CASEY P.O.V
"You ready?" I asked picking a bag up off the bed.
"Yep" Lani said doing her little hooray face
We were getting closer. We could finally see eye-to-eye
"Well come on then" I said reaching out for her hand. We got to the car and I froze. the last time we were in the car together she almost died
"Casey?" she said
"Uh yeah" I replied
When we got home heath, Bianca, Brax and Ricky were there.
"Hey!" Bianca yelled running up to us as we walked through the door
"Hey" Lani replied hugging her
"Aunty Lani" Darcy yelled running up to her
"Aw hey darce" She replied
"Be careful Darce" Heath said coming up behind her
I could see the look on Lanis face as she tried to smile through the pain
LANI P.O.V
I was glad to be home it was even better that Darce was here. She was more like a sister than a niece after all there was only four years between night I went to bed early to try and get some sleep. even though I may have been glad to be home but at the same time I wasn't. I was sick of the cops coming around. I wish charlie was still here I didnt like her replacement she was really bitchy.
CASEY P.O.V
I knocked on the door and opened it " Lani time to get up"
She groaned and threw a pillow at me
"Hey come on" I said picking up the pillow " I gave you a sleep in"
She looked at her watch "20 minutes is not a sleep in"
"Thats an eight not a six" I laughed
"What" She moaned
"Dont worry its just you and me today"
"Oh yay" She said getting out of bed
"So what do you want for breakfast?"
"Toast Please" She said sitting on the couch
I went and sat on the couch next to her. She looked at me and laughed.
"What?" I asked
"Nothing" She said changing the channel
not long later she started laughing again "whats burning?"
"OH no" I said running over to the toaster
"Note to self: never let Casey cook"
"shut up" I said scraping the charcoal into the sink
For the rest of the day we sat on the couch watching movies. Halfway through the matrix Lani fell asleep with her head in my lap. I found it cute. I was finally bonding with my baby sister. I ran my hand through her hair from the black roots down to the golden tips. she was no longer the young girl I remember. The last i saw her she was missing her two front teeth , had her long brunette hair in two braids and dotted her I's with love hearts.
I could hear Heath and Brax arguing as they walked to the front door.
"Well how was I supposed to know" Asked Heath
" Use your head" replied Brax
"Oi will you two drop it" I said to them "Lani's trying to sleep"
" Aw look at you two all cosey" Said Heath
" Shut up Heath" I said trying to get up without waking Lani
" Geez Case you could have done the dishes" said Brax
"What were you two complaining about anyway"
"Nothing" He replied
I looked at him and squinted my eyes
"Dont look at me like that"
I scoffed and shook my head
