The pounding in his head is thundering when Arthur finally opens his eyes, "Ugh…what the hell?" He doesn't want to move but he wants to get off the floor and the large cat glaring at him a few inches away. "Go away…cat."

Hero mewls loudly at him making his headache worse. "No go away and stop screaming…" He covers his head with a nearby blanket as a red Gatorade is sat by his head.

"Hero, leave Arthur alone." Alfred whispers picking up the cat, "Sorry…"

"It's okay." Gilbert pops his head out from under his own blanket, "We'll be fine in a few hours." He smiles while his own head is pounding. "If you don't mind dropping us off at my car and we'll take it from there."

"I don't see why not."

"Shh…" Arthur curls up on the floor, "Too loud…"

Suddenly a scream sends all three men bolting up, "Lily!?" Alfred shouts as he races into their bedroom, "Oh god!"

It's all a blur for the next half hour but soon the three men are sitting in a waiting room, "Alfred…" Arthur doesn't know what else to say as he just rests his hand on the younger man's shoulders. "Can I call someone?"

Slowly the taller blonde shakes his head, "She…what if Vivian doesn't make it?"

"She'll make it Lad, she's not…that…she's in one of the best hospitals in the state." Arthur forces a smile not only has he never been in this situation before his painful hangover makes him want to find a dark hole to hide in.

After a while Gil hands the two blondes a bottle of coke as he sits on the left of the soon to be father, "How far along is she?"

"N-Nearly eight…" Alfred's hands are trembling as he tries to open the bottle before finally giving up as Arthur takes it and opens it for him. "Thanks…"

They sit in silence for a while before Gilbert clears his throat, "So do you need my phone?"

"Why?"

"To call her parents and yours."

"They won't come…" It comes with a pained chuckle, "Her Dad disowned her and mine…well."

"Then call your brother." Gilbert hands over his phone with a warm smile, "We'll wait here until you come back." When Alfred takes it and walks out Gil turns to his old friend, "I think he's just scared, his parents sound un-awesome but I'm sure they'd show up."

"Maybe, maybe not; but why don't you take my phone and text everyone and don't make any sexual comments to Francis or Eliza on it either." Arthur gives him a glare for good measure as he hands over the phone.

"What? I won't dream of it. Now Roderich would be different or maybe Dylan?"

"Just make the fucking calls…and grab me another Gatorade please."

"Only because you said please and good luck on your end." And with that Gil walks out.

Soon Alfred returns wiping his eyes as he sits back down, "Well her brother is overseas and Mattie will try to be here as soon as he can but…"

"Do you want me to talk to them?"

Alfred looks down at his outreached palm, "They don't know you…"

"Which makes it far easier for me."

Slowly Alfred hands over his phone although he's not a hundred percent why, "Her name is Augustine Jones…"

"And you're father?"

"He doesn't talk much…so it'll probably be my Mama but um…god did Church end yet?" He looks at the clock as Arthur clicks on the number and puts the phone to his ear.

It rings twice before a woman answers, "Alfred, unless this is an apology you might as well hang up."

"Actually Ma'am this isn't him."

There's a slight pause before Augustine speaks again after clearing her throat, "Then who is this and why did you call me?"

He straightens up in his chair seeing Gilbert returning, "My name is Arthur Kirkland and I'm a friend of your son Alfred." He could have said boss but at this time friend feels better to say.

"Oh? And what has my 'son' done this time that you have to call me on his phone?"

Instantly he doesn't like her tone as he tries to keep himself calm, "You're son hasn't done anything, he's just becoming a father is all just a little early than expected and wanted to let you know. In fact we're at-"

She quickly cuts him off, "I really don't care what hospital you're at or what that bastard child is."

"I'm sorry but it is your granddaughter and he is married to the young woman. Lily Jones is her name and both work for me now we're at Hershey Med if you want to come see your grandchild."

On the other end the older woman glares at the phone, "They're 'marriage' wasn't a real one. Let marriage be held in honor among us, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. I know she's early and this is God's will, he is judging them for defiling themselves and being immoral."

At this moment she thought she's won and all that's left is for this Kirkland man is to blink confused before asking what or simply hanging up but instead he clears his throat, "I doubt its God judging them since Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. If you're a little rusty that's Psalms 127 line three through five. Also I'd recommend rereading Corinthians again."

She doesn't know what to say, "Excuse me?" Even her husband looks at her, "How dare you-"

"Oh you see I dare. Have a fucking good day Mrs. Jones." He hangs up with his eyes closed trying not to throw the phone across the room. "She might not be coming…"

"What did you say to her? Cause that sounded like bible verses."

"Yes well she started it and god was she so smug about it." He quickly hands back the phone before he has a chance to kill it. "But we'll stay here with you Al."

Gil nods, "Yep you're stuck with us."

The nineteen year old smiles, "Thanks but you don't have to."

"We want to and we'll have company soon."

"Company?"

"Mr. Jones?" A Doctor asks walking out into the now slightly crowed waiting room now filled with most of Alfred's co-workers.

Quickly he's on his feet, "Yeah is she okay? Are they both okay?"

The older man gives him a small smile, "You're wife is fine but…I think we should finish this talk in private…"

It takes everything for him not to sink to his knees, "Is my baby girl…"

"She's alive but," He along with Arthur escorts him into a small room, "Sir I think it's best I only talk to the eminent family about this."

Arthur nods slowly, "It's okay I'm his older brother…"
