"Aww sewer bunnies," Mikey gulped, ducking his head behind the barrier once again.

"What?" Karai muttered, raising a brow at Mikey's previous statement. As the robotic footsteps increased in loudness, Karai gave a weak sigh and began to shift back into her mutant serpent form, her green eyes reflecting the orange beams of the sunset. "We're not going to fight them," she hissed, slithering silently out of the ticket barrier block and heading towards the broken rusted railings of the bridge.

Nervously, Mikey followed her lead while whimpering about safety which Karai ignored. He let out a shrill scream as a van suddenly burst through the tunnels and slammed straight into the large number of footbots, crushing the robotic ninjas before speeding off towards New York. "What the heck?" Mikey blinked, waving his arms as the van began to disappear. "That's April's van! Hey, April! Come back!" Mikey yelled before dropping his arms and groaning.

"Move it, Mikey!" Karai shouted, signalling the young turtle to follow her under the bridge.

"We're going the same place as April, right?" Mikey asked in a small voice as he carefully walked under the metal platforms. "She's going to be so mad at us, Karai."

"Oh yeah," Karai rolled her eyes as they continued to climb under the bridge, "because I really care what O'Neil thinks of me."

"You guys still don't get on, huh?" Mikey asked innocently.

"I guess," Karai shrugged. "She doesn't agree with the way I get things done; says I'm reckless."

Mikey didn't respond but Karai's explanation made him grin a little. It seemed a lot of things didn't change, even after thirty years.

"WOOHOO!" April yelled, speeding down the deserted streets of the city while Angel clung on to the dashboard of the van in fright.

"Red!" Angel shouted, wincing as the vehicle knocked into several half-destroyed cars and garbage cans. "Slow the hell down!"

"No can do, buddy!" April responded, grinning widely as she continued to drive hazardously. "Gotta' cause a distraction, right?" April quickly shot Angel a triumphant look. "Now, get out of the van!"

"WHAT?!" Angel shrieked.

"You need to get into Shredder's base, right?" April smiled, slamming the brake down so that the van screeched to a halt outside of an old grocery store. "I'll keep driving and try to meet up with the guys when they get here. Sneak into the base and get Leatherhead and the others out."

After hearing April's words, Angel nodded in determination, "Got it, April. Good luck to ya'll," Angel winked, jumping out of the van and watching with a smile on her face as April sped off, leaving Angel to get to work.

"What on earth..." Shredder tilted his head at the sight of April's crazy driving filled several screens of his security camera lenses. "Bradford!" he roared, the skeletal canine mutant appearing outside the door in less than five seconds.

"Yes, Master Shredder?" the mutant spoke up before walking into the security room.

"That insolent girl just flattened more than half of my footbots," Shredder started quietly, "then look what happened while she did so," he added, pushing one of the buttons which showed Karai and Mikey climbing under the bridge to New York.

"S-Sir?" Rahzar took a step back, noticing his master shaking his arms in fury. "Is there something I can-"

"Oh there is something that you can do!" Shredder shouted angrily. "Maybe this: DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!"

"Right away, Master!" Rahzar yelped, quickly rushing out the room in fear.

"Stupid O'Neil girl..." Shredder muttered darkly, unsheathing the blades from his armour before heading out of the room. No doubt they were attempting to get the imprisoned mutants out of his base once again. Shredder's eyes narrowed at the thought as he headed towards his throne room. He held up one of his bladed-arms and smirked behind his helmet, it was time to start getting information from the turtle.
