
Minnka had screamed in pure pain... while having her hands on her ears and falling to her knees ''I'll do anything! NO!''
Sesshomaru had let out a very murderous snarl...
Naraku's red eyes were in the back of his head... he was purring in pleasure...
Sounga was glowing as well...
Kikyo had the sword of Ariel raised to attack, as Naraku and Sounga had made contact with Ariel's flesh, blood was pouring out from her wound as Naraku had ripped Ariel's lifeless bloody battered body from his sword... forgetting Kikyo, she somehow had blinded him and opened a portal to hell and her and what was left of Ariel threw the sword in hell...
The undead priestess had caught Ariel and both of them had disappeared ... Just as the two vanished, Naraku had regain his composure and he left too before anyone could notice him...
(End this was just an alternate way that Ariel could've died... R&R...)
